    • Tottenham Hotspur
    • Charlton Athletic
    • 90+3' FULL-TIME: A good showing from Spurs in the end, who responded to the introduction of Luka Modric and scored three goals in fifteen minutes. That killed off a spirited Charlton performance. The right result in the end, and Spurs are in the hat for the fourth round.
    • 90+2' Speculative effort from Racon - only two problems with it - it was miles high, and miles wide.
    • 90+1' Another good stop from Cudicini, denying Doherty a goal against his former club with a point-blank header!
    • 90' Charlton throw bodies forward for a corner kick as we enter stoppage time.
    • 89' There are positives Charlton can take from this one. They can take heart from the performance of Elliot, who has kept the score down, and they stopped Spurs in their tracks in the first half.
    • 88' CUDICINI TIPS OVER! Good save from the shot of Sodje, fed by Reid - the effort was unsighted, going through a couple of Spurs defenders on its way to goal, but Cudicini watched it well and palms over the bar.
    • 87' ASSOU-EKOTTO CLOSE! A decent hit and a curled effort which Elliot does well to tip around the corner!
    • 86' Defoe, of course, began his career at youth level at Charlton. He's eyeing up a free-kick - but it looks like Assou-Ekotto will take this one instead.
    • 85' One player still very much buzzing around the field is Defoe, who is sniffing a hat-trick.
    • 84' Charlton look to break, but just as they do Racon falls to the ground to ironic cheers from the crowd.
    • 83' Another great block by the Charlton defenders, stopping Kranjcar's menacing effort.
    • 82' Townsend's cross eventually cleared away by Dailly. The game is petering out to an inevitable conclusion.
    • 81' Substitute Reid, a replacement for McCormack, plays in Sodje, and the striker very nearly gets the better of Cudicini there. Half a chance for the visitors.
    • 80' Great interception from Racon who denies Defoe at the far post a golden chance of making a hat-trick.
    • 80' It's six years since the Addicks last recorded a victory over Spurs; 2-0 in March 2005 at the Valley - and it will be another while yet.
    • 79' TOWNSEND LETS FLY! Just wide of the far post on his left foot as Elliot forced to scramble to the long-range effort. The 19-year-old is full of confidence.
    • 78' And the same again - Cudicini once again up to this one.
    • 77' Francis tries a high ball into the box - Cudicini, who is still alert, makes a confident catch.
    • 76' More Spurs pressure - Pavlyuchenko foiled, Townsend blocked, and despite a man-advantage as Tottenham break with pace, Charlton hold them off.
    • 75' Wagstaff wins a corner! Good pace from the Charlton man, hitting a shot which Cudicini has to tip around the corner.
    • 74' And Chelsea have kicked off against managerless Ipswich in the 3pm kick-off. Follow that one here.
    • 74' Manchester United still clinging on to their early lead as we go into the final quarter of an hour at Old Trafford. Keep up to date with that one here.
    • 73' Sodje is down here for Charlton. Looks like he took a blow to the head.
    • 72' Admittedly it's against lower league opposition, but Townsend's performance is a sign that the failure to sign Beckham may be no great loss.
    • 71' Tottenham are 45 places higher than the Addicks on the league ladder, going into the weekend. It is finally showing.
    • 70' Anyinsah off - Sodje on. It's been a lonely afternoon for the Charlton striker, who's had to work hard with little to show for it.
    • 69' Rearguard action, damage limitation - it's for situations like this that the phrases exist.
    • 68' Sandro has a shot as he takes a tumble, but he's not miles away. Assou-Ekotto in next, and he goes close as well.
    • 67' FRANCIS NEARLY SCORES AN OWN-GOAL! It's made by Townsend surging into the box and sending in an awkward ball. He's having a day to remember.
    • 66' Still a quarter of this game to go. The score could get ugly unless Charlton stay committed.
    • 65' Townsend looking like a seasoned veteran, turning this way and that down the right, before getting the ball across into the middle. Modric looks set to make it four, but it's a terrific block from Doherty to deny him!
    • 64' Corluka doesn't protest as he's called for handball on his way into the Charlton penalty area. Good flowing football from the home side in the build-up, however.
    • 62' Charlton players looking confused about the formation - they've been shell-shocked by this onslaught.
    • 61' Charlton playing for pride now - and it's a real battle to hold on to it after a determined first-half effort.

    • 58' Charlton have been undone by Spurs raising their game a gear - their standard hasn't dropped dramatically, but now the dream is surely over.
    • 57' DEFOE SCORES! Passes it into the goal as the Charlton defence parted - he beat three on a direct run and his angled finish was classy. Tie over, surely.
    • 56' DEFOE'S TURN TO GO CLOSE! The ball goes wide - it needed an early strike but the England striker gets the ball caught under his feet.
    • 55' Modric has been the key change for Spurs - he's quickened up the passing and looks the class act on the field. Good substitute for the hosts.

    • 51' GOOD SAVE FROM ELLIOT! Left-handed stop to deny Pavyluchenko, who had teased his way into some space before getting his shot away.
    • 50' GREAT SHOT FROM FRY! Thundering shot from Fry, and Cudicini is forced into his first save of the match - and it's a critical one!
    • 50' Spurs - and Townsend himself - deserved that. How can Charlton respond?
    • 49' TOWNSEND SCORES! ON HIS DEBUT! He lets fly after Sandro plays it his way and a low shot from all of 25 yards gives him his first goal for Spurs and the home side a deserved lead.
    • 48' It's all Spurs in the second half - Assou-Ekotto wins a throw close to the byline.
    • 47' Pavlyuchenko has a shot blocked, then Samedo as Spurs apply some pressure early in the second half.
    • 46' Wagstaff and Defoe collide just seconds into the second period, and both are down. Wagstaff looks to have hurt his shoulder, but they both slowly rise to their feet.
    • 46' The second half begins!
    • - Modric replaces Palacios.
    • - Looks like Spurs will make a change at the break. Modric is coming on.
    • 45+1' HALF-TIME: Strangely silent as we reach the interval. But that's to Charlton's credit - they've largely nullified the threat of Spurs. Redknapp's side have had the better of the game, but he'll need to change things around in the second period to break the deadlock. Join us in a few minutes to see how the second half pans out.
    • 45' Just one minute of stoppages to play.
    • 45' Racon's ball into the box is chased manfully by Jackson but it's too high for him. Cudicini yet to make a save for all the Addicks' efforts.
    • 44' Charlton need to make sure they keep it tight going into the interval. It's been a hard-working display in the first-half, with a couple of moments to give the visitors hope.
    • 43' Kranjcar's reverse ball for Defoe looks skilful, but he's just overhit it. Another frustrating chase for Defoe.
    • 42' CLOSE FROM SPURS! Kranjcar picks up the rebound from Doherty, sends it right to Townsend, and from the cross Pavlyuchenko puts a header wide. Better from the hosts.
    • 42' Assou-Ekotto gets into the middle and cuts in, but Doherty clears it out.
    • 41' You can see Redknapp turning to the likes of Modric or Van der Vaart in the second half - with Palacios and Sandro in the centre of midfield the home side are lacking a creative spark - their best outlet has been Townsend on the right.
    • 40' Charlton without a win in five League One matches - that goes back to November - but you wouldn't know it from the determined way they've approached this game against their Premier League opponents.
    • 39' Play fizzles out for Spurs - Wagstaff threatens to break but it's Pavlyuchenko who recovers the ground and makes a tackle to stop the Charlton break.

    • 36' Jackson does a great job down the flank and Wagstaff claiming for a corner as the ball comes in from the left. It's a good move from the Addicks.
    • 35' There's been a red card at Old Trafford - which way has it gone? Click here to find out.
    • 34' The ball bounces around in the box after Townsend gets around Fry - but finally the Addicks clear. 19-year-old Townsend looks like a livewire for Spurs in a side that have otherwise been quite slow.
    • 33' Sandro's cross is a poor one - he claims for a corner but the referee isn't interested.
    • 32' Defoe bears down on the full-back, Charlton forced to give away a throw.
    • 31' That was a warning for Spurs - the hosts have yet to make their possession and dominance count - in fact, they've only forced Elliot into one clear save.
    • 30' JACKSON CLOSE! A chance from nothing - Wagstaff suddenly whips a low ball in from the right and it very nearly fell right into Jackson's path!
    • 29' Kranjcar stands over another free-kick. After much deliberating from the referee to make sure the wall stands the full ten yards back, the shot sails over the bar. Poor effort.
    • 27' Incredible to think that just three-and-a-half years ago Charlton met Spurs in the Premier League - it's been a tale of woe since the Addicks dropped out of the top flight.
    • 26' Racon tries a shot from distance. Wildly ambitious - Cudicini not called into action as the ball sails out of play.
    • 25' Spurs building patiently - Pavlyuchenko lurking in the middle but as he tries a one-two with Corluka the offside flag goes up.
    • 24' Sandro wins a throw-in and Spurs are back on the move.
    • 23' Midway through the first half and all square. Charlton holding on well, but Spurs are getting closer.
    • 22' Anyinsah gets the better of Bassong, works his way into the box, and slips just as he's about to try a shot on goal. Good move from the Charlton man, shame about how it finished.
    • 21' DEFOE! It's so close - his shot is cleared off the line by Christian Dailly - and the veteran has made a crucial stop for the visitors to keep them in the game.
    • 20' A reminder that Manchester United and Liverpool are also in action - the hosts have struck themselves into an early lead. Follow it here.
    • 19' Poor tackle from Sandro on Racon - the game has been passing him by a little so far - as has his season, to be fair.
    • 18' PAVLYUCHENKO CLOSE! A hit from long distance which tested Elliot and he spilt it. Defoe was almost on the rebound.
    • 17' Wagstaff looking for a penalty when collides with Assou-Ekotto. As an appeal it draws laughs rather than anything else.
    • 16' It's not one-way traffic, despite the possession stats. Charlton doing their best to be positive.
    • 15' Racon to Jackson, spread wide left to Fry, but his centre is cleared out by the Brazilian Sandro.
    • 14' Possession about 73%-27% in favour of the hosts. Can they make it count?
    • 13' CLOSE! Good hit from Kranjcar, with plenty of curl - but wide of the target, drifting past the right hand post.
    • 12' Townsend drifting in from the right hand side has won a useful free-kick from around 25 yards. Kranjcar fancies this one.
    • 11' Overhit cross from Francis, but the League One side doing a decent job of holding on to their more illustrious opponents.
    • 10' Assou-Ekotto atones by clearing the corner, and Palacios acrobatically gets the ball even further away with an overhead kick.
    • 9' Anyinsah wins a corner from Assou-Ekotto - chance for the visitors.
    • 8' The Charlton wall holds up well as Tottenham try a free-kick. The hosts have had the majority of the possession, but the visitors are holding it together.

    • 6' Corner for Spurs after Jackson caught napping.
    • 5' Low ball into the middle from Racon and there were bodies in the box for Charlton! Good delivery but Spurs clear it this time.
    • 4' Townsend very nearly releases Defoe with a classy backheel. And you thought debutants were supposed to be nervous.
    • 3' Promising beginning from Townsend, who's on his debut for Spurs. It's good to see a sell-out here at the Lane on a weekend of low turnouts - perhaps fans were hoping to see David Beckham paraded today?
    • 2' Good cross from Townsend! Across the face of goal and not far away from Kranjcar!
    • 1' We're away at White Hart Lane!
    • 13:25 All change at Charlton. On the face of it fifth in League One doesn't sound too bad, but a winless streak and a change of ownership led to the departure of Phil Parkinson and his backroom staff, and the reverberations are still being velt at the Valley. It's a tough day for Keith Peacock, who is in caretaker charge of the club. Parkinson 'left disappointed'
    • 13:20 It's a much-changed Spurs team for this fixture - but it's a testament to the strength in depth that there don't appear to be many weak links in Redknapp's line-up. Plus, should the side run into any trouble, there's the experience and class of Lennon, Jenas, Van der Vaart and Modric on the bench.
    • 13:20 Ledley King played in the last FA Cup meeting against Charlton when Spurs went 0-2 down before coming back to win 4-2 in Round 4 in 2001 - but he's not involved today.
    • 13:15 CUP HEAD-TO-HEAD: Spurs and Charlton have been drawn together in the FA Cup three times with Spurs winning all three ties, one after a replay.
    • 13:10 TEAM NEWS - Tottenham: Cudicini, Corluka, Bassong, Dawson, Assou-Ekotto, Kranjcar, Palacios, Sandro, Townsend, Pavlyuchenko, Defoe - Subs: Pletikosa, Hutton, Lennon, Jenas, Van der Vaart, Modric /// Charlton: Elliot, Francis, Jackson, Semedo, Doherty, Wagstaff, Dailly, Racon, McCormack, Anyinsah, Fry - Subs: Worner, Llera, Abbott, Reid, Sodje, Fortune, Jenkinson
