    • 90+4' The whistle goes and Chelsea's late goals put the gloss on this result. Portsmouth were much better than the scoreline suggests.
    • 90+3' GOAL!! CHELSEA 4-0 PORTSMOUTH!! Lampard turns inside the Portsmouth box and fires a low finish home with virtually the last kick of the game!
    • 90+2' Portsmouth are unable to make good use of the set piece, and that is almost it for this match.
    • 90+1' Meireles goes into the book for a cynical trip on Futacs on the edge of the Chelsea box. Chance for a consolation?
    • 89' Lampard feeds Lukaku in the box with a neat reverse pass, and the young Belgian's cross is intercpeted and cleared by Mokoena.
    • 88' Chelsea substitution: Romelu Lukaku replaces Torres, who has claimed two assists today.
    • 87' GOAL!! CHELSEA 3-0 PORTSMOUTH!! Pompey are caught flat-footed as Torres plays the ball into Ramires's path with space ahead of him. Ramires bombs forward and has Torres running with him but goes it alone and lifts a lovely finish over Henderson!
    • 85' Chelsea substitution: Ryan Bertrand replaces Ashley Cole.
    • 84' GOAL!! CHELSEA 2-0 PORTSMOUTH!! Ramires makes the game safe for Chelsea! Mata chips a ball into the box and Torres nods it into the Brazilian's path and this time his header does beat Henderson!
    • 83' Nice flowing move down the left from Portsmouth but it's broken up by Romeu who does job well.
    • 82' Chelsea play the corner short and Lampard loses possession. Once again pompey have the opportunity but not the ability to mount a decent counter-attack.
    • 81' Portsmouth head clear Mata's free-kick and try to launch the break but the right pass was missing. Chelsea soon put the pressure back on and win a corner.
    • 80' Kitson is booked for a late and clumsy tackle on Bosingwa.
    • 79' Norris has a shot from distance but, unlike his last one which tested Cech, this effort is way off target. Still time for Pompey though.
    • 77' Chelsea substitution: Oriol Romeu repalces Malouda.
    • 75' Moments after his onvolvement in an incident that got Terry booked, Williams sees a yellow card for his cynical obstruction of Cole.
    • 74' Terry raises a high boot and his studs catch the chest of Williams. The Chelsea captain goes intot he book.
    • 73' Portsmouth win a corner. The delivery falls to Halfrod near the far post and the defneder heads over the bar! A good chance goes begging.
    • 72' First chance for Huseklepp to stretch his legs and run downt he wing with the ball. He makes good progress before Bosingwa tackles him at the expense of a throw.
    • 70' Portsmouth substitution: Ryan Williams makes his first FA Cup appearance as he replaces Rocha.
    • 69' Lost count of the number of times Henderson has punted the ball all the way through to Cech or vice versa. Two keepers with big boots on them.
    • 68' Luiz plays a long time down the rigth channel for Mata to chase but it's too long for him and Henderson gathers.
    • 67' Chelsea have made it past the fourth round in each of the last 13 seasons in the FA Cup, only Arsenal are on a longer such run (15 games).
    • 66' Portsmouth substitution: Erik Huseklepp replaces Hayden Mullins.
    • 65' Don't think the ball has been anywhere near Cech since that dramatic triple-stop 10 minutes ago.
    • 64' Malouda tries to pick out the onrushing Lampard with a cross but it's too close to Henderson.
    • 63' Henderson is back on his feet and play continues.
    • 62' Now Portsmouth keeper Henderson is receiving treatment on the pitch. Sadly, not in keeping with FA Cup mythology and the club's recent previous of having a threadbare squad, Pompey have a reserve keeper ont he bench if needed.
    • 60' Portsmouth unable to escape their own penalty area. Torres nods a long diagonal ball back across goal into the path of Ramires who can't guide his header past Henderson!
    • 58' The corner is headed out of the area but Chelsea maintain possession in the final third. Luiz is instrumental in keeping the attack going.
    • 57' Mata feeds Torres on the edge of the box with his back to goal. The £50m man lays it off nicely for Lampard, whose strike is deflected behind for a corner.
    • 56' With a hobble and a grimace, Terry re-enters the fray. It would take a lot to stop 'Mr Chelsea' battling for his team.
    • 55' The Chelsea captain limps off the pitch to receive more treatment.
    • 54' Terry has remained down injured after that incident. Think he may have clattered his leg against the post as he dived to block Ward's headed effort.
    • 53' So close for Pompey! First Kitson robs Luiz of the ball and feeds Futacs. His shot is saved by Cech's legs and Ward's follow-up effort is blocked on the line by Terry. The ball coems back out and Norris's strike is saved and held by Cech!
    • 52' Luiz fires in a low diagonal ball that rebounds awkwardly off Rocha. Henderson gathers the loose ball, but that was a nervy moment for Pompey.
    • 51' It will be Pompey captain Lawrence who strikes the free-kick. He bends it over the wall but it swerves wide of the near post too.
    • 50' Norris charges forward through the middle before Luiz tugs his shirt and concedes a free-kick. Lawrence might fancy a strike from here...
    • 49' Mata's second goal in four games is not without controversy. Portsmouth's players are vehemently claiming a handball by Ashley Cole in the build-up. The England left-back appeared to block Kitson's clearnace with his arm, but the intent was unclear.
    • 48' GOAL!! CHELSEA 1-0 PORTSMOUTH!! Malouda motors to the byline and pulls the ball back fromt he byline and Mata finishes from close range!
    • 46' Chelsea get the second half underway! No changes for either side at the break.
    • 45+2' Lampard hits his free-kick way over the bar, and the whistle blows for half-time.
    • 45+1' Malouda tripped on the edge of the box by Kitson. Great chance right at the end of the half.
    • 45' The fourth official indicates just the one minute of added time.
    • 44' Halford is the next Portsmouth player to go into the referee's book for hauling back Ramires.
    • 43' Lovely move involving Lampard, Malouda and Mata on the edge of the box before the England man is played in and just shrugged off the ball before he can lift it over the onrushing keeper!
    • 41' Chelsea are unbeaten in their last 16 FA Cup games since the start of 2008/09 (not including penalty shoot-outs, winning 13 and drawing three.
    • 39' The Blues fail to make much of the set piece. Pompey look good value for going into the break on terms.
    • 38' Mata's free-kick is not a good one, but Portsmouth take no chanes as Rocha heads behind for a corner.
    • 37' Lovely touch and turn by Torres and he heads for goal. Pearce brings him down and that's cynical foul. A clear booking for Pearce and a free-kick in a good position for Chelsea.
    • 35' Norris was in the Ipswich team that was thrashed 7-0 by chelsea at Stamford Bridge at this stage last season. A goal here would be at least a measure of revenge.
    • 34' Cole gives the ball away in a dangerous area and Norris pounces on it. He has options but goes it alone and hits his shot jsut wide of the near post!
    • 33' torres plays the ball sqwuare for Ramires 30 yards from goal and the Brazilian fires a shot from range that swerves away from the target.
    • 32' John Terry never skrikks an aerial challenge, but he looks as though he's got his hands full with both Kitson and Futacs today.
    • 30' Torres helps the ball across the pitch to Malouda, whose cross appears to be blocked by the arm of Mokoena. Just a throw-in for the home side.
    • 29' Excluding penalty shoot-outs, Chelsea are unbeaten at home in the FA Cup since 2003 (W17 D3).
    • 27' Lampard tries a very ambitious shot from range that Norris blocks at almost point-blank range.
    • 26' Portsmouth have scored in each of their last 12 FA Cup matches away from home.
    • 25' Chelsea launch the counter-attack and Malouda gets to the byline. He pulls the ball back and it's headed for Torres until the pass is intercepted! End-to-end stuff there.
    • 24' Lawrence makes tracks down the left and has players to aim for in the middle. The Ireland midfielder's cross is poor and easily cleared by Luiz.
    • 22' Mata checks his run down the right, comes inside past Halford and Lawrence and strikes his effort high over the bar! The Spaniard made the chance for himself well, but lacked the finish.
    • 21' Oh dear. Replays show an off-the-ball incident in which Aaron Mokoena appears to block off Torres with an arm to the face. Had the officials seen that then something would surely have been done.
    • 20' Currently 33 places seperate these two clubs in the league pyramid.
    • 19' Liam Lawrence anmd Futacs combine to earn Pompey their first corner of the match.
    • 18' Chelsea have dominated the play virtually from the off, but Kitson's chance after barely 30 seconds remains the best opportunity of the game thus far.
    • 16' Frnak Lamaprd is clipped by David Norris as he tries to control the ball. A friendly handshake comes by way of apology.
    • 14' Raul Meireles pings the ball wide to Ashley Cole. The left-back sets up Malouda for the cross, but the Frenchman shanks it into the stand.
    • 13' Play goes from right to left from Chelsea and Florent Malouda bends in a fine cross for Torres... The hheader is denied by a fine save from Stephen Henderson!
    • 12' Chelsea keeping the ball nicely in midfield. Mata is stationed out wide but still is the one pulling the strings.
    • 11' Jason Pearce makes a tackle on Torres in the area and the striker goes down... No penalty says referee Anthony Taylor! Pearce did appear to get something on the ball there.
    • 10' Mata plays Jose Bosingwa in down the right and the Portuguese manages to hang a cross into the box, only for Lampard to see the ball soar over his head.
    • 8' Meireles spots Torres in space on the edge of the box and threads a pass through the centre of the pitch. However, his ball has too much on it and Torres watches it run out of play.
    • 7' Frank Lampard spreads the ball wide to Ashley Cole. He takes possession on the left touchline and tries to slip in Florent Malouda, only to see his pass cut out.
    • 6' After that early chance Chelsea have quietened things down a bit, but now Raul Meireles sees a cross blocked before Mata follows up with a firm volley that also strikes a Pompey player.
    • 4' It certainly is good to see Villas-Boas pay due deference to the cup, though, and Juan Mata shows early intent with some nice touches. Chelsea should walk this, in theory.
    • 3' Chelsea have been under scrutiny for some rather unconvincing defensive performances this season and that shaky early moment for Luiz will have been a concern for their manager, surely.
    • 1' Inside 30 seconds Dave Kitson has a glorious chance for Portsmouth! Mark Futacs flicks on a long ball forward and the striker gets away from David Luiz to stroke a low shot across goal and wide. A big worry for Chelsea.
    • 1' KICK OFF!
    • 15.00 Here come the teams, lead out by John Terry and Liam Lawrence. We go through the obligatory handshakes.

    • 14.55 Wigan are so far the only Premier League side to fall to lower league opposition following their defeat to Swindon on Saturday. Will Chelsea follow them out at the third-round stage? It seems very unlikely. Saturday's action
    • 14.50 Chelsea have won the FA Cup on six occasions, most recently against Portsmouth in 2010 of course and three times in the past five years, while their opponents have won it twice, most recently under Harry Redknapp in 2008.
    • 14.45 Chelsea are fourth in the Premier League having had a difficult season under new manager Andre Villas-Boas, while opposite number Michael Appleton is in charge of the club currently 17th in the Championship, and seven points clear of relegation. A lot has changed since the last time these two clubs met.
    • 14.40 Some Opta stats for you to ponder: "Frank Lampard has scored the most FA Cup goals since the start of the 2005/06 season (19, six more than second-placed Scott McGleish). Chelsea have made it past the fourth round in each of the last 13 seasons in the FA Cup, only Arsenal are on a longer such run (15 games). This will be the first meeting between the sides since Chelsea’s 1-0 win in the FA Cup final in 2010."
    • 14.35 Portsmouth, facing a very strong Chelsea side, make three chances with Joel Ward and Greg Halford returning from suspension and Ricardo Rocha overcoming an injury. They replace Tal Ben Haim, formerly of the Blues, Erik Huseklepp and Joe Mattock.
    • 14.30 TEAMS: Chelsea: Cech, Bosingwa, Luiz, Terry, Cole, Ramires, Meireles, Lampard, Mata, Torres, Malouda. Subs: Turnbull, Ferreira, Hutchinson, Bertrand, Romeu, McEachran, Lukaku. /// Portsmouth; Henderson; Halford, Rocha, Pearce, Mokoena; Mullins, Norris; Lawrence, Kitson, Ward; Futacs. Subs: Ashdown, Webster, Hreidarsson, Ben Haim, Williams, Huseklepp, Benjani
    • 14.25 Just the one change for Chelsea as Florent Malouda comes in for Oriol Romeu. That means Chelsea look very strong. Full teams as soon as we get them...
    • 14.20 With Thierry Henry and Paul Scholes back in the Premier League, I am sad to report that Gianfranco Zola will not be donning his boots today. It should be a good cup tie between the sides who contested the 2010 final though.
