    • 90+5' FULL TIME. Torres's equaliser means Chelsea avoid crushing embarrassment at Brentford, and we will do battle again at Stamford Bridge.
    • 90+4' Chelsea have a penalty shout as a cross from Mata strikes the outstretched arm of Dean! That could easily have been given!
    • 90+2' A late free-kick for Brentford but Turnbull leaps at the back post to pluck it out of the air.
    • 90+1' The offside flag goes up as Torres tries to pull the ball down and control inside the box.
    • 90' We will have four added minutes at Griffin Park.
    • 89' Can Chelsea sneak a winner here? They are certainly in the hunt. Brentford soaking up pressure.
    • 87' Lampard thumps in an effort from range but Moore smothers the ball after it initially squirms out of his arms.
    • 84' A change for Brentford as Forshaw is replaced by Sam Saunders.
    • 83' GOAL! Brentford 2-2 Chelsea! Torres draws his side level! He chests the ball down to Ba, who pokes the ball back to him when falling to the ground. Torres opens up his body and tucks a finish into the far corner.
    • 82' Here is Ba now as he replaces Bertrand.
    • 81' Ba is getting ready now. Mata has a shot blocked and Bertrand then heads wide from just in front of goal! Chances coming and going for Chelsea!
    • 80' Forrester also replaced by Scott Barron.
    • 79' Chelsea make a change but Ba is still sat kicking his heels as Cesar Azpilicueta comes on for Ivanovic.
    • 79' A swing and a miss from Torres - rather embarrassing.
    • 78' Goalmouth scramble! Terry fails to connect cleanly with a header, Mata flashes a cross back across goal and Torres, finally, has a overhead kick saved by Moore. Brentford cling onto their lead.
    • 77' What a shock this would be if Brentford can hold on. Chelsea, remember, are the holders.
    • 75' "Sacked in the morning" comes the chant from the home fans. You wouldn't be surprised...
    • 74' Fair to say Ross Turnbull isn't having his best afternoon. Chelsea down staring down the barrel of a deeply humiliating result.
    • 73' GOAL! Brentford 2-1 Chelsea! Forrester tucks the ball under the arm of Turnbull and the League One side are back in front! Stunning!
    • 72' Turnbull booked after tripping the substitute. He didn't get any of the ball.
    • 72' PENALTY TO BRENTFORD! Turnbull brings down the newly arrived Adeyemi!
    • 70' Trotta is removed after his heroics, with Tom Adeyemi on in the striker's place.
    • 69' Oscar produces another couple of nice touches to retain possession but then scrapes his boot on the ball when trying to find Mata with a pass. Brentford win the ball.
    • 68' It seems bizarre Demba Ba is still sat on the bench. Given the poor surface you'd think the game suits his aerial strengths much more than Torres's failing technique.
    • 67' Hodson pumps the free-kick into the box but Turnbull deals with it easily.
    • 66' Ramires concedes a free-kick 40 yards from goal as Brentford earn further respite.
    • 65' This is better from Brentford as they mount a nice flowing attack but they run out of space when Forrester hits the byline.
    • 64' Oscar threatens again. He spins with the ball 20 yards from goal to lose his man and then sends a bobbling effort just wide of the near post. A good second half from the Brazilian.
    • 62' Brentford fans had been singing "You're getting sacked in the morning" at Rafa Benitez just before the opening goal, but it looks as though Chelsea's trophy hunt will be continuing. They are well on top now.
    • 60' Mata with another corner which is cleared behind at the near post. Mata winds up again but this time Ivanovic is penalised for a push when the ball comes in.
    • 59' Mata has a corner from the left cleared as Brentford come under ever more pressure.
    • 58' A quick word on the goal: it wasn't quite as good as his efforts against Juventus and Shakhtar, but it was another vivid demonstration of what a wonderful talent the Brazilian is.
    • 57' Mata's introduction has unsurprisingly changed the momentum of the game completely. You fancy Chelsea now.
    • 56' Now a cross arrives from the right and Mata thumps a volley at goal that Moore saves. Brentford needed to hold out for a bit longer than that really.
    • 55' GOAL! Brentford 1-1 Chelsea! Sumptuous stuff from Oscar. He controls superbly on the edge of the box, beats Tony Craig with a nice piece of skill and then finds the corner with the outside of his boot. Lovely.
    • 54' As Oscar and Mata both have crosses cleared, it is obvious that the narrative of the second half will be sustained Chelsea pressure. Brentford might have to ride their luck.
    • 53' Mata pokes a neat pass through for Oscar but while he shows off his quick feet, he allows the ball to get away from him and Brentford recover to clear.
    • 52' Mata with a free-kick from the right this time and Moore grabs the ball at the second attempt. A somewhat nervous moment for the keeper there.
    • 51' Lampard's initial delivery is cleared by Brentford and when Oscar collects the ball 25 yards from goal he sees the same fate befall his effort.
    • 50' Hodson brings down Torres 25 yards from goal, Lampard to take the set-piece...
    • 49' Logan comes in from the left and fires the ball in by Cahill blocks at the near post for Chelsea.
    • 48' The ball pops up for Ramires 30 yards from goal and he tries an ambitious effort that flies wide. Still, this is better from Chelsea.
    • 47' Chelsea straight into the action as Lampard gets a shot away from inside the box. Nothing more than a half-chance though really.
    • 46' Chelsea have brought on Juan Mata for Marin. A sensible choice.
    • 46' KICK OFF!
    • 45+2' Now Trotta tries to pull down a cross from the right before Chelsea clear. That's half-time, with Trotta's goal separating the sides. A horrendous performance from Chelsea.
    • 45+1' We will have one added minute.
    • 45' The free-kick deflects out to Forrester and he appears to come under contact when coming into the box. He stays on his feet before then being legitimately knocked to ground.
    • 44' Cahill - who is having a shocker - goes into the book for clattering into Logan with a silly challenge right on the byline. Free-kick in a good area...
    • 43' A fully deserved lead for Brentford and Lampard was the man at fault for being caught 20 yards from goal. Chelsea have been inept all over the pitch and now Benitez and his team are under severe pressure.
    • 42' GOAL! Brentford 1-0 Chelsea! Trotta with the strike and you cannot say it hasn't been coming! Forrester with a fierce effort after Lampard is caught in possession and Trotta is following up to slam the rebound home after Turnbull saves.
    • 41' Forrester gives Ivanovic no rest as he buzzes about the Chelsea right-back. He is eventually penalised for a foul though, somewhat harshly.
    • 39' Forshaw manages to find a sliver of space and gets a shot away, but he snatches at the ball and it dribbles into the arms of Turnbull.
    • 38' Now Torres throws his arms up in frustration as the ball flies away from him.
    • 37' This has been a disastrous display so far - no question about it. Benitez needs to change something.
    • 35' Ivanovic produces a cross from the right that is cleared, and Cahill's nightmare performance continues as he plays a pass straight out of play. Chelsea have been horrendous.
    • 33' Chelsea look very ill at ease at the moment. They are being muscled off the ball all too easily and are making simple mistakes. Not a good half.
    • 32' Cahill now guilty of a terrible pass that is cut out by Forrester. He takes the ball on and tries to feed Trotta to the left, but the striker has strayed a couple of yards offside.
    • 31' And again Chelsea come under pressure as Forrester drills one wide from 20 yards. Brentford all over them at the moment.
    • 30' Lovely from Brentford again. Logan cuts in from the left and finds Adam Forshaw with a square pass. He tries to bend one in at the near post and fires a metre wide. Good attempt.
    • 29' It has been a while now since Chelsea looked remotely threatening.
    • 28' Credit to Brentford, they have been energetic and positive in their play, causing Chelsea problems as a result. The Premier League side will have to work hard for this.
    • 26' Here come Brentford again as Forrester slides in to tackle Marin, cuts inside another man and then slices a shot wide of the far post. Encouraging from the home side.
    • 25' Clayton Donaldson kicks the ball 20 yards and manages to beat Ramires in a straight dash. However, when he cuts back onto his right the midfielder sticks out a leg to tackle.
    • 23' Lovely footwork from Trotta on the left wing as he moves the ball quickly and then pokes a pass down the line for Forrester. However, the ball runs away from the winger.
    • 22' Lampard looks to have a sight of goal 20 yards out but instead tries to switch the ball square with an early pass. It gets cut out though.
    • 21' Oscar is beginning to drop deep to influence things but when he feeds in Ivanovic with a clever little pass, Brentford stand firm to keep Chelsea out.
    • 20' Bertrand is involved in another race but fails to keep the ball out and then kicks it in frustration.
    • 19' Ryan Bertrand runs onto a pass through the middle of the home defence but can't catch up with the ball as Simon Moore comes off his line to collect.
    • 17' Forrester takes the set-piece but can't beat the first man with his delivery. Disappointing - they need to make the most of chances like that today.
    • 16' More pressure from Brentford and now they win a corner...
    • 15' A bit of excitement there for Brentford, and it's certainly energised the home crowd at Griffin Park.
    • 14' Terry was at fault really as he looked away when playing the ball back and put his pass too far to the side of Turnbull, who had to grab it with his hands to prevent it sneaking past him.
    • 13' The ball is rolled square to Harry Forrester and as the Chelsea defence charge out to block, he lashes his effort over the bar.
    • 12' Terry passes back to Turnbull but to his side and the keeper is forced to pick it up. Indirect free kick for Brentford 16 yards out...
    • 10' Shaleum Logan - formerly of Manchester City - comes across quickly to put in a sliding tackle for Brentford and prevents Ivanovic from crossing. Brentford break and Trotta gets to the edge of the box before slicing a shot high and wide.
    • 9' Oscar spreads the ball wide to the right but it is returned to him in a central position and he loses his footing as Brentford try to break.
    • 8' Nice work from Marcello Trotta as he puts Ross Turnbull under pressure when closing down the keeper. Turnbull rushes his clearance as a result.
    • 7' Lee Hodson looks alert to put in a tackle on Fernando Torres in the left channel. The Spaniard was lurking with intent.
    • 6' Brentford struggling to get a sniff of the ball so far, as you would expect really.
    • 5' Chelsea carve out their first chance of the game as Marko Marin comes inside from the right and slips a pass to Oscar, who snatches at his effort from 20 yards and sees the ball dribble wide.
    • 3' Chelsea look rather uncomfortable on this poor surface but Ashley Cole gets in behind the defence to fire a firm cross right across the face of goal. Torres is too late to meet it at the back post.
    • 2' The pitch looks in an atrocious state; sand everywhere. Branislav Ivanovic launches a big throw into the box but Torres fails to connect with an attempted flick-on.
    • 1' KICK OFF! The sun is low in the sky, casting shadows across the Griffin Park pitch. Chelsea kicking left to right in their home blue.
    • 11:55 This weekend has been a good one for romance of the cup aficionados, but no one is really expecting a shock here. Chelsea should breeze through this one. Here come the teams...

    • 11:45 It is reported this week that Rafa Benitez has been making his case to Roman Abramovich for a longer contract but he has failed to win over Chelsea fans at all. He explained on Friday that the Chelsea squad - assembled for hundreds of millions - did not have enough depth. Try telling that to Brentford. Benitez: Chelsea squad not strong enough
    • 11:40 The last meeting between these two sides was an FA Cup third-round tie in January 1950, which Chelsea won 1-0. The current holders of the trophy have not lost in the FA Cup for 24 games now, and this competition represents their best hope of a trophy under Rafa Benitez this season.
    • 11:35 Brentford are having a fine season under Uwe Rosler and currently sit third in the League One table with a realistic chance of making an automatic promotion spot. They are 44 places below their London counterparts in the league ladder and are targeting a place in the last 16 for the first time in seven years.
    • 11:30 You may have read that Eden Hazard is suspended for this game after kicking a Swansea ball boy in a Capital One Cup fixture in midweek. That incident has predictably dominated the build-up, with the Belgian facing an additional FA charge as the governing body seeks to extend his three-game ban. No doubt today's ball boys will be on their best behaviour.

    • 11:15 Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the FA Cup tie between Brentford and Chelsea at Griffin Park. MK Dons, Millwall and, most famously, Luton have all claimed Premier League scalps in the forth round - will we see another fall today?

  4. SUPERMAN Well done , my home team Brentford , since the 80/90's it has been refreshing to see a team capable of reaching a very good standard, and with a good manager it is possible for them to move up a league? CHELSEA my son's favourite team , you stand in the way to our progress in the FACup so don't expect an easy passage ?

From Stanislaw, on Sun 27 Jan 20:34
  5. Why would Jose want to go back to Chelsea for !!!!! Unless he wants to be treated like s##t from Ambrovich!!!Even if he said he would'nt interfere he has the money to break any contract. I've said it before why the hell he did'nt give the job to JT as player manager until the end of the season!!!! Then he would know if JT would make a half decent manager or not.

From PAUL L, on Sun 27 Jan 19:36
  6. Benitez is too confident putting out there second team to match the league 1 side.

From NotSoEnjoyable, on Sun 27 Jan 18:36
  7. Whatever ajit (comment #233), you should've thrashed us today!? 1.7M vs 500K (circa) and you only scraped a draw!? You armchair supporters have alot to learn about about the beautiful game!!! ;O)

  8. lmao @ chelsea fans blaming this that and the other and looking for excuses, just like the players and benitez it must be a cultural thing at the bridge. Sounded like Brentford out played you to me, cmon you Bees.

  10. Chelsea is wasting money and time, we are going to end the season empty-handed and again a new manager should be tried. Our path is vague; hopes pale and prospects dim.

  11. Looks like player power (Toys out of pram) We don't like the Manager so if we keep playing like a pub team, he'll get the sack.

  13. Chelsea Your #$%$!!! and this comment comes from a Chelsea season ticket holder, No more Roman either sell the half hearted losers you call the first team squad reduce the other halfs pay by 75% then get rid of Rafa Benitez and bring back Mouriniho, who WILL build a winning

From Steve, on Sun 27 Jan 14:44
  14. Well done Brentford. Now Chelsea fans should see why they shouldn't laugh at Arsenal's defeat away to Bradford. You only just scraped a draw and hardly outplayed Brentford with your world class squad. No PL team should think they have the right to beat a lower league team. Upsets can happen.

  15. Was it this Brentford or Bradford that defeated Arsenal in the league cup?

  18. Show Rafa the door, he is an absolute **** he does'nt understand Chelsea or the way in which we as supporters feel, I remember days in the seventy's when you might expect this, but hey that was then and this is now - I'm not saying we should win everything but when your last roll of the dice is the FA cup you need to roll the dice and get straight six's - The pressure is on and the only bet your gonna win is that Rafa will be gone by the end of Feb. What is needed at Chelsea is a close the the door jobbie and ask the players what the #$%$ going on get your act together or go !!!! If they were on performance related pay then they would owe the club, in the real world they would be sacked. If there is such a thing as reincarnation then I'm coming back as a Chelsea player Max Pay whilst doing nout !!!
