    • 88' Danns just can't find Vaughan at the far post as Joel dives to gather. Beausejour had given the ball away giving Wigan a chance to attack.
    • 87' Chants of 'Que Sera Sera, We're going to Wembley' from the Wigan fans. Looks like they will be one game away with the semis at Wembley this year.
    • 86' Great tackle from Woods in the box but then Huddersfield give the ball straight back.

    • 82' Wigan with a quick break – good overlap by Beausejour and Smithies then has to dive and push away his cross.
    • 81' Huddersfield getting lots of balls into the box but where was this belief in the first half?
    • 80' Jack Hunt's cross hits the head of Golobart – quick break from Huddersfield after a great ball by Novak but just did not quite fall for Town as they would have wished.
    • 79' Gerrard slides in with a perfectly timed tackle inside the box to nick the ball from Kone.
    • 78' Good defending from Figueroa to outmuscle Lee Novak who was let down by his control. Joel then gathers, the home fans want a back-pass call but that would have been harsh.
    • 77' Stam plays with his sock before taking a throw – much to the displeasure of the home fans.
    • 76' Huddersfield trying to get balls forward quickly but they are running out of time.
    • 74' Beausejour comes on for Gomez.
    • 73' Kone leads a counter attack for Wigan but he lacks support.
    • 72' Scharner with a very important block as Clayton looked to put a ball in behind the defence.
    • 71' Jack Hunt with a superb cross into the box….Vaughan gets a head on it but it goes wide. Another little warning sign for Wigan.
    • 70' McManaman has been so good going forward but he's also just chased back to help break up an attack.
    • 69' McArthur back on now and it looks like he is okay.
    • 67' Danns elbow goes into the face of McArthur and he will need some treatment.
    • 65' Oliver Norwood comes on for Scannell as Huddersfield make their final change.
    • 64' Scannell with a mazy run past a few men before finally getting crowded out – enough to get the fans excited though – they are back into this.
    • 62' GOAL HUDDERSFIELD!!! Maybe there is still some life in this FA Cup tie. Lovely header into the corner of the next from Lee Novak after a nice ball into the box from Woods.
    • 61' Chants of 'are you watching ITV' from the Wigan fans. I suspect there might not be too many still watching if there was even many in the first place.
    • 60' Wigan just passing the ball around now – Huddersfield look completely deflated.
    • 59' Vaughan with a terrible mistimed tackle on Fyvie. He apologises straight away but he gets booked.
    • 58' That has taken any remain fizz out of this Cup tie. Does not look like there will be any shock today.
    • 57' Wigan make a change. Maloney on for Espinoza.
    • 56' LOVELY GOAL FOR WIGAN!!! James McArthur has put the tie out of reach. McArthur plays a one-two with Gomez and then fires a superb shot into the top corner from the edge of the box.
    • 55' Figueroa smashes a shot into the side-netting. McManaman had again been the initial fulcrum of the attack.
    • 54' Scharner with a risky header back to Joel which Lee Novak nearly got in and nicked. Just about had enough on it though.
    • 53' Huddersfield are playing a lot better in this half but they need a goal.
    • 52' Nice turn by Danes down the right but his ball over the top can't find a blue and white shirt
    • 51' Wigan burst forward with Kone feeding McManaman – the winger's cross is headed away but Huddersfield still have no answers for McManaman.
    • 49' HUDDERSFIELD GIFTED A CHANCE – Stam with an ill-advised pass that goes straight to Vaughan. He tries a first-time shot and young Spanish keeper Joel Robles has to make a good save.
    • 48' Clayton takes the corner – it is flicked on and almost drops for Danns but Gomez takes it out and then Danns fouls him.
    • 47' Hunt wins a corner down the right and that has given the crowd a bit of encouragement.
    • 46' And we are back underway.
    • 46' Huddersfield bring on James Vaughan and Lee Novak as Lee and Atkinson go off.
    • HT And there is the half-time whistle. Wigan lead 2-0 and they deserve that lead to be fair.
    • 45' We will have one extra minute.
    • 44' Scannell is nearly found at the back post but the ball just overruns past him.
    • 43' Huddersfield are struggling in the Championship and you can see why on this evidence – they have struggled to get into it.
    • 41' Smithies has to kick out for throw under pressure from Gomez.
    • 39' GOAL WIGAN!!! They have a second. Another slick break from Wigan. McArthur played McManaman down the left again – he ran into the box and cut back for Gomez. The Spaniard shot at goal and Huddersfield initially managed to block with three men on the line but then Kone put it in with a cheeky little backheel.
    • 38' Midfield the big problem for Huddersfield – they are struggling to both get and keep possession there.
    • 37' Espinoza now moves forward and shoots over the bar. Wigan remain on the front foot.
    • 36' Huddersfield clear the danger but they are struggling to make an impact in this match. Wigan edging them out in terms of quality.
    • 35' Gomez pushed down the right – chance for Wigan to whip in a free-kick.
    • 34' Jordi Gomez nearly cuts Huddersfield open with a clever pass but it is cut out by the Huddersfield.
    • 32' Not a huge support here from Wigan but they are certainly enjoying themselves here.
    • 30' GOAL FOR WIGAN!!!! Callum McManaman has put them in front. Great ball from James McArthur put him away. He ran unchallenged into the box, cut onto his left foot and with the help of a deflection fired it into the net. Good goal.
    • 29' Scharner now has a powerful run up the middle only to then give the ball away.
    • 28' Scharner tries a dinked pass inside his own half but makes a mess of it and it goes out for a throw. The pitch might have played a part in that.
    • 27' Espinoza tries an outswinging corner but Huddersfield are able to clear the danger.
    • 27' Lee gets a defensive header on it but it only goes out for a Wigan corner.
    • 26' McManaman now fouled down the left just outside the box…dangerous area.
    • 25' McManaman flashes across a dangerous low ball but there is no Wigan player there to take advantage.
    • 23' This is a rugby league pitch of course and both teams are struggling to get passes together.
    • 21' Clayton overhits the free-kick and it goes beyond everyone.
    • 20' Scannell with a good run for Huddersfield and he is then tripped by Figueroa – probably just a little too far and to the right for a shot but a chance to put it into the box.
    • 18' Not much 'magic of the Cup' hear today – plenty of empty seats at the John Smith's Stadium.
    • 16' Alan Lee attacks a cross into the box well but his header goes well over the bar. Better from the hosts though.
    • 14' Fyvie now tries a long range effort but it goes well over and well wide of the target.
    • 12' Wigan appeal for a penalty as Fraser Fyvie hits a ball off Woods but it seemed to hit his chest.
    • 10' Initial quick pace has slowed down a little - bit of nerves among the Huddersfield players maybe?
    • 8' The only previous meeting between the two teams in the FA Cup was back 1977. Huddersfield won 2-0 at home.
    • 7' Straight up the other end and Danns gets his head to the ball after it's looped in from the left - well over the bar, though.
    • 6' Another half-chance for Wigan as Gomez gets on the end of a McManaman cross, but it's well over the bar.
    • 5' Kone gets up the pitch and tries Wigan's first shot, but it's blocked by a defender's legs.
    • 4' Golobart tries to finds Kone with a long ball but misses out.
    • 3' Bright start for Huddersfield, up for this against a second-string Wigan side.
    • 2' Half-chance falls to Clayton, who volleys goalwards from outside the box as Wigan struggle to clear - but it's well wide.
    • 1' The match kicks off!
    • 15:55 Chilly, sunny day in Yorkshire - low sun peeping over the edge of the stadium.
    • 15:50 Bookies make Wigan very slight favourites at evens.
    • 15:45 Having said that, if any team knows how to drop out of the FA Cup nice and early it's Wigan. This is their first visit to the fifth round of the Cup since 1987.
    • 15:40 Huddersfield have lost 11 of their last 15 FA Cup matches against top flight opposition (W1 D3). The victory (over Birmingham City) came in their last home match against Premier League opposition.
    • 15:35 Wigan are more or less fielding a reserve side today - a strange decision considering that they are not playing midweek. It's one thing focusing on the league to try and stave off relegation, but really - these are footballers, not porcelain dolls.
    • 15:30 TEAMS: Huddersfield - Smithies, Woods, Gerrard, P. Clarke, Hunt, Arfield, Clayton, Atkinson, Scannell, Danns, Lee. Subs: Bennett, Dixon, Norwood, Novak, Gobern, Vaughan, Lynch. //// Wigan - Robles; Stam, Golobart, Scharner, Figueroa; McArthur, Fyvie; Espinoza, McManaman, Gomez; Kone. Subs: Al Habsi, Boyce, Beausejour, McCarthy, Maloney, Di Santo, Henriquez.

  7. I know it is a cliche but Huddersfield can now concentrate on the league and staying in the Championship.....On being promoted Town sold their best player having been told by the club's owners they were in a position where they did not need to sell and Jordan Rhodes will be tough to replace but Mark Robins is a top manager and if Huddersfied give him a chance they can be positive about the future
