    Time:90'

    • Fulham
    • FT And there is the final whistle – United have the win and it was really, REALLY easy.
    • 90' We will have two extra minutes.
    • 89' Lots of fans heading for the exits early. Hard to blame them - this one has been over for a long time.
    • 87' Rodallega drags a decent chance wide of the target. 4-2 would be a silly scoreline really - United should have won this match by more really.
    • 85' Seen a replay of Rooney's disallowed goal and it did indeed look like Hernandez fouled Hughes.
    • 84' Berbatov runs out of space after trying a one-two with Rodallega.
    • 83' United shift the ball from right to left with ease and Rooney sweeps home but Hernandez was adjudged to have fouled Hughes in the build up. Soft enough but a small mercy for Fulham.
    • 81' Scholes catches Sidewell in possession but Aaron Hughes sweeps up well as United look to attack.
    • 80' Great control from Berbatov allows him to run forward but then he overruns it a bit and Smalling gathers his attempted through pass.
    • 78' United nearly go up the other end and score straight away but Kagawa fires over a great chance after being found inside the box.
    • 77' GOAL FULHAM!!! It has been a torrid afternoon for Aaron Hughes but he has headed home Karagounis's corner . Won't be significant in this match but United have been conceding too many goals from set-plays.
    • 76' Berbatov feeds Dejagah and he wins a corner.
    • 75' Evra bursts forward and he plays it to Hernandez who tries to curl a shot into the top corner but he skies it over. He is looking for his first ever Manchester United hat-trick.
    • 74' Just had a shot of Martin Jol – safe to say he does not look happy.
    • 73' Hard really to know how to comment on the rest of this game – it has become such a non-event of a contest. You would think United were playing a non-league side such is the gulf in class.
    • 71' Dejagah on for Ruiz for Fulham while United bring on Kagawa and Valencia for Giggs and the excellent Anderson.
    • 70' United are going to make a couple of changes and why not? This has the feel of a pre-season friendly now.
    • 68' Well if this was a boxing match the referee would have stopped by now but Fulham, and the rest of us, have over 20 more minutes of this to put up with.
    • 66' Another goal for United!!!! Embarrassing for Fulham at this stage. United are able to build without being touched – the ball is played into Hernandez into the box – he turns Hughes and gets off a shot– the ball deflects off Hughes and into the net. Harsh on Schwarzer but not Fulham who have been truly awful.
    • 65' Old Trafford dead now – the crowd know this match is over.
    • 63' Berbatov flicks up the ball and tries a volley but it is straight into the back of Jones.
    • 62' Fulham also make a change. Duff off and Rodallega on.
    • 61' Michael Carrick has earned a rest for United – he goes off and Scholes comes on.
    • 60' Fulham have played so poorly away from home this season that this outcome can hardly be considered a surprise so the question needs to be asked again why was this picked for television instead of the two ties involving non-league sides?
    • 58' Duff gets a rare Fulham shot away but curls well wide of the target.
    • 56' United remain sharper in the tackles despite being three up - a one sided match.
    • 55' These sides meet again in the league next Saturday – it will be at Craven Cottage and Fulham will certainly need to improve.
    • 54' United fans singing "Que sera sera…we're going to Wembley" – we will have to wait and see on that but they are certainly going into the fifth round.
    • 52' GOAL FOR UNITED!!! Hernandez smashes in from close range after Fulham failed to deal with crosses from Nani and then Rooney – awful, lazy defending from Fulham. Too easy for United.
    • 51' Smalling does well to cut out the danger after a low cross from Riether.
    • 50' GOAL UNITED!!! Superb goal from Wayne Rooney – Anderson sets it up with a great ball – Rooney then turns Hughes on the edge of the box before drilling home a fine low finish. Tie over you feel.
    • 48' So chances at both ends to start the second half. Let's hope it is the sign of better things to come
    • 47' OFF THE LINE FROM HUGHES – Anderson played the ball across to Rooney and it looked like a certain goal but the Northern Irishman blocked on the line.
    • 46' A Fulham cross flicks off the back of Carrick's boot and falls to Berbatov on the edge of the area but his shot is blocked by the head of Evra.
    • 46' Back underway and Karagounis is on for Baird.
    • HT Fulham have a corner to end the half and Smalling seemed to bundle into Sidwell but nothing given and that's the end of a rather uninspiring first half.
    • 45+1 We will have one extra minute.
    • 45' Riise and Rafael's legs tangle outside the Fulham box and a Fulham free is given – could have gone the other way.
    • 44' Nani skips into the box and curls in a dangerous low cross but there is no red shirt there.
    • 43' Again Riise is there as Nani's poor cross hits off him. United should be out of sight by now but they are a bit too lethargic.
    • 42' Riise blocks two successive crosses with his back as United continue to attack with relative ease.
    • 41' Nani sees a shot blocked after United are allowed to attack because of an awful misplaced ball by Ruiz.
    • 40' Smalling does well to nick the ball from Berbatov on the edge of the United area.
    • 39' Sidwell goes in and challenges Giggs as he looked to shoot from the edge of the area. United wanted a free-kick but it is waved away.
    • 38' Pretty lazy defending from United allows Ruiz to get a shot away but it is blocked at close range and De Gea can then stroll out and gather.
    • 36' Anderson – who has impressed – sets up another United attack but Rooney miscontrols his pass and Fulham clear.
    • 35' Hangeland clears on the edge of the box as Hernandez's first touch is just a little too heavy.
    • 34' Some nice build up play by United by Rooney's ball is intercepted by Riise – Baird then gives it away straight away but United can't take advantage.
    • 32' Fulham finally have an attempt on goal as Sascha Riether tries a low shot from distance but it just goes wide of the target.
    • 31' ANOTHER GOOD SAVE FROM SCHWARZER….Fulham back off Anderson – he plays it to Giggs down the left who puts in a low cross – Rooney is there but Schwarzer blocks his shot from point-blank range.
    • 29' Fulham finally attack with a bit of purpose but Kacaniklic just strays offside – might have been level.
    • 27' There are about 70,000 inside Old Trafford today but you can hear shouting from players on the pitch. There was some criticism that this game was picked for television ahead of the clashes involving non-league sides and it really has not been much of a contest so far.
    • 26' Now Rooney tries a shot from distance that's saved by Schwarzer. Again too straight but United just peppering the Fulham goal. Too easy.
    • 25' Nani turns Riise well inside the box but he curls a shot wide of the target. Both Rooney and Hernadez were looking for a pass.
    • 24' Nani gets good pop on a shot from the edge of the D from a standing position straight at Schwarzer though.
    • 23' Fulham having plenty of the ball but there is a lack of urgency in their play. That goes for their defending too which has been very lethargic. United in cruise control.
    • 21' GREAT SAVE SCHWARZER! Anderson slipped in Nani who fired across a good ball. Rooney did well to control it but his finish should have been better – still a great save by Schwarzer.
    • 20' UNITED SHOULD HAVE ANOTHER PENALTY! And again it was for handball as Giggs' looped ball hits the arm of Duff.
    • 19' Very good work from Anderson who tidies things up in defensively before starting a counter attack.
    • 18' Evra wins a corner for United off Riether. Rooney's cross goes all the way to the other corner flag and Jones' cross back in goes wide.
    • 16' Fulham have actually had more possession – 54 per cent so far.
    • 15' Riise fails to clear and Nani can run in from the right but he fires a poor shot towards the near post that Schwarzer saves. A cross might have been a better option.
    • 14' Fulham keep the ball for a spell but Duff's cross cannot find anyone.
    • 13' Not much of an atmosphere inside Old Trafford – it is almost as if the home fans consider the tie over and given Fulham's away form could you blame them?
    • 12' Smalling kicks the ball out for a corner despite De Gea rushing out. United defend the corner though.
    • 11' Berbatov gets the ball and looks to slow things down. Fulham just looking to keep the ball and work from there.
    • 9' Kacaniklic picks up the ball and smartly turns inside the United box but then he overruns it and it goes out for a goal kick.
    • 8' The whirlwind start from United has calmed somewhat but Fulham left with a monumental task already. It all started when Steve Sidwell gave the ball away after less than 30 seconds.
    • 7' Riether finally puts a good ball into the box for Fulham but there are no white shirts there.
    • 6' Not sure if Fulham have got out of their own half yet – United doing all the attacking.
    • 4' Fulham look all over the place in these early stages. They also conceded a goal after only two minutes against Manchester City last weekend.
    • 2' GOAL UNITED – Giggs puts it into the left corner. Schwarzer got a hand on it but not enough dream start for United.
    • 2' PENALTY FOR UNITED AFTER JUST 72 seconds!!! Aaron Hughes adjudged to have handled the corner when going up for a header with Smalling – a clear penalty.
    • 1' Fulham nearly concede with less than a minute on clock as Rooney dribbles into the box and his effort is deflected wide.
    • 1' And United get proceedings underway.
    • 17:29 Mark Clattenburg the referee today – his first time refereeing United since that controversial match with Chelsea at Stamdford Bridge.
    • 17:25 Teams in the tunnel now – both wearing their home stripes.
    • 17:22 So Robin van Persie is given a rest and is only on the bench for United. Dimitar Berbatov starts as expected against his former club while John Arne Riise is also back for Fulham after being out of the team recently.
