    • 90+4' The final whistle goes, and England are back to winning ways! All in all as satisfactory as England could have hoped for.
    • 90+3' Milner makes a surging run down the left past two men before being scythed down by Kjaer. First and probably last booking of the match.
    • 90+2' Nice delivery from Vingaard and Cahill just gets ahead of Kjaer to concede the corner. The corner is headed away but Johnson slashes the second ball out ofr a throw. Not a vintage perofrmance from the full-back.
    • 90+1' Three minutes of added time to be played. Parker brings down Vingaard some 35 yards from goal. Vingaard will take the free-kick himself.
    • 90' Denmark substitution: Martin Vingaard repalces William Kvist.
    • 88' Downing hares down the right wing and suares the ball across for Bent. The pass is intercepted but Young can pounce and strike... deflected off a defender and Denmark can clear.
    • 87' Parker is certainly putting himself about in midfield as England try to see this game out.
    • 85' All the play is in the England half now. The travelling fans are busy going through their array of songs and chants, but that will all change if their team leaks a late equaliser.
    • 83' Eriksen swings in another dangerous set piece, but the ball ends up sailing over the bar. England in danger of being caught napping.
    • 82' Gareth Barry puts on the armband removed by Cole for the final 10 minutes or so.
    • 81' England substitution: Leighton Baines replaces Cole.
    • 81' Eriksen takes his turn to have a shot from range but gets underneatht he ball and fires his effort into the England fans behind Hart's goal.
    • 80' Denmark come forward and Rommedahl has a tame pop from distance that doesn't trouble Hart.
    • 78' Downing bends his cross around Poulsen but it's not placed for Bent to reach it.
    • 76' Bent and Young link up on the edge of the box but Kjaer is there to intercept. The only noise being made now is by the England fans.
    • 74' More keep-ball from England as they look to sap the momentum from the game. Eriksen has had a much quieter second half.
    • 72' The question seems to be now whether or not this much-changed England team can hold on for another 20 minutes or so. This could be where Capello learns the most about the players he has on the field.
    • 71' Denmark substitution: Morten Gamst Pedersen replaces Krohn-Dehli.
    • 70' Ashley Young's first international goal could well get England back to winning ways.
    • 69' GOAL!! Downing involved instantly as he combines with Johnson. The right-back surges down the right and squares for Ashley Young to guide a neat low finish past Sorensen!
    • 69' England substitution: Stewart Downing comes on for Walcott.
    • 67' Young drives forward and earns the right to strike from range, and he fires wide.
    • 64' Eriksen gets into the Engladn box and backheels into the path of Rommedahl... sidefooted low by the former Charlton winger, but it's an easy stop for Hart.
    • 64' Silberbauer clears the corner and Bent is caught offside when the ball comes back up to him.
    • 63' The delivery is headed out but England retain it. Young's ball is teed up for Terry by Cahill on the edge of the box... deflected behind. Corner to England.
    • 62' Johnson jinks his way forward and again he's fouled by Poulsen. Milner will send in the dead ball from deep.
    • 60' England substitution: Gary Cahill replaces Dawson.
    • 59' Denmark substitution: Michael Silberbauer replaces Jacobsen.
    • 58' Sornesen punches the corner well clear and the break is on! Krohn-Dehli gets down the right but he's stopped by a quality and necessary tackle from Parker.
    • 57' Eriksen makes Johnson look silly as he beats him down the left wing. Luckily for Johnson, the cross is hacked clear by Dawson. At the other end Milner wins a corner off Kjaer.
    • 56' Milner plays the ball into Bent's path in the box with a great reverse pass and the striker fires just wide of the far post! Much better from England since the break.
    • 55' Poulsen fouls his Liverpool team-mate Johnson as the pair tussle for the ball.
    • 54' Milner sprays a 50-yard diagonal ball for Walcott to chase, but it's just too far ahead of the Arsenal winger and it's a goal kick to Denmark.
    • 52' Parker wins the ball off Poulsen and here come England again. Milner pings in a cross for Young to glance a header on target, but it's a easy stop for Sorensen.
    • 51' Ashley Young chips the ball in towards Bent at the far post and Sorensen has to block Bent's header at full stretch! Good chance.
    • 50' Denmark play around the edge of the box before Bendtner lifts a weighted ball over the top for Rommedahl to chase, but Milner tracked his man well and heads back to Hart.
    • 49' Cole and Milner play it down the left for Bent to chase, but Jacobsen gets in front of the Aston Villa striker.
    • 47' Following Lampard's withdrawal, Ashley Cole is wearing the captain's armband.
    • 46' The second half is underway!
    • HT Denmark substitutions: Simon Kjaer and Daniel Wass replace Simon Poulsen and Mathias Jorgensen.
    • HT England substitutions: Ashley Young, Scott Parker and Gareth Barry replace Wilshere, Rooney and Lampard.
    • 45+2' The whistle goes for half-time, and that's the last we'll see of a quite a few players for the evening.
    • 45+1' Eriksen fires in a wonderfully curling ball from deep on the right and Agger leaps but can't get his head to it. Eriksen, who like Wilshere is 19, has been by far the most impressive player on the pitch.
    • 45+1' Just the one minute of added time signalled by the fourth official.
    • 45' Rooney dinks a little ball into the box but Wilshere and Cole both run for it and hesitate, allowing Jorgensen to shepherd the ball out for a goal kick.
    • 44' Lars Jacobsen sends a throw-in inside the Engaldn half all the way back to Sorensen via Poulsen. Sums up how the spark has gone out of the game in the run-up to half-time. Sure some changes will freshen things up though.
    • 42' Wilshere is harshly penalised by the referee for bringing down Kvist when it was in fact a good tackle.
    • 41' Walcott sends in a low ball and Lampard coolly beats Sorensen with a backheel flick! Sadly for the new england skipper, he was offside!
    • 39' England clear the Denmark corner at the expense of a throw. Agger's flat hurl into the box is cleared more fully.
    • 38' Eriksen gets in behind Wilshere and feeds Rommedahl on the right. The winger cuts in and fires from a tight angle... Hart tips it round the far post!
    • 37' A lot of the sting has gone out of this game. Save for Eriksen hitting the post, it's gone a bit flat. The low attendance in the crowd isn't helping matters.
    • 36' England doing a good job of holding Denmark in their half but without threatening too much for the time being.
    • 34' Bendtner holds the ball up with his back to goal. He feeds Eriksen who strikes from the edge of the box and rattles Joe Hart's post! Krohn-Delhi on the follow-up... fires the rebound into the crowd! A let-off for England there!
    • 32' Lampard picks out Rooney with a reverse pass. Rooney head sforward and picks out Milner wide, but the move breaks down.
    • 30' Wilshere slides in to tackle Agger. The Dane manages to escape him and Wilshere takes a moment to get back to his feet. Arsene Wenger will not happy when he sees that.
    • 29' Johnson gets down the right and swings in a good ball for Bent try and meet with a header, but he mistimes his effort.
    • 28' Terry is left a long way upfield, but his pressure helps pen Denmark in and Lampard puts in a good tackle on Poulsen.
    • 27' Bendtner and Eriksen shift the ball out to Krohn-Delhi on the left, but the Brondby man's delivery into the box is poor. Goal kick to England.
    • 26' Milner spies Walcott's run and puts a slide-rule pass into his path, but Jorgensen just manages to get enough on the ball to stop his progress.
    • 25' England take their turn to play keep-ball. Wilshere helps thigns to keep ticking over, ensuring the ball is always moving.
    • 24' Nice bit of possession from Denmark, but england force them all the way back to Sorensen.
    • 23' Wilshere gest forward and links up with Bent, but they lose the ball. The youngster is not afraid to roam despite his sitting brief.
    • 22' Bent trips Agger as he chases the defneder's run out of defence with the ball.
    • 21' The crowd is disappointingly low at the Parken stadium, and there is little in the way of atmosphere. Whether or not that is an indictment of the hosts' lacklustre World Cup campaign is hard to know.
    • 20' Good patient build-up from England. The ball is with Milner on the right and he fires in another low ball across the six-yard box and this time Bent swings and misses! A great chance to take the lead against the run of play.
    • 19' This time England do clear fully and make tentative progress into the Denmark half.
    • 18' This time the set piece is cleared, but Denmark retain the ball in the England half. Krohn-Delhi's ball down the channel is for Rommedahl, and Cole has to be quick to tackle him at the expense of another corner.
    • 17' Eriksen twists and turns on the edge of the box and Dawson deflects the shot behind for another corner. Plenty of Danish pressure so far. Bent's header out is an uncertain one, and Rommedahl's follow-up shot wins another corner.
    • 16' Poulsen fires in a cross fromt he left and Terry gets a big head to it for a Denmark throw.
    • 15' Rommedahl plays the give and go with Bendtner, but the Arsenal striker's return ball is too heavy and out for a goal kick.
    • 14' Remember, we also have live coverage of Germany v Italy, Northern Ireland v Scotland, Argentina v Portugal and Spain v Colombia this evening, as well as scoring from every single other international friendly. International friendlies: LIVE
    • 13' Hart punches clear this time, Walcott and Milner insitgate the break, but the move fizzles out in the final third.
    • 12' Walcott took a knock as he sent that ball across. He's now receiving treatment to his eye off the field. Johnson gives the ball away again and Bendtner finds Rommedahl out wide. The low ball across is hacked away by Wilshere, before Jacobsen wins a corner off Milner. Hart tips it away for another corner from the other side.
    • 11' That's Bent's second England goal in eight appearances. Or two in his last two, if you like.
    • 10' GOAL!! Rooney pings the ball out to Walcott who muscles his way past Poulsen and squares the ball across the six-yard box for Bent to tap in!
    • 8' Liverpooll defender Agger took advantage of some slack marking to put Denmark in front. england have now conceded five goals in their last 48 minutes of action against the Danes!
    • 7' GOAL!! Eriksen wins Denmark's first corner. He takes it himself. Terry heads it clear but it's soon pinged back out to Eriksen. This time he gets in a lovely cross and Daniel Agger beats Joe Hart with a lovely diving header!
    • 6' Great one-two between Cole and Milner and the left-back's cross is overhit. Walcott chases it down and wins a corner, which the hosts deal with fairly comfortably.
    • 5' Darren Bent reacts quickly to a poor backpass from Kvist and Sorensen has to be quick of his line to block. Rooney picks up the loose ball but he doesn't shoot first time, allowing two Danish defenders to get back on the line and block the shot.
    • 4' Johnson is caught in possession and Bendtner has a chance! He tries to lose the two centre-backs with a couple of stepovers, but his eventual shot is ay off target.
    • 3' Christian Eriksen surges forward and slips the ball through for Nicklas Bendtner to strike... saved at the near post by Hart, but Bendtner was offside. Nice little warm-up for both players. Ajax midfielder Eriksen is one to watch.
    • 2' England keep the ball in their own half. Wilshere gets a couple of early touches in his slightly unfamiliar deeper midfield role.
    • 1' Denmark kick off and we're underway!
    • 19:18 Two rousing rendetions of the respective anthems. The Danish one is quite good in a stirring sort of way. We'll be underway in moments...
    • 19:15 DENMARK: Sorensen, C, Poulsen, Jorgensen, Agger, S, Poulsen, Jacobsen, Kvist, Eriksen, Krohn-Delhi, Rommedahl, Bendtner. Subs: Lindegaard, Wass, Kjaer, Silberbauer, Schone, Vingaard, Junker, Lorentzen, Enevoldsen, Pedersen /// ENGLAND: Hart, Johnson, Dawson, Terry, A, Cole, Lampard, Wilshere, Walcott, Rooney, Milner, Bent. Subs: Green, Walker, Cahill, Lescott, Baines, Downing, Parker, Barry, Young, Defoe, C, Cole, Stockdale
    • 19:13 The players are walking out on to the pitch now. The roof is on at the Parken stadium and the conditions are pleasant, much as they will be at the Millenium Stadium next month for the Euro 2012 qualifier against Wales. Expect a lot more noise in the Welsh capital, of course.
    • 19:10 England's record v Denmark is pretty rosy: played 17, won 10, lost 3. However, the last time they met, on the same ground in a friendly in 2005, they lost 4-1 with a very strong side that included four players in tonight's team: Cole, Terry, Lampard and Rooney.
    • 19:05 However, Early Doors sees it differently, and has drawn up a list of five reasons why tonight's match is worth a watch - with one of them calling Denmark "the Brazil of Europe". Why Denmark-England will be great
    • 19:05 Jim White has been characteristically scathing of international friendlies in his latest blog: "If you want to know quite how high international football stands in modern footballing priorities, then look at the experience of Nemanja Vidic. The Manchester United captain was due to play for Serbia against Israel tonight. But United pulled him out. They didn't even bother to invent some fictitious injury for him as an excuse for facilitating his withdrawal." Read Jim's blog
    • 19:00 It's also a big night for Ashley Cole who, on his 87th international appearance, surpasses Kenny Samson's record as England's most-capped full-back. The Chelsea defender was recently voted England's best player of 2010 ahead of... erm... well, he won anyway. Lampard: "Ashley gets a bad rep sometimes, but knowing the lad as I do I know that a lot of the criticism levelled at him is not justified. He's one of the greatest left-backs ever, and everyone has huge respect for what he has achieved."
    • 18:55 Another youngster in the squad is Kyle Walker, who is currently on loan at Aston Villa from Tottenham, has received a call-up for the first time. The 20-year-old right-back also scored his first ever league goal at the weekend, so not a bad few days for him.
    • 18:55 But all the focus this evening will be on young Jack Wilshere. The 19-year-old has become a mainstay in the Arsenal midfield this season, and has steadily improved through each of his 31 games for the Gunners this term. Capello has compared his rapid progress at such a young age to the likes of Paolo Maldini, Franco Baresi and Raul. No pressure then son!
    • 18:50 Capello has been hit by plenty of withdrawals, with Steven Gerrard, Rio Ferdinand, Ben Foster and Gabriel Agbonlahor all pulling out for various reasons. Ferdinand and Gerrard's absence means Frank Lampard will captain his country for the first time on his 84th appearance. "Playing for England is the very highest honour and that has never changed for me: I am immensely proud to have been handed the armband. To represent your country is a very special experience, and that desire has never waned."
    • 18:45 This match had originally been slated to pit England against old adversaries Argentina, but the Albiceleste had to pull out when the match was originally slated to be played on a Tuesday and arranged tonight's game against Portugal instead. Still, Morten Olsen's team, ranked 28th in the world and going along nicely in their Euro 2012 qualifying group, will still be a test for Fabio Capello's boys. Denmark's Euro 2012 qualifying group

    • 18:35 Waiting for full team news for both sides, but here is England's starting XI this evening: Hart; Johnson, Cole, Terry, Dawson; Lampard, Wilshere, Walcott, Milner; Rooney; Bent. Only James Milner and Theo Walcott survive from the team that started against France last November.
    • 18:30 Welcome to Eurosport-Yahoo!'s live coverage of the international friendly between Denmark and England at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen!
