    • FULL TIME: Netherlands 0-0 Germany. Thanks for joining us.
    • 90+2' Germany sub: Reus off for Draxler.
    • 90+1' Reus runs onto the ball in the box and lets fly but it’s high and wide. Is that the last chance?
    • 90' The whistles have started as Germany prepare for a last substitution.
    • 89' There is still time for one of these teams to snatch a late winner but time is rapidly running out here. Germany just passing it about.
    • 88' Elia caught offside. And the linesman was right. Just.
    • 87' Some people are already flooding for the exits. They’ve had enough.
    • 86' Germany sub: Holtby off for Neustadter.
    • 85' Elia thinks he has won a corner off Howedes but the referee says otherwise. Goal kick.
    • 84' Germany sub: Muller off for Schurrle.
    • 83' A bit of head tennis and Germany just about scramble it clear. A goal will surely be decisive now in this game of few chances.
    • 82' Janmaat feeds Schaken who wins a corner off Lahm. Is now the time?
    • 81' Germany sub: Lars Bender off for Sven Bender
    • 80' Janmaat has looked very lively since coming on and he nearly broke the deadlock.
    • 78' So the best two chances have fallen to the Dutch in this match.
    • 77' Cracking shot from Elia fizzes just over the bar. Some action!
    • 76' Fantastic one two between Janmaat and Kuyt with Janmaat forcing an excellent save from Neuer!
    • 75' A quarter of an hour left in this strangely subdued match. Will we get a goal?
    • 74' Lahm streams forwand and feeds Podolski who wins a corner. Easy for Vermeer.
    • 73' Surely not too long before we see Huntelaar coming on?
    • 72' Germany substitution: Gotze off for Podolski
    • 71' Holland substitution: Van der Vaart off for Emanuelson
    • 70' And now the whistles are starting. They really want to see more action. It’s been as barren as the first half in truth.
    • 69' The crowd really haven’t got into this and it’s no real surprise. A real lack of attacking chances.
    • 68' Gotze tries to play in Holtby but his touch lets him down and it’s out for a goal kick.
    • 67' No it isn’t. Reus can only put it out for a goal kick.
    • 66' Reus wins Germany a corner. Is this the moment ...
    • 65' Muller fouled by Kuyt. Free kick Holland. All getting a bit niggly now.
    • 64' Schaken whips in a dangerous looking cross but Mertesacker heads clear. Still no good chances this half.
    • 63' Gundogan goes down under a challenge from De Jong. Would have been a yellow in a competitive game.
    • 61' Muller tumbles over and wins a free kick. Didn’t look like there was much in that.
    • 60' Half an hour remaining and still that one Robben chance stands out. Not a classic between these two great footballing sides.
    • 59' Holland sub: Van Ginkel for Affelay.
    • 58' Affelay has pulled up injured and is going off. Looked like a calf.
    • 57' The game just beginning to open up a bit. Gotze penalised. Free kick Holland.
    • 56' Run and shot from Affelay but it has no power and trickles into Neuer’s arms.
    • 55' Excellent ball in from Holtby finds Reus but he just can’t get enough on his shot under pressure from van Rhijn. Great defending. Goal kick.
    • 54' Foul by Janmaat. Free kick Germany.
    • 53' Holland win a free kick. Van der Vaart whips it in and Mertesacker gets a good header clearance away for a throw.
    • 51' There has been absolutely no malice in this match at all, a far cry from fixtures past. Not even a hint of a yellow card so far.
    • 50' Good run from Elia and he wins a corner.
    • 49' Through comes De Jong from behind and concedes a clear foul.
    • 48' So Holland’s best defender and most threatening striker in the first half are off. Interesting ...
    • 47' Triple substitution for Holland at half time. Elia, Janmaat and de Vrij on for van Rhijn, Heitinga and Robben.
    • 46' Germany doing all the pressing at the start of this second half.
    • 45' We’re back underway here at the Amsterdam ArenA. Let’s hope for some fireworks in this half!
    • And that's it with hardly any added time. HALF TIME: Netherlands 0-0 Germany.
    • 45' Cross from Lahm falls to Holtby but his shot is blocked by Heitinga. Great chance at the end of the half.
    • 44' The free kick is straight at Vermeer. Wasted.
    • 43' Foul by van der Vaart. Good position for Germany.
    • 42' Some nice triangles from Germany but the Dutch pressure well and win the ball back.
    • 40' Holtby whips in a great ball for Muller. His shot is blocked and it falls to Reus, who also has his shot blocked. Some action!
    • 39' Great effort first time on the half volley, it must be said.
    • 38' The ball falls to Reus from Heitinga’s header and he smashes it just wide from outside the box. Some fans thought it was in as it bounced off the hoarding and rippled the net.
    • 37' Schaken whips in a dangerous cross but nobody there. Martins then penalised for a foul.
    • 35' Replays suggest Robben was marginally offside with that earlier chance. No flag though.
    • 34' Holtby swings it in and Hummels gets a head on it into Vermeer’s hands and it’s behind for a corner. Could have gone anywhere.
    • 33' Foul by De Jong on Holtby. Free kick.
    • 32' A couple of decent chances to either side but other than that it’s been soporific stuff here.
    • 31' It looked for all money like Robben would stick that away. We have seen it so many times. Great defending.
    • 30' Afellay plays in Robben who rounds Neuer perfectly but he doesn’t bank on Howedes who gets back excellently to block his shot. Best chance by far.
    • 28' Foul by Robben on Gundogan. Free kick Germany.
    • 27' Howedes has looked a dangerous threat down the right for Germany who are edging this at the moment.
    • 25' Great run and cross by Howedes but Holtby can’t quite convert. Another half chance in a half of few chances.
    • 24' Reus plays it in but Vermeer claims easily.
    • 23' Bender is fouled by de Jong. Free kick to Germany.
    • 22' Lahm crosses for Muller but his header is tame and Vermeer picks it up.
    • 21' Howedes finds Gotze who has two bites at the cherry before getting his shot blocked by Heitinga close to the keeper. Half chance.
    • 19' Van der Vaart finds Schaken whose cross / shot falls to Kuyt. He slips in getting a shot away and Neuer picks it up. Counts as a shot on goal though!
    • 18' A little bit more attacking spirit shown from the Dutch, first by Robben then Kuyt but still not a shot on goal.
    • 17' Van der Vaart swings it in but it’s easily headed away.
    • 16' Some action! Robben wins a free kick after a foul by Hummels.
    • 15' Well 15 minutes gone here and nothing of note to talk about. Still no attempts on goal. A solitary drum beats in the stadium.
    • 14' The blue touch paper is still being well and truly hidden from the flame. Both teams very tentative.
    • 12' Nice little flick from Holtby to set away Reus but good covering across from the Dutch.
    • 10' Tough to say who’s on top in the first ten minutes. Still very cagey stuff. Even the crowd has gone quiet.
    • 9' The ball is pumped upfield to Robben but it’s easy for Neuer.
    • 8' Gotze tries to play in Muller but it’s good defending from Holland.
    • 7' Still patient build-up play from both sides. No shots on goal as yet.
    • 6' Remember, the Dutch haven’t beaten Germany for a decade! A lot on the line tonight even if it is a ‘friendly’.
    • 5' A very inexperienced German line-up here but they have started brightly.
    • 4' Hummels plays a great ball forward to Reus but Vermeer is again alive to the danger, coming out well. Alert keeping there.
    • 3' A very measured start here. Both sides enjoying possession and feeling one another out.
    • 2' Muller caught just offside but Vermeer was there first anyway.
    • 1' Heitinga finds Affellay down the right and he wins a corner in the opening minute.
    • 1' Referee Pedro Proença‎ blows the whistle to get us underway. Always a buzzing atmosphere for this famous fixture and it’s pretty much a full house.
    • 19.28 A correction in the line-ups. The big news is that Tim Krul has been dropped in favour of Ajax keeper Kenneth Vermeer.
    • 19.25 Five minutes to kick off here. Match odds: Netherlands (6/4), Germany (17/10), Draw (12/5).
    • 19.20 Many of the Germany regulars, some sadly missing tonight, were coached by Van Gaal during his time at Bayern Munich, which ended in 2011. They include Bastian Schweinsteiger, Toni Kroos, Philipp Lahm and Thomas Muller.
    • 19.15 A total of six players from Van Gaal's squad ply their trade in the Bundesliga, including Rafael van der Vaart and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
    • 19.10 Netherlands: Vermeer, Martins, Heitinga, van Rhijn, Vlaar, Robben, Afellay, De Jong, van der Vaart, Kuyt, Schaken /// Germany: Neuer, Howedes, Hummels, Lahm, Mertesacker, Gundogan, Bender, Holtby, Gotze, Reus, Muller.
    • 19.05 Both teams come into tonight’s encounter unbeaten in their last four matches with the Netherlands having won all of their last four. Germany have won three and drawn one, their last match against Sweden being the first time in their history that they have scored four and not won, the Swedes fighting back from 4-0 down.
    • 19.00 Arjen Robben, who starts tonight, no longer believes the rivalry is as fierce as it used to be. "It's still an important and very special game. However, the hatred and aggression from before is no longer there. The relationship between Netherlands and Germany is pretty good these days. It's no longer as emotional as back in the days. I think this has something to do with Louis van Gaal's time at Bayern Munich, but players like van Bommel, van der Vaart and myself have made a good impression."
    • 18.55 You can never really classify any meeting between these two great rivals as ‘friendly’. The neighbouring countries have had a tense footballing relationship ever since World War II, and been involved in some memorable pitch battles, notably the 1974 World Cup final and the semi-final at Euro 1988 when Rudi Voller and Frank Rijkaard had a famous falling out.
    • 18.50 Louis van Gaal: "Sneijder is not in..because he has not played for six weeks. He's fit enough to train, but not to play matches. Everybody has to be fit, we're not a rehabilitation centre. It's special that you are taking on players you know like the back of your hand."
    • 18.45 Joachim Low: "Every game brings important insights. Now we will use the opportunity to give one or two players their chance. Generally, we will remain true to our offensive style, we have the players who have the skills. German virtues are now about technically good players playing attacking football."
    • 18.40 Germany are without Bastian Schweinsteiger, Toni Kroos and Jerome Boateng, Miroslav Klose, Sami Khedira and Mesut Ozil due to illness and injury. Forward Mario Gomez is also missing.
    • 18.35 Both sides are missing key players for tonight’s clash. For the Dutch, Maarten Stekelenburg's absence will mean Tim Krul starts in goal. Wesley Sneijder and Kevin Stootman are out, so Rafael van der Vaart and Nigel de Jong could start alongside 19-year-old Vitesse star Marco van Ginkel, who will be making his debut. Robin Van Persie’s thigh injury also means Klaas-Jan Huntelaar should start up front.
