    • 90+2 And that's it from the Amsterdam ArenA.
    • 90' The referee, if he has any mercy, will blow for full-time as soon as the clock hits 90.
    • 88' Van der Vaart must have laid a claim for a starting place at the Euros following this performance.
    • 86' David Healy has added some much needed composure to the visiting side's play but the hosts are in cruise control. Afellay lays-off to Van der Vaart, whose attempted chip is just pushed over the bar.
    • 84' The game has really slowed now as the Dutch take their foot off the pedal - down to walking pace at times now.
    • 82' McGinn leads a break for NI but with little on they work the ball all the way back to the keeper, who hoists long. The gulf in class here is incredible.
    • 80' Afellay has been tremendous this evening.
    • 78' Vlaar makes a near post run to head past Carroll from an Afellay corner. Poor defending; thunderous header. 6-0.
    • 76' Van der Vaart is denied by the post as his effort from just outside the box evades the grasp of Carroll. Robben then runs at his man down the left before cutting inside and seeing his shot deflected. Corner.
    • 74' Northern Ireland haven't given up hope of a consolation but McGivern's cross has too much on it and evades the leap of McGinn.
    • 72' The usual slew of subs has begun - you can follow all the changes at the bottom of the live commentary.
    • 70' Afellay again gets in behind the visiting defence but his effort is tipped around the post. for a corner. Carroll flaps at it but Vlaar drags the loose ball wide.
    • 68' Afellay, who has probably been the stand-out player thus far, beats his man and whistles the ball across the box.
    • 66' Willems is found in space down the left channel, he feeds Sneijder just inside the box, who turns and lifts the ball over Carroll but it just doesn't curl enough as it drops the wrong side of the post.
    • 64' Sustitute McGinn makes some inroads down the Dutch right but his cross is blocked.
    • 62' Northern Ireland's back four appear to be playing a higher line, which has, in turn, moved the midfield a few yards further forward. Whether by luck or judgement it appears to be negating part of the Ducth threat - not all but part.
    • 60' We have a slight hiatus as both sides have a player down injured - nothing too serious though so the game is back underway.
    • 58' McPake with a rather robust challenge on Robben as Holland look to construct another break. The Dutch start again.
    • 56' Huntelaar and Van der Vaart on for Holland.
    • 54' The visitors had made a brighter start to the second half but that is a body blow.
    • 51' Little looks to get in behind Willems but his superior pace gets him back in time to intercept and set a counter-attack. The ball comes to Robben, who finds van Persie, who in turn lays it off to Afellay. The Barca man curls the ball around the defender and past Carroll from outside the box. Great goal.
    • 50' A little slower start to the second forty-five as the visitors get to see some more of the ball.
    • 48' The hosts begin where they left off from the first half - picking their visitors off at will.
    • 46' Holland get the second half underway.
    • - Roy Carroll is coming on for the visitors.
    • 45' That's it from the first half.
    • 45' Robben stings Camp's palms from distance.
    • 45' Van Bommel breaks beyond the front players and finds himself in on goal but he hesitates for a second which allows a flailing Irish leg to block.
    • 43' Robben finds van Persie just inside the box, who takes a touch and whips an effort just past the post. It is relentless.
    • 42' Robben and Afellay have switched wings and Sneijder finds the Bayern man out on the left, he jinks this way and that before firing straight at Camp.
    • 40' Goes without saying but this is damage limitation now.
    • 38' Little wins a corner for Northern Ireland and there's some respite for the defence.
    • 36' Holland win the ball high up the pitch. Robben breaks, and finds Afellay, who fires across Camp from just inside the box. 4-0.
    • 34' Northern Ireland have a rare foray forward. The ball is slung into the box and a period of head tennis ends with Stekelenburg claiming.
    • 32' This is almost a training game for the hosts as they stroke the ball around at ease but the pace of the play speeds up dramatically as soon as a gap is spotted. This time Afellay gets in behind and flashes a ball across the box.
    • 30' The visitors clear a corner and Van Bommel stings the palms of Camp from thirty yards out with a superbly struck volley at an angle.
    • 28' Van Persie makes no mistake. 3-0.
    • 28' Ferguson is caught out by a neat van Persie ball over the top and as he looks to make amends he handles and the Dutch have a penalty.
    • 28' Sneijder exchanges passes with van Persie but he is just crowded out as he bears down on Camp.
    • 27' Northern Ireland have done well to stem the flow but they are so, so compact that they offer very little going forward. Another move ends with an errant pass.
    • 25' Robben looks to break the offside trap but he goes fractionally early.
    • 23' It is exhibition stuff here as Sneijder shows a nice sleight of foot to find Afellay, who cuts inside and attempts to bend it top corner. Just over.
    • 21' Afellay has four green shirts around him but still manages to burrow a way through and find a cross. It is cleared but Afellay has been very prominent thus far.
    • 19' There is a distinct lack of urgency from the visitors in either a defensive or attacking sense.
    • 17' This is turning into a procession.
    • 15' Sneijder bends it over the wall and into the top corner to double the Dutch lead. 2-0. This could be a very difficult evening for the visitors.
    • 13' Holland come again and Duff brings down the marauding Dutch player. Card and a free-kick in a very dangerous area. Sneijder over it.
    • 11' Sneijder plays the corner short and receives a return pass before finding van Persie at the back post. He makes no mistake with the close range header. 1-0.
    • 11' Robben looks to be away but he is hauled back - there are claims for a penalty but the referee waves them away as he points to just outside the box. The free-kick is easily cleared. Corner.
    • 10' There is literally about ten yards between the Northern Irish defence and midfield, which is making it very difficult for the hosts to find any gaps. However when the visitors do win the ball it is a little too compact to play their way out of tourble and they go long.
    • 8' Very much two banks of four fromthe visitors but Holland work the ball to Sneijder, who stings the palms of Camp from about twety-five yards.
    • 7' The Dutch are really utilising the wings as they switch between Robben and Afellay. But Northern Ireland break with Little but Willems is there to clear.
    • 5' McCann goes flying through the back of Van Bommel and the referee has no option but to bring the play back for a foul.
    • 3' The visitors look happy to sit and soak up the pressure at the moment - they look reluctant to step up and put any pressure on the ball.
    • 1' Northern Ireland get the game underway and they go straight back to Camp, who launches long.
    • - National anthems underway and we’re moments away from kick-off.
    • 18:55 Today’s referee is Robert Schorgenhofer of Austria.
