    • Norway
    • England
    • 90+4' Jarstein dives to make a comfortable stop low to his left from Downing. That should be that. And is that. Norway huffed and puffed, but it is a first win for England in Oslo since 1966. The result more impressive than the performance.
    • 90+1' Four minutes to be added to the match.
    • 89' Tettey departs to be replaced by Jenssen. This game fizzling out.
    • 88' Another debutant for England as Martin Kelly is brought on for Phil Jones.
    • 87' Walcott deemed to be offside from Johnson's pass.
    • 86' Lescott blocks the shot by Elyounoussi. Green out seconds later to swat a corner away. Hangeland wins the long throw from Riise, but straight into the hands of the England goalkeeper.
    • 85' Lescott turns away Riise's delivery. Norway looking for one last surge here to rescue a draw.
    • 84' Adam Johnson has been thrown on to take over from Downing.
    • 83' Henriksen has been replaced by Berisha for Norway.
    • 82' Norway playing the same physical style of stuff that they were under Egil Olsen back at the 1998 World Cup finals. The cast changes, but the style remains.
    • 81' A 5.15pm kick-off then for England against Belgium at Wembley next Saturday. Would imagine there will be a few more changes for that one.
    • 80' Walcott running at the home defence. Ends up passing the ball into the arms of Jarstein. All very tame.
    • 79' Norway probably deserve a draw from this match, but don't seem to have enough quality to get the goal their possession merits.
    • 78' Milner looking for Carroll with a high floated ball. Jarstein off his line quickly to take the ball.
    • 77' Ruud tries a volley from distance after Henriksen drives a ball across the face of goal. England far from convincing. Green holds Ruud's effort.
    • 76' Surprise, surprise....another long throw-in from Norway. Green off his line to collect the high ball moments after Norway snuff out a fine move involving Oxlade-Chamberlain and Walcott at the other end.
    • 75' The usual rash of changes in these matches. Huseklepp has taken over from Braaten.
    • 74' Barry is also off with a groin strain as Jordan Henderson arrives for England.
    • 73' Young is going to depart to be replaced by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who makes his debut for England.
    • 72' Downing throws in the corner as Jarstein comes off his line to punch clear. A change coming for England.
    • 71' Downing's cross is deflected behind for a corner to England. A bit of respite for England.
    • 70' Barry is on hand at the near post to clear the corner from Riise.
    • 69' Ruud's shot is blocked by Milner, and the home side earn themselves another corner.
    • 68' Walcott working back to deprive Ruud of space as Norway continue to search for this equaliser.
    • 67' Elyounoussi tries to carry the ball away from Barry. Grindheim smashes a shot over from distance moments after a dangerous Riise cross.
    • 66' A shocking pass from Barry in midfield. England asking for trouble here. Gerrard smiling at something or other on the bench. Not sure what has happened to England since the break.
    • 65' Barry gives the ball straight to Elyounoussi. Baines blocks the cross from Ruud. Baines seemed to foul Abdellaoue, but the referee awards the corner rather than the penalty.
    • 64' England could do with an injection of something here. All very laborious. England struggling to piece together one pass, never mind six or seven.
    • 63' Pedersen departs to be replaced by Grindheim as Green comes and fails to connect with a corner. Fortunately, Demidov couldn't get there either.
    • 62' Riise darts past Walcott before hammering a shot at goal. Green stands tall at his near post to make the save.
    • 61' Ruud tries to pick out Elyounoussi, but Downing is back to mop up for England, who are giving the ball away far too cheaply.
    • 60' Riise blocks the cross by Walcott. The England fans continue to encourage their side.
    • 59' Parker's ankle is wrapped in ice. England have one more friendly against Belgium next Saturday before the tournament begins.
    • 58' Jones clears a loose ball after Braaten's shot had careered into the legs of Milner. Could have gone anywhere, but England get the break. Could do with a second goal here to put this match to bed.
    • 57' Riise tries to pick out Hangeland with the long throw, but Carroll is back helping out. Norway certainly enjoying brighter times since the break.
    • 56' Parker departs to be replaced by Theo Walcott, who is sporting a swish beard as he enters the action.
    • 55' Carroll back to head clear Gamst Pedersen's corner. England being asked a few questions here. A change coming.
    • 54' Not sure how long Hodgson will wait before he makes another change. Baines makes a strong tackle on Ruud. Norway have a corner.
    • 53' Riise with the cross from his left foot. Overcooks that one by some distance. Poor delivery really. Norway wasteful in key moments.
    • 52' Riise tries to join the party. Threw his left peg at the ball, but failed to get the desired power - or any sort of venom - behind the shot from distance. Easy take for Green.
    • 51' Gamst Pedersen drills a shot wide of Green's right hand post from 25 yards. Would have expected better from that range.
    • 50' Jones sees a shot come back off a post and fly out to safety. An offside flag has gone up against Carroll. Not sure what that was all about.
    • 49' Baines places the free-kick under the wall. Was heading for the corner of the net, but Jarstein dived low to his left to make the stop.
    • 48' Young felled on the edge of the box by Demidov. Free-kick chance for England.
    • 47' Barry has been introduced for England at the break to take over from Gerrard.
    • 46' A rendition of God Save the Queen emanates from the visiting support as the second half gets off and running.
    • 45+1' There goes the whistle for the break! A 1-0 lead for England. A decent first half for Hodgson's team.
    • 44' Going to be one minute added to the half. All down to Hogli's injury as Green comes to collect a free-kick.
    • 43' Henriksen on the run for Norway, but fine defending by Jones to clear the danger.
    • 42' Gerrard rises to head clear Pedersen's corner. Whipped in at some pace, but England deal with the threat.
    • 41' The clock approaching 42 minutes as Baines blocks the cross of Ruud for a corner to the home team.
    • 40' Not the biggest stadium in the world. Holds 25,000. And not the most partisan of crowds inside the ground on a hot old evening in Norway. England trying to press Norway back.
    • 39' Ruud is wheeled on for the injured Hogli, who felt the force of that Gerrard tackle. An unfortunate injury it must be said.
    • 38' Hogli limping off for a spot of treatment. Norway down to ten men for the moment. Baines looking for Carrol before Milner's cross is charged down.
    • 37' Not sure that tackle would go unpunished during a tournament. Could be a sending off. Not sure if it worth making that type of challenge.
    • 36' Gerrard is getting a talking to from the referee after he goes through Hogli. Was a real bone shaker of a challenge, but perfectly fair.
    • 35' Abdellaoue sees a shot sneak through the legs of Jones, but it flies wide of goal..much to the relief of Green in the England goal.
    • 34' Norway earn their latest corner kick. Abdellaoue rises, but misses the loose ball. Carroll clears the danger.
    • 33' Parker doing well to blocks the Norwegian shot before Young sends Milner clear. Milner cracks a shot at goal, but Jarstein is down to make the stop.
    • 32' Henriksen's speculative effort from distance is blocked. Norway collect in the middle of the park.
    • 31' Has been a decent opening 30 minutes from England. Intelligent play and most of the night constructive passing play. Jones's first touch lets him down from Young's ball.
    • 30' Jones with the cross on the dash. Right idea, but too near the keeper as Jarstein comes off his line to collect.
    • 29' Gerrard with the delivery, but Hangeland rises to nod clear before Hogli smashes it long down the park.
    • 28' Baines on the charge for England from Downing's pass and England have a corner here.
    • 27' England trying to get the ball down on the deck to keep possession. Norway have recovered well from an unconvincing opening to this match. Carroll overhits a ball looking for Young in the middle.
    • 26' Superb cross by Downing from out wide. Drilled the ball into the box, but Jarstein comes out to palm the ball clear. Fine piece of goalkeeping.
    • 25' Baines crashes into a strong tackle on Pedersen. Wasn't hanging about there. Perfectly fair challenge.
    • 24' Fine run by Henriksen up the park. Tries to play in Elyounoussi, who just fails to connect with the pass. Norway looking dangerous in patches.
    • 23' Hodgson off his bench making a few points to his side. Norway pick up in the middle of the park.
    • 22' Andy Carroll had the best aerial duel success rate of all Premier League strikers in 2011/12 - winning 64.4% in the league. That is surely where England must focus their energies this evening.
    • 21' Good defending by Jagielka to win the ball from Abdellaoue in the box. Better from Norway after a fine run and cross from Riise.
    • 20' Norway looking very one-paced. Young seems to be almost partnering Carroll up front, but it seems to be a fluid formation.
    • 19' Green comes from his line to collect a loose ball. England looking very comfortable so far. So far, so good you might say.
    • 18' Pedersen picks out Braaten, who heads over the bar from inside the England box. No danger really.
    • 17' Elyounoussi with the delivery here, but Milner watches it like a hawk to head clear. Jagielka wallops the ball long seconds later.
    • 16' Parker back to head behind his own goal from Riise's delivery. Another corner for Norway.
    • 15' Gerrard picks out Young, whose volley is lifted over the bar from the edge of the box. Intelligent move by Gerrard.
    • 14' Norway won 3-0 in their last international outing against Northern Ireland, but lost 4-1 in Wales last year. England must fancy their chances of getting a win here.
    • 13' Pedersen's corner comes back off a post. Not sure Green was going to make that one with nobody on the near post. We remain at 1-0, but England were fortunate there.
    • 12' Green dives to nudge Henriksen's shot past the post. Norway have a corner then.
    • 11' Carroll giving Hangeland some real problems in the air as he flicks the header into Young's path. Norway forced to clear the danger.
    • 10' The Hodgson era is up and running then. That should give them some confidence as Hangeland heads clear the cross from Carroll.
    • 9' GOAL! Brilliant finish from Young. Goes beyond Hangeland as if he is not there before firing the shot past Jarstein. No chance for the Norway keeper. England lead 1-0.
    • 8' Elyounoussi mishits a volley before England try to break from deep in their own box.
    • 7' England using the ball well here before Parker overhits a pass. Norway playing high up the park as much as possible.
    • 6' England have failed to score in three successive games against Norway and are without a win in five against them - three draws and two losses.
    • 5' Young tries to slip in Milner. Just overcooks the pass. Jarstein picks up in the home goal. Decent stuff from England.
    • 4' Superb cross by Downing into the middle. Picks out Carroll, but he heads wide. Glorious chance. Should have been the opening goal from six yards out.
    • 3' Parker back to Lescott, who feeds Gerrard. England working their way out of a tight area. Important for England to keep the ball with some confidence this evening.
    • 2' Downing brings down Elyounossi. The home side keeping the ball early on. Pitch like a bowling green. Ideal for possession football.
    • 1' Norway get the action off and running.
    • 19.43 A quick blast of God Save the Queen before a geezer sporting a magical perm sings the Norwegian national anthem. Almost ready for the off in Oslo.
    • 19.42 Players emerge from the tunnel. England players carrying roses. They will pass these to the home players as a mark of respect for the massacres in Norway last year.
    • 19.40 Match odds for this evening: Norway 5/2, England 11/10, Draw 23/10.
    • 19.35 Hodgson: "He (Andy Carroll) is a major threat in the penalty box. We play for results. It is very important we get a good result. They are a tough team to beat in Norway. We're taking on teams that will be similar to those who we mee in the Ukraine. I need to know what we will be like when we face top opposition. It starts here tonight. "
    • 19.30 Egil Olsen (Norway manager): "What I care about is that we perform well. If we put in a good performance, but still lose I will not be so very sorry for that. We meet a team with players who are a little better than ours. I grew up with English football. Everyone had an English team. It was my childhood. We will just work very, very hard."
    • 19.25 Roy Hodgson: "Scott Parker is good, we were concerned about his Achilles but he's taken part in all the training and will be taking part tomorrow. Glen Johnson has an infected toe that will keep him out of the game tomorrow, but we hope he'll be okay by next week. Danny Welbeck's injury has cleared up less quickly than we'd hoped, but medical expertise tells me he'll be okay. A lot of positions are taken care of as we're still waiting for the Chelsea players and of course Wayne Rooney. "
    • 19.20 Norway side for this evening: Jarstein, Hogli, Demidov, Hangeland, Riise; Tettey; Elyounoussi, Henriksen, Gamst Pedersen, Braaten; Moa.
    • 19.17 England haven’t played Norway for 17 years. They drew their last friendly in Oslo 0-0 in 1995. England haven't managed a win over Norway in 32 years when Terry McDermott netted twice in a 4-0 win at Wembley in a World Cup qualifier. Would be a worthwhile time to start tonight on Roy's big night.
    • 19.15 A number of English-based players featured heavily in Norway's qualifying campaign, including Fulham duo Brede Hangeland and John Arne Riise, Blackburn's Morten Gamst Pedersen and Erik Huseklepp, who turned out for both Portsmouth and Birmingham this season. Hannover striker Moa Abdellaoue is set to lead the line for Norway having attracted interest from a number of Premier League clubs following his displays for club and country this term, with a number of scouts due to watch him in action.
    • 19.10 Striker Danny Welbeck has continued intensive treatment after the domestic campaign drew to a close and is not involved. Scott Parker has shown no ill effects from the injection he had on his Achilles injury last week and starts, while Glen Johnson's toe problem has been described as nothing more than "an irritant". Leighton Baines and Phil Jones will occupy the full-back berths, while Liverpool striker Andy Carroll also gets the nod.
    • 19.05 Teams: England: Green, Jones, Baines, Gerrard, Jagielka, Lescott, Milner, Parker, Carroll, Young, Downing..subs: Kelly, Hart, Henderson, Barry, Oxlade Chamberlain, Walcott, Defoe, Adam Johnson..will bring you Norway as soon as we get it....
