    • 90+2' FT: Brazil 3-0 France. Convincing in the end from the hosts.
    • 90+1' GOAL! That's 3-0 Brazil. Easy from Lucas Moura.
    • 90+1' PENALTY! Great run from Marcelo. Fouled by Debuchy. It's a spot-kick to Brazil.
    • 90' Two minutes extra added.
    • 87' SUB (Brazil): Neymar off, Bernard on.
    • 86' SUB (Brazil): Paulinho off, Dante on.
    • 86' Poor from Gomis there. Ball switched cross-field into his path and he was caught offside.
    • 84' GOOOOL! Hernanes makes it 2-0 Brazil. It was a counter-attack, switch to Lucas who crossed for Neymar and he laid off the Lazio midfielder. His effort wasn't convincing, but it found the net.
    • 83' "Three of France's front four (on the pitch now) are all Lyon - Grenier, Gomis, Lacazette." - From @mohammedali_93
    • 81' SUB (France): Cabaye off, Gomis on.
    • 79' SUB (Brazil): Luiz Gustavo off, Hernanes on.
    • 75' Lively run from Lucas Moura who has looked sharp since coming on.
    • 72' So, we've had plenty of changes. The game has struggled to gain some momentum since. Not much change to Brazil's system with former Manchester City man Jo spearheading the attack, Neymar left, Lucas Moura right.
    • 67' SUB (France): Giroud, Lacazette & Grenier on --- Benzema, Valbuena, Matiudi off.
    • 67' SUB (Brazil): Fred off, Jo on.
    • 66' Brilliant double-save from Hugo Lloris. Alves crosses for Fred and his shot is superbly stopped by the Spurs No.1 and he reacts to deny Neymar, too.
    • 65' SUB (Brazil): Oscar & Hulk off, Lucas & Fernando on.
    • 61' Neither Mathieu or Sakho could convert Valbuena's asking corner-kick which flew across the six-yard box.
    • 59' LUCKY for David Luiz. Valbuena's cross was met by the Brazil defender facing his own goal and the ball rebounded off the post.
    • 58' Marcelo trying his luck from long-range. Easy save from Lloris.
    • 55' Plenty of replays of the goal on Brazilian TV. Cabaye was upended in the lead up to the Brazil goal, and it should've been a foul to France.
    • 54' CLOSE! Oscar again making a late burst into the box. He was picked out by Hulk but his deft flick just missed the far-post.
    • 53' GOOOOAL! Oscar tucks home the opening goal to the delight of the home fans. Assisted by Fred.
    • 48' Another long-range effort from France. The ball worked from right-to-left to Payet who rifles left-foot strike wide of the post.
    • 46' Quite a response from Yoann Cabaye of France. Long-range shot across goal and wide of the left-hand post. Good effort.
    • 46' Close from Hulk! Brazil start with some impetus and the Zenit forward racing clear on the right-side of the box, but skews shot wide.
    • 45' That's us underway for the second-half in Porto Alegre.
    • 45' So, the French players are back on the field. Just waiting on the hosts ...
    • 45+1' HT: Brazil 0-0 France
    • 45' Added Time: One minute.
    • 44' Neymar inches away from 1-0! Marcelo overlapping on the left to great effect and he thumps the ball across goal, and just too much for Neymar to tap in at the back-post.
    • 42' Neymar to Marcelo on the left, and cleared by Sakho. The big France defender has had a really impressive first-half.
    • 39' Shot wide from Oscar: the midfielder picked up the ball, facing the goal from the left-hand side, but sliced the shot across goal and wide.
    • 38' Speculative effort from Guilavogui again. Didn't really test Cesar from 35 yards.
    • 36' Good first-half from Oscar. Started on the right, but is finding pockets of space across the midfield line. Creating most of Brazil's half-chances.
    • 33' Training ground set-piece from Brazil wins another corner-kick.
    • 30' Oscar and Neymar combining to good effect there, and almost the opener for Scolari's side. The Barca man just couldn't convert at the back-post.
    • 29' Dmitri Payet still down after that challenge from Luiz. The Chelsea man went right through the back of the French attacker's calf. We'll see if he continues.
    • 28' YELLOW: David Luiz (Brazil)
    • 28' And from that resulting corner-kick, David Luiz of Chelsea heads wide.
    • 27' Period of pressure from Brazil. Hulk to Paulinho - but blocked by Sakho. Then, Neymar wins a second corner in quick succession.
    • 26' Somewhere in Barcelona, there was a huge sigh of relief as Neymar gingerly gets back to his feet. Strong challenge from Debuchy.
    • 22' France working their way through the Brazilian lines with Payet leading the charge, but his shot trundles into Julio Cesar's arms.
    • 20' (Co. of @brianhomewood) - "The Brazilian fans have gone to sleep"
    • 19' Hulk tries his luck from distance, cutting inside from that right-sided role, but on his stronger left-foot, he was nowhere near close to hitting the target.
    • 17' Disappointing effort from Neymar. Off the wall ...
    • 16' Poor defending from Debuchy who bundles over Neymar at the edge of the 18-yard-box from a route one, long-ball. Free-kick Brazil.
    • 15' Header wide from Guilavogui. That ought to have been 1-0 France. Great, whipped free-kick from Mathieu Valbuena and the defender had the goal facing him, but nodded wide of the near-post.
    • 13' Oh! Sore one for Marcelo, who didn't shirk, as Benzema blasted a left-foot shot, heading goalwards, against his midrift.
    • 10' Brazil's setup turning into a 4-3-3 very quickly with Neymar to the left of Fred and Hulk on the opposite side. Gustavo crucial in holding the fort in-front of the back-four.
    • 9' Newcastle's Cabaye drifting offside there. No questions. Should have held his run in that counter-attack.
    • 6' France slack in midfield at times, but that was a good run from Payet coming in from the left-flank. Benzema creeped offside and it's a defensive free-kick to Brazil.
    • 5' You would be forgiven for thinking this is Brazil-Uruguay with the Light Blue kit of France.
    • 3' Good work from Valencia's Jeremy Mathieu on the left-hand side to win the first corner of the game. It was cleared by the Brazilian defence.
    • 2' First chance of the match for Brazil striker Fred who moved well to the front-post and got a touch to Oscar's cross. Ended up in Row Z.
    • 1' Crazy start. A moment of madness from Hugo Lloris who thought he was Maradona inside his own penalty box. Eventually lost the ball, but came to nothing.
    • 0' And they're off ... (No, it's not horse racing.)
    • 19:59 The players have been standing around for four or five minutes now. It looks like we're finally ready to get started.
    • 19:58 A few jeers for Oscar, according to @fernando_duarte, because of his time with Internacional, one of the two sides from Porto Alegre.
    • 19:54 We're in Porto Alegre for tonight's match. The 60,000-seater stadium was opened just last year, so plenty of Gremio and Internacional shirts scattered around the ground.
    • 19:53 The National Anthems are underway, on to Brazil ...
    • 19:52 Les Bleus have Karim Benzema back in action for tonight, and boss Didier Deschamps says: "There is no secret formula for winning but I would isolate the (Brazil) team a little bit because there is going to be a lot of pressure from journalists and the public. The ideal solution would be to take them away from that."
    • 19:51 So, Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has made no changes to the team that drew against England last week. He said: "If I had to play again in three days I would put the same team out in the first half. We will see what happens during the week but it`s likely we are going to repeat today's line-up."
    • 19:36 Teams: BRAZIL: Julio Cesar, Alves, Silva, Luiz, Marcelo, Paulinho, Neymar, Gustavo, Oscar, Fred, Hulk… Subs: Cavalieri, Dante, Fernando, Filipe, Hernanes, Jadson, Jean, Jefferson, Jo, Lucas //// FRANCE: Lloris, Debuchy, Rami, Sakho, Mathieu, Cabaye, Guilavogui, Matuidi, Valbuena, Benzema, Payet… Subs: Capoue, Giroud, Gomis, Gourcuff, Grenier, Koscielny, Lacazette, Mandanda, Mangala, Ruffier, Sagna, Tremoulinas
    • 19:35 Evening folks, another night of International football on Tonight, we've got a cracker between Brazil and France with the likes of Neymar on show. How do you see this going? I'm Ross Dunbar @rossdunbar93 on Twitter, and I'll be taking you through the game!
  • Summary

  5. Please dont mention Neymar on the same page with Ronaldo de Lima, Ronaldinho or Rivaldo. those three along with Romario and the Great Pele are Brazilian Football Legends. Coutinho will be something to watch for the future, that boy has got mad talent. Neymar just sit in Barcelona and watch Messi outshines u. You made a wrong choice of club, Barcelona didnt need you just yet.

From Sabas, on Sun 9 Jun 22:23
  6. The game was a close one and closer than the score line suggest. France were missing Ribery and Nasri's creative moves. Brazil are much better than against England but the shape and formation starts to appear. It's typical Scolari's team based on solidity rather than Spectacular. Neymar has still not shown enough to warrant multimillion pound move to Barcelona.

  11. I saw enough of Coutinho at the end of the season to know he should be in and around this very ordinary Brazil team. Neymar is good but not in the league of Romario, Ronaldo, Rivaldo or Ronaldinho. For me, and I do hope I'm wrong, he'll be no better than Denilson (the one who signed for Real Betis way back when)
