    • 90'+3 FULL-TIME: Ireland 2-0 Poland. Goals from Clark and Hoolahan give the hosts a huge lift.
    • 90'+2 Poland still pressing.
    • 90'+1 Three minutes of added time.
    • 90' It's been an impressive second period by Ireland. They just about deserve the win as Poland have not shown anything following the interval.
    • 89' Grosicki shoots... well wide.
    • 88' Poland urging each other forward but it looks in vain unless they can pull off something quite remarkable...
    • 87' Prior to the game it emerged it was 40-plus years since Ireland had lost three games In Dublin on the spin. It's looking like that stat will continue.
    • 86' Greg Cunningham booked for time-wasting.
    • 85' Usually such a large number of substitutes disrupts the flow of the game but on this occasion it's actually helped it after an insipid first half.
    • 84' A third Derby player makes his Ireland debut as Richard Keogh comes on for Clark.
    • 83' Less than eight minutes for Poland to manufacture something here. At the moment it's looking more like Ireland will get a third.
    • 82' It's looking like the perfect morale-booster for Ireland ahead fo the crunch clash with Sweden next month.
    • 81' A ball into the channel threatens to get Lewandowski away but Forde does well to see the threat and is out to sweep up the danger.
    • 80' Simon Cox on for McClean.
    • 79' Another Ireland sub on the way.
    • 78' Poland look shell-shocked here. A shadow of the side so dominant in the first period.
    • 77' Adrian Mierzejewski enters the action for Poland amidst the celebrations of Ireland's second goal.
    • 76' GOAL! 2-0 to Ireland. Hoolahan races onto a clipped pass and arrows a shot into the bottom corner. What an impact!
    • 74' More changes on the way. In the meantime Ireland have won a free-kick in a decent position.
    • 73' Lewandowksi gets a sniff of goal but he's eventually crowded out just as he looked set to turn and fire in a shot.
    • 72' Poland's final ball has been poor in this second half and another attempted cross drifts harmlessly out of play. That will suit Ireland all day long.
    • 71' Those changes: Jon Walters on for Brady and Jeff Hendrick on for McCarthy.
    • 70' Double sub for Ireland.
    • 69' Green's header almost falls for Sammon but Poland manage to hack it clear after Brady's cross had caused some confusion in the area.
    • 67' A lightning break from Poland has Ireland at full stretch but Lewandowski's cross is a poor one and Forde is able to gather.
    • 66' Poland pressing now and Forde causes some anxiety by punching a cross clear when it looked easy enough to catch.
    • 65' CORRECTION Wes Hoolahan on for Long for Ireland.
    • 64' A flare is thrown onto the pitch in the middle of the Irish area. That's probably as exciting as it has been so far in this second half for the visitors. Not enough spark...
    • 63' Glorious chance for Milik but he slips at the vital moment and can't get his shot away following a cut back from the right.
    • 62' Wes Hoolihan on for Long.
    • 61' A mistake by Poland sets up Sammon for what must be his first goal - but his touch is heavy and the keeper is out to collct. Great chance.
    • 60' McCarthy booked for a late tackle.
    • 58' Obraniak replaced by Arkadisuz Milik.
    • 57' Poland about to make another substitution as they look for a way back into the game.
    • 56' Ireland only half-clear it but when the ball breaks to the right Sammon is there to make a good interception at the near post. It's been one of those games for the Derby frontman where he's only had scraps to feed on up top and his best work is taking place in his own half.
    • 55' Free-kick to Poland in a dangerous position on the left.
    • 54' Obraniak booked.
    • 53' Poland look a little bit stunned by how different this Ireland team are in this second half.

    • 41' Long limps off for treatment after a clash of legs with Glik.
    • 40' The goal has given Ireland a huge lift. The gulf between the two teams has definitely narrowed.
    • 39' Poland still complaining about that decision and rightly so looking at the replay.
    • 38' Corner is only half-cleared and a Polish attacker goes down in the box. It looked like a penalty but the referee says no. Clark on Lewandowski.
    • 37' Another poor kick from Forde gifts Poland another chance but once again the keeper makes amends with a fine stop to keep out Lewandowski's low effort.
    • 36' Clark's first goal in his fourth appearance for his country. In truth it has come totally against the run of play.

    • 29' Shots on target after half an hour: Ireland 0-2 Poland.
    • 28' Great chance for Poland. Lewandowski breaks the offside trap and races through but Forde comes out well and denies the Dortmund man. He should have scored though.

    • 25' Corner to Poland after good play by Lewandowski.
    • 24' Here are those Group H standings. Group H

    • 22' Glenn Whelan launches a 50-yard ball towards Long but it's way over-hit and sums up the opening to this match.
    • 21' Robbie Brady picks up a loose ball on the edge of the box and fizzes a volley just wide. Better from the hosts.
    • 20' Ireland look set up not to lose rather than showing any intent to go out and win this game.
    • 19' Another break down the left by Pawlowski but this time his cross is too close to Forde.
    • 18' Ireland looking very uncertain at the moment and Poland are pushing for the opener.
    • 17' Mistake by Forde presents the ball to Ludovic Obraniak who drills in a shot that the keeper does well to deflect past the post. Corner ball.
    • 16' The Polish support are in strong voice here. Not very often the Irish home crowd are drowned out by the visitors.
    • 15' Very little action at the moment. Perhaps unsurprising that two of the last four meetings between the two sides in Dublin have ended 0-0.
    • 14' Poland with 64 per cent of the possession so far. Ireland struggling to keep the ball.
    • 13' Jakub Blaszczykowski surges down the right and is abruptly forced to the ground by Ciaran Clark. The Irish defender lucky to escape without a caution for what was a cynical foul.
    • 12' Good touch by Sammon feeds James McClean on the left but his delivery is poor.
    • 11' And another one as there is very little action of note in these early exchanges. STAT: Ireland have lost three of their last four home games, conceding 10 goals in those three reversals.
    • 10' An interesting stat for you... Ireland have won only five of their 23 previous meetings with Poland.
    • 9' Ireland yet to show anything of note in the attacking third, perhaps lacking a bit of confidence having lost their last two on home turf.
    • 8' Meanwhile, Poland boss Waldemar Fornalik said: "Results are always important. In Dublin, we want to play a good game, but also check out some options and realise certain assumptions. We are chasing a positive result."
    • 7' Looking ahead to the match, Trapattoni was keen to talk up the inclusion of Sammon. He told his pre-match press conference: "He is robust and quick. The big man they are not generally so agile and sensible with the ball. He can defend the ball very well up front and attack their defence quickly. He can also play. He is big and bold and strong but usually such players are not so quick. I hope he can continue because we have been impressed over the two days with us."
    • 6' And another corner. This time Ireland clear their lines with relative ease.
    • 5' Poland well on top early on and Forde is again called into action. Corner to the visitors.
    • 4' Szymon Pawlowski, who is in a rich vein of form, scoring in his last two games for Poland, flies down the flank but is beaten to the ball by the alert goalkeeping of David Forde.
    • 3' A big night for 26-year-old Sammon who has scored seven goals for Derby so far this season.
    • 2' A minute of applause held prior to kick off, in memory of those within the Irish football family who lost their lives in the past year.
    • 1' KICK OFF!
    • 19.40 Almost showtime. An estimated 20,000 Polish fans in the stadium for this friendly. A tough ask for this inexperienced Irish side. Can they get a positive result? We'll find out very shortly.
