    • 90+5' The referee brings proceedings to an end. Argentina edge out Sweden 3-2 in a hugely enetertaining match. Thanks for joining us.
    • 90+4' GOAL!! Sweden grab a late goal. Rasmus Elm smashes home a free kick from 35 yards, leaving Romero absolutely no chance. That ball was hit with an awful lot of power.
    • 90+3' Rasmus Elm finds some space down the right and sends a lofted ball into the penalty area. Hysen gets above Coloccini but can only send his header over the bar from 12 yards.
    • 90+2' Granqvist’s corner from the right is sent onto the edge of the six yard box. Romero attempts to claim it but gets nowhere near the ball, leaving his goal wide open. Fortunately for the keeper, Coloccini reads it and heads clear.
    • 90+1' Gonzalo Higuain, who scored Argentina's third, makes way for Wigan Athletic's Franco Di Santo.
    • 90' We’ll have four minutes of added time.
    • 89' We have a pitch invader. A man wearing a Barcelona shirt with ‘Messi’ on the back runs onto the pitch and straight towards his idol. He kisses the little Argentine on the head, hugs him and then departs. Leo takes it pretty well and obliges.
    • 88' Rasmus Elm plays a long, sweeping ball from right to left into the path of M. Olsson. Unchallenged, Olsson skips forward and sends the ball into the box. There’s not a Swedish player around but Campagnaro needlessly put the ball out for a corner.
    • 87' Fabricio Collocini is given the last four minutes as Ezequiel Garay is replaced. Lavezzi wins a corner for his side.
    • 86' Wernbloom carries the ball from midway into the Sweden half all the way to the edge of the penalty area before laying the ball out wide into the path of M. Olsson, but the defender’s cross is overhit and flies out for a throw in.
    • 84' Argentina captain Messi and Swedish substitute Wernbloom are still having a go at each other after that challenge. Messi was clearly not happy with it and is making himself heard.
    • 83' Pontius Wernbloom goes into the book for a rather sloppy challenge on Messi. The Barca man gives the Swede a piece of his mind before eventually getting to his feet.
    • 82' Pontius Wernbloom goes into the book for a rather sloppy challenge on Messi. The Barca man gives the Swede a piece of his mind before eventually getting to his feet.
    • 81' It’s all Argentina now. Sweden are sat deep and are just soaking up the pressure. They’re not being allowed out of their own half as the visitors continue to come forward.
    • 80' Messi nearly gets his goal! He initially starts his side’s attack and then makes his way into the box. Higuain shows a turn of pace on the left flank to skip past a challenge before firing into the penalty area. Messi looks certain to stroke the ball home only for Granqvist to make a superb sliding challenge.
    • 79' M. Olsson’s cross from the left has the Argentine defence backtracking. Romero opts to stay on his line, leaving Garay to clear from the edge of the six yard box. Subsitute Durmaz almost got on the end of that!!
    • 77' Campagnaro pulls out wide on the left and screams for the ball. Banega does eventually find his teammate, but only just with Ranegie lurking. The Argentine right back carries the ball a long way before crossing, but the centre is poor and drifts out for a goal kick.
    • 76' Lavezzi does come on and replaces Aguero. Pontius Wernbloom is introduced for the hosts, with Kim Kallstrom coming on. Jimmy Durmaz is also given a run out.
    • 75' Argentina attack in numbers and Sweden look short at the back. Higuain dwells on the ball which allows for the hosts to get back and stifle the Argentina attack.
    • 74' There are a number of substitutes warming up on the touchline for both sides. It looks like Lavezzi will coming on for the visitors.
    • 73' Messi produces another moment of magic in the penalty area as his initial shot rolls somewhat fortuitously back into his path, but he spins past two challenges and looks for the nutmegs but is robbed of the ball by J. Olsson.
    • 72' Larsson’s set-piece is wasted as it’s floated too near the goalkeeper, allowing for Romero to claim the ball. He wastes no time in distributing it with a huge throw out wide into the feet of Higuain.
    • 71' Larsson’s set-piece is wasted as it’s floated too near the goalkeeper, allowing for Romero to claim the ball. He wastes no time in distributing it with a huge throw out wide into the feet of Higuain.
    • 70' Fernando Gago makes way for Ever Banega in a like-for-like change for the visitors.
    • 69' Fernando Gago makes way for Ever Banega in a like-for-like change for the visitors.
    • 68' Aguero is the first man to go into the book after a late challenge on Granqvist. It was a striker’s challenge and he’s rightfully go into the book.
    • 67' Ranegie whips a ball towards Johansson on the edge of the penalty area but Garay reads the danger as gets in front of his man to clear the ball up field.
    • 66' Sweden look to build an attack down the left but are forced back as there’s nothing on. They’re struggling with any invention at the moment.
    • 64' There’s a little bit of afters as Gago and Kallstrom go into a challenge. The Argentine attempts to run off after the ball has gone but the Swede throws him to the floor. Luckily the referee didn’t see it.
    • 63' The hosts make another change as Mikael Lustig is replaced by Rasmus Elm.
    • 62' The visitors also make a change. Cristian Ansaldi replaces Pablo Zabaleta.
    • 61' Adam Johansson is introduced as Anders Svensson makes way.
    • 60' Aguero misses an open goal. The striker makes a diagonal run which is spotted by Messi and the Man City striker cuts past a few challenges on his way into the penalty area. He continues his run and evades the challenge of Isaksson before attempting a finish from a tight angle but sends it wide.
    • 59' Sweden have being pushed deeper and deeper into their half over the last few minutes. There’s not a single player in the Argentnia half now.
    • 58' That would have been some goal. Gago was the man to find Messi with a neat little scoop over the top of the Swedish back line. As he always does, Messi timed his run to perfection to take the ball out of the air and lift it over the keeper on the volley.
    • 57' Argentina go so close to adding a fourth goal. Isaksson makes a superb overhead-kick clearance off his line after Messi had attempted a cheeky lob. The visitors are adamant it had crossed the line but replays show the keeper managed to make the clearance in time.
    • 56' Gago tries one trick too many as Hysen closes him down. The Argentine is high up the pitch and nearly loses the ball. Had he done, Sweden would have been in on goal.
    • 55' The hosts have had the majority of the ball in this second half so far. They’ve seen a lot of it in the middle of the park, but without the magic that Ibra provides, they’ve so far not been able to break down the visitors.
    • 53' M. Olsson gets forward again and plays a one-two with Kacaniklic, receiving the ball on the byline. He thumps the ball into the box but Romero is on his toes and is off his line to gather.
    • 52' The game doesn’t have the same frantic pace about it yet. There was a real energy to the first half which just hasn’t been matched as of yet but I don’t think we’ve seen the end of the scoring.
    • 51' Mascherano is harried by Seb Larsson on the half way line. The Barca man tries to wriggle away from the challenge but hits the floor and is accidentally stamped on by the Sunderland midfielder.
    • 50' There’s a mix up in the Argentina box as granqvist’s corner is met by the head of J. Olsson but the defender can’t direct his header on goal. It loops up as Romero rushes out and tries to clear it with a punch but makes very little contact with the ball, leaving Mascherano to make the clearance.
    • 49' There’s a mix up in the Argentina box as Granqvist’s corner is met by the head of J. Olsson but the defender can’t direct his header on goal. It loops up as Romero rushes out and tries to clear it with a punch but makes very little contact with the ball, leaving Mascherano to make the clearance.
    • 48' Kallstrom drops out to the left and tries to engineer something for his side. He skips past one challenge and then looks to whip the ball in from the byline. Gago is on hand to make the challenge but is caught by the trailing foot of Kallstrom and is in some pain.
    • 47' Argentina have also made a change. Walter Montillo comes on as the visitors instantly gain possession of the ball and look to attack. Angel Di Maria is the man to go off.
    • 46' The second half is under way. The hosts have made change as Zlatan Ibrahimovic is replaced by Matthias Ranegie.
    • 45' The half time whistle is blown. What a thoroughly entertaining 45 minutes of football.
    • 44' Superb stuff from Ibrahimovic. The striker doesn’t give up on what seems like a lost cause. He keeps the ball in on the left flank and then drives into the penalty area, dragging the ball past Campagnaro and then attempting a toe-poked cross which ricochets off Garay out for a corner.
    • 43' Di Maria and Messi produce a bit of tiki-taka inside the opposition penalty area as defenders can do nothing but watch, afraid to stick a leg out. The former does find a little space on the right-hand side of the box and pulls the trigger, firing straight into the legs of M. Olsson.
    • 41' Mascherano is left in a heap on the floor. The Barca utility man goes into a 50/50 challenge with Svensson and comes out second best. Both players went in hard but the Sweden midfielder got there fractionally before his opposition and Mascherano looks in some discomfort.
    • 40' Messi receives a rather poor ball but somehow manages to take it in his stride and dart past four Sweden defenders into the box. He fakes a shot initially and then does pull the trigger. It looks like it could find the bottom corner but J. Olsson’s sliding challenge sends the ball out for a corner.
    • 39' The visiting side go right up the other end and nearly add to their tally. Aguero and Di Maria both hold their run superbly as Messi shows off some more magic to advance down field. The No. 10 opts to play in Aguero who fires at goal from a tight angle, past the stationary Isaksson and only marginally past the post.
    • 38' The visiting side go right up the other end and nearly add to their tally. Aguero and Di Maria both hold their run superbly as Messi shows off some more magic to advance down field. The No. 10 opts to play in Aguero who fires at goal from a tight angle, past the stationary Isaksson and only marginally past the post.
    • 36' The Swedes have their first shot on goal for some time, but it’s nothing to trouble Romero. Svensson finds some space on the left touchline and cuts inside after receive the ball from Larsson. He feeds the ball into the feet of Kacaniklic who does superbly to turn on the spot but can only fire into the arms of the Argentina stopper.
    • 35' The home side are given a bit of a reprieve as Gago’s attempted long ball is overhit and runs through to Isaksson. M. Olsson drops deep to claim the ball as his side are given a breather.
    • 34' Zabaleta receives the ball deep in his own half and instead of passing opts to take on Kacaniklic. The right-back does superbly well and bullies his way past the Swede as he takes the ball to the half-way line. Top stuff from the Man City defender.
    • 33' The hosts are trying to force it at the moment. Ibrahimovic, although attempting to drop back and help out, looks very isolated up front. Argentina regain possession and look to attack in numbers, yet again.
    • 32' The hosts are trying to force it at the moment. Ibrahimovic, although attempting to drop back and help out, looks very isolated up front. Argentina regain possession and look to attack in numbers, yet again.
    • 30' Argentina are just knocking the ball around with consummate ease at the moment. It is all too simple. They’re not giving Sweden a look in.
    • 29' Zabaleta exchanges a few words with the referee as he creeps further and further forward when trying to take a throw in. The referee points back to where the throw-in should be but the Argentine is having none of it. Lucky not to go into the book.
    • 28' Sweden are really struggling to get out of their own half. Messi scoops the ball over the top of the hosts’ defence as Aguero gets in behind his defender. The attacker takes the ball down on his chest but it’s a heavy touch and rolls out for a goal kick.
    • 27' Zabaleta and Higuain trade a number of passes on the right wing before the right-back’s touch lets him down. Sweden look to counter attack but Larsson’s five-yard pass is intercepted and the ball comes back at the hosts...
    • 26' Di Maria should scores. Messi races forward and skips past a number of challenges. With Sweden short at the back the little magician plays a reverse ball into the feet of the Real Madrid winger who shoots at goal. It’s a decent effort but Isaksson beats it away at the near post.
    • 24' The hosts just couldn’t handle Argentina’s passing then. They could get nowhere near the South Americans and were slow to react following Messi’s shot. They need to get a foothold in this game or it could be embarrassing.
    • 23' GOAL!! HIGUAIN SCORES. The visitors exchange a number of short, sharp passes on the edge of the Sweden penalty area, creating some space for Messi to have a shot at goal. It’s hit with plenty of power and Isaksson can only parry it out to the penalty spot. Higuain reacts quickest and all he has to do is tap it into an empty net, which he does with ease.
    • 22' What a mad few minutes. There was a suspicion of offside there but Aguero timed his run to perfection to get on the end of that pass and take nothing away from the finish. It was marvellous.
    • 20' GOAL!! ARGENTINA ARE BACK IN FRONT!! Di Maria carries the ball through the middle of the pitch, completely unchallenged. He plays a delightful pass into the path of Aguero – who makes a darting run. Granqvist attempts a sliding interception but can’t quite get anything on the ball as Aguero takes one touch before dinking the ball over the onrushing Isaksson. Lovely finish.
    • 19' Sweden really have their tails up now. They win the ball back from the kick off and go forward. Ibrahimovic has it on the wing but tries one trick too many and is tackled.
    • 18' GOAL!!! Granqvist’s dangerous inswinging corner is met by the towering Jonas Olssen, who rises higher than everybody at the far post to head home past a helpless Sergio Romero.
    • 16' Kallstrom is in the thick of the action again as he takes the ball from his own half and travels down the flank. Zabaleta attempts to get something on the ball but trips his man and the hosts have a free kick.
    • 15' Sweden get a good look at the ball and attempt a counter attack after being under a bit of pressure. Kallstrom uses his pace on the right flank but Gago tracks him all the way and makes a decent challenge to claim the ball.
    • 14' Higuain and Aguero exchange a number of passes on the right wing which releases the Man City man. He gets to the byline but there is a lack of support in the penalty area, forcing Aguero to turn back and play the ball to Zabaleta.
    • 13' Messi drops deep again, as he so often does for his club side. He gathers the ball in the centre circle and looks to burst forward but is hauled to the ground Svensson. It’s a good foul as his teammates were in an advanced position.
    • 12' Argentina look to be turning the screw in the last few minutes. It’s been a very attacking opening 12 minutes but the South Americans are seeing a lot of the ball.
    • 11' Lovely play from the visitors. The ball is swept from left to right in an instant, with Messi nonchalantly flicking the ball with the outside of his right foot. The Barca man makes his way into the box and is nearly found with a devilish ball only for Granqvist to make a perfect sliding challenge.
    • 10' Hysen finds some space in behind his man on the right and is almost found by Svensson but Federico Fernandez recovers well to acrobatically clear the ball. Good defending.
    • 9' Ibra shows some real class in the middle of the park. He drops deep to collect the ball, plays a little one-two with Seb Larsson and then produced a lovely bit of skill to take the ball away from two players before rolling the ball out wife to Kallstrom.
    • 8' Sweden have come into this game a little now. They looked a little shell-shocked after that goal but it’s pretty end-to-end stuff now.
    • 7' KACANIKLIC SHOULD SCORE!! Ibrahimovic bursts down the left and cuts inside his man before rolling the ball into the path of Kacaniklic who only has the goalkeeper to beat. He stretches for the ball, however, and drags his shot wide from 10 yards under some real pressure.
    • 6' Higuain has another chance as he’s played in by Messi this time. Almost an identical position to the one he scored from but he opts not to shoot and cuts inside of Andreas Granqvist before being dispossessed.
    • 5' What a start that is for the visitors here. They’ve seen all of the ball in the opening few minutes and look dangerous when going forward. As you’d expect.
    • 3' GOAL!! Argentina score. The visitors gain possession on the halfway line and attack in numbers. Sweden are short at the back as Angel Di Maria bursts down the middle with options both right and left. The Real Madrid man opts to play it out to his left into the path of Higuain who take one touch before pulling the trigger. Mikael Lustig attempts to get a block in but can only divert it into his own net from 6 yards.
    • 3' Lustig almost plays his side into trouble with a weak back pass to the goalkeeper. Isaksson is off his line in a flash to clear, though. It’s not a fantastic clearance as the ball is skewed out for an Argentina throw.
    • 2' The visitors kick off and instantly play the ball back to Garay. The composed defender carries it forward before sending it long towards Higuain but Olsson is on hand to head away.
    • 1' Referee Anthony Dauvergne blows his whistle. The game is under way.
    • 19:25 How do you think this game will play out? Will magical Messi be the main man or will the inspirational Ibrahimovic steal the show? Let me know by commenting at the bottom of the page or by getting in touch on Twitter @JoshuaHayward99.
    • 19:20 Argentina manager Alejandro Sabella had this to say on Ibra: "He's a great player because he has physical strength, is tall, good in the air… he makes the most of rebounds, he has all the skills to complicate [things]. He can score in all kinds of ways, even with free kicks as against England, which he did from 35 metres. We have to be especially careful faced by the quality of a player like Zlatan, but the fact that he's playing doesn't change my idea of how to defend."
    • 19:20 Both managers have had their say on tonight’s game and, quite unsurprisingly, the topic of conversation was focussed on Ibrahimovic and Messi. Sweden manager Erik Hamren said: "Both of them are like players you see in those video games. They do things you don't think it's possible to do. Two extremely talented and really, really good football players."
    • 19:15 The teams are in - SWEDEN: Isaksson, Lustig, Jonas Olsson, Granqvist, Martin Olsson, Larsson, Svensson, Kallstrom, Kacaniklic, Ibrahimovic, Hysen... Subs: Nordfeldt, Elm, Bengtsson, Nilsson, Wernbloom, Safari, Ranegie, Johansson, Durmaz /// ARGENTINA: Romero, Garay, Campagnaro, Zabaleta, Federico Fernandez, Gago, Di Maria, Mascherano, Higuain, Messi, Aguero... Subs: Alvarez, Coloccini, Montillo, Augusto Fernandez, Ansaldi, Rinaudo, Peruzzi, Ever, Gaitan, Lavezzi, Di Santo, Andujar
    • 19:12 The visitors have the luxury of being able to select from an almost full squad, with a frighteningly attacking trio of Messi, Sergio Aguero and Gonzalo Higuain likely to feature from the off. The only major omission from the Argentina squad is that of Benfica midfielder Enzo Perez, who did not travel with the team after sustaining an injury at the weekend. Wigan’s Franco di Santo could make his second appearance for his nation this evening whilst Rubin Kazan’s Cristian Ansaldi could start.
    • 19:10 Ibra’s involvement tonight is likely to be limited to just the opening 45 minutes as his coach Erik Hamren will look to rest the talented striker. Former Bolton Wanderers front-man Johan Elmander injured his thigh on Tuesday and will miss out. Defenders Mikael Antonsson and Joel Ekstrand, originally in the squad, have had to withdraw through injury, with Per Nilsson and Rasmus Bengtsson coming in.
    • 19:05 This match is sure to bring plenty of excitement and attractive football but the main event in Sweden tonight is the match-up between two of the world’s best footballers - Lionel Messi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
    • 19:00 Good evening and welcome to our LIVE coverage of tonight’s international friendly between Sweden and Argentina at the Friends Arena in Stockholm.
