3 vs. 4
RMD

93'
FULL TIME: Real Madrid 3-4 Barcelona
92'
Real Madrid are getting frustrated now, with Bale tripping Busquets in the centre of the pitch. Can the home side create one last chance? It doesn't look like it at the moment. Barca are set to do the Clasico double over their biggest rivals.
91'
Three minutes of stoppage time to be played.
90'

Real Madrid sub: Luka Modric OFF, Alvaro Morata ON.
Real Madrid Substitution
89'
Ronaldo comes surging forward, trying to make something happen as time runs out at the Bernabeu. Isco has been brought on as a bit of a gamble from Ancelotti. It looks like Alvaro Morata might be about to come on as well.
88'

YELLOW CARD: Luka Modric (Real Madrid)

87'
Looking at replays of the penalty incident, there didn't appear to be much contact between Alonso and Iniesta. The Real Madrid midfielder was slightly clumsy in his approach but Iniesta made the most of the contact, for sure.

Real Madrid sub: Angel Di Maria OFF, Isco ON.

YELLOW CARD: Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid)

GOAL! Real Madrid 3 Barcelona 4 (84 mins - Lionel Messi). Messi completes his hat-trick, converting high into the top corner from 12 yards. Great penalty and that goal could save Barca's season!
Barcelona Penalty

Left Footed - Top Right

83'
PENALTY TO BARCELONA! Iniesta is brought down by Alonso.
82'
Mascherano takes a pot-shot from about 30 yards, trying to catch out Lopez, but the Real Madrid keeper watches it fly over the bar. The last time Mascherano scored in a league game was against Reading... for Liverpool.
81'
This has been one of the best Clasicos in recent years. Ramos' red card was the 13th sending off in the last 14 games between these two clubs. Are we about to get a grandstand finish? Are Barca going to crank up the pressure?

As @juanjimenista points out bringing on Alexis for Fabregas when you have lots of possession & will be playing 1-2s round box bit strange

79'
Real Madrid are packing their defence and closing the spaces to try and stop Barcelona from finding a way through. A point is enough for them to claim top-spot in La Liga tonight. Barca need more than the one point.
Barcelona Substitution
78'

Barcelona sub: Cesc Fabregas OFF, Alexis Sanchez ON.
77'
Martino said before kick-off that a draw was of no use to his Barcelona side, and he looks to be sticking to his word. Sanchez is preparing to come on. The Catalans are going for this! They need the points.
76'
Real Madrid are resorting to playing on the break. Which I suppose isn't a bad tactic when you have players like Bale and Ronaldo on the pitch. The Welshman is still to make his mark on this game.
75'
Ancelotti puffed out his cheeks after seeing Alves strike the post. The Brazilian fullback hit that as sweet as a nut, with the ball even striking the inside of the post before it bounced away!
74'

Barca hit the post! Messi plays the ball to Alves, who takes a touch before striking at goal from about 20 yards. The ball skips up off the turf in front of Lopez, beating the keeper and hitting the woodwork.
73'
But make no mistake, of the two teams Barcelona look the most likely to score a winner here. They're in control of the game at the moment.
72'
It looks like Real Madrid are holding on for a point here. They're trying desperately to keep their defensive shape, which has been made easier by the fact that Varane has been drafted in with Ramos now off the pitch.
71'
Pepe grab his back in apparent pain after a collision with Fabregas. He dishes it out, but doesn't take it very well.
70'
Pedro had been waiting to come on for about a full 10 minutes. Then Neymar won the penalty just as he was supposed to be withdrawn. However, now the speedy attacker is on the pitch. Can he make the most of Barca's man advantage?
69'

Barcelona sub: Neymar OFF, Pedro ON.
Barcelona Substitution
68'
Benzema looked somewhat surprised as he was taken off by Ancelotti. He received a standing ovation from the Bernabeu crowd, with Varane coming on to reinforce things at the back. Are Real Madrid holding on for a draw?
67'
Replays show that Neymar actually tripped himself up as he raced through on goal. So not only was it not a red card but it wasn't even a penalty! Barcelona have got away with one there.

GOAL! Real Madrid 3 Barcelona 3 (64 mins - Lionel Messi). Messi follows up what Ronaldo did just a few minutes ago by finding the corner with his spot kick from 12 yards. Lopez had no chance of making the save.
63'

RED CARD! Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid)
Real Madrid Red card

Real Madrid

Barcelona

63'
PENALTY TO BARCELONA! Neymar brought down by Ramos inside the area.
62'
That penalty goals means Ronaldo has now scored 11 goals in his last 13 Clasico appearances. Compare that to the two goals he scored in his first eight Clasicos as a Real Madrid player.
61'
Iniesta almost catches Lopez cold with a snap shot about 25 yards out! The ball fell to the midfielder from a corner kick but his long range effort flies over the bar after taking a touch off Bale on its way through.
60'
So how will Barcelona respond now? I think Neymar will be hooked soon. He looks to be struggling with his fitness in this second half. Could we see Pedro or Alexis Sanchez soon? I think so.
58'
Good save by Valdes! Benzema plays a wonderful backheel flick for Bale, but with the angle getting tighter and tighter the Barcelona keeper comes out to make the save. That was all about the skill frokm Benzema though.
57'
I'd said Ronaldo had been quiet in the first half. Well, he's been involved after the break and has given Real Madrid a crucial lead. Great penalty. Valdes stood no chance of saving it.
56'
There was certainly contact between Alves and Ronaldo, with the Barca player tripping him as he went through on goal. But did the contact happen outside the box? Replays suggest it happened just outside the penalty area.
55'

GOAL! Real Madrid 3 (55 mins - Cristiano Ronaldo) Barcelona 2. Ronaldo picks himself up and slams home the penalty, finding the bottom left corner. Valdes guessed the right way but there was too much power on the strike.
Real Madrid Penalty

Right Footed - Bottom Left

54'
PENALTY TO REAL MADRID! Ronaldo brought down by Alves inside the area.
53'
What a chance for Benzema! Bale explodes through the middle, beating about three Barcelona players before slotting through his teammate, who takes the shot first time on the turn. But Valdes gets down well to make the save.
51'
Di Maria stands on Neymar's toe and Marcelo actually gets Alonso to put the ball out of play. The Real Madrid left back clearly thinking about his country's World Cup prospects there.
50'
While we've pointed out that Bale and Ronaldo have been poor so far, it's worth pointing out that Neymar has also looked a little lost at times. He's had a poor time of it with injuries in 2014 and is struggling for form.
49'
Pique is up for the corner kick and stays up there when the ball gets lumped back into the box, but the Barca centre back is adjudged to have pushed Pepe, who made the most of the contact to say the least.
48'
Iniesta tries to pick a way through the Real Madrid backline, but there are too many bodies in the way as he tries to pick a pass to Neymar and Pepe comes away with the ball.
47'
Barca have started the second half the better of the two sides, but then they started the first half better too, and were trailing after 35 minutes. Martino has switched Neymar again. He's on the right now.
46'
So which way will the pendulum swing in this second half? Even by Clasico standards, the first 45 minutes were sensantional. Bale and Ronaldo have been quiet so far. Will they show up now that we've restarted?
46'
HALF TIME: Real Madrid 2-2 Barcelona
45'
The second half is under way at the Santiago Bernabeu!

And... breathe. What a half of football! I doubt you'll see a better 45 minutes all season. Both teams have been going at it and will be disappointed they're not in front at the break. Benzema could have had about five! A compelling second half looms. Don't go anywhere!
45'
So close! Carvajal finds Benzema in the box with a great chipped cross, but the French striker heads across goal and inches past the post. That was very close to being 3-2. Benzema has had a mixed half. Has two. Could have had five!

In between the brawling, Messi overtook Di Stefano as the top scorer in the Clasico

44'

YELLOW CARDS: Pepe (Real Madrid), Cesc Fabregas (Barcelona)
43'
Flash point! In the midst of the celebrations Pepe and Fabregas have both gone down holding their faces. The referee has a decision to make, although replays show that both players are playing at it a bit.

GOAL! Real Madrid 2 Barcelona 2 (42 mins - Lionel Messi). And we're all square! Messi slaloms through a couple of challenges inside the box before squeezing a shot into the bottom corner. Great goal!

I can't stress enough how well Di Maria is playing. He's covering every blade of grass and i absolutely everywhere all at once.
39'
Pepe is following Messi wherever he goes, and so far it's a tactic that has worked for Real Madrid. The so-called greatest player of our generation has been kept very quiet by the Blancos backline.
38'
Ronaldo puts his studs down the back of Pique's heels, and a freekick is given. That looked a sore one. Bit of frustration from the Real Madrid winger.
37'
Ancelotti is berating Modric on the touchline. Not so ice cool from the guy they call the Ice Man in Spain. I think he's telling the Croatian midfielder to get closer to Xavi in the middle of the pitch.
36'
Neymar has now switched wings in an atempt to see more of the ball. Messi has been very quiet so far. We've hardly heard his name so far. How can Martino get his number 10 involved in the contest?
35'
Di Maria picked up that booking in the right back position, tracking Neymar. He's doing everything, everywhere! Barcelona can't escape him. Man of the Match so far, without any doubt.

YELLOW CARD: Angel Di Maria (Real Madrid)
33'
Di Mariahas has had more touches of the ball than any other Real Madrid player. And he only had two touches in the opening 10 minutes. That tells you how good he has been in the last 20 minutes or so.
32'
For the first time in the match, Barcelona are trying to slow down the game. They need to. They can't match Real Madrid if they were to continue playing at this pace.
31'
There's still no sign of the pace of this game slowing down. Di Maria is having the game of his life. He's giving Barcelona so many problems in the centre of midfield and on the left wing as well!
30'
Barcelona win another freekick about 25 yards but this time Xavi hits it. But the effort suffers the same fate as Messi's a few minutes earlier, hitting the ball and bouncing clear.
28'
Replays are showing that Ronaldo's freekick struck the arm of Fabregas. And the former Arsenal midfielder looked to move his arm into the direction of the ball too. Barca got away with one there!
27'
Ronaldo strikes a freekick into the wall, but the ball falls to Modric. But the Croatian midfielder gets a bit excited and slashes his half volley well over the crossbar.
26'
Off the line! Di Maria and Benzema AGAIN! The Argentine gets to the byline and digs out a cross for his French teammate, who takes a touch inside and side-foots towards the goal. He beats the keeper but Pique is back on the line, who turns it round the post!
25'
Messi lines up a freekick from about 25 yards out, but the wall does its job. And now Real Madrid come away on the break! This is fantastic entertainment!
24'
Incredible response from Real Madrid to going a goal behind. Di Maria has been superb and Benzema has scored two fantastic goals since missing that earlier chance. What. A. Game!
Real Madrid Goal

Right Footed - Bottom Right

23'

GOAL! Real Madrid 2 (23 mins - Karim Benzema) Barcelona 1. Oh my goodness! Di Maria and Benzema combine once again. The winger-come-midfielder crosses into the French striker, who takes a touch on his knee before slamming a volley home!
22'
Well this is rather strange. Di Maria is receiving treatment for a mystery injury. He went down after the celebrations and is looking somewhat pale. He's back on the pitch but doesn't look 100 percent.
21'
The Bernabeu is rocking! That was a superb header by Benzema, who made up for his earlier miss. The cross from Di Maria was brilliant, as was the build-up play from Bale. An excellent goal all-round.
20'

GOAL! Real Madrid 1 (20 mins - Karim Benzema) Barcelona 1. And we're level! Di Maria whips a great cross into the box for Benzema, who towers above everyone to head into the net. Valdes got a touch but the effort had too much power on it.
Real Madrid Goal

Header - Bottom Right

19'
Neymar gets on the goal-side of Pepe, who has to make up about 10 yards on the Brazilian to make the challenge, which he does in the end. The Barcelona attacker shoots into the sliding body of Pepe.
18'
Bale comes down the left side before squaring the ball into the centre for Benzema. But from about 25 yards the French striker shoots into the arms of Valdes. He could have taken the ball closer, there.
17'
It must be said that this game has lived up to the billing so far. An excellent contest that has been played at an intense speed. Both teams are going for it. Long may that continue!
16'
Di Maria has been excellent in these opening 15 minutes or so. He's really been a revelation for Real Madrid since moving into that central midfield position under Ancelotti.
15'
Big chance for Messi! Alba finds the number 10 through the centre of the pitch, with the Real Madrid offside trap failing. However, under pressure from Pepe Messi skews his shot wide of the target.
14'
That was a massive chance for Benzema. Much of the pre-match talk was about whether he would make this game, as he struggled with injury, but that was a shocking finish. We should be on level terms here.
13'
What a chance for Benzema! Di Maria beats about four Barcelona players, nutmegging Alves before squaring the ball to Benzema, who has time and space to pick his spot from eight yards. But he leans back and fires over the bar! Oh dear.
12'
For the first time tonight Bale has the chance to run at Barcelona, sprinting past about three opposition players before playing the ball to Benzema. The French striker cuts inside but his effort is weak and Valdes saves.
11'
It will be interesting to see how Real Madrid's midfield three deal with the Barcelona midfield five, or sometimes even six. Modric has been hugely impressive this season but this could be his biggest test yet.
10'
Real Madrid look slightly shocked that they are behind here, but they're slowing the game down and starting again, stringing a few passes together. Bale has yet to get involved in the contest.

Real look utterly shocked that Messi is dropping deep, for some reason

8'
How did Iniesta have so much space on that left side? Carvajal had completely left him and been drawn to Messi, who had the ball. The finish was emphatic though. Fantastic start for Barcelona!
7'

GOAL! Real Madrid 0 Barcelona 1 (7 mins - Andres Iniesta). Barca have opened the scoring! Messi feeds the ball out to Iniesta on the left channel, who has acres of space to run into and smash a left-footed strike into the top corner!
Barcelona Goal

Left Footed - Top Right

7'
Ronaldo falls to the floor again, and again it's under the challenge of Mascherano, and again the referee tells him to get up. There was certainly contact with that one though!
6'
And now Benzema has a half-chance after Bale won the ball back deep inside the opposition half, but the French striker scuffs his shot and the ball dribbles past the near post.
5'
First sight of goal for Barcelona, with the Catalans coming forward on the break after Ronaldo went down. But Neymar goes for a near post finish, when he should have gone across the keeper. Lopez saves comfortably.
4'
Ronaldo goes down under the challenge of Mascherano right on the edge of the box but the referee tells him to get up. The winger did seem to throw himself to the ground a bit easily.
4'
Since the last Clasico (which Barcelona won) Real Madrid have gone on a 31 game unbeaten run, with a 10 point swing taking place in the league standings. No doubt, Los Blancos are the team in form out the two.
3'
Real Madrid have started very brightly, with Neymar conceding possession deep inside his own half. However, Bale can't quite poke the ball through to Ronaldo and Barcelona breathe a sigh of relief.
2'
This game is huge for Barcelona. Their league hopes depends on the next 90 minutes. As Martino admitted before the game, they need three points tonight. Otherwise it could be over for them in La Liga.
1'
We're under way at the Santiago Bernabeu! It's Real Madrid v Barcelona. It's El Clasico!
19:57

19:50
From the Real Madrid perspective, Bale weighed in: "Now is the crunch time in the season, when things are won and lost so we need to keep our performances up and keep winning games. We will treat the game against Barcelona as just another match. We know they are close rivals but we want to win the three points on offer."
19:45
Martino on tonight's game: "It's probably our last chance to win the league. It would be really tough to make up seven points, or even four. There are very few points left to play for and the top teams don't tend to slip up much at this stage of the season. A draw won't be good enough. We need to win."
19:40
Here's a couple of statistics for you. Real Madrid have won just two of their last 11 league meetings with Barcelona. And Los Blancos have the chance to win two successive Clasicos at the Bernabeu for the first time since 2008.
19:30
As for Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti has named a settled side. This is largely the team that has seen Los Blancos go 31 games unbeaten since the last Clasico. Bale, Benzema and Ronaldo must be the most formidable front three in world football!
19:25
The big team news for Barcelona is that Neymar makes the starting lineup, with Pedro and Alexis Sanchez forced to settle for a place on the bench. Is the Brazilian fully fit? I suppose we'll find out.
19:20
TEAM NEWS: Real Madrid - Lopez, Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo, Alonso, Modric, Di Maria, Bale, Ronaldo, Benzema. /// Barcelona - Valdes, Alves, Mascherano, Pique, Alba, Busquets, Xavi, Fabregas, Iniesta, Neymar, Messi.

So this is the big one. The biggest game in world football. Real Madrid come into it four points clear of Barcelona with 10 games left to play in La Liga. You would think defeat for Tata Martino's men would end their title hopes.
