FULL TIME: Real Madrid 3-0 Levante
92'
Bale flashes a shot just inches past the post after driving at the Levante backline. He's looked dangerous tonight but just hasn't been able to find the net.
91'
This result will put Real Madrid three points clear at the top of La Liga, with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid fighting for second place. There's a Clasico in two weeks time. Could that be the biggest game of the season?
90'
Carvajal is being brought off on a stretcher here following a tackle by Juanfran. Ancelotti has made all his changes so Real Madrid will end the game with 10 men. Let's hope the Real Madrid right back is okay.
89'

How did that not go in? Marcelo teases a great cross to the back post where Ronaldo is lurking. He looks set to find the net but somehow plants his header on to the bar, with the ball bouncing down on to the line and away.
88'
Jese goes down on the edge of the Levante penalty area under the challenge of Vyntra but the referee tells the youngster to get up. Looking at replays, there wasn't much contact between the two players after all.
87'

Levante sub: David Barral OFF, Angel Rodriguez ON.
Levante Substitution
86'
Marcelo has been very impressive for Real Madrid tonight, although he's seen more of the ball that he perhaps normally would thanks to the free role he's been given by Ancelotti tonight.
85'
Bale has a shot blocked by Juanfran once again! The Welsh winger cuts inside off the right wing, as he does so often, and fires a shot at goal but the effort is blocked by he Levante defender.
84'
Levante are holding on for the full time whistle now. They're seeing very little of the ball and whenever they do get it clear, it's coming back on top of them almost instantly. It's all too easy for Real Madrid.
83'
Isco will be disappointed he hasn't hit the target. The former Malaga player is picked out on the edge of the box and after letting the ball drop he volleys toards goal but his eventual shot is blasted well over the bar.
82'

Real Madrid sub: Karim Benzema OFF, Jese Rodriguez ON.
Real Madrid Substitution
81'

GOAL! Real Madrid 3 (81 mins - Nikos Karampelas) Levante 0. Oh dear. Nikos turns the ball into his own net after a cross to the back post by Marcelo. He had time to deal with it as well!
Real Madrid Goal

Left Footed - Bottom Right

80'
Ronaldo teases a cross into the box from the byline on the right side but Benzema's touch lets him down, which is a shame because his movement at the near post was really good.
79'
Another good piece of goalkeeping from Navas. Di Maria surges into the box down the left side and looks for Ronaldo with a low across the face of goal but the Levante keeper gets down well to cut it out.
77'
That was quite incredible defending by Levante. They're not giving this up, even if the likelihood of a comeback in these final 15 minutes or so looks very slim.
76'
How haven't Real Madrid made it 3-0? First of all Navas makes a great save to deny Benzema on the volley. Then when Di Maria follows up the rebound Nikos makes a last ditch interception to block the shot.
75'

Real Madrid sub: Sergio Pinto OFF, Nagore ON.
Levante Substitution
Real Madrid Substitution
74'

Real Madrid sub: Luka Modric OFF, Isco ON.
73'

Benzema hits the bar! Di Maria plays a short corner to Carvajal, who drives a cross to the back post where three Real Madrid players are waiting unmarked. However, the French striker guides his header on to the bar.
72'
So can Real Madrid make the most of their man advantage? They look like they could score a few more before the night is out. It could be an opportunity to make a real statement of intent in the title race.
70'
Just before the changes Marcelo was presented with a good chance from the edge of the box, but after shaping to shoot with his right foot he guided the ball well over the bar. Should have done better.
Levante Substitution
Real Madrid Substitution
69'

Levante sub: Miguel Pallardo OFF, Issam El Adoua ON.
68'

Real Madrid sub: Raphael Varane OFF, Nacho Fernandez ON.
67'
It looks like Nacho might be coming on for Real Madrid. Could Varane be coming off? Or could Ramos be coming off for his own good, before he too gets shown a red card by the referee?
66'
Marcelo almost finds his second of the night! He shapes to cross from the left wing, but whether he means it or not he almost finds the far corner of Navas' net. Very close to making it 3-0.
65'
Levante are reduced to ten men! It was stupid tackle by Navarro, who came through the back of Ronaldo. He had no chance of winning the ball and halved the Real Madrid winger. He can't have many complaints about that decision.

RED CARD! David Navarro (Levante)
63'
Still no changes from Ancelotti, who is standing on the touchline with his hands in his pockets. Perhaps he's evaluating what subs to make. I'd expect to see Jese Rodriguez at some point tonight.
62'

YELLOW CARD: Miguel Pallardo (Levante)

61'
Ramos might have the yellow card he wanted but now he needs to be careful not to be sent off, because then he would miss the game against Barcelona altogether! He's walking on thin ice at the moment.
60'
Replays show that Real Madrid perhaps should have been awarded a penalty for a late tackle from Nikos on Bale. The ball was gone and the Welsh winger was flattened at the byline. The Levante player got lucky with that one.

Another good save from Navas! Benzema curls a shot from the edge of the box, looking for the top corner, but the Levante keeper pulls another good stop to keep the French striker at bay.

That Ronaldo's first assist for Marcelo since Feb 2011 [via @2010MisterChip ] Guess we can say now their tiff from last season fully over...

55'
Finally, Ramos is shown the yellow card he's been angling for all night. That means he will play against Barcelona in two weeks time with a clean slate. Of course, that's only what a cynic would think...
54'

YELLOW CARD: Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid)
53'
Juanfran blocks from Bale! The Welsh winger takes control of a cross at the back post but after cutting inside on to his left foot he smashes his effort against the Levante defender.
52'
This time Ramos leans into Barral with his arm, conceding a freekick inside his own half. And still the referee doesn't book the Real Madrid defender. I predict more Ramos fouls in the second half.
51'
Ronaldo has been slightly quiet so far tonight. He scored the opening goal but hasn't been involved in the game much. Perhaps that's something Ancelotti will try and change as the half goes on.
50'
That was a fantastic goal. And a great right footed finish from a left footed player. Real Madrid have a two goal lead and look good to return to the top of the Spanish league table.
49'

GOAL! Real Madrid 2 (49 mins - Marcelo) Levante 0. Wonderful goal by Marcelo! Ronaldo plays though the left back, who throws in a stepover to fool the defender and guides a right footed shot into the net.
Real Madrid Goal

Right Footed - Bottom Right

48'
Real Madrid come forward on the counter attack but Juanfran does well to deal with Benzema, making the challenge to stop the French striker in his tracks.
47'
Levante will be looking to keep the ball better in the second half. They struggled in midfield, but then most teams struggle against Alonso and Modric. And Di Maria isn't bad either.
47'
HALF TIME: Real Madrid 1-0 Levante
46'
There have been no changes from either side at the break. I'm sure Ancelotti would like to give a few of his fringe players some minutes later in the second half. Of course, they probably need at least another goal to do that.
46'

Real Madrid hit the post! The ball is crossed to the back post, where Ronaldo and Benzema are waiting. The French striker gets on the end of it but his header is tipped on to the post by Navas!
45'
We're back under way at the Santiago Bernabeu!
-
What did you make of the first half? Should Real Madrid be winning by more? Is Navas one of the best goalkeepers in La Liga? Tweet me (@grahamruthven)!
-
The only surprise from the first half is that Real Madrid aren't winning by more. Navas is keeping his team in the game, making a number of great saves in the opening 45 minutes. However, you'd expect Real Madrid to add to the scoreline after the break.
45'
One minute of stoppage time to be played at the end of the first half.
44'
Pinto has the chance to attack on the counter attack but Marcelo does well to stop the Levante midfielder from causing any real problem and in the end Real Madrid are awaded a freekick.
43'
Ramos really is trying to get a yellow card. It's blatantly obvious. This time he goes in with a high takle on Barral but once again the referee refuses to book the Real Madrid defender.
42'
Levante might be able to create problems with their set pieces, where they have a bit of height to send forward. However, in this case Pinto's delivery is poor and Lopez comes off his line to claim.
40'
Modric is starting to impose himself on the game now. Is the Croatian the best central midfielder in European football at the moment? I think he might be. He's excellent alongside Alonso.
39'
Real Madrid have a succession of corner kicks, but this one is too close to the Levante keeper, who does well to palm it away for another corner kick. That had the potential to be difficult but Navas dealt with it well.
38'
Benzema is doing his best to find good positions inside the penalty area when the ball is crossed into the box. He likes to peel away from his marker at the back post, looking for the volley.
37'
Ramos is throwing himself a bit. A cynic would say that he's trying to pick up a yellow card, which would allow him to play with a clean slate against Barcelona in the Clasico in two weeks time.
35'
Other than taking a set of studs to the knee, Varane has hardly been tested tonight. That could be quite a good thing as he continues his return from injury.
34'
Levante need half time now. They're holding on to this 1-0 scoreline. If they can get to the break they can regroup and come out for the second half with a new plan, because they need one.
33'

Ronaldo is played through on goal by Di Maria, who picks out a wonderful cross from the left wing. But just as the Real Madrid number seven looked set to take a shot he notices that the flag has been raised for offside.
32'
Just a reminder that a win tonight would take Real Madrid to the top of the La Liga table (as would a draw). Barcelona's slip up at Valladolid means they could go three points clear. This could be the weekend the title race shifts definitely in Real's favour.
31'
Juanfran barges Bale into the advertising boards for no apparent reason. Bale turns round and glares at the Levante defender, who gets a talking to from the referee.
30'
Ramos and Ronaldo almost manage to pick a way through the packed Levante defence, but after a neat one-two Vyntra comes out of his central position to make the clearance away from danger.
28'
Real Madrid are playing a lot of diagonal passe, even more than usual. They're bypassing the midfield quite a lot, which must be a tactic from Ancelotti. Not sure what he's trying to achieve from it, though.
27'
Mid-way through the first half and it's still 1-0 at the Bernabeu. I'm not sure how it's only 1-0 though. Real Madrid have had countless chances in front of goal, with Navas keeping the scoreline respectable.
26'
Ouch! Varane, who has just returned from a knee injury, takes a studded sole to the knee as he goes in for a tackle. I think it was Ivanschitz who made the challenge. It was very high and probably should've seen yellow.
25'
Real Madrid are seeing so much of the ball in the Levante half Marcelo seems to have completely left his place at left back. He's floating all over the place. At right wing, central midfield, everywhere.
24'
Navas is all that's between Levante and a cricket score at the moment. Real Madrid are looking very dangerous and Bale, Benzema and Ronaldo are all in top form at the moment.
23'
Another solid stop by Navas! Bale slots through Benzema, who is running into the right hand channel, but as he turns to shoot he finds Navas coming off his line to smother his eventual effort on goal.
22'
Half chance for Levante on the counter attack, but when the ball is worked to Barral his first touch lets him down, allowing Varane to come across and make the tackle before he can shoot at goal.
20'
Levante can't get out their own half. Real Madrid are pushing them further and further back into their own box. If the game stays like this the home team will rack up a few more goals, that's for sure.
18'
Strangely, Modric has struggled to get involved in the game so far, even with Real Madrid dominating. He's become a key figure for Real Madrid in the centre of midfield this season.
17'
First sight of goal for the away team, but after cutting inside onto his favoured side Ivanschitz shoots over the bar when the target was open. He should have tested Lopez in the Real Madrid goal.
16'
Decent stop by Navas. Di Maria is slotted through the Levante defence but with the angle tightening Navas comes off his line to smother the shot from the midfielder. Good goalkeeping.
15'
The pressure is non-stop for Real Madrid. They have their sights set on a big scoreline tonight. They could put out a statement with a big win, and of course claim top spot in the process.
14'
Bale drives at the Levante defence, cutting inside off the right wing onto his left foot. However, he flashes his shot just past the post. That would have been a very nice goal by the Welsh winger.
13'

Benzema's blushes are spared by the linesman! Bale picks out the French striker with a wonderful scooped pass over the top but Benzema smashes his volley well over the bar. But the flag is up for offside.
12'
I should mention that Ronaldo is now the top scorer in La Liga, with 24 league goals for the season. The Ballon d'Or winner doesn't look like slowing down in 2014.
11'

GOAL! Real Madrid 1 (11 mins - Cristiano Ronaldo) Levante 0. Ronaldo scores the opener for Real Madrid, rising so much higher than anyone else to head home Di Maria's corner kick. That's his 38th goal of the season.
Real Madrid Goal

Header - Bottom Right

10'
It's constant pressure from the home team in these opening 10 minutes or so. They look in the mood tonight and aren't allowing Levante any kind of possession in the opposition half.
9'
Indeed, the Levante keeper is one of the highest rated young keepers in Spanish football at the moment and he's already pulled off a couple of decent shots. Can he keep out Real Madrid for the entire game?

Keylor Navas show started already... spectacular flying stop from Ronaldo's first time volley from Di Maria driven cross...

7'
That pass by Di Maria was wonderful. He faked to shoot before spotting the run of Ronaldo and finding him with a chipped pass to the back post. Very good play from the winger turned central midfielder.
6'
Good save by Navas! Di Maria chips a ball into Ronaldo, who has found some space off his marker, but his volleyed strike is blocked by the Levante keeper. Good play all round.
5'
Carvajal is seeing a lot of the ball on the right wing and Levante seem to be allowing his a lot of the ball. He's got a lot of space to drive into in the right back position.
4'
Real Madrid have made a really positive start to this game. They want to make amends for their draw in the Madrid derby last week. I can see them racking up a few against Levante tonight.
3'
Carvajal drives to the byline down the right side before firing a cross into the box, where Ronaldo and Benzema are waiting, but Juanfran gets his head on it to turn it round his own post.
2'
So can Real Madrid return to the top of La Liga tonight? Atletico Madrid took top spot with their win over Celta Vigo last night but with Barca losing at Valladolid Real can go three points clear.
