    • 90+3' FULL TIME. Madrid coast to victory in the end despite going down to that early goal. Madrid are now eight clear of Barca at the top.
    • 90+2' Ronaldo with a ridiculous effort that flies high into the night air. His job is done though.
    • 90+1' We will have two minutes of added time.
    • 90' Lafita bends a shot wide when picking the ball up 25 yards from goal. Not a great effort it must be said.
    • 89' Marcelo looks to be feeling a hamstring injury, and if he is would surely be advised to come off for the final minutes, even if it would leave Madrid down to ten men.
    • 88' The energy has just dropped out of this game as Madrid seem content with three. You could tell from Mourinho's substitutions that they felt the job was done.
    • 86' The Bernabeu breaks into a smattering of applause as Real knock the ball around with ease.
    • 84' Callejon forced into taking evasive action when turning the ball behind at the back post for a corner. Granero then clears from the set-piece.
    • 82' Those substitutions have robbed this game of momentum, which is a shame, and the chances have dried up as a result.
    • 80' Madrid are just stroking the ball around at present, toying with Zaragoza really.
    • 78' Madrid have had a pretty handy 72 per cent of the possession so far tonight, if you are into that sort of thing.
    • 76' Ronaldo latches onto a loose ball to get clear on goal and then touches the ball the other side of goalkeeper Roberto. It appears as though the forward just has to tap into an empty net but Paulo Da Silva comes across and after contact between the two the ref rules Ronaldo is guilty of the foul.
    • 74' Garcia replaced by Abraham Minero as Zaragoza make their final change.
    • 72' Now it is Benzema's chance to get a rest as he is replaced by Higuain.
    • 72' Big chance for Zaragoza! Paredes plays in Postiga with a fine through-ball down the middle of the pitch and the striker holds off Carvalho before testing Casillas with a firm effort.
    • 71' Ronaldo and Benzema stretch play by stroking the ball across the front of the box and Callejon fires in a low effort that is too close to Roberto.
    • 70' A rare attack from Zaragoza ends with Lafita taking aim from 25 yards. However, he gets under the ball and it flies high and wide.
    • 69' Lafita chops down Altintop from behind with a pretty crude challenge and is lucky to avoid a booking.
    • 68' Kaka comes off having enjoyed a goal and an assist and he is replaced by Jose Maria Callejon.
    • 67' Aranda is replaced by Pablo Barrera as Zaragoza make another change.
    • 65' So, as things stand, Madrid will open up an eight-point lead at the top of La Liga. Barcelona play Villarreal immediately after this match.
    • 63' Ronaldo appears to have injured himself when committing a foul on Dujmovic. He is up and wincing and then gets shown a yellow card for his troubles.
    • 62' Madrid replace Alonso with Lass Diarra, presumably to give the Spain international a rest and tighten things up.
    • 60' Good defending from Carvalho as he intercepts a cross and clears the ball over his own bar. Garcia's corner is palmed away by Casillas.
    • 59' Well that is basically game over, it's now a question of how many Madrid can get.
    • 57' GOAL! Real Madrid 3-1 Zaragoza! Oezil, who has been fantastic in the second half, takes Madrid further away from the visitors. Granero plays the ball to Kaka and his first-time pass finds the German, who lashes home a fierce effort from a tight angle to beat the keeper at his near post.
    • 55' Ruben Micael replaced by Helder Postiga.
    • 54' Oezil influential again as he finds Kaka to the left of the box. The Brazilian tries to find Ronaldo at the back post but his team-mate has come to the centre.
    • 53' Stat from Opta: "Real Madrid scored 67 goals in their first 19 league games, a record for any team in the Spanish top flight."
    • 51' Ronaldo was level when the cross was played so the goal was kosher. He now has 24 goals in 20 La Liga games this season.
    • 50' GOAL! Real Madrid 2-1 Zaragoza! It's that man Ronaldo who puts Madrid in front. Granero slips a pass out wide to Oezil and when the cross comes in Ronaldo is flirting with an offside position. However the goal stands as he sweeps home from close range.
    • 49' Granero finds space 20 yards from goal but his effort curls into the gloves of Roberto, who has no problem saving the shot from the Spaniard.
    • 48' Replays show that the challenge got plenty of the ball and it wasn't a penalty.
    • 47' Kaka has a big claim for a penalty turned down! The Brazilian turns superbly in the box and appears to get dragged to ground as he tries to get away from his man.
    • 46' KICK OFF!

    • 45+1' HALF TIME. Madrid have been far from their best but Kaka got them back into the game after Lafita's early goal.
    • 45' We will have a minimum of one additional minute.
    • 45' Altintop fires in an awful effort that soars high and wide. Not his finest hour.
    • 43' Pepe with a big error as he fluffs a cross and kicks the ball against Ricardo Carvalho. However, Madrid manage to scramble the ball clear.
    • 41' Zaragoza find space in the final third and Aranda meets a cross from the left unmarked. However, he is at full stretch and can't get the power he needs on his header.
    • 40' Benzema sneaks in at the back post to try and volley home a cross but his marker does enough to put off the Frenchman.
    • 38' Stat from Infostrada on Twitter: "This was Kaka's 19 #LaLiga goal for #RMA. #RealMadrid have won all previous 15 LaLiga matches in which he scored."
    • 37' It is Ronaldo who takes the set-piece and his firmly-struck effort flies about a metre wide. Not a bad hit.
    • 35' Maurizio Lanzaro leads with his arm when leaping to challenge Ronaldo and gives away a free kick in a very dangerous area right in front of goal.
    • 34' It looked only a matter of time before Madrid got back into this game. They have created a number of decent chances, even if they haven't been approaching anything like top gear.
    • 32' GOAL! Real Madrid 1-1 Real Zaragoza! Kaka makes amends for his miss when drawing Madrid level. The Brazilian darted into a pocket of space to collect a pass from Xabi Alonso and opened up his body to direct his shot under Roberto.
    • 30' Another chance for Kaka! Marcelo's cross to Ronaldo is deflected into the path of Kaka and he looks well placed to stroke the ball home, only to lose his footing and skew his shot wide.
    • 29' Ronaldo in the thick of things again. Kaka pings in a cross from the left and as Ronaldo leaps he is caught off balance, sending his header off target as a result.
    • 28' Ronaldo lets fly from range after Apono gives the ball away in midfield but his effort is blocked.
    • 27' What a chance! Oezil swings in a cross, Kaka flicks it on with the back of his head and watches the ball fly inches past the far post. So close.
    • 26' Javi Paredes goes into the book for a cynical foul on Granero.
    • 25' For a second it looks as though Aranda has a clear run on goal after slipping away from his marker but the Zaragoza forward is rightly flagged offside.
    • 24' Stat from Opta: "The current leaders have scored the most second-half goals in La Liga this season (40), Zaragoza the fewest (six). Real Madrid’s substitutes have scored 10 goals this season in the league, more than any other side."
    • 23' Excellent work from Marcelo. He presses an opponent to win the ball back and then runs onto a Kaka pass to almost win a penalty. Roberto gets some of the ball so it is a corner and Zaragoza just manage to scramble the ball clear.
    • 21' Oezil picks out Benzema with a square pass and the striker gets horrible contact with his attempted shot, spooning the ball up into the air.
    • 20' Just to reiterate, La Liga's bottom club are currently winning at the home of leaders Real Madrid.
    • 19' Pepe slips a pass through the middle of the park to Granero, who holds off his marker, shifts the ball out of his feet and lashes a shot narrowly off target from 20 yards out.
    • 17' Granero hurls himself to the floor when looking for a penalty but no one is convinced.
    • 15' Pepe tries a long ball through the middle to Ronaldo but it is easily cut out. The forward throws up his arms in frustration.
    • 14' Benzema whips in a cross from the left after Madrid string together a decent move but it is too close to goalkeeper Roberto and he grabs the ball comfortably.
    • 13' Stat from Opta: "Prior to tonight, Manolo Jimenez’s men had scored just two goals in their last eight league games combined, while only Granada (12) had scored fewer all season (14). "
    • 12' GOAL! Real Madrid 0-1 Real Zaragoza! Unbelievable scenes. Lafita taps the ball home from close range after Madrid are caught short from a quick free kick. Aranda broke free and squared for his team-mate. Horribly slack defending.
    • 11' Apono tries a frankly outrageous, searching pass out to the left wing but can't find a Zaragoza shirt as he overcooks it. At the other end, Roberto Gago cuts out another cross from Ronaldo to Benzema.
    • 10' Stats from Opta: "Zaragoza are on a run of 12 league games without a win, and are three games off equalling their poorest-ever top flight run (15 games in 42/43). Zaragoza are the joint-poorest away side in the league this season, taking just three points (all draws) from 30 available."
    • 9' Oezil is playing down the right and Ronaldo stationed out on the left by the way, with Kaka tucked in behind Benzema.
    • 8' What a chance! Ronaldo pulls out a couple of stepovers before delivering an outstanding cross to the back post where Karim Benzema is lurking. However instead of nodding it in he instead heads back across goal, only to see a lack of Madrid shirts.
    • 6' Luis Garcia is chopped down by Marcelo by the far touchline and wants a free kick. He doesn't get it.
    • 4' Madrid seem to have settled down but then Granero is guilty of another poor pass, requiring Xabi Alonso to rescue the situation.
    • 3' Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored a hat-trick at Zaragoza earlier in the season, wins his first free kick when being body-checked to the ground. It is Ronaldo who takes the set-piece in that unmistakeable style of his and his fierce shot flies wide of the far post.
    • 2' Pepe is then forced to produce a fine saving tackle as Zaragoza get another little sniff of action. Madrid won't be very impressed with this sloppy start.
    • 1' Granero with a loose pass in midfield and Zaragoza pick the ball up and test Iker Casillas with a shot from 20 yards.
    • 1' KICK OFF!
    • 19.00 Sergio has this to say on Twitter: "hey, i predict Real Madrid to win 6-1 or 6-0 against Zaragoza, with Ronaldo scoring a hatrick" Get in contact on Twitter
    • 19.00 Some good stats from Opta: "Real Madrid have only ever lost four league games at home to Zaragoza (W47 D6). Jose Mourinho’s side have won 14 of their last 15 league games. However, aside from Barcelona, Real Zaragoza were the last side to win at the Bernabeu in the league (3-2 in April 2011). Real Madrid scored 67 goals in their first 19 league games, a record for any team in the Spanish top flight."

    • 18.55 While Madrid were eliminated from the cup by their great rivals the manner of their performance did a lot to strengthen the position of coach Jose Mourinho, who had been under pressure following the first-leg defeat at home. A win against Zaragoza tonight will take them eight points clear of Barcelona, who play at Villarreal later.
    • 18.50 Hamit Altintop makes his first start since joining Madrid and plays at right-back in place of the suspended Sergio Ramos, while Esteban Granero comes into the starting XI alongside Xabi Alonso after an appearance as a substitute in Wednesday's clasico - a 2-2 draw with Barca that saw Madrid eliminated from the Copa del Rey.
