    Time:90'
    • Middlesbrough
    • Bolton Wanderers
    • 90+4' That's it! A tremendous performance from Bolton and they go 16th - two places clear of the relegation zone!
    • 90+3' Stewart Downing blazes a shot over and that is surely that. The travelling fans are in raptures!
    • 90+1' Three minutes of added time to be played and Bolton look comfortable.
    • 89' Fury from Afonso Alves, who falls victim to a questionable offside decision!
    • 87' You never want to tempt fate, but from here it looks like Middlesbrough are finished. A weak long-range shot from Rochemback is stopped easily by Al-Habsi.
    • 84' Naughty naughty! Pogatetz thinks he has won a free-kick but is told it is only a throw, and the Austrian is lucky not to be booked after throwing the ball away.
    • 81' Boro are trying to bomb forward but it just isn't working for them this afternoon. Amazing when you think how well they started.
    • 79' Boateng's long-range strike is deflected twice on the way through but Al-Habsi clings gratefully on to it!
    • 78' Johnson has stayed down rather unnecessarily, which is the kind of thing you might expect if Boro were winning. Not sure what's going on there.
    • 77' Foul by Campo on Johnson, and that is both a yellow card and a dangerous free-kick.
    • 75' Aliadiere latches onto a long pass by Rochemback and volleys, but his effort is straight at Al-Habsi!
    • 74' Fabio Rochemback comes on for Andrew Taylor as Gareth Southgate seeks some inspiration.
    • 71' Alves lines up a 25-yard free kick and smashes it into the thighs of the wall.
    • 69' Cahill is well forward and wins a header, but his goal attempt lacks power. With the white patch on his head following that cut, he looks a lot like Gavin McCann.
    • 67' Wheater of all people dribbles upfield and takes a shot, left-footed, from distance. It moves in the air but Al-Habsi is equal to it.
    • 64' There's the change from Gareth Southgate - Adam Johnson on for Tuncay. You would imagine Johnson will go to the right side of midfield with Aliadiere moving up front.
    • 63' Well, Boro might have nothing to play for, but they still don't want to get turned over at home by an average Bolton side. Can they respond?
    • 61' Well, you have to say that was coming. Bolton have had much the better of the second half and as things stand are moving OUT of the relegation zone!
    • 60' GOAL!!!! BOLTON LEAD!! Gavin McCann!! He stabs it in from close range after Turnbull does brilliantly to turn away Cahill's header!
    • 59' GUTHRIE!! Slag a man off and he nearly scores a brilliant goal!! His chip is cleared off the line and Taylor's follow-up goes off the post for a corner!
    • 58' Danny Guthrie gives the ball away again. Bolton would probably be better off with Woody Guthrie, and he's been dead for 45 years.
    • 56' Here's El-Hadji Diouf! He replaces the stricken Rasiak, and that looks like an excellent change from here. Despite hitting the bar, the Pole did not have a great game.
    • 55' A Downing cross from the left hits McCann's left hand but referee Wiley turns away a massive penalty appeal! It doesn't look deliberate so probably the right decision.
    • 54' Crazy! Now Rasiak and Cahill (again!) have to go off for treatment because of head injuries. What is going on?
    • 52' Now Nolan goes close!! Guthrie crosses low from the left and the Bolton skipper hits a first time shot straight at Turnbull. A yard either side and that was 1-0!
    • 51' Off the bar!! Rasiak gets a glancing header to the corner and it lands on the top of the crossbar!
    • 50' Bang! Matty Taylor cracks a 30-yard volley that may well be going wide but Turnbull has to make sure.
    • 49' Well, that is not the finest hour of either George Boateng or Julio Arca, both of whom are left for (almost) dead by Gavin McCann. He wins a corner that leads to a shot from Campo which is straight at Turnbull.
    • 48' Does Arca haul his man over in the box? The referee says no and he is almost certainly right so to do.
    • 47' Time for Jlloyd Samuel to launch another long throw into the Boro area. This one is flicked on to Rasiak who cannot get a shot in but Boro make a real meal of clearing it.
    • 46' Right then, second half under way. No changes from either side at the break (Cohen went off very late in the first half), which means a Lazarene recovery from Jeremie Aliadiere.
    • 45' It is half-time at last, and there is no score at the Riverside. After a rip-roaring first 10 minutes it has been very disappointing stuff.
    • 45+6' That's the end of Cohen's afternoon. He looked groggy as he was led away, and Danny Guthrie replaces him.
    • 45+5' It's like a war film here, as Tamir Cohen and Gary Cahill both go off with bleeding heads following a mass coming-together in the Bolton area.
    • 45+4' A Boro corner is cleared as far as the unmarked Boateng, whose shot seems to be stopped by a Bolton hand - O'Brien's. No penalty though!
    • 45+3' Taylor shoots from the right side of the box. It is a decent hit but goes straight down Turnbull's throat.
    • 45+2' Bolton's biggest danger has been JLloyd Samuel's long throws from the left and he tries another... cleared with relative ease this time.
    • 45+1' Four minutes of added time to be played with Boro still down to 10 men.
    • 45' That looks very much like the end of Jeremie Aliadiere's afternoon, although Gareth Southgate might prefer to see it through to half-time without making a change.
    • 43' Steinsson whacks Aliadiere in the ankles and the Frenchman stays on the ground. A good dose of the magic spray doesn't seem to make much difference...
    • 42' You'd have to think Megson will want to bring El Hadji Diouf off the bench at some point. A draw is OK for Bolton but they haven't looked much like scoring and the Senegalese winger should at least be guaranteed to annoy Boro.
    • 40' A long ball into the Boro box pinballs around but nobody knows much about it and the ball ends up with Turnbull.
    • 37' Tamir Cohen looks more like Sacha Baron Cohen as he belts an off-balance volley high over the bar.
    • 35' Taylor hits Rasiak with a long diagonal ball but the Pole is adjudged to have used his arm to control it. Well, more than adjudged really. It was blatant.
    • 33' Alves turns away from O'Brien and looks to shoot but Cahill arrives in the nick of time to scoot the ball out of harm's way.
    • 31' Gary Cahill has a contender for Worst Cross Ever, booming one from the left side almost out on the full.
    • 30' A Samuel long throw is nodded into the path of TAYLOR!! His low shot is saved by the feet of Turnbull and Boro scramble it away for a corner.
    • 28' Yikes! We are treated to a close-up of Kevin Davies and his bandaged hand. He is both suspended and injured today, so good timing in a way.
    • 26' Gary Cahill goes down clutching his head after an aerial challenge. A clash of heads with Pogatetz but nothing untoward there.
    • 24' An Arca shot comes off Campo and goes for a corner that Downing will take. Pogatetz heads it straight up in the air and Bolton eventually win a throw.
    • 23' Steve Gibson must have got out the wrong side of bed this morning. He sits grumpily in a large area of empty seats (which, come to think of it, may have something to do with his bad mood).
    • 21' Well, I said Matty Taylor should get in the game.. He does so by hacking at Luke Young's ankles and earning himself a talking-to from referee Wiley.
    • 19' Matthew Taylor has done basically nothing since his January move from Portsmouth, and is in an advanced left-wing position today. About time he smacked in one of his trademark 35-yarders.
    • 17' After that great start, Middlesbrough have just reverted to hoofing it upfield. The commentator on our Italian field ends a long, incomprehensible (to me, at least) sentence with the words "John Terry leadership". Well, if he can go off on a tangent, so can I.
    • 15' Good news for Bolton fans - Liverpool reserves have just gone a goal up at Fulham, Jermaine Pennant with that one. Meanwhile Wigan are on terms with Tottenham and Reading have already lost.
    • 13' Emanuel Pogatetz gets a taste of his own medicine as Grzegorz Rasiak brings him down from behind. The Austrian escapes unscathed, and referee Alan Wiley keeps his cards in his pocket.
    • 11' Somebody make a challenge!! Jeremie Aliadiere is not noted for his dribbling but he is making mincemeat of Bolton down the right, with his opponents just backing off. This is ugly.
    • 9' Tuncay rides a challenge and plays a through ball down the right for Aliadiere. He pulls it back for ALVES!!! Tipped over again by Al Habsi!! Another great stop!
    • 8' Gary Megson's men have weathered the storm and silenced what was a surprisingly raucous Teesside crowd, even though the ground is some way below capacity.
    • 6' Bolton finally have a decent spell of possession and get a much-needed chance to alleviate some pressure.
    • 4' Al Habsi to the rescue again! He's making me eat my words. Aliadiere centres low from the right and Tuncay's close-range shot is parried! Boro are all over the visitors!
    • 3' You just look at this Bolton team and wonder if they really have what it takes to stay up. Rasiak, Cohen, Al Habsi... you have to doubt their pedigree. The sale of Nicolas Anelka will surely go down as a massive plunder if the Trotters are relegated.
    • 2' Great save Al-Habsi!! Wheater volleys goalwards from the corner and the Saudi Arabian keeper claws it over! Then Arca fires just over! Great start from Middlesbrough.
    • 1' Game on! Boro are immediately on the attack and Alves nearly gets a sniff of goal before Samuel hacks the ball away.
