    Time:90'
    • Sunderland
    • West Bromwich Albion
    • 90+2' That's full-time and Sunderland have won emphatically against West Brom, 4-0. What a result for the caretaker manager Ricky Sbragia.
    • 90+1' Zuiverloon, who has not enjoyed one of his best afternoons, whips in a fine ball across the Sunderland six-yard box, but inexplicably, no-one is there to meet it.
    • 90' Just the two minutes will be added by Mason at the end of this second half, and the game has petered out almost entirely in the closing stages.
    • 88' Scott Carson picks up a back-pass from Meite to the uproar of the home fans, but referee Lee Mason is unmoved.
    • 86' The tempo to the game has really dropped now as Sunderland are happy to absorb pressure and seem reluctant to press forward, and who can blame them now?
    • 83' A dangerous free-kick on the edge of the Sunderland box is wasted by Borja Valero. He really should have at least tested Martin Fulop, but he drilled it straight into the wall.
    • 81' Andy Reid receives a deserved standing ovation as he is replaced by Grant Leadbitter, after a superb performance.
    • 80' West Brom are enjoying a good spell of pressure and this time Kenwyne Jones is the man who makes a fine clearance in the box.
    • 78' Danny Collins does very well to clear under pressure in the Sunderland six-yard box after a cross was whipped in from the left by Jonathan Greening.
    • 75' West Brom have looked a markedly better side since the introduction of Roman Bednar, with his aerial presence, but it is too little, too late.
    • 72' Carlos Edwards showcases his fearsome pace by skinning Paul Robinson down the right and dinking a lovely cross, which is just too high for Andy Reid rushing in. If Kenwyne had been there, it would have been a certain goal!
    • 69' Craig Beattie comes on for Luke Moore and immediately has a chance to make an impact, skying his shot from the edge of the area, after Bednar had knocked a header into his path.
    • 66' Two near-misses for Sunderland as Kenwyne Jones jinks around Meite on the edge of the area and brings a sharp stop from Carson, before Reid strikes the follow-up narrowly over the bar.
    • 63' Talking of Ricky Sbragia, never has a man looked so smug sitting on the touchline since Jose Mourinho. Who can blame him, though? He has really taken to management, if today's performance is anything to go by.
    • 60' A decent chance falls for Roman Bednar, as the striker ghosts in behind Anton Ferdinand to head wide from Jonathan Greening's cross.
    • 58' Ricky Sbragia uses his side's comfortable standing in this game to give Carlos Edwards a run-out at the expense of the excellent Steed Malbranque, who receives a raptuous reception.
    • 55' A glorious chance goes begging for Sunderland to make it five as Cisse streaks through on goal but lifts his shot over the bar with only Carson to beat.
    • 52' There is an almighty tussel on halfway after a challenge between Paul Robinson and Kenwyne Jones. The defender is eventually given a yellow card for leading with his elbow after a mass crowd of players convened to push each other.
    • 49' What an abysmal start for substitute Bednar, and for West Brom in general. This could become a rout, if it is not classed as one already!
    • 46' GOAL!! Cisse drills his penalty straight down the middle with real venom and Sunderland have started the second half like they finished the first - it is now 4-0! The penalty was awarded after substitute Roman Bednar handled in the box as he challenged with Danny Collins.
    • 46' The second half kicks off, and within seconds we have immediate action. Sunderland win a penalty and Cisse has the chance to get a deserved goal, and his side's fourth! Tony Mowbray has made a double change: Do-Heon Kim and Roman Bednar, have replaced Chris Brunt and James Morrison.
    • 45+2' That's half-time and a buoyant Sunderland side stride off the wet pitch at The Stadium of Light to a standing ovation from the home fans - it's 3-0!
    • 45' Two minutes to be added in this first half by referee Lee Mason, and it cannot come quick enough for the visitors.
    • 44' A superb curling cross by Malbranque down the right is begging to be finished by a Sunderland striker, but both Cisse and Jones were mysteriously absent on this occassion.
    • 42' West Brom manager Tony Mowbray looks utterly stunned down on the touchline, arms crossed. It will not be a nice place to be, in The Baggies' dressing-room at half-time.
    • 40' GOAL!! Sunderland give the scoreline an emphatic look with a third, thanks to the head of Andy Reid, of all people! Usually the provider himself, Reid met Malbranque's cross at the back post perfectly.
    • 37' While Jones has scored both Sunderland goals, it is Cisse who is doing most of the damage against The Baggies' back-four, his pace almost gets him through against Carson again, but his touch escapes him.
    • 35' Chris Brunt attempts two speculative long-range drives, but the first is blocked by Nosworthy, and the second is gathered comfortably by Fulop.
    • 32' The play is still in Sunderland's half predominantly, but West Brom do not look like creating anything, with Luke Moore increasingly isolated up-front.
    • 29' West Brom, through Valero in particular, are beginning to edge their way back into the contest, and Luke Moore is still looking sharp when the Baggies use his pace.
    • 26' The game has understandably deteriorated briefly into a scrappy affair, as both sets of players gather their breath after the last few minutes' chaos.
    • 23' GOAL!! Unbelievable, Sunderland and Jones have scored again! The visitors had barely kicked-off, before Djibril Cisse ran at their defence and drew a double-save from Scott Carson, leaving Jones to tap-in his second in as many minutes!
    • 22' GOAL!! Sunderland have taken the lead and it's that man, Kenwyne Jones, who has grabbed it, heading home from Andy Reid's pin-point cross.
    • 21' The home side are enjoying a good spell of pressure now, with Kieran Richardson instrumental in the middle of midfield, and Kenwyne Jones looking dangerous.
    • 18' At the other end, Sunderland come close through Djibril Cisse in the best chance of the game so far; the striker attempting to head home Steed Malbranque's cross, but directing it wide.
    • 16' Incidentally, Martin Fulop has conceded goals in every match he has played for Sunderland this season, but it has to be questioned whether West Brom have the firepower in attack to maintain the keeper's poor record.
    • 13' West Brom are pressing again, this time through Borja Valero, whose jinking run and cross finds Moore, but the striker's header is tame.
    • 10' Danny Collins gives his keeper Martin Fulop a hospital back-pass, under pressure from James Morrison, but Fulop does well to keep his composure and clear.
    • 8' Phil Bardsley enjoys a good run down the right for The Black Cats, but his cross is poorly controlled by Djibril Cisse in the penalty area.
    • 6' West Brom have started the brighter in their lurid yellow shirts, but Kieran Richardson is beginning to get his foot on the ball on his return.
    • 3' Luke Moore has already begun the match in a typically energetic fashion, tearing down either flank to retrieve optimistic through balls from Jonathan Greening.
    • 1' The first half is underway at The Stadium of Light and both teams will be desperate to secure a vital three points - it should be an enthralling game.
    • - Sunderland caretaker boss, Ricky Sbragia, makes four changes, including the return of Kieran Richardson as captain. Kenwyne Jones, Nyron Nosworthy and Teemu Taino are the other players to be drafted back in. For their visitors, West Brom, Tony Mowbray replaces the injured Ishmael Miller with fellow striker Luke Moore.
    • - Welcome to this Premier League encounter between Sunderland and West Brom at the Stadium of Light. The Black Cats will be looking to end a three-game losing streak and move out of the relegation zone against the bottom-placed Baggies.
