    Time:90'
    • Blackburn Rovers
    • Sunderland
    • 90'+3 It is! All over at Ewood and it ends all square with Blackburn probably the happier, considering they played half of the match with 10 men.
    • 90'+1 This one looks like it's headed towards a stalemate...
    • 89' Three minutes of added time to be played...
    • 88' BENT! Oooh! Another chance for the England striker! This time he directs a header down towards goal, but it's straight at the keeper!
    • 87' Zenden fires at goal! He strikes it well enough, but it's just high and wide of the mark!
    • 86' Benjani was forced off with a head injury - he was unsteady on his feet, according to reports.
    • 84' Dunn now bursts forward... he falls to the ground, but he's looking for that and referee Probert isn't having any of it!
    • 83' GYAN! Great effort, a brilliant curler! But Robinson is equal to it!
    • 82' ZENDEN! Oooh! What a chance! The Dutchman is free at the near post to direct a header on target, but it's straight at Robinson!
    • 81' Diouf (Mame Biram) comes on to replace Benjani.
    • 80' Benjani has come off for some treatment... he came out of that challenge with Mignolet rather worse off
    • 78' Blackburn have another chance to get a ball into the Sunderland box now.... Pedersen takes it... it almost falls to Benjani, but Mignolet pounces on it in the end!
    • 76' Zenden immediately gets into the action, taking a corner, but it's cleared by the Blackburn defence. Bramble of all people ends up firing in a volleyed shot from the edge of the area, but needless to say, it goes well over.
    • 75' Here comes that change.... Malbranque is the man to come off for Zenden.
    • 74' Bolo Zenden is preparing to come on for Sunderland....
    • 73' Chance for Benjani! He fashions it himself, ducking in between two Sunderland defenders, but his shot is wayward and over the bar!
    • 71' The rain is coming down harder now, with just under 20 minutes remaining for Sunderland to take advanatge of their man extra.
    • 69' A roar of expectation goes up around Ewood as Rovers come forward with Diouf... but that's a great challenge by Bramble to break up the attack!
    • 68' Benjani and Nzonzi rise to get on the end of a long Pedersen throw but Mignolet comes out of the duel on top....
    • 67' Sunderland will now look to Gyan for a way through the Blackburn defence... and already he looks up for the fight.
    • 66' Chance for Sunderland as Bent puts Robinson under real pressure... Malbranque looks to loft the loose ball into the back of the net with Robinson in no man's land... over the bar!
    • 65' And Blackburn make a double change, Benjani and Dunn coming on for Kalinic and Salgado.
    • 64' Gyan comes on for Sunderland, with Onuoha the man sacrificed.
    • 63' Elmohamady attempts a backheel, but it doesn't come off.
    • 62' Bardsley looks to take on Salgado, but the Spanish veteran slides in to make a clean challenge on the Salford-born Scotland international.
    • 60' Sunderland have had only 30 shots on target in the league this season – fewer than any other club in the division.
    • 59' Henderson looks to switch play to the other flank... Salgado gets there first to break up the move.
    • 58' The rain has started up again... it looks like David Dunn is going to come on for Rovers.
    • 57' Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce has lost six of his previous 12 Premier League matches against clubs managed by Steve Bruce, winning on four occasions.
    • 56' Surely that's Blackburn's one hope tonight... just pump up a free-kick and hope someone gets on the end of it. Actually, wasn't that their gameplan from the off?
    • 55' Another long punt forward into teh Sunderland box has the visitors in a bit of a tizz as Mignolet comes and fails to claim.... it could go anywhere! It ends up going behind for a corner!
    • 54' Sunderland have had six efforts on goal now, to Blackburn's six.
    • 53' That's two Bent should have had tonight, although that second one was far less straight forward.
    • 52' BENT AGAIN! Oooh! He comes across his marker to meet Malbranque's cross but his effort goes wide of the mark! What a chance!
    • 51' Elmohamady sends over a cross as Sunderland press once again... it's over Bent's head this time though and the move breaks down.
    • 50' But here come Blackburn... the ball falls kindly to Olsson, but he blazes high over the bar. Poor.
    • 49' Understandably, Sunderland have started the second half in control of the game.
    • 48' Henderson and Bent are over it... Bent takes it, but straight into the wall.
    • 47' Malbranque is tripped on the edge of the box... could be danger here for Blackburn.
    • 46' Back under way at Ewood Park! No changes to tell you about....
    • 45'+5 There goes the whistle to bring to an end the first half! High drama at Ewood Park at the end of the opening period. It's goalless, but Blackburn will now have to play an entire half with just 10 men.
    • 45'+5 It's teed up for Bardsley! Blocked by the wall.... BENT! Ooh! Just wide of the post!
    • 45'+3 It's a red card for Samba! Rovers down to 10 men! It's a fair decision... Welbeck was clean through on goal after the big defender's heavy touch gave away the ball... but no penalty! Free-kick just outside the box... again, probably the right decision.
    • 45'+2 Trouble here for Blackburn as Samba tussles with Welbeck, right on the edge of the box... could be a penalty! The referee has to consult with his linesman before he makes his decision...
    • 45' Nothing doing this time though... two minutes of added time to be played.
    • 44' Welbeck wins a free-kick off Salgado and Samba... he takes it quickly and Sunderland look to hit just before the break.
    • 43' Givet hits the deck after Elmohamady leaves a foot in... the Sunderland man sees yellow.
    • 42' Diouf trips Bardsley as the defender looks to run the ball out of trouble... the whistle sounds, sparking off an over-the-top reaction from Diouf, who throws his arms up and himself to the turf in disbelief at the decision.
    • 41' Pedersen delivers another lovely ball into the box... Mignolet is again equal to it, punching clear.
    • 40' Malbranque does well to get to the by-line and deliver a cross towards the near post... but it's cleared by the hosts' defence.
    • 39' Henderson looks to play in Welbeck... but the youngster overhits it and the ball runs out of play.
    • 38' Bramble hoofs a clearance straight out of the ground... and a new ball is required.
    • 37' That's a lovely bit of link up play between Jones, Kalinici and very nearly Olsson...
    • 36' Diouf and Bardsley clash as the Rovers man shoves his marker in the face. Actually, it's more of a tickle to his cheek, but referee Probert will have a word with both men. Needless to say, the Sunderland fans don't like it one bit.
    • 35' Phil Jones has takes a knock and he's forced to have some treatment... he should be okay to continue though.
    • 34' A lovely, fluid break by Sunderland ends with Elmohamady sending over a decent cross... Samba is there to hit it clear.
    • 33' Oooh! Diouf delivers a great ball into the box where Kalinic meets it! Just wide of the mark!
    • 31' The possession stats say it's been 50-50 so far....
    • 30' Here comes another Pedersen free-kick into the Sunderland box... Mignolet is off his line quickly to punch it clear.
    • 29' Bent now seems to go over on his ankle as he comes down from an aerial challenge... he limps away, but he should be okay to continue.
    • 28' Just going back to that miss by Bent - it really was a gilt-edged chance. And his finish was typical of a player returning from injury. He never looked like he was going to stick it away.
    • 27' Kalinic now slides in on Turner... he catches him, no doubt, but there's no malice. Nevertheless, he goes into the book.
    • 26' Kalinic gets his head to a cross... it's on target! But it's easy for Mignolet to deal with!
    • 25' BENT'S THROUGH ON GOAL HERE! Givet makes a hash of his defensive header and the England striker has all the time in the world to finish! Must be! No! Robinson denies him! What a chance!
    • 24' Just a quick word on Diouf - his every touch is getting booed by the Sunderland fans, after his brief and unsuccessful stint on Wearside. But then again, which teams' fans do not boo the controversial Senegalese?
    • 23' Sunderland can break here... Henderson feeds Elmohamady on the right... but the Egyptian makes a hash of it, his initial shot bouncing back to him before his cross sails into the stands.
    • 22' Lovely play from Diouf to beat Bardsley on the Rovers right... but the final ball into the box is headed clear.
    • 21' Ooh! Welbeck attempts a spectacular overhead kick from Elmohamady's cross.... it looks great, but it's way off target in the end!
    • 20' Onuoha, not for the first time tonight, gives the ball away cheaply... but Kalinic cannot capitalise this time.
    • 19' Welbeck has a sniff of a chance at the other end, but Givet snuffs it out efficiently.
    • 18' Samba rises to meet Pedersen's corner... but the whistle goes for a foul on Mignolet.
    • 18' Ooh! Another chance for Rovers as Jones bravely heads on to Diouf who fires across goal! Bramble is there to clear behind for another corner!
    • 17' Mignolet gets a fist to the resulting corner and the pressure eases on the Sunderland goal for a moment.
    • 16' Oooh! Pedersen whips in a curling free-kick from the right hand touchline that seems to have outfoxed Mignolet for a moment! But the youngster recovers well to tip over the bar!
    • 15' Henderson finds Bent, who cuts inside and tries to have a pop on goal! But the England striker misses his kick badly and the chance goes begging!
    • 14' Pedersen slips the ball through looking for the run of Kalinic... but Bramble is alive to the danger and it passes soon enough.
    • 13' Only six Premier League goals have been scored at Ewood Park this season – Birmingham’s St Andrews is the only stadium to have seen fewer goals (five).
    • 12' Emerton is booked for his misdemeanour, rightly so.
    • 11' Things are getting a little tasty now as Emerton flies in on Bardsley!
    • 10' Cattermole hits the deck in the box... he wants a penalty as Givet comes across to make a challenge! But that's a blatant dive! Referee Probert isn't convinced either, although he opts not to sanction the Sunderland midfielder.
    • 9' Nzonzi climbs to meet a long free-kick forward... but he's flagged offside this time.
    • 8' Alex Ferguson, David Moyes, Peter Reid and Stuart Pearce are all spotted in the stands... nothing better to do on a rainy Monday night, chaps?
    • 7' Jones is caught in possession in the middle of the park... Elmohamady picks it up and decides to let fly from distance... poor choice. It flies well over the bar.
    • 6' Bramble pokes it forward for Malbranque to run onto.... the Frenchman wins a throw, nothing more.
    • 5' Henderson delivers a beat of a cross... Robinson flaps a little, but he gets away with it and the ball flies all the way through!
    • 4' Jones gives away a foul on Bardsley, down by the corner flag and Henderson now has a chance to dleliver a decent ball into the box.
    • 4' Samba now plays a long ball forward, but Diouf can't get to it. The ball skims off Onuoha's head and Rovers have a throw in.
    • 3' Here goes Bent, chasing down Samba who picks up a long Sunderland ball forward... Samba keeps his cool and gets it back to his keeper.
    • 2' Sunderland begin the game brightly enough, keeping the ball well for a minute or so, despite the greasey surface.
    • 1' Here we go! Under way at an extremely soggy Ewood Park!
    • 19:57 Here come the teams, both in their traditional colours - Rovers in blue and white halves, Sunderland in red and white stripes.
    • 19:55 Time for a quick weather report from Lancashire - it's tipping it down raining. It looks like a grim night in Blackburn, but that should at least make for some interesting conditions on the pitch at Ewood.
    • 19:50 It could well be a close one tonight - seven of the clubs' last 10 meetings in all competitions have been won by a one-goal margin and the other three were draws.
    • 19:45 Blackburn have won only one of their last six Premier League matches – 2-1 at Blackpool on September 25. But Rovers are unbeaten in their last four league matches at Ewood Park on a Monday - including a 2-2 draw against Sunderland on December 28, 2009 - since a 1-0 defeat to Bolton Wanderers in January 2005.
    • 19:40 Rovers boss (and future Real Madrid coach) Sam Allardyce makes two changes to the team that were beaten at Stoke, with Martin Olsson replacing the injured Ryan Nelsen and Nikola Kalinic replacing Mame Biram Diouf, who starts on the bench. And the good news is that David Dunn is on the bench.
    • 19:35 So, Bent takes his place in the starting line-up for Sunderland, having shaken off the groin problem that ruled him out of England's Euro 2012 qualifier with Montenegro. He lines up alongside Danny Welbeck, in for of Boudewijn Zenden.
    • 19:30 And tonight's referee is Lee Probert (Wiltshire).
    • 19:30 Let's have a look at tonight's teams... BLACKBURN: Robinson, Salgado, Samba, Givet, Olsson, Nzonzi, Jones, Emerton, Pedersen, El-Hadji Diouf, Kalinic. Subs: Bunn, Dunn, Mwaruwari, Hoilett, Morris, Chimbonda, Mame Diouf /// SUNDERLAND: Mignolet, Onuoha, Turner, Bramble, Bardsley, Malbranque, Cattermole, Elmohamady, Henderson, Welbeck, Bent. Subs: Gordon, Mensah, Zenden, Da Silva, Riveros, Ferdinand, Gyan
    • 19:25 However, Sunderland's away record is desperately poor - they have only won two of their last 32 Premier League away games. And, for the superstitous among you, they have not won any of their last 11 matches on a Monday stretching back over eight years – since a 2-1 home victory against Leicester City in April 2002.
    • 19:25 News is filtering through that Darren Bent has shaken off a groin injury and is fit enough to feature for Sunderland. That's a big filip for the Black Cats, given that Bent has scored the club’s last three Premier League goals, and netted five of their seven in the division this season. Since he joined the club, he has scored 29 of their 55 PL goals – 53 per cent. No other Sunderland player has reached double figures since Bent arrived in August 2009.
    • 19:20 These two have met 124 times in the league. Blackburn have won 41, Sunderland 58 and there have been 25 draws.
    • 19:15 Neither side have set the division alight so far this season and both have won just eight points from their previous seven games. That kind of form sees the pair head into this game just two points above the three bottom sides...
    • 19:10 Blackburn welcome Sunderland to Ewood Park in tonight's Premier League clash, with both teams looking to put some distance between them and the relegation zone.
