    • 90+7 There's the whistle! Spurs in, and with some controversy! Yet another talking point about goal-line technology.
    • 90+6 No real indication of how long this will go on for. Tuncay almost wriggles into the box but Spurs clear.
    • 90+4 Stoke have everyone forward, piling it in now...
    • 90+3 A drop ball in midfield which Shawcross sportingly knocks back to Spurs.
    • 90+2 I assume the three minutes added time will be extended after Sidibe's injury and that bit of controversy.
    • 90+1 Well then. Stoke are stil ranting at the ref and who can blame them. Tuncay is asking the linesman just what he gets paid for. That was behind the line. Robbed.
    • 90' OFF THE LINE! Crouch I think! Collins powers the header in, tipped off the post by Gomes, Walters heads it diving in, Crouch blocks it on the line, with his chest, and that was over the line! Surely! But no goal! Stoke are apoplectic!
    • 89' Brilliant from Tuncay to find Walters, now wide right and pinged in, half-cleared, Etherington can shoot, blocked though, he gets it on the left and wins a corner. Phew.
    • 88' STOKE SUB: Poor Sidibe's game is over just after it begun, stretchered off with a leg injury and his head in his hands. Tonge comes on.
    • 87' A delay in play as recent entry Sidibe is down hurt. Meanwhile, Kyle Walker comes on for Lennon as Spurs try to shore it up.
    • 86' Shawcross heads over from the corner again.
    • 85' STOKE SUB: Sidibe on for Delap.
    • 84' Stoke break, the have men over as Fuller spreads it wide to Walters, he puts in a decent low ball AND FULLER but Gomes saves!
    • 83' Bale, who is fine now, races on to a long ball and puts a cross in that Sorensen initially fumbles but claims.
    • 82' Gomes claims a long ball aimed for Walters with some ease and launches it upfield.
    • 81' Bale is still down, on the line, so Walters comes over and lifts his clearly uninjured leg over it. Amusing. Bale, obviously, is fine - there was no contact.
    • 80' Bale is down injured after he ran into Huth's back. That looked like nothing.
    • 79' Tuncay AGAIN gets on to an Etherington cross, this time chesting it down to put himself through but Gomes is alive to it and claims just before the finish.
    • 77' Etherington digs out a good cross and Tuncay meets it but he gets under the ball, maybe rising too early, heading over.
    • 76' It’s a throw to Stoke but, just as they have the Delap tactic, Spurs have Crouch who is a lighthouse of a man and meets all of those ones.
    • 75' Huddlestone is lucky, giving the ball away and letting Tuncay run in but being awarded a free-kick. Didn’t see much of a foul there.
    • 74' Bale I think will take this, it’s a touch to the right of the D, 28 yards out… poor, into the wall.
    • 74' Shawcross finally enters the book for taking out Bale, kicking the back of his heels. Wild from the big man.
    • 73' Tuncay is trying to do everything now, winning headers, knocking it wide, running in to meet crosses.
    • 72' Palacios surges forward and slides it in for Lennon, but just behind him.
    • 71' Oooh, Fuller could have threaded Tuncay clean through there but the pass was intercepted. A different team now.
    • 70' The corner is swung in, off Kaboul’s head and in the air and Gomes flaps AND SHAWCROSS but he smashes it over!
    • 69' Tuncay AGAIN with an inventive effort from distance that Gomes puts behind for a corner.
    • 68' Etherington puts the corner far post AND TUNCAY WITH THE HEADER BUT IT BOUNCES INCHES WIDE! Told you so.
    • 67' Tuncay gets his first touch, he turns on a sixpence AND FIRES IN A DIPPING SHOT THAT GOMES TIPS OVER! Thanks.
    • 66' Spurs counter, Bale again zips down the left, he is on the edge of the box but Shawcross sticks out a size 99 to put the low cross away!
    • 65' Another Delap throw, which Spurs deal with comfortably. Has he lost his ‘aura’?
    • 64' STOKE SUB: Whelan is off for Tuncay. Phew. No offence to Whelan – I’d have taken Walters off, who looks a Championship player at best – but this game needs the Turk.
    • 63' Lennon tries something on the left but Huth is able to tackle him and clear.
    • 62' This one from Delap causes marginally more problems as Gomes is forced to punch it clear under pressure.
    • 61' Delap has a throw on the right. Excitement! Crouch is back defending though, putting it to touch with a powerful header. Delap again on the left this time…
    • 60' Oh crikey this game has taken a turn. After a great first half it has descended into a turgid exercise in Stoke long ball and Spurs heading practise.
    • 59' Long into the Spurs boss but Fuller can’t reach that.
    • 58' Crouch with an arm across into Shawcross’s neck, which is penalised, but then the Stoke man heads the ball and Crouch’s face. Ow.
    • 57' Fuller uses his body a bit too eagerly and Spurs have a free-kick on halfway. Dawson to put long.
    • 55' It’s all getting a bit scrappy now, as Stoke go all the way back to their penalty area then look long.
    • 54' Ouch! Palacios very late into Whitehead and he becomes the first Spurs player to be booked.
    • 53' Alley oop! High balls into the Spurs box are the order of the day as the home fans roar them on. Low yield policy though as Spurs clear every one of them.
    • 52' Whitehead runs into Lennon, who half-rides it but can’t continue the dribble as he stumbles. A very harsh yellow card.
    • 51' Etherington on the left opts to take it easy, looking inside to Fuller. Spurs clear though.
    • 50' A Delap cannonball from the right is cleared by Spurs, who are well organised this time. Faye has a chance to shoot but puts it well over.
    • 49' The free-kick is taken short but Lennon’s angled cross drops into Sorensen’s arms.
    • 48' Crouch finds Bale, who draws a clumsy foul off Shawcross.
    • 47' Long from Stoke but Gomes comes out to claim.
    • 46' Lennon almost gets in on the right after a loose pass from Faye but for once today his touch lets him down and Shawcross slides in to nick it back to the keeper.
    • 46' Second half resumes.
    • - No changes at the break as the sides come out for the second half...
    • - Both sides have had three shots on target.
    • - Stat from OptaJoe@Twitter: "Gareth Bale has scored five goals in his last eight Premier League appearances, but this is his first brace in the top-flight. Dragon."
    • 45+2 That's the break, Spurs lead after an entertaining half of football, two goals from Gareth Bale, one comedy, one classy.
    • 45+2 Fuller sees the game’s first card for a late tackle on Dawson. Nasty little swipe at his ankles.
    • 45+1 Somehow the ball doesn’t go in! More super wingplay by Bale to race down the left on to a lovely through ball from Jenas, Bale drills a savage low cross in, Sorensen spills it and Jenas flies in but somehow it comes off his heel and Sorensen manages to palm it away!
    • 45' Huth’s backpass almost puts Crouch in but Sorensen just about skews it clear.
    • 44' Spurs cagily pass it around the back, trying not to do anything stupid before the break.
    • 43' A lull in play you ask? Yes! Possibly a bit leggy after having a right old go for the first half, the game takes a mini-breather as Spurs line up a goal kick.
    • 42' Brilliant tackle on Crouch by Collins after Bale’s cross dropped to him in the box. The whistle goes anyway, Crouch handled. Well, he didn’t, it hit his chest, but that’s the decision.
    • 41' Tottenham putting some pressure on Stoke in the latter stages of the half as Huth’s backpass forces Sorensen into a rushed clearance for a throw.
    • 40' In trying to prevent the corner Huth hands it straight to Bale, who crosses but it lands for Corluka, who looks a bit giddy that far forward. Stoke clear.
    • 39' Walters knocks a long one down to Etherington but he was climbing all over Dawson according to the ref.
    • 38' Balls are flying towards the Spurs box as Stoke play binary to try and get a leveller…
    • 37' A ricochet on the left sends Crouch in, he has Faye in his way and the Stoke defender is quicker so gets between him and the ball to shepherd it out for a goal kick.
    • 36' Lennon is having loads of fun down the right, Etherington leaves a lot of space between him and Collins although the latter slides in on Lennon to block the cross.
    • 35' Crouch tries to control a long ball with those long legs of his and wins a throw. This is an entertaining enough match now. Give it to Bale!
    • 34' Fuller takes a long ball on his chest then goes down but Kaboul didn’t touch him. Diver!
    • 33' Should have been 2-2! Super turn by Fuller on the edge of the box, rolling off the hapless Kaboul, but he drills a weak shot straight at Gomes. You’d back him to score there.
    • 32' More super play by Spurs, Bale, Crouch and Lennon combining but Lennon is pushed wide and his cross is deflected into Sorensen’s arms. I’m still buzzing off that goal.
    • 30' WHAT A GOAL! GARETH BALE WITH A BRILLIANT FAR-POST VOLLEY! Ooooh! Lennon does well on the right to wriggle into a crossing position but Bale has it all to do - and boy does he do it. He just wraps his left boot around the ball and swerves it inside the top right. Wow.
    • 29' interplay between Delap and Fuller but Spurs clear the latter’s cross. They slow it down now to take the edge of the frantic pace Stoke are setting.
    • 28' Crouch is penalised for backing in on halfway. Huth will pop this long but to no avail as Gomes gathers.
    • 27' Stoke almost get a second immediately but Gomes dives on to the loose ball in the area. Spurs defending like they did on Wednesday.
    • 26' GOAL STOKE! FULLER! Spurs fail to clear the corner and Fuller poke the loose ball in the box with his right foot into the right side of goal. Gomes is furious. Rubbish defending. Kaboul’s attempted clearance of Etherington’s corner is derisory, as is Huddlestone’s marking of Fuller.
    • 25' Good play by Walters chasing a lost cause, getting in ahead of Gomes and forcing a corner off Assou-Ekotto.
    • 24' A bit of head tennis, which will suit Stoke for obvious reasons.
    • 23' Taken short to Lennon, who stands it up far post but not even Crouch is tall enough to keep that in.
    • 22' Free-kick to Spurs just inside their half that Huddlestone feints to take but then allows Jenas to play on. Bale gets it on the left but Huth slides in to give away a corner.
    • 21' Walters not quite Crouch-esque enough to connect with Delap's high far-post cross.
    • 20' That goal gets funnier on the replay. The sublime to the ridiculous. Harry's not laughing though.
    • 19' FREAK GOAL SPURS! In off Bale’s face after Crouch’s goal-bound header is cleared off the line by Shawcross. Brilliant build-up play from Lennon though, who cuts in from the left with a superb touch, beats three men and clips a lovely diagonal pass that initially puts Bale in, whose shot is parried and spins into Crouch’s path, whose header hits Shawcross's knee and goes in off Bale's mug.
    • 18' Fuller with a flick-on into Walters but Dawson reads it to clear. If he was quicker, Dawson would be world class. Alas, he is not.
    • 17' Lennon gives the ball straight to Etherington who almost slides Fuller clean in with a magic through ball but Dawson intercepts.
    • 16' Crouch is sent sprawling by Faye but play on says the ref. That came after a neat period of Spurs passing.
    • 15' The ball breaks to Fuller on the edge of the box, his shot is blocked by Dawson AND WALTERS but his shot is straight at Gomes who gathers easily.
    • 14' Great determination by Bale down the left but he is closed out by Huth and Shawcross, spooning the cross out for a goal kick. Shawcross seemed to pull his shirt, and left him in a heap with a slightly late tackle, but no action. Clumsy.
    • 13' Spurs react to that chance with a confident spell of keep-ball.
    • 12' It’s long throw time! But Delap, oddly, takes it short. Aha, a training-ground routine as Huth then pumps it into the box, Spurs barely clear, swung back in again from the left now and it drops to DELAP AT THE FAR POST but he smashes the volley across Gomes and wide!
    • 11' Palacios gets caught in possession, not for the first time this week, but well played Assou-Ekotto to come across and clear. Almost a slick one-two between Crouch and Lennon but Lennon misses the return and it’s hacked away by Whelan.
    • 10' The corner is aimed far post for Crouch but his header across goal is unsurprisingly met by a Stoke head. Big lads are these. Assou-Ekotto has really silly hair.
    • 9' Whitehead almost wriggles in past Kaboul but Dawson is covering and hooks it clear. Spurs break with Bale on the left but big Rob Huth comes across to slide the ball out for a corner.
    • 8' Great agility from Delap to hook the ball in with his ankle as it was flying out. Dawson in hard but fair on Fuller, throw to Stoke.
    • 7' Bale tries a diagonal ball but it’s somewhat aimless and Stoke clear. Etherington crosses from deep but Walters is offside. Huddlestone tries an ambitious diagonal pass for Bale but it runs over him and out for a throw.
    • 6' Bale tries a diagonal ball but it’s somewhat aimless and Stoke clear. Etherington crosses from deep but Walters is offside.
    • 5' Stoke now with a spell on the ball as Shawcross pumps it long. Nodded on by Walters, who has struggled to get a touch on it so far.
    • 4' Bale tries a lob from the edge of the box on the left but he gets it wrong, the ball bouncing harmlessly wide.
    • 3' Lennon pops up on he left, cutting inside and trying a clever one-two with Crouch but it does not come off and Stoke clear.
    • 2' Whelan’s corner is cleared by Spurs, who retain possession and play it around the back.
    • 1' Wilkinson gets down the right and slides a low cross in which Dawson utterly unnecessarily pokes past the post for a corner. He looks annoyed at not getting a shout.
    • 1' The first half gets underway at the Britannia Stadium!
    • 15:00 A slight delay in kick off as Tony Pulis takes his time to get to the touchline.
    • 14:55 Ryan Shawcross is set to make his 100th league appearance for Stoke City; Danny Higginbotham is set to make his 200th PL appearance.
    • 14:50 Last season Stoke picked up 57 per cent of their total points at the Britannia Stadium. In the 2008-09 season, 77 per cent of their points were won at home.
    • 14:45 Stoke and Tottenham have met 70 times in the league. Stoke have won 18, Tottenham 37 and there have been 15 draws; The away side won each of their two PL meetings last season – Stoke winning 1-0 at White Hart Lane (October 2009) and Tottenham winning 2-1 at the Britannia Stadium (March 20).
    • 14:40 Another new Spurs signing not playing is Sandro, who completed his move from Internacional after they won the Copa de Libertadores. He is happy to start from scratch at White Hart Lane.
    • 14:35 William Gallas completed his move to Spurs after leaving bitter rivals Arsenal. He does not make the squad today, but Harry Redknapp sees no problems despite his former status as Gunners skipper.
    • 14:30 Sebastian Bassong pays the price for defending like a drain in the 3-2 Europa League defeat to Young Boys, dropping to the bench with Younes Kaboul coming in as one of five changes. Both Luka Modric and Jermain Defoe picked up groin tweaks on the astro in Bern, so Tom Huddlestone and Aaron Lennon start. Goal-hero Roman Pavlyuchenko and Robbie Keane are injured, so Peter Crouch plays as a lone striker with no strikers - I repeat NO strikers - on the bench.
    • 14:25 So with Kenwyne Jones injured, Jonathan Walters gets a start for Stoke, less than 48 hours after completing a £2.75m move from Ipswich. What does that spell for the future of Tuncay, who is on the bench? Otherwise there are no surprises as Stoke line-up in two banks of four with a big, muscular side - only Matthew Etherington and Glenn Whelan are under six foot. Liam Lawrence is not in the squad as he prepares to join Celtic.
