    • FT AND THERE IS THE FINAL WHISTLE!!! A superb and deserved win for Wigan but Tottenham were awful and got what they deserved - nothing!
    • 90+4 GREAT CHANCE FOR SPURS!!! Kranjcar loops a free-kick in Kabol gets his head to it before Al Habsi but he puts it wide.
    • 90+2 No sign of a late push from Spurs this is really pretty awful....
    • 90+1 Kaboul runs forward and then gets caught in possession.
    • 90' Wigan have the ball in the corner again looking to wasted time.
    • 89' Wigan also made a change....Stam went off...I did not see who came on - it has all got a bit hectic.
    • 88' Big shout from the Spurs players for handball from Alcaraz but the referee has given it as a free-out the other way.
    • 87' TWO GREAT saves from Al Habsi in the space of a minute – first he tipped over a long drive from Kranjcar and then batted away a Pavlyuchenko effort from the resulting corner.
    • 85' Wigan playing around with the ball in the corner as they look to kill so time.
    • 84' Defoe gets a shot on target but it is saved by Al Habsi - a comfortable save.
    • 83' White Hart Lane in a state of shock.....they look like losing this game and deservedly so.
    • 82' Huddlestone nearly gets they back on level terms with a volley after a long ball but it dribbles just wide.
    • 80' AND NOW WIGAN HAVE SCORED!!!! A cross field ball into the box and it drops over Rodallega's shoulder – he controls and fires a low shot that goes into the corner but Cudicini should have saved.
    • 80' OH another chance as Gomez fires over after another great cross from Rodallega. Good deep run into the box from the Spaniard.
    • 79' ALCARAZ MISSES AN OPEN GOAL FOR WIGAN!!! Great low cross from Rodallega and the centre-half if there to just tap it in but he fires it over.
    • 79' Wigan have actually had more attempts on goal than Spurs (10 to 7)
    • 78' Huddlestone curls a nothing shot wide - it really should have been one for the left foot there.
    • 77' Well they now have a free-kick on the edge of the area after a foul on Pavlyuchenko
    • 76' Nothing comes of that corner and Spurs need to start from scratch again.
    • 75' Al Habsi has to palm a cross wide - he wanted a shout from his defence that he didn't get.
    • 74' Kranjcar booked for a bad tackle in midfield.
    • 73' Final Spurs change Giovani dos Santos on for Lennon.
    • 72' James McCarthy tries a miracle shot but that goes nowhere.
    • 71' Ball over the top for Pavlyuchenko but he is offside and there was too much on it anyway.
    • 70' Amazing stuff he really Spurs have not created ONE CHANCE in this half.
    • 69' Rodallega nearly gets his head on a cross flashed across the box.
    • 68' First Wigan change Gomez comes on for the anonymous Boselli.
    • 66' Spurs having all the possession at the moment but they don't know what to do with it.
    • 65' Very good defending from Ronnie Stam to end another Spurs attack - the Dutch man is having a good game today.
    • 63' Wigan starting to drop a little too deep now - they are still defending well but they have to be careful...still a long way to go.
    • 62' Very lead-footed play from Huddlestone - Pavlyuchenko slipped a ball in behind the defence but the midfield took an age to get a cross in and it was ultimately blocked.
    • 61' Nothing comes from that and Boselli can break but he shows a heavy touch and King takes it off him.
    • 60' Wigan conceded another free-kick in a dangerous area and this really looks like Bale country but he cannot get it over the wall although he does win a corner.
    • 59' It is rolled to Kaboul but by the time he shot the wall was in his face and the shot was blocked.
    • 58' And they not have a free-kick in a central position just a few yards outside of the D – this could be Bale country.
    • 57' 35,101 at the Lane today...Spurs slowly starting to up the pressure now.
    • 56' Kranjcar dummies a cross from Lennon but there is no fooling Gohouri who clears.
    • 55' Kaboul puts in a deep cross - so deep it goes out for a throw.
    • 54' If anything Spurs are playing worse in this half then they did in the first….they cannot string two passes together.
    • 52' Some decent work from Pavlyuchenko down the left corner and he gets a low cross in but Al Habsi is there ahead of Defoe.
    • 51' Pavlyuchenko with a header down but nobody is on the end of it.
    • 51' Rodallega fires a shot but it is blocked on the way to goal and all the fizz goes out of it…Tottenham keep giving the ball away.
    • 50' Once again though Rodallega cannot get the free-kick over the wall.
    • 49' Kranjcar gives away a free-kick 30 yards out and a bit to the right.
    • 48' Cudicini comes out well to gather with Rodallega lurking nearby.
    • 47' Another bright start to the half from Wigan...lots of "Come on" shouts from the home fans....
    • 46' And we are back underway...
    • 46' Well Harry clearly not happy – two changes at the break. Off go Crouch and Assou-Ekotto and on comes Roman Pavlyuchenko and Niko Kranjcar
    • HT And there is the half-time whistle. Very much a Champions League hangover from Tottenham they scored nine in this match last season but have not really looked like getting one so far.
    • 45+3 Huddlestone tries to expand the pitch with a pass into the corner but he overhits it and Kabol can't control it.
    • 45+1 We will have three extra minutes....
    • 45' Groans from the home fans - they are just waiting for something to happen.
    • 43' Hendry Thomas has been booked for leaving the boot in in midfield.
    • 42' Spurs messing around in midfield and McCarthy just comes in a takes the ball and runs all the way to the edge of the area before finally being tackled.
    • 40' Great work from Defoe as he turns Gohouri before running into the box…he had Boyce all over him but still managed to poke a shot away with his right foot and it goes just wide.
    • 38' Rodlallega curls an effort wide after Dawson produces a poor clearance after some good work from Stam.
    • 36' Wigan have a chance to put a ball of their own into the box from a free-kick but McCarthy puts too much on it and it goes wide.
    • 35' But again Wigan see out the danger…keep calm…and White Hart Lane is pretty quiet again.
    • 35' Spurs enjoy a good little spell of pressure which is helping the crowd to get into it a bit..
    • 33' Spurs with a free down the left and yes…again Wigan manage to get to the cross first.
    • 32' Al Habsi gathers another Bale cross....the Welshman has been involved but his crosses are not finding the target.
    • 31' Yet again Wigan head away a Bale corner - they have really done their homework on that front.
    • 30' Rodallega can only fire into the wall though.
    • 29' Michael Dawseon dives into Diame – about 35 yards out – that is a booking every day of the week and Wigan might be able to do something from this free-kick.
    • 28' Lennon tries to cut inside from the left but again there are plenty of black shirts there to smother him.
    • 27' Wigan defend another Bale corner very well. They are a big team and Spurs are not having much luck through the air.
    • 25' Rodallega with an effort at the other end but that is not troubling the goal.
    • 23' SUPERB SAVE FROM Al Habsi. Assou-Ekotto whipped a cross into the middle of the area near the penalty spot – Defoe then controlled, turned and shot all in one fluid motion but the Oman international got down quick to his right to make a great save.
    • 22' Well we are halfway through the half now and Wigan have had the only chance of note so far.
    • 21' Wigan biting in the tackles here - they are really playing for their manager today.
    • 20' Good play from Al Habsi as he races out to claim a dangerous cross from Bale with Crouch lurking behind.
    • 19' Spurs finally getting their foot on the ball now after their awful start.
    • 18' Defoe runs back on to the pitch....he will continue.
    • 17' Jermain Defoe is down getting treatment after coming off worst from a fair challenge from Alcaraz – looks like he might be okay but Robbie Keane is getting ready just in case.
    • 16' Crouch slides in to take the ball off Alcarez – but nothing comes from the attack.
    • 15' Attack ends as Crouch puts a header out near the corner flag from Assou-Ekotto's cross.
    • 15' The corner leads to a spell of pressure that leads to.....another corner after Lennon's cross is deflected away.
    • 13' Bale has a shot that is deflected off a Wigan head away for a corner – will this finally get Spurs going – they have been awful so far.
    • 12' Another SHOCKER from Assou-Ekotto and he is robbed in possession after messing around with it – Stam nicked it off him and rang into the box but again Wigan could not creat a chance.
    • 10' Few whistles from the Spurs fans as Al Habsi takes a goal kick – they don't think he is time wasting already?
    • 9' And now Tottenham nearly fall asleep at the back and it looked for a moment like Wigan might be in again before Spurs finally cleared but they need to wake up here.
    • 8' OFF THE BAR FROM WIGAN…Rodallega whipped the corner to the far post….Alcaraz headed it across the goal where Steve Gohouri then volleyed off the underside of the bar.
    • 7' Palacios gives the ball away which allows Wigan to build and they have won another corner.
    • 6' After all the goals they have shipped you might expect Wigna to cram the midfield but Rodallega seems to playing right up close to Boselli.
    • 5' Ball over the top looks for Defoe but there was too much juice on that and he might have been offside in any event.
    • 4' Bale whips in the free-kick himself but Crouch just fails to get on the end of it.
    • 3' Gareth Bale chopped down by Emerson Boyce. He looked hurt for a moment but it seems he was just trying to get Boyce booked. He got his free but no more.
    • 3' Surprisingly flat atmosphere at the Lane…that might have something to do with all those post-Champion League hangovers….
    • 2' Well encouraging early signs for Wigan as they have a corner and then moments later Rodallega fires a shot wide. Nothing major but they could do with some positive news those poor Wigan fans.
    • 1' And Spurs have got us underway….
    • 14:57 Both teams out now....Wigan in their away strip of black with gold trimming.
    • 14:55 Today's referee is Phil Dowd (Staffordshire)
    • 14:50 Jermain Defoe was due to have groin surgery this week but he has cancelled that which allows him to start again today and the operation might not take place at all. Redknapp: Defoe could cancel op
    • 14:45 Earlier today these two sides learned who they will play in the Carling Cup third round and there is a tasty tie for Spurs. Carling Cup draw
    • 14:40 Roberto Martinez has made three changes from the mid-week win at Hartlepool handing starts to Steve Gohouri, Ronnie Stam and James McCarthy, who come in for Steven Caldwell, James McArthur and Jordi Gomez. Still no sign of Charles N'Zogbia though even though his Birmingham move looks to have fallen through. N'Zogbia's Blues move dead
    • 14:35 Spurs make two changes from the side that beat Young Boys during the week. Carlo Cudicini comes on for the injured Heurelho Gomes. While Vedran Corluka is also missing – not sure what is wrong with him – so Younes Kaboul comes in. Crouch treble inspires Spurs
    • 14:30 TOTTENHAM: Cudicini, Kaboul, Dawson, King, Assou-Ekotto, Lennon, Huddlestone, Palacios, Bale, Crouch, Defoe; Subs: Alnwick, Jenas, Pavlyuchenko, Keane, Giovani, Bassong, Kranjcar /// WIGAN: Al Habsi, Stam, Gohouri, Alcaraz, Figueroa, Thomas, Diame, McCarthy, Boyce, Rodallega, Boselli; Subs: Pollitt, Watson, Steven Caldwell, Gomez, McArthur, McManaman, Mustoe
    • 14:25 Tottenham are unbeaten in 12 games at home in the league while Wigan have won just one of their 11 meetings with Spurs in all competitions. Seems like a home banker doesn't it? But Spurs fans are well used to some surprising slip-ups in the past.
    • 14:20 Of course this is not the one match that Wigan really want to be playing after their awful start to the season. I'm sure no Latics fans need reminding what happened here last season
    • 14:15 Hello and welcome to our live coverage from this clash at White Hart Lane as Champions League bound Tottenham (how does that sound Spurs' fans?) take on the we have already conceded 10 goals Wigan Athletic (not sounding so good).
