    • - Don't forget you can watch highlights of this match, along with every Premier League game, from 00:01 on Monday morning (UK only).
    • 90+4' There's the final whistle. A comfortable win for West Ham in the end. Stoke offered very little in attack, and in fairness were outplayed and outfought all over the pitch. They could now find themselves being drawn into a real relegation battle, while West Ham move out of the bottom three.
    • 90+3' A standing ovation for Scott Parker as he is replaced by Gabbidon in the final minute.
    • 90+2' Wilson looks for Jones in the box with a high cross, but Green comes off his line to claim comfortably.
    • 90+1' Three minutes' time to be added.
    • 90' Da Costa fouls Jones on the halfway line and Stoke come forward, though Walter loses his footing in the area and West Ham break quickly.
    • 89' The Hammers win themselves a corner now. Hitzlsperger delivers, Tomkins heads goalwards, and Begovic makes a routine save.
    • 87' West Ham are content to keep possession now. Tomkins had the opportunity to cross there, but opted to force the throw-in off Pugh.
    • 85' Obinna replaces Cole as the clock ticks down.
    • 84' Fuller chases his cross into the box, it comes back to him off Parker, and he drives a rasping shot just round the far post!!! So, so close!!!
    • 83' Noble finds Parker, he pulls it back, Piquionne's goalbound shot is blocked, the rebound falls for Hitzlsperger and he smashes it home in trademark fashion!!!! Game, set and match.
    • 82' Goalscorer Demba Ba goes off to a standing ovation as Gary O'Neil replaces him.
    • 81' Tomkins brings the ball inside and lays it on beautifully for Cole...WHO SIDEFOOTS THE BALL MILLIMETRES WIDE OF THE FAR POST!!! That was very close indeed.
    • 79' A moment of panic in the West Ham defence as Whitehead's cross isn't properly cleared, though Noble finally manages to hoist the ball up towards the halfway line. It just isn't breaking for Stoke this afternoon.
    • 78' Piquionne forces a corner off Pugh to keep the pressure up on Stoke. Hitzlsperger swings the ball in, Tomking wins the header at the back post, but can't get any purchase on it.
    • 77' Fine play from Parker to bring it forward to West Ham, and sloppy play from Stoke sees them concede possession no sooner than they had finally dispossessed the West Ham captain.
    • 76' Cole is two yards offside as he sprints onto Noble's ball in behind the Stoke back four.
    • 75' Etherington, Whelan and Wilson are all over the ball. Wilson hits it, but the wall does its job.
    • 74' Upson gives away a sily free-kick under pressure from Jones on the edge of his own area. Good opportunity for Stoke here.
    • 73' Piquionne loses possession all too easily in the corner, allowing Stoke off the hook, then Huth turns and gives the linesman an earful of abuse for not giving a throw-in earlier. To be fair to the official, there was no way the whole ball was over the line.
    • 72' Jones with a fine flick on for the onrushing Walters...he goes for goal...SAVED by Green down to his right. Etherington was screaming for it on the right flank, but Walters opted to go for goal himself. Signs of life from Stoke now, but they need a goal quickly.
    • 71' Etherington steps back from the right flank onto his favoured left foot and curls an inviting cross into Jones...WHO GLANCES A HEADER JUST PAST THE FAR POST!!! That's as close as Stoke have come to a goal!
    • 70' Kenwyne Jones has scored in the two previous fixtures between West Ham and Stoke this season. A third goal against the Hammers is looking increasingly necessary if Stoke are to take anything from this game.
    • 69' Tony Pulis is giving instructions to Kenwyne Jones on the touchline now. And indeed Jones is on in place of Rory Delap now.
    • 68' Shawcross looks to touch the ball back to his 'keeper but there's another misunderstanding, Ba sprints onto the loose ball, he volleys goalwards from a tight angle, and Begovic claws it away on the stretch!!!
    • 67' "I'm forever blowing bubbles" rings out once again around Upton Park. The home fans sense three points are on the way.
    • 66' Fuller picks it up immediately and runs into Fuller, he runs straight into the big centre back and looks hopefully at the referee, but there's no way in the world that was a penalty.
    • 65' Ricardo Fuller is on for Carew for Stoke as Tony Pulis looks to inject some life into his attack.
    • 64' Etherington puts a fine cross into the West Ham area, Carew wins it, it almost fall for Walters, but a West Ham boot arrives in the nick of time to deny the striker! That was the best delivery of the afternoon from Stoke.
    • 63' Delap launches it into the front post, but Tomkins gets himselfahead ofhis man to clear the danger.
    • 62' Etheringon wins a throw off Tomkins, and Delap comes trotting across to take the long throw.
    • 60' Cole skips away from Huth and almost finds Piquionne, though he strikes the pass a little too firmly for the Frenchman.
    • 59' Cole tricks and teases Pugh to win himself just enough space to get a shot in after a quick counter, and Begovic goes some way to atoning from his error in the first half to tip it round the far post!!! Fine save, and that shot was goalbound!
    • 58' Delap strikes a vicious, moving shot from 30 yards that Green parries out for a corner!! Great effort from the midfielder!
    • 57' Delap hurls a long throw into the West Ham area, Green's punch isn't a good one, but Cole is on hand to use his strength and hold off two Stoke pleyers before hacking to safety.
    • 56' A flick-on from Cole is chased down by Noble, but this time Begovic does come and clear decisively.
    • 55' The corner comes in from Etherington, and once again the delivery is awful from Stoke - it's cleared by the first man Demba Ba.
    • 54' Parker wens careering into the advertsing boardings behind the goal there as he went back to make that challenge, but he's back on his feet, to the great relief of the crowd.
    • 53' Carew gets away from Upson for the first time this afternoon, and he wins the Potters a corner.
    • 52' A warm reception for former Hammer Matt Etherington as he replaces Pennant, who has had a hamstring problem.
    • 51' Parker with a decent ball out side for Bridge, though the full-back can't quite keep it in play.
    • 50' Walter trips ba in the Stoke half, and the Hammers can build another attack. Ba has been excellent afternoon. So alert and quick on his feet.
    • 49' Etherington is stripping off on the touchline. His appearance is imminent.
    • 48' Fine delivery from Hitzlsperger into the back post, AND TOMKINS SEES HIS HEADER RICOCHET WIDE OFF THE POST!!!
    • 48' Noble wins a header in the West Ham area, Ba races onto it, and it requires a desperate clearance from Huth at full stretch to celar for a corner.
    • 47' Worried faces on the Stoke bench. They've now gone over seven hours away from home without a goal.
    • 46' Stoke get the second half-underway.
    • 45+3' There's the half-time whistle. West Ham 2-0 Stoke City.
    • 45+2' Walters finally gets some space to fire a cross into the area, but Carew is the only man in there, and it's too far from the big Norwegian. What a comfortable half it has been for West Ham.
    • 45+1' Two minutes' time to be added.
    • 45' Histzlsperger forces a smart save from Begovic with a magnificent half-voley from 25 yards!!! That stung the palms of the Bosnian 'keeper!
    • 44' Pugh brings down Piquionne on the left. He'll be sick of the sight of the Frenchman by the end of the afternoon.
    • 43' Piquionne yet again can run at Pugh on the left, he gets his cross in, Wilson heads clear, Delap hacks upfield, but the bounce eludes Carew and West Ham can build from the back.
    • 42' Piquionne once again gets in behind Pugh, though a heavy tough carries the ball out of play. Nevertheless, the interplay between West Ham's front three has been excellent so far. It was an excellent ball from Cole to pick out Piquionne.
    • 41' Carew fails to hold up another long ball. Grant's decision to partner Upson with Da Costa this afternoon looks to have been an absolute masterstroke.
    • 38' Walterswith a decent ball into the box for Pennant, but fantastic defending from Bridge and Parker crowd the winger out, and earn the Hammers a goal kick.
    • 37' Pennant goes in late on Bridge, who was under a bit of pressure there. That needless challenge earns West Ham a free-kick that allows them to pump the ball back into the Stoke half.
    • 36' Former West Ham boy Matthew Etherington is warming up on the sidelines. He wasn't risked by Tony Pulis, though his pace and trickery on the left are being sorely missed right now.
    • 35' Parker picks out Bridge, his cross is only half-cleared, Ba's mishit shot falls for Piquionne at the far post...GREAT CHANCE...and Piquionne hits the side-netting!!! The deflection had taken Pugh out of the game there, and Piquionne really should have at least hit the target from that position.
    • 34' Well, few had spoken of Stoke being drawn into a relegation battle, though there will be only three points between the two sicdes if West Ham can go on and claim the win here this afternoon.
    • 33' Strong running from Cole wins West Ham a throw deep in the Stoke half. Noble looks to win himself a yard to of space to cross for Cole, but ends up running the ball out of play.
    • 32' Piquionne almost gets clear of Pugh, who recovers well with a sliding challenge to nick the ball away from the striker.
    • 31' That's two goals for the season for Da Costa, and both have come against Stoke. The first one was on this ground in the Carling Cup tie between these two sides.
    • 30' GOAL!!! Hitzlsperger flights the free-kick into the back post, and Manuel Da Costa sends a textbook thumping header past Begovic, who had no chance!! He was towering above Walters there!
    • 30' Shawcross with a late challenge on Parker, and he's into the book too. The referee was happy to play on, but Cole's hesitance prompted him to blow for the free-kick.
    • 29' Noble strikes it in low, it's touched on by Tomkins, but Stoke scramble it clear.
    • 28' Wilson has just manhandled Cole to the ground there. West Ham's front three are really stretching this Stoke defence at the moment. Wilson is booked for that challenge.
    • 27' Hitzlsperger and Noble are both standing over it, it's the German who hits it...but straight into the wall.
    • 26' Ba's confidence is clearly sky-high as he hits a wonderful crossfield ball for Piquionne, who beats Pugh, but is then felled by the Stoke man on the edge of the area. Free-kick in a great position for West Ham just outside the area.
    • 25' Looking back to the replays of the goal, there was very little Wilson could do about it. It really was just a clanger from Begovic.
    • 24' How ironic that it is Demba Ba who gives West Ham the lead, the very man Stoke opted not to take a risk on because of potential knee problems back in January. A penny for Tony Pulis' thoughts?
    • 23' Another miscue from Rory Delap lets West Ham off the hook as the ball bounced around the penalty area.
    • 22' Begovic was clear favourite to win the race to a long ball over the top of the Stoke defence, but he totally missed the ball, almost cleaned out Wilson, and Demba Ba was there to run onto the loose ball, get his body in front of Wilson, and stab the ball home into an empty net.
    • 21' GOAL!!! Just as I mention a lack of action, West Ham take the lead through Demba Ba, though there was a horrendous error from Begovic!!!
    • 20' A poor touch from Delap draws ironic cheers from the West Ham crowd as he controls the ball straihgt out of play. A real lack of quality on display throughout the first 20 minutes, and that has quietened the crowd. Very little to shout about so far.
    • 19' Delap picks out Pugh on the left for Stoke, though his cross is well underhit, and is cleared by the first man.
    • 18' Cole turns Wilson well on the left flank, and wins West ham a free-kick by the touchline, though they elect to play it short rather than arrow a long ball into the box.
    • 17' Lovely play from Piquionne who dances round two challenges in midfield, but Cole can't hold it up and Stoke regain possession.
    • 16' West Ham have their first attacking set piece of the match with a corner from the far side. Hitzlsperger with the delivery, which is straight into the hands of Begovic.
    • 15' A long-throw from Delap isn't properly cleared by West Ham, it falls to Shawcross, and if he were able to get any more purchase on that header on the stretch then Stoke could have been 1-0 up!
    • 14' Tomkins looks to orchestrate a quick counter-attack for West Ham, though his ball over the top for Noble runs straight through to Asmir Begovic - who of course used to play for Avram Grant at Portsmouth.
    • 13' Pennant swings in another corner, but again it's a poor delivery, this time ba is able to clear at the near post.
    • 12' Pennant swings it in, and Piquionne heads clear at the near post. Just looking in that penalty area, Stoke have a clear height advantage, with Carew, Delap, Huth and Shawcross all towering figures.
    • 11' Walters forces a smart save at the near post from Green, and Stoke have their first corner of the match.
    • 10' Interestingly Ba had trials with both Coventry and Barnsley earlier in his career, though neither club saw fit to offer him a contract.
    • 9' Ba looks to turn and run at Huth, who nicks the ball off the Senegalese forward with aplomb. It looked for all the world like Demba Ba was bound for Stoke in January until a failed medical put paid to that move, and now he lines up against his former suitors in the colours of West Ham.
    • 8' Another hopeful ball over the top from Pugh runs straight through to Green.
    • 7' A pretty frantic opening few minutes here at Upton Park. Neither side has really been able to keep possession for long - though that's not really a part of Stoke's game anyway.
    • 6' Pennant leads a counter-attack for Stoke and plays it wide for Delap, he in turn looks for the run of Walters, though Da Costa shepherds it out of play for a goal kick.
    • 5' Ba runs into the back Huth of after knocking the ball past him in the area, half-hearted apeals go up for a penalty, but referee Andre Marriner's having none of it.
    • 4' Pennant wins a yard of space against Bridge, strikes a cross into the near post, and Green is out quickly to collect.
    • 3' Carew wins a free-kick off Upson in midfield. That will be a key battle today.
    • 2' Noble looks for the run of Cole with a through-ball from midfield, but that was hit far too firmly for the big man to be able to chase.
    • 1' West Ham get the first half underway to a rousing chorus of "I'm forever blowing bubbles".
    • 15:00 A very warm embrace just before kick-off between Avram Grant and Tony Pulis. Back in January it looked for all the world like old Avram would be given the boot, but he's a durable character, and he's still here and fighting to keep his team in the Premiership.
    • 14:55 A close to capacity crowd has turned out here at Upton Park, and we're now just five minutes from kick off as the players make their way out onto the pitch.
    • 14:50 A cloudy day here in East London, though it's pretty dry, and the pitch is in pretty good shape. The sprinklers are out to give a bit of zip to the playing surface. All the ingredients are here for a fine game of football.
    • 14:45 Victory for West Ham here today would take them out of the bottom three, at least until tomorrow's game between Wolves and Tottenham.Stoke, meanwhile, lie tenth, six points clear of the relegation zone. Full Premier League standings
    • 14:40 The key to today's fixture could lie in West Ham's ability to deal with Stoke's well-documented aerial threat. 56% of their goals this season have come from set pieces - the highest in the Premiership.
    • 14:35 Stoke can take heart from Kenwyne Jones's stats coming into this match: he has scored three goals in five Premier League starts against the Hammers.
    • 14:30 Today's man in black is Andre 'Ancient' Marriner.
    • 14:25 The teams are in: West Ham: Green, Tomkins, Upson, da Costa, Bridge, Noble, Parker, Hitzlsperger, Piquionne, Cole, Ba. ///// Stoke: Begovic, Wilson, Huth, Shawcross, Pugh, Pennant, Delap, Whitehead, Whelan, Walters, Carew
    • 14:20 West Ham have been enjoying perhaps their best spell of the season, by contrast, with recent signing Demba Ba having netted three goals in two Premier League starts.
    • 14:15 Stoke arrive in East London on the back of a terrible recent run: they have won just one of their last six Premier League matches.
    • - Welcome to our LIVE coverage of West Ham v Stoke City. Kick off is at 3.00pm - we'll be here from 45 minutes beforehand with all the pre-match build-up.
