    Time:90'
    • Wigan Athletic
    • Manchester City
    • 90+3 That’s it - City move fourth.
    • 90+1 Johnson’s cross takes a deflection off Stam and almost loops into the net but Al Habsi just gets enough on it to deflect it onto the cross bar and out for a corner. 3 minutes of added time.
    • 90' Wigan still pass the ball around with Victor Moses making his entry following an injury lay-off.
    • 88' Wright-Philips for Tevez.
    • 86' Wigan make a late fist of this one and finish in the ascendancy. Anything now for Wigan will get the nerves jangling for those in City colours. Wigan have a corner but City deal with it easily.
    • 84' Diame rises to head a Figueroa cross wide of the target from the resulting corner. Big miss.
    • 82' Hits the wall and is out for a corner.
    • 80' Di Santo wins a free-kick 25 yards out – Rodallega over it…
    • 78' De Jong breaks down the right before laying off to Tevez but the front man skews his effort horribly wild. Has to go down as a chance.
    • 76' De Jong does well to track the run of Rodallega and snuff out a cross after the Colombian exchanged passes with Stam.
    • 74' Tevez receives the ball from Zabaleta before flashing an effort across the face of Al Habsi’s goal.
    • 72' Johnson for Silva.
    • 70' GOAL and that’s it. Three points almost guaranteed. Figueroa makes a mess of a rudimentary defensive header, which Tevez pounces on to cross for Toure Yaya to our this one beyond Wigan.
    • 69' Match beginning to stretch now.
    • 68' Tevez almost capitalises on a loose Gohouri pass but he fires straight at Al Habsi from just inside the area.
    • 66' Wigan build patiently and N'Zogbia crosses to a decent area at the back post but there’s no one there and it goes out for a goal-kick.
    • 64' Silva’s influence has begun to grow on this game – he finds Tevez, who clips the ball over the top for Richards, who is harshly adjudged to be offside. Risky game that offside trap.
    • 62' With clear-cut chances at an absolute premium, one more goal from City should seal this one.
    • 60' On this pitch, there is very little between these two sides.
    • 58' Barry this time stays off-side. Wigan have played the offside trap very well today.
    • 57' Tevez touches down a Milner clipped ball into the path of Zabaleta but his Argentine counterpart can only volley straight at Al Habsi.
    • 55' Diame takes aim from distance but his effort is wayward.
    • 53' Silva looks to have timed his run to perfection but is adjudged to have strayed offside – he was through in on goal there from a pretty much inch perfect Barry through ball.
    • 52' Toure challenges Rodallega just as he is to take aim following a poor square ball from Zabaleta – Figueroa collects the loose ball but blazes it over.
    • 50' City, buoyed by that late goal, begin in the ascendancy.
    • 48' Tevez finds Silva, who attempts to return the ball to Tevez but the Argentine goes down under the challenge of Alcaraz. Nothing doing there, though.
    • 46' Back underway at the DW.
    • 45+1 The one minute of added time offers little action and it is half time.
    • 45' Wigan look for an immediate riposte but make a hash of a short corner – City break with Milner but he overruns the ball.
    • 44' GOOAL!! Hart pumps a ball long, Diame mis-times his leap and the ball skims off his head past Alcaraz and into the path of Tevez, who, clear in on Al Habsi, looks up and dinks over the onrushing Wigan stopper. Sloppy defending; great finish.
    • 42' Di Santo finds McCarthy who opens his body up and finds N'Zogbia, who cuts inside and falls over. Sums the half up.
    • 41' This has been a very disappointing first half of football – granted the pitch hasn’t helped but there has been a distinct lack of adventure from both sides. Lots to talk about at half time.
    • 40' Richards ushers the ball and then Di Santo out of play. Goal kick.
    • 39' De Jong with a late one on Figueroa and he is duly booked for the indiscretion.
    • 38' Micah Richards gets away with an assault on Di Santo and City break but Tevez goes too early, maybe to compensate for the pitch, and some form of justice prevails with the assistant referee’s flag held aloft.
    • 36' Milner looks to get down the outside of Gohouri but the defender does well to lean in and muscle him off the ball.
    • 34' Milner flicks through to Silva but he catches the ankles of Alcaraz and the referee blows for a free-kick. This game has been tedious thus far.
    • 33' Toure clips the ball over the top but it runs through to Al Habsi – City need to be a little more inventive and commit more players forward if they want to be considered genuine title contenders.
    • 31' Zabaleta, in the context of this match, has a decent chance but, having exchanged passes with Barry, he fires wildly over from just outside the box.
    • 30' Toure receives the ball from Tevez but passes up the opportunity to release Milner by over-hitting a pass that trickles out of play.
    • 29' Di Santo receives the ball from McCarthy down the left, cuts inside Toure before firing an effort goalwards from the edge of the area. Easily claimed.
    • 28' Diame catches Toure on the ball and looks to break but the Ivorian hauls him down. The free-kick 40 yards from goal and to the left is poorly delivered by Rodallega. If Wigan are to get anything from this game, they’ll need to do better in set-piece situations.
    • 27' Plenty of industry out there but this game is yet to sparkle.
    • 26' Milner makes a yard of space but his cross is too close to Al Habsi.
    • 25' Tevez fails to beat the first man with the cross.
    • 24' Thomas has touched the ball twice and on both occasions his through balls have ended up behind the goal of Joe Hart. Poor.
    • 23' Emerson Boyce fails to punish a sloppy pass from Zabaleta – his attempted cross fails to beat the first man.
    • 22' Clean, if a little robust, challenge from Gohouri on Milner. Big challenge.
    • 21' Barry, uncharacteristically, sweeps the ball across the pitch and straight out of play but makes amends with a clean challenge on N'Zogbia moments later.
    • 19' Toure, the younger, clips over the Wigan defence for Tevez but Figueroa intervenes - De Jong collects but his angled ball fails to find Barry and runs out for a goal kick.
    • 18' This one, in all likelihood, will be settled by a belt from distance.
    • 17' City continue to keep the ball well in close quarters but as soon as they attempt the killer ball the move runs out of steam. N'Zogbia breaks but his intended cross for Di Santo is easily cleared by Toure.
    • 15' Di Santo takes aim but his weak attempt is easily claimed by Joe hart.
    • 14' City keep the ball well around the centre of the field but as soon as they look to stretch the play the ball picks up off the surface and the games' decent moves have been punctuated by errant switches of play.
    • 13' Wigan break with Rodallega but he hesitates and Kompany nips in – he finds Tevez, who shrugs off four or five challenges before firing past the post of Al Habsi.
    • 12' City build down the right but Wigan remain compact and close out the space. Tevez, in frustration, fouls Alcaraz.
    • 10' Wigan retain the ball well for the first time this afternoon but Thomas looks for Boyce with a Hollywood ball - with the surface as wet as it is, there was very little chance of the right back getting on the end of that one.
    • 8' Di Santo flicks on for Rodallega but Richards reads it and City are back in possession – they build from the back and Silva finds Richards down the right. The cross finds it way to Silva via a knock down from Tevez but the Spanish midfielder skews the effort wide.
    • 6' Another offside – Zabaleta this time.
    • 5' With a real zip on that surface, expect a lot of offsides today
    • 4' Tevez looks to spring the offside trap but the Argentine is too eager and is offside. Good ball from Milner.
    • 3' The pitch is a worry for both sides – it is incredibly slippery out there following 24 hours of heavy rain.
    • 2' City stroke the ball around nicely in the opening minutes but Figueroa intercepts and goes long to N'Zogbia but the Frenchman fouls Zabaleta.
    • 1' And we’re underway in this North West derby – Manchester City, in their away strip, take the kick under intense rain.
    • 14:55 The referee for today’s game is Lee Probert.
    • 14:50 Roque Santa Cruz is fit and available and makes the bench but Jerome Boateng is not involved due to a knee injury; while there is no place for Emmanuel Adebayor, who has apparently had a bust up with Mancini.
    • 14:45 For Wigan, Victor Moses is fit enough for a return to the bench after missing two games with an ankle problem but Gary Caldwell is still sidelined for a few more weeks as he recovers from hip surgery.
    • 14:40 Teams - Wigan: Al Habsi, Boyce, Gohouri, Alcaraz, Figueroa, N'Zogbia, Thomas, McCarthy, Diame, Rodallega, Di Santo. Subs: Kirkland, Watson, Boselli, Moses, Steven Caldwell, Gomez, Stam. /// Man City: Hart, Richards, Kompany, Toure, Zabaleta, De Jong, Toure Yaya, Barry, Silva, Milner, Tevez. Subs: Given, Wright-Phillips, Adam Johnson, Santa Cruz, Vieira, Jo, Boyata.
    • 14:35 Having been thrashed at home 4-0 by Blackpool and 6-0 by Chelsea in their two opening fixtures, the Latics have made a mini-revival of sorts and their early struggles are more than likely related to the fact that the Latics’ keepers have saved just 39 per cent of the shots they have faced this season, a lower proportion than any other side.
    • 14:30 In fact, Man City have only won two of their last nine Premier League matches but, in Carlos Tevez they have a man in his prime and in terrific form. He has scored 23 goals in his last 27 Premier League matches and City will look to him to kick start a stuttering campaign.
    • 14:25 And history doesn’t bode well for Mancini’s men – they haven’t won away from home in the Premier League during the month of September since beating Crystal Palace in 2004.
    • 14:20 A return of one win in four games is far from a satisfactory return for a side that have spent so lavishly and who at the very least have Champions League qualification ambitions.
    • 14:15 Hello and welcome to our live coverage of Wigan and Manchester City from the DW Stadium.
