    • 90+6' There's the final whistle! Manchester United win at the Emirates Stadium, and there are murmurs of discontent from the home fans about their side's performance and their manager's substitutions.
    • 90+6' Yellow card Song for that challenge on Rooney, who does not look happy...
    • 90+5' United break with Rooney and Welbeck, who races clear and trips over the ball as he prepares to shoot! Rooney now limping after a collision with Song.
    • 90+4' A big penalty shout goes up as Evans blocks a Mertesacker header. That clearly came off the defender's chest - the appeals more in hope than expectation.
    • 90+4' A moment of blind panic for United as Lindegaard is beaten to the ball by his own man Smalling, and Welbeck hacks it clear.
    • 90+3' Arsenal build and Yennaris crosses again from the right.. Carrick side-foots clear.
    • 90+2' Offside against Valencia... but there is no noise inside the stadium. You would expect a cauldron of passion at this point, but the crowd just seem upset with Wenger's substitution.
    • 90+1' Five minutes of stoppage time to be played, as Van Persie swings a free-kick into the box and Rosicky puts it out for a throw.
    • 90' Evra pole-axes Walcott. He holds his head in 'agony' but is booked.
    • 89' Yennaris crosses again... and Smalling heads clear. There is a foul by Vermaelen in the box.
    • 87' Arshavin finally gets on the ball. You half-expected boos from the home fans, but they keep schtum.
    • 86' Rash tackle from behind by Rosicky on Rooney. Another yellow card, and another chance for United to break up play and slow the pace down.
    • 86' Robin van Persie speaks out of turn to ref Mike Dean, and he is booked for dissent.
    • 85' Arsene Wenger crosses his arms in that peeved schoolmaster way of his. Have Arsenal got another revival in them?
    • 84' Careful or substituted - Park Chu-Young on for Ramsey.
    • 83' Rooney goes down after getting an arm in the back from Ramsey, who has already been booked and needs to be careful.
    • 82' Well, the Arshavin-for-Oxlade-Chamberlain change was roundly booed when it happened, and it just got less popular. Arshavin completely mugged there.
    • 81' GOAL!! Welbeck puts United back in front, slamming the ball home from a Valencia pull-back. It was great work from Valencia, who dribbled inside from the left and left Arshavin absolutely for dead.
    • 81' Walcott is playing on...
    • 80' Yennaris delivers a high cross from the right. Lindegaard claims, but the youngster has done OK. See what happens when you put players in the right position?
    • 79' Walcott is conscious and up on his feet. Good news. Not sure if he was briefly knocked out. Looked like it. Must surely come off though, given the risk of concussion.
    • 78' Walcott has stayed down and it looks like he might be out cold. He had an awkward landing and hit his face on the floor.
    • 77' Yennaris crosses for Walcott, who gets a touch before Lindegaard claims it.
    • 76' And another Man United sub: Park Ji-Sung on for Rafael, and the substitute is substituted!
    • 75' Manchester United sub: Paul Scholes comes on for a limping Nani.
    • 74' Arsenal sub: Andrei Arshavin replaces Oxlade-Chamberlain. Odd decision. The teenager was having a great game.
    • 73' 'Happy 91st Opa Wim' says a message on Van Persie's shirt. We think Wim is his Grandad.
    • 72' This is beginning to feel like the day City win the league. United have been so sloppy since half-time against a mediocre Arsenal side.
    • 71' GOAL!! Brilliant goal by Van Persie! Oxlade-Chamberlain played him in with a tremendous reverse pass and Van Persie hit a perfectly-placed shot inside the far post. Lindegaard gets a slight touch but not enough to keep the ball out.
    • 70' Yennaris delivers a cross from the Arsenal right and Evra clears with a header... now United look to break.
    • 68' Yennaris gives the ball away to Rooney, who wins a corner off Song.
    • 67' Koscielny slices a clearance behind for a corner, but Szczesny is nursing a hurt hand after sliding in to deny Welbeck... the game is stopped.
    • 66' Van Persie crosses early from the left but it passes over Walcott's head.
    • 66' Rooney twists and turns at the edge of the box, but he takes too long and is eventually gang-tackled.
    • 64' Mertesacker clears off the line!! Welbeck races clean through, rides a challenge from the German and gets a slow shot past Szczesny... but the defender is back to clear. Welbeck could have gone down under that Mertesacker challenge and the United player was honest - maybe too honest.
    • 63' Nani plays in Evra with a superb disguised pass... but the full-back is flagged offside. Wrongly as it turns out.
    • 62' Koscielny and Oxlade-Chamberlain combine well, and the latter shoots agonisingly wide of the left-hand post!
    • 60' Approaching the hour mark, and Arsenal are right back in this game.
    • 59' Thierry Henry is in the crowd, watching with a comfort coffee and banging his hand on the railing in front of him.
    • 58' A Van Persie cross from the left ricochets as far as Rosicky whose shot is blocked! Arsenal claim it was handball but Mike Dean dismisses the penalty claims.
    • 56' Oh, my word! Valencia tries a shot with the outside of his right boot but gets it completely wrong and the result is one of the worst shots you will ever see!
    • 55' Oxlade-Chamberlain finds Ramsey who works the ball into a shooting position but blazes it over. Better from Arsenal, though.
    • 54' Nani gets to the left byline and crosses... just in front of Welbeck!
    • 53' Evra makes a long, positive run... Arsenal win the ball back but it appears to loop out for a corner... Szczesny is adjudged to have kept that in! Not sure about that...
    • 52' That was an absolutely gift from Chris Smalling, but English football's top scorer has missed a sitter.
    • 51' WHAT A MISS!! Rosicky robs Smalling and tees up Van Persie who must surely score... but he puts it wide! Incredible!
    • 50' Walcott is shrugged off the ball so easily... Oxlade-Chamberlain, four years his junior, looks a far more impressive physical specimen.
    • 49' It's all a bit quiet around the Emirates Stadium... at least Van Persie looks more or less OK.
    • 48' Van Persie is back on but he doesn't seem to be moving freely. Can he run it off?
    • 47' A nervous moment for Arsene Wenger here as Robin van Persie limps off injured. A few Arsenal hearts in mouths...
    • 46' Second half under way. Can Arsenal respond after a fairly dismal first half.
    • 46' Half-time change - Nico Yennaris on for the hapless Djourou. He had to do it, really.
    • 45+3' That's half-time, and United deservedly lead through Antonio Valencia. If Arsenal are going to persist with the atrocious Djourou at right-back, at least get the others to help him out. Woeful.
    • 45+2' That goal had been coming - and no surprise to see it come from Djourou's side of the pitch.
    • 45+1' GOAL! Giggs has time and space to cross from the left and Valencia converts a fine header at the far post! A deserved lead for the visitors.
    • 45' Nani backheels for the overlapping Evra who cannot beat Song.
    • 45' Rafael is booked for a foul on Oxlade-Chamberlain in the build-up to that chance.
    • 44' Oxlade-Chamberlain beats Rafael and squares for Rosicky who shoots wide.
    • 43' Ramsey commits a bad foul on Ryan Giggs - a yellow card for that Welsh-on-Welsh crime.
    • 42' Rooney is down after catching a forearm in the face from Song while jumping for a header. Don't think there was much in it, and referee Dean sensibly offers to hand out no more than a talking-to.
    • 41' Nani beats Djourou, cuts inside and makes a questionable decision to shoot for the far post... he sends it well wide.
    • 40' It has been the visitors' game so far, but Arsenal's defence looks a sight sturdier than in the 8-2 last autumn.
    • 39' Valencia takes on Vermaelen, who wins possession and a free-kick off the Ecuadorean.
    • 38' Nani runs at Djourou and clips a cross in from the left... headed clear by Mertesacker.
    • 37' Rooney goes down in the box and United launch a vehement penalty appeal. It didn't look much to me... a very slight tug from Song on Rooney, but it was a heck of a dive.
    • 35' Arsenal are on the ropes a bit, and the crowd start to make some noise in an attempt to jolt them out of their slump.
    • 34' Good move down the left from United, and Evra tees up Nani whose low shot is saved by Szczesny at the near post!
    • 33' This has not been great stuff - both teams surrendering possession far too easily.
    • 32' Nani drives a low cross into the box, but Mertesacker whisks the ball away before Welbeck can get to it.
    • 30' The atmosphere inside the Emirates is hardly electric. Not quite the crackle of previous Arsenal-United games.
    • 29' Giggs swings the free-kick into the box.. Evanms jumps but cannot control his header under heavy pressure. Goal kick.
    • 28' Giggs makes a driving run inside from the right and is dispossessed by Vermaelen... who is adjudged by Mike Dean to have fouled.
    • 27' United are dominating possession and look the more positive side at the moment. Not a great deal of action at either end though, in truth.
    • 26' Welbeck chases down the right channel with Koscielny in attendance... he takes an iffy touch, then shoots high into the crowd.
    • 24' Sincere apologies for the delay in coverage - we've had technical problems that are hopefully fixed now. On the upside, you haven't missed a lot other than Phil Jones twisting his ankle.
    • 23' Valencia finds the overlapping Giggs on the right... he crosses low towards the near post, where Szczesny claims it comfortably.
    • 21' Van Persie hoofs a high ball down the line for Oxlade-Chamberlain to chase.. it bounces through to Lindegaard.
    • 20' Koscielny clears another United cross for a throw on the right... Rafael to take but Valencia messes up his control and Arsenal have it back.
    • 19' United play the corner short and Giggs crosses towards smalling... Mertesacker heads clear.
    • 18' Vermaelen makes safe, heading behind for a corner with Valencia lurking behind him.
    • 17' Here's the change: Rafael comes on for Phil Jones. He will slot straight in at right-back.
    • 16' A long stoppage here as Jones is stretchered off. He has turned his ankle. Let's hope it's not serious.
    • 15' That Jones slip opened up a chance for Arsenal but they couldn't make it pay.
    • 14' Jones is down and looks fairly nadly hurt... more injury trouble for United.
    • 13' Djourou looks for Oxlade-Chamberlain, but his pass is dismal and goes out for a throw.
    • 12' Valencia bungs a cross straight out of play for a goal-kick.
    • 10' Stat from @castrolfootball: 'Robin van Persie has been directly involved (goals/assists) in 61% of Arsenal's league goals this season' Is that all?
    • 9' United's centre-back pairing of Evans and Smalling does look vulnerable.. mind you, Jones has had some shaky moments too. See what happens when you lose two of the world's best defenders to injury?
    • 8' A good pace early on, combative and quick.
    • 7' Ramsey hits a low bobbling shot that Lindegaard fields. Safe hands from the Dane.
    • 6' How do you think the news of that City win will have affected United? You wouldn't be human if it didn't have at least some impact. Well, OK, you'd be human, but you'd be unusual.
    • 4' A younger Giggs might latch on to that Rooney pass but Djourou gets there first and puts it out for a United throw.
    • 3' Rooney has a chance to start something and finds Nani who treads on the ball and United lose momentum.
    • 2' Oxlade-Chamberlain drives into the box and plays a cross in from the left. Evans half-clears. Good satrt from the youngster on his first Premier League start.
    • 1' Game on at the Emirates! Some positional news - Vermaelen LB for Arsenal, Jones RB for United, Smalling CB. OK?
    • 16:00 If you want to get in touch on Twitter, I'll try to be as active as possible. Busy afternoon, mind. @alexchick81 Contact me on Twitter!
    • 15:58 Out they come at the Emirates Stadium! That City-Spurs game will take some beating, but if any Premier League fixture has consistently delivered over the years, it's this one.
    • 15:55 The teams assemble in the tunnel - United in their blue and black change strip, Arsenal in red and white.
    • 15:50 Arsenal have won two of their last three PL home matches against United. Their only defeat in the last six was 3-1 in January 2010 when a Manuel Almunia OG, Wayne Rooney and Ji-Sung Park scored the United goals. Arsenal team page
    • 15:45 United have won 17 of their 39 PL matches against Arsenal – more than any other club against the Gunners. This will be the 214th meeting between these clubs in all competitions – United's most-played fixture in their history.
    • 15:40 Manchester United have won five of the last six matches against Arsenal in all competitions. Their only defeat in the last nine was the 1-0 PL loss at the Emirates last season when Aaron Ramsey scored the only goal. United team page
    • 15:35 Sir Alex Ferguson: "Sunday's game is the start of a hectic spell for us. I hope we come through the programme well. It's always a hard game with Arsenal and it should be a good one. They recovered well from the 8-2, had a really good spell and qualified for the next stage of the Champions League. I don't think the game will be as open as Old Trafford earlier in the season. They've only lost six goals at home this season so we're well aware it will be a hard game."
    • 15:35 Arsene Wenger: "It's still the same. It is not the only game anymore because you have Chelsea and Man City coming in, with Liverpool still there. But it is a game that is watched all over the world. We do [lift ourselves], we think we are on a similar level. I still think that when we have everybody available we are a strong force in this league. That's why it is important that we fight very hard [in order] not to drop points."
    • 15:30 Phil Jones and Chris Smalling return for United, but there is no place for Rio Ferdinand in the XI or on the bench as he has a back injury. Ryan Giggs comes in for Paul Scholes in midfield and defender Rafael drops to the bench.
    • 15:29 And bad news for the Arsenal: Thierry Henry has not recovered from his calf injury and is not even on the bench.
    • 15:28 Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Thomas Vermaelen both start for Arsenal. Vermaelen has passed a fitness test and replaces Ignasi Miquel at left-back, while youngster Oxlade-Chamberlain is in for his first Premier League start at the expense of Andrei Arshavin. Tomas Rosicky comes in for Yossi Benayoun.
    • 15:26 United: Lindegaard; Jones, Smalling, Evans, Evra; Valencia, Carrick, Giggs, Nani; Rooney, Welbeck; subs: De Gea, Fabio, Rafael, Scholes, Park, Berbatov, Hernandez /// Arsenal: Szczesny; Djourou, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Vermaelen; Song, Ramsey, Walcott, Rosicky, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Van Persie; subs: Almunia, Park, Squillaci, Arshavin, Benayoun, Miquel, Yennaris
    • 15:23 And City see out the win. It means that if United are victorious, they will move back three points behind City at the top. An Arsenal win will see them move two points behind fourth-placed Chelsea. Premier League table
    • 15:22 And Balotelli scores the kick. Football... bloody hell, as Sir Alex Ferguson would say.
    • 15:21 There is huge drama at the Etihad Stadium - Man City have a penalty in injury time! The score currently 2-2 against Spurs. City v Spurs: LIVE
    • 15:15 Welcome to coverage of Arsenal v Manchester United in the Premier League. Kick-off is at 16:00.
