    • 84' Lovely skill from Jones to weave his way into the box and Koscielny makes a timely block as the striker was pulling the trigger.
    • 82' GOAL!! 3-1 ARSENAL!! It's a mirror image of the second as Gervinho rampages down the left this time and pulls back a pass for the on-rushing Van Persie to hit past Begovic!
    • 81' Robin van Persie’s goal today was the 200th Premier League goal by Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, where the Gunners are playing their 100th Premier League match today.
    • 79' Santos catches Whelan late. The Brazilian gets a talking-to from referee Lee Mason, but no booking.

    • 72' Arsenal fail once more to use a corner to their advantage. Arshavin's quick feet wins another set piece for the home side, which Crouch heads clear.
    • 71' Arsenal substitution: Andrei Arshavin replaces Walcott.
    • 71' Gervinho goes toe-to-toe with Whelan and wins another corner.
    • 70' Van Persie is already looking the best player on the pitch after coming off the bench. Arsenal look a lot more threatening with him out there.
    • 68' Djourou and Szczesny are very close together as the defender heads back to the keeper, who has to skilfully turn the ball away from Walters at the last minute! It looked very good, but that could have gone horribly wrong!
    • 67' Van Persie's first touch of the game is some fancy footwork inside the box. He lifts a decent ball across goal but it's just too high for the man at the far post.
    • 67' Arsenal substitution: Van Persie replaces Chamakh.
    • 66' Song plays a one-two with Arteta and drives forward, but he tries to do too much and loses the ball. Still, Arsenal have a corner.

    • 63' Chamakh plays an awful pass that goes out for a goal-kick. Arsenal have had 60% of the possession but have not created a chance since half-time. Surely not long before the crowd are crying out for Van Persie to come on.

    • 61' Arsenal beginning to turn the pressure up on Stoke, but Song's pass out to Andre Santos is intercepted by Wilkinson.
    • 59' Song muscles Crouch off the ball in midfield and plays the ball forward for Walcott to chase, but the pass was not what was required.
    • 57' Pulis was just about to bring on Salif Diao, but he will wait and see how Walters recovers first before making a switch.
    • 56' Walters is having his ankle looked at by the Stoke physio after colliding with Delap as the Potters defended a corner.
    • 55' Wilkinson is booked for tugging on the shirt of Gervinho after the Arsenal attacker spun off him. Both Stoke full-backs have seen yellow cards now.
    • 54' Robin van Persie is going for a little jog down the touchline. As is Park Chu-Young. Arsenal don't have any defenders on the bench.
    • 53' Stoke defend the Arsenal corner with ease. Arsenal retain possession but they are pressed all the way back into their own half before they can build another attack.
    • 52' Gervinho gets to the byline and his low cross goes behind gor a corner.
    • 51' Mertesacker plays Arteta into trouble and Whelan almost nicks the ball off the Spaniard, but instead he catches him late and commits the foul. Mertesacker breathes a sigh of relief.
    • 50' In 2011, Stoke have played 14 PL matches away from home and have won one. That was their 1-0 victory at West Bromwich Albion on 28 August. Their other 13 PL away matches in 2011 resulted in three draws and 10 defeats.
    • 48' Stoke fail to deal with the corner and Koscielny has a go with an overhead kick. It's sliced out to Gervinho who beats his man but loses the ball inside the congested area before he can shoot.
    • 47' Lovely sweeping move forward from Arsenal and Walcott's low cross is blocked for a corner.
    • 46' The second half is underway! No changes for either side at half-time.
    • 45+2' The whistle blows for half-time, and yet again Arsenal's fragility at set pieces is costing them.
    • 45+1' GREAT CHANCE FOR CHAMAKH!! Arteta keeps the ball in play and puts in a great cross for Chamakh, who guides his toe-poked effort wide from close range!
    • 45' Two minutes of added time are signalled.
    • 44' Good tackle from Koscielny after Gervinho sloppily gives the ball away to Walters. The French defender even wins a goal kick from the challenge.

    • 35' BIG SHOUT FOR A PENALTY!! Wilkinson grapples with Chamakh as the pair tussle for the ball inside the Stoke box and the striker is hauled to the ground! No penalty says the referee! That's a big call.
    • 34' GOAL!! STOKE LEVEL!! Glenn Whelan's free-kick is floated into the box and the ball is pinged around the Arsenal six-yard box before Crouch prods hom from close range!
    • 33' Crouch and Koscielny both leap for a long ball and Stoke are awarded the free-kick.
    • 32' Andre Santos nicks the ball off Laurent Koscielny's boot as he trundles back into position at left-back. No pressure on the Arsenal defenders from Walters or Crouch there.
    • 31' Whitehead goes into the referee's book for a sliding challenge on Arteta. The Stoke midfielder did pull out at the last minute, but it was rash.
    • 30' It will be interesting to see how going behind affects Stoke's game plan. Tony Pulis will surely think abut last weekend's game against Sunderland for hope that his players can still get on the scoresheet..
    • 29' Ramsey picks out Chamakh who tries to move the ball on to Arteta, only he does not read the Spaniard's run and plays it behind him.
    • 28' That's Gervinho's second goal for Arsenal following his summer move from Lille, and his first at the Emirates.
    • 27' GOAL!! 1-0 ARSENAL!! Another lifted ball over the top from Ramsey and Gervinho chests the ball and hits it past Begovic!
    • 25' Neat, patient build-up from Arsenal but Stoke are keeping them at bay for the most part.
    • 24' Etherington sends a free-kick into the Arsenal box. Djourou rises highest to head clear.
    • 22' The free-kick comes to Gervinho at the far post and he lays it off for Ramsey to strike from the edge of the area... The Welshman's catches his strike well but the ball whistles past the post!
    • 21' Arsenal have a free-kick tot he right of the area. The Gunners send plenty forward for Arteta's delivery.
    • 20' Kieran McKevitt has got in touch via Twitter: "Smart move with RVP we all know how leg breaks are with Stoke, would be devastating if it happened to RVP."
    • 19' Arteta manages to keep the ball in play in the Stoke half and Whitehead slides in with a tackle and sends the Spaniard tumbling as he follows through. Arsenal only get a throw-in from referee Lee Mason.
    • 18' Plenty of whistles and boos for Delap as he prepares to hurl the ball into the Arsenal box. That's the most noise the home crowd has made so far in this match. In any event, Arsenal clear the ball and Dean Whitehead fouls Arteta as he tries to win the second ball.
    • 17' Good move down the left from Walters and Wilson, and Walcott makes the tackle to give Delap his first chance of a long throw.
    • 16' Rory Delap slips a ball down the left channel for Walters, but the striker is not on the same wavelength and the ball runs safely to Szczesny.
    • 15' Lovely ball lifted over the Stoke defence from Ramsey and Gervinho takes it on his chest. Asmir Begovic is quick off his line to deny the Ivorian a shot from close range.
    • 14' Stoke not letting Arsenal have any time on the ball in midfield. Crouch drops back to stop Arteta's progress forward.
    • 13' Very quiet so far at the Emirates. The Stoke fans are the ones making themselves heard.
    • 12' Crouch has scored five career Premier League goals against Arsenal, including a hat trick against them for Liverpool. This is his equal-most against another club, level with Blackburn, Everton and Middlesbrough.
    • 11' Peter Crouch picks out Jon Walters with a flick-on but the Ireland forward's early effort flaots into the crowd.
    • 10' Mikel Arteta's corner is met by Chamakh's header, but it's a poor effort that bounces up off the turf and well wide. Groans of disappointment from the home crowd.
    • 9' Marc Wilson gets in a good sliding tackle on Walcott and concedes a corner.
    • 8' Arsenal beginning to boss the possession now. It's one-way traffic at the moment.
    • 7' Stoke have managed just six shots on target and one goal (from a penalty) in three visits to the Emirates Stadium.
    • 6' Ramsey slips the ball through for Theo Walcott on the edge of the box and Ryan Shawcross gets there to intercept.
    • 5' Johan Djourou brings the ball through the midfield before pinging a good ball out to Santos. The Brazilian gets his pass around Andy Wilkinson but it's cleared before a red shirted player can meet it.
    • 4' Aaron Ramsey drops deep to get Arsenal moving. The Welshman scored a late winner in the Champions League game in Marseille in midweek.
    • 3' Stoke string a dozen or so passes together inside the Arsenal half before Matthew Etherington cuts in from the right and drills a low shot wide of Wojciech Szczesny's goal.

    • 13:25 This will be the club’s 100th Premier League match at the Emirates Stadium. They have won 66, drawn 22 and lost 11 of their 99 Premier League matches at the stadium, scoring 198 goals and conceding 76. • 13:20 Stoke have lost both league matches which have imediately followed Europa League group games this season, something manager Tony Pulis believes is a psychological issue. He said: "We've looked at the Prozone statistics and it shows the lads did as much running at Sunderland and Swansea. It's a mental thing rather than a physical problem. Our running stats in those two matches were very, very good. But we didn't look as sharp mentally as maybe we could be." Pulis works on mind game
    • 13:15 Wenger did reveal in Friday's pre-match press conference that he was contemplating resting Van Persie, who has already played 16 matches this season already and 41 this year. He said: "On Monday I decide always to rest him and on Friday I play him again. It is always a difficult decision (leaving him out) to make at the moment, but I will have to do it. We will assess everybody, then I will make the decision for Sunday. I will have to rotate a little bit." Wenger hails 'complete' Van Persie
    • 13:10 Head-to-head: Arsenal have won four of their last five Premier League matches against Stoke, but lost in their last meeting – 3-1 at the Britannia Stadium back in May. Stoke have lost all three of their previous Premier League visits to the Emirates and their last six away league matches against Arsenal in total, since a 1 -0 victory in old Division One in August 1981.
    • 13:05 Stoke arrive at the Emirates in eighth place, two points and three places better off than their hosts. A win for Arsenal would lift them up to sixth in the table, while victory for the Potters could see them go as high as fifth. Premier League table
    • 13:00 Former Arsenal defender Matthew Upson starts for Stoke but another ex-Gunner, winger Jermaine Pennant, misses out through injury. Despite both scoring in the midweek win over Maccabi Tel Aviv, Kenwyne Jones and Cameron Jerome are dropped in favour of Jon Walters and Peter Crouch. Stoke City team page
    • 13:00 Confirmation there that Van Persie starts against the Potters on the bench, with Marouane Chamakh playing in his stead.
