    • - Don't forget you can watch highlights of this match, along with every Premier League game, from 00:01 on Thursday morning (UK only).
    • 90+3' Gervinho takes the ball into the left-hand corner, where they are able to see out the dying seconds as the final whistle goes and Arsenal have overtaken Tottenham to move into third place! Thanks for joining me tonight - I'd love to hear your thoughts on this big night for the Gunners and also of that goal that never was from Drenthe. Drop me a comment on Twitter - @liamhappe
    • 90+2' ANOTHER offside against Everton out on the right. There has been an insane amount of flag decisions. Of course, none more crucial than that one against Drenthe's goal in the first half.
    • 90+1' Nope, still three minutes. Offside flag thwarts another Everton attack from a raking ball upfield.
    • 90' Jelavic leaves the field for treatment. I had us down for three minutes of stoppage time, but it may well be four now.
    • 89' Everton win a corner, but it soon leads to an Arsenal free-kick when Fellaini needlessly shoves Koscielny.
    • 88' Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger acts in the opposite manner with a defensive substitution: Johan Djourou is on for Roscky.
    • 87' Cahill makes way for Denis Stracqualursi in an attacking final change for Everton.
    • 86' Baines snuffs out a near-chance for Gervinho to have a dig from inside the box.
    • 85' Good headed flick-on by Jelavic almost falls into the path of Anichebe, but Vermaelen does well to keep the replacement striker from the ball long enough for Szczesny to collect.
    • 84' Full time at White Hart Lane and it's finished 1-1. If Arsenal can hold on for six minutes, they are third.
    • 83' Arsenal zip forward with Everton pressing high, but van Persie slips as he goes to meet Gervinho's low cross from the left.
    • 82' Pienaar whips in a free-kick deep on the right wing, which Anichebe heads over the bar after some head tennis around the danger zone.
    • 81' Rafael van der Vaart has equalised for Tottenham at the Lane, but as it stands Arsenal will nonetheless finish in third.
    • 80' Jelavic overcooks a lob attempt and it's well over.
    • 79' And now we finally get the first subs of the match. It's a double change for Everton with Drenthe making way for Victor Anichebe, and Magaye Gueye on for Osman. Meanwhile, Arsenal replace Walcott with Gervinho.
    • 78' Drenthe! Over the bar from the second ball of the set piece.
    • 77' Cross from the left is cut out at the expense of an Everton corner.
    • 76' For some reason, Vermaelen is lurking out on the left wing but it translates into a good cross which falls with Rosicky... who handles in controlling it before shooting. Free-kick Everton.
    • 75' Gibbs with a through pass on the left-hand side of the box finds van Persie, who is at a tight angle once again but still manages to force a parry from Howard!
    • 74' It's only half-cleared and falls with Ramsey... takes a touch but has his shot blocked. Everton break through Pienaar and Fellaini but cannot sustain it as the numbers game catches up to them.
    • 73' Walcott's short pass to Ramsey leads to a low shot well saved by Howard! Corner coming up.
    • 72' Tevez sets up Nasri to put City ahead at the Eithad.
    • 71' Another Arsenal counter, another offside flag. Van Persie this time.
    • 70' Now Pienaar catches Sagna. Are Arsenal finally managing to suffocate this game and make good on their lead?
    • 69' Walcott is caught offside. All four Prem games tonight were sitting at 0-1 to the away side, until Aguero converted a penalty for Man City to equalise at home to Chelsea.
    • 68' Cahill fires off-target. Tempo slowing down a tad here now.
    • 67' Foul by van Persie on Hibbert and Everton work the free-kick short from inside their own half.
    • 66' Despite such an even second half so far, possession still favours the away side 65/35.
    • 65' Koscielny goes down clutching his head when a failed overhead kick attempt appears to mildly graze his hair. When nothing is given and Arsenal break, he's back up on his feet within seconds. Huh.
    • 64' Cahill finds it rather easy holding off two defenders to move into the box and square a ball to nobody but Vermaelen, who hoofs clear.
    • 63' Stoke have taken the lead at Tottenham! Cameron Jerome with the goal.
    • 62' Pienaar tees up Fellaini! Tipped wide of the far post by the keeper! But the flag was up. And this time, rightly up.
    • 61' Replays show Drenthe did appear to foul Roscky in that incident on 59' - though it was actually just outside the box.
    • 60' The pair get away with just a telling-off.
    • 59' A flimsy shout for a penalty from Arsenal is waved away before Song and Jelavic come together before exchanging shoves.
    • 58' Now Baines mugs Sagna and whips in a driven cross from the left which Fellaini almost gets a foot onto! End to end stuff at the moment.
    • 57' Cross from the right is headed down into the path of Van Persie! Hits the post! No, doesn't matter, flag was up.
    • 56' Jelavic goes down under pressure from Vermaelen... but replays show Mason makes the right decision in ignoring it. He played for that one. Not a dive, but he made an absolute meal of the contact.
    • 55' It's punched half-clear by Howard, and Arteta's half-volley from 20 yards on the second ball is blocked.
    • 54' Now the away side break and have another corner.
    • 53' Decent cross from the right by Hibbert is headed from danger before hesitant attacking by Everton leads to a flag against Fellaini.
    • 52' Cahill is booked for absolutely mowing down Koscielny. Would have been a booking in most games even if the Aussie hadn't already been warned.
    • 51' The home fans are really getting behind their side early in this half.
    • 50' Another weak set-piece and Arsenal defend it comfortably.
    • 49' Fellaini's decent through pass into the box from the left is precautiously put behind for a corner by Koscielny.
    • 48' A collision between former Ajax team-mates Pienaar and Vermaelen leaves the Everton midfielder clutching his head.
    • 47' The home side win an early free-kick out on the left, which is crossed into the path of Fellaini and Jelavic. It's hard to tell who had more of a head on that, but either way it has to be caught on the line by a stretching Szczesny.
    • 46' Arsenal get the game back underway.
    • 45+2' Half-time at Goodison Park. Vermaelen's early header the difference between the two sides. Will the Gunners finish the day in third place? Would love to hear your thoughts on Twitter - @liamhappe
    • 45+1' Just the one minute of added time at the end of the first half.
    • 45' Rosicky! Nice effort from the right-hand side of the box, parried at the near post by Howard.
    • 44' Jelavic is caught offside. Plenty of use for that flag in this half.
    • 43' Fellaini moving to assist Jelavic up top rather than Cahill is working for the hosts thus far, I must admit.
    • 42' Another debatable flag against Drenthe on the right before he can smash a low cross into the six yard box. Replays show again it was another Everton player (Fellaini) who was off, not the Dutchman.
    • 41' It's half-time over at White Hart Lane and it remains Tottenham 0-0 Stoke. If scores stay like this, Arsenal will overtake their arch rivals just one month after being on the verge of falling 13 points behind. Matchcast
    • 40' Osman, Pienaar and Baines work a neat passing move from the free-kick, but Vermaelen and Koscielny do well to prevent the latter from capping the play off with a shot at goal.
    • 39' Mason finally decides to get that yellow card out, and it goes to Sagna for a late slide in on Pienaar. Definitely worthy of yellow, but not the first one in this match.
    • 38' Cahill does a great job cutting out another intricate Arsenal passing flow.
    • 37' Pienaar goes for a decent cross chested down into his path by Jelavic, but is penalised for a foul on Vermaelen. Bit unfortunate there, he had every right to challenge for it.
    • 36' Cahill is given a warning for a dangerous late slide on Gibbs.
    • 35' Risky stuff at the back from Arsenal as both Szczesny and Koscielny hesitate with casual short passes, each having one closed down by Jelavic. They get away with it this time, however.
    • 34' Arteta fouls Pienaar by the halfway line, but another long delivery of a free-kick doesn't cause the visitors any problems.
    • 33' Pienaar slips attempting a through pass, and it goes all the way off for a goal kick.
    • 32' Replays show that it was nowhere near offside. Jelavic was, but he had nothing to do with the attack whatsoever - a rule Arsenal have used to great success themselves over the years.
    • 31' Song gives the ball away in a dangerous area, and Drenthe is put through by Fellaini! He has it in the net, but it's ruled offside.
    • 30' Fellaini sends a tame cross into the box which is dealt with by the away defence.
    • 29' Great ball over the top on the right from Walcott to Sagna, which Distin is forced to put out for an attacking throw to avoid a prime chance of a decent cross.
    • 28' Everton have their first corner, but Pienaar puts it straight onto the roof of the net. Goal kick.
    • 27' Again van Persie flatters to deceive with the delivery and it's easily cleared. Perhaps he should be in the danger zone looking to get on the end of these.
    • 26' Pienaar looks somewhat shocked he wasn't booked for a foul on Walcott. I think everyone else is, as well. Very lenient stuff from the ref to just verbally warn the South African.
    • 25' Arsenal have already had eight shots on goal to Everton's one. Two on target for the Gunners, none for the Toffees.
    • 24' Another offside against Everton. The Belgian this time triggering the flag.
    • 23' Arteta feels he was fouled by ex-team mate Fellaini, but Mason tells him to get up.
    • 22' Offside against Jelavic as he receives a ball from Fellaini on the left.
    • 21' Heitinga fouls compatriot van Persie just inside the Everton half, and Arsenal work the free-kick short for possession.
    • 20' Bright start from Arsenal, though Everton have been able to find a few holes on the counter. With an early lead, you'd think the Gunners will strive to close those gaps and pick their moments at the other end.
    • 19' Song has a header blocked from the in-swinger, before Rosicky meets the same fate driving the second ball low from outside the area.
    • 18' Poor effort this time fails to beat the first man at the near post. They will have another one, however, as Vermaelen stays upfield to have a shot from van Persie's cut-back deflected behind.
    • 17' Third corner coming up for the visitors now, with Gibbs the next player having to shake off a bump.
    • 16' Heitinga juuuuuust gets to a loose ball before RVP can pounce.
    • 15' Arsenal have had 68% of the possession in these opening 15 minutes.
    • 14' The free-kick is sent long into the penalty area, where Fellaini nods it across goal for Osman to beat Jelavic to it, only to head wide.
    • 13' Vermaelen comes in late on Osman just inside the Arsenal half.
    • 12' Pienaar sends in an early cross which Sagna has to head away from danger. Drenthe is unable to keep the pressure on from the opposite flank.
    • 11' van Persie claimed the assist for the goal with the corner delivery.
    • 10' Arteta now with a simple through pass for Van Persie! Blocked by Howard! Ramsey on the rebound! Closed down by a defender! And how Howard has it.
    • 9' The defender heads home the corner and Arsenal currently sit in third with Spurs still goalless. Hibbert cuts out a chance for Arteta.
    • 8' VERMAELEN! 1-0!
    • 7' Now Ramsey has a low drive from just inside the area blocked by a sliding Distin, which will give the visitors a second corner.
    • 6' Deft diagonal ball from Rosicky finds van Persie, who decides not to head at goal from close range but instead nod it backwards into the path of an unmarked Ramsey... who volleys it over. Really should have been at least a shot on target at two points in that move.
    • 5' Everton break, but Jelavic does not read a short pass and the ball returns to the Gunners.
    • 4' A cross from the right-back leads to the first corner of the contest, which is eventually cleared by first Distin and then Pienaar.
    • 3' Sagna takes the first heavy bump of the evening, over-running into the hoardings. He looks like he will shake this one off.
    • 2' A floated Gibbs centre from the left wing is headed away by Baines before Walcott can attack it inside the 6-yard box.
    • 1' The home side kick us off.
    • 20:00 Z-Cars brings out the two sides, decked in Mumba tribute t-shirts. The former Arsenal player is recovering from that heart attack suffered at the weekend, and a minute's applause is observed by all at Goodison Park.
    • 19:55 Tim Cahill has scored for Everton in three of the last four games against Arsenal at Goodison Park.
    • 19:50 Arsenal have scored more goals (80) against Everton than any team against any single opponent in Premier League history.
    • 19:45 Everton didn’t manage a single shot on target when they lost at Emirates Stadium back in December.
    • 19:40 Lee Mason is the man in the middle tonight. He awarded a controversial offside goal to Everton’s Louis Saha when these two sides met at the Emirates last season.
    • 19:35 Arsene Wenger: "It's too early to say (that only the three London clubs are battling for third and fourth place). I wouldn't completely rule out Newcastle nor Liverpool. Of course the most obvious battle is between Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal but you have to wait two or three games. There are 10 games to go, but three games ago we were 10 points behind Tottenham. Things can change quickly."
    • 19:30 Everton assistant boss Steve Round: "Jack Rodwell's a little bit of a doubt with a slight hamstring injury. We've got to monitor that because he's had it on and off. He may have a fitness test tomorrow, we'll just see how he wakes up in the morning. Seamus Coleman is also a doubt because he's got a slight thigh strain, but again he'll be touch and go for tomorrow, but both should be expected to be fit for the weekend."
    • 19:25 TEAMS - Everton: Howard, Hibbert, Heitinga, Distin, Baines, Pienaar, Fellaini, Osman, Drenthe, Cahill, Jelavic. Subs: Mucha, Jagielka, Stracqualursi, McFadden, Neville, Gueye, Anichebe. /// Arsenal: Szczesny, Sagna, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Gibbs, Walcott, Arteta, Song, Ramsey, Rosicky, van Persie. Subs: Fabianski, Andre Santos, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Djourou, Gervinho, Chamakh, Benayoun.
    • 19:20 Gooners worldwide could be in a fantastic mood tonight should their side get a superior result to Spurs, who take on Stoke. They are just one point behind Tottenham as it stands, with both sides on a goal difference of 18. Table
