    • 74' Johnson is teed up for a volley inside the area, but he strikes it into the turf and wide.
    • 72' With 20 minutes or so remaining, you have to wonder whether or not Bolton will crumble now. As things stand only Wigan have a worse goal difference than the Trotters.
    • 70' That's Balotelli's 11th league goal of the season, but credit must go to Johnson for the assist, as well as Yaya Toure for instigating the move.
    • 69' GOAL!! Adam Johnson somehow wriggles his way to the bylien and finds Balotelli with a cheeky backheel that goes under Bogdan and the Italian striker finishes into the unguarded net!
    • 68' City have now had 20 shots (not including Pratley's), with eight on target.

    • 64' Praatley hits his own crossbar from 20 yards! The midfielder prodded his foot in to try and dispossess Dzeko and ended up toe-punting it over Bogdan! The frame of the goal came to Pratley's rescue there!

    • 59' Johnson pings in a decent cross to the far post for Kompany, who jumps a little too early and can only head wide.
    • 58' Pratley penalised for a clumsy foul on Pizarro, who takes the free-kick quickly. He has looked good on his first start for City.
    • 56' Yaya Toure slides in with a tackle after a disinterested looking Balotelli gives the ball away. City looking a bit disjointed at the moment.
    • 54' Miyaichi is played down the left wing but Kolo Toure does just enough to shepherd the ball out of play.
    • 53' Bolton have lost each of their last 13 PL away matches when behind at half time.
    • 52' Sam Ricketts hurls in a long throw, but it's not that long and headed away with ease.
    • 51' Balotelli beats the ground in frustration after he felt he was pushed over just inside the box, but referee Clattenburg waves play on.
    • 50' Barry is in space on the left and shoots, but he gets his boot right under the ball and it flies high into the crowd.
    • 49' The set piece is cleared with ease, and Bolton have to play it all the way back to Bogdan.
    • 48' Yaya Toure turns on the edge of the box, but his shot is blocked by a defender. Could be in for a repeat of the start to the first half here. Having said that, Bolton have a corner.
    • 47' Gareth Barry slips the ball through for Balotelli, but Bogdan is quick off his line to block the shot!
    • 46' The second half is underway!
    • 45+2' The whistles blows for half-time, and City lead courtesy of Gretar Steinsson's own goal. in truth, the Premier League leaders could have been out of sight within the first 10 minutes.
    • 45+1' Two minutes of stoppage time to be played.
    • 45' Lovely play from city as they work the ball out fromt he backa nd from one side to the other. Seemingly every player gets a touch before Balotelli backheels into Kolo Toure's path, but the defender rushes his shot and Bogdan makes the save.
    • 43' So far, accoriding to the stats, Botlon have had more shots on target than City. The count reads five to four.
    • 41' Gretar Steinsson has now been credited with the own goal. It was his first ever in the division and Bolton’s first since March 2010. The only clubs yet to score an own goal are Chelsea and Newcastle.
    • 39' Balotelli rolls past Knight and goes to ground inside the box, but referee Mark Clattenburg waves play on. To be fair to Balotelli, he does not appeal too much.
    • 38' Bolton fail to make anything of the corner, but they have been given a couple of signs that their one-goal lead is not set in stone.
    • 37' MIYAICHI! The Japanese midfielder squirms his way past Kolo Toure, opens up his body and hits a low shot for the far corner that Hart tips around the post! Great effort, great save!
    • 35' Great vision from Balotelli to slide a through ball into Yaya Toure's path, but the Ivorian midfielder was just too slow to react and could not beat Bogdan to it.
    • 34' That's more like it! Good move forward and Reo-Coker feeds David N'Gog inside the box... The shot from the right stings the palms of Hart, who always had it covered.
    • 33' Bolton playing some decent enough football when given the time, but as soon as they are put under any pressure by City they seem to just give the ball away.
    • 31' Bad news for Gael Clichy: his 'goal' has now been credited as an own goal.
    • 30' Balotelli picks the ball up from deep, moves forward and fires a decent effort over the bar. Again, however, Bogdan never looked unduly worried.
    • 29' It's Balotelli who shoots, and he gets his curling free-kick over the wall but it did not have nearly enough dip on it to trouble Bogdan.
    • 28' You have to fear for Bolton now. Even Kolo Toure is showing off his skills, rolling the bal under both feet near the corner flag in front of Pratley. now the home side have a free-kick in a good, central position for someone to shoot.
    • 26' Manchester City’s average age of their starting line-up is older than 27 years for the first time this season, and first time since May 2010.
    • 25' Assuming that goes down as Clichy's goal, it's his first in the Premier League since November 2008, and only his second ever!
    • 24' GOAL!! Gael Clichy takes a shot from range on the left and it takes a massive deflection off Steinsson's head and goes in at Bogdan's near post!
    • 22' Nasri is caught offside as he tries to reach a ball down the right channel.
    • 21' In fact, it is 320 minutes (five hours and 20 minutes) of PL football since Bolton last scored at the Etihad/Eastlands – Kevin Nolan netting in their 4-2 defeat in December 2007.
    • 20' Bolton have failed to win in their last six PL matches against Manchester City, losing each of the last four.
    • 19' Man City substitution: Kolo Toure replaces Zabaleta. The Argentine full-back walks off the pitch, but he is clearly in some discomfort.
    • 18' Pratley glances his header high and wide of the far post.
    • 17' Nigel Reo-Coker is perhaps fortunate not to booked for a late sliding tackle on Pizarro. The two shake hands and the game continues. At the other end, Zabaleta blocks Myaichi's cross for another Bolton corner.
    • 17' @pirutman sums up Bolton's performance so far via Twitter: "Bolton should really be defending much better than what they are doing at the moment. School boy stuff."
    • 16' Yaya Toure cuts into the box and Knight challenges him for yet another corner. Bogdan claims this one with authority.
    • 15' Nasri is in some discomfort after a collision with Pratley, but he will soldier on. Expect that to happen a lot this afternoon!
    • 14' Pizarro's corner is not the best, and Bolton watch a tame overhead kick effort with relief.
    • 13' Great play from Yaya Toure to send Zabaleta away down the rigth. The Argentine's cross is chested behind for a corner by Gretar Steinsson.
    • 12' Balotelli beats the offside trap, surges forward and fires over the bar just as Wheater catches up with him!
    • 11' Myaichi cuts in fromt he left and hits a low shot at goal, but Hart is right behind the low effort all the way.
    • 10' Neat and patient build-up from City. Balotelli is man-handled by Wheater and seems to let the ball run past him in protest. Referee Mark Clattenburg does not stop play.
    • 9' Despite how bad they have been, Bolton could be out of the Premier League relegation zone if they win and other results at the bottom of the table go their way. Premier League table
    • 8' It's incredible that this game is still goalless. City should be 3-0 up already, and we're not even past the 10-minute mark.
    • 7' Manchester City won 3-2 when the club's last met in the PL in August at the Reebok Stadium. They have completed the PL double over Bolton twice before - in 2003-04 and 2010-11.
    • 6' A clever corner from David Pizarro hit low into the path of Johnson, but Darren Pratley denies him with an excellent tackle.
    • 5' Knight heads a cross from deep behind for City's first corner of the afternoon.
    • 4' Here come City again! Yaya Toure feeds Adam Johnson who cuts across to Ballotelli... Hit wide of the far post! City are rampant right from the off!
    • 4' Ryo Miyaichi takes Bolton's first corner of the match, but it's all too easy for Joe Hart to come out and claim it.
    • 3' Bolton carved up again down the right as Mario Balotelli strikes a crisp low effort off the post. Nasri follows up and Adam Bogdan makes the save before Zat Knight eventally clears!
    • 2' Great early move from City as Pablo Zabaleta is sent scampering to the byline. The full-back pulls the ball back for Nasri, but it gets stuck under his feet and the eventual shot is blocked!
    • 1' The match is underway!
    • 14:58 The players are out on the pitch now. We're almost ready to go on a sunny day in Manchester.

    • 14:50 MATCH ODDS: Man City 1/8, Bolton 20/1, Draw 15/2
    • 14:45 FACT: Manchester City have won their last 18 Premier League home games and could equal the competition’s longest ever run of home victories set by Manchester United. If they win this match, City will also become the first top flight side to win their first 14 home games of the season since Newcastle United in 1906-07 who won their opening 18 matches on home soil.
    • 14:40 FACT: Bolton have dropped just two points from winning positions this season, fewer than any other side. What that stat doesn't point out is how rare those winning positions have been - only six victories in the league all season.
    • 14:35 FACT: Ivan Klasnic has scored three goals in his last four appearances against Man City. You have to wonder, given their position, why Owen Coyle keeps benching him.
    • 14:30 FACT: Manchester City have lost just one of the last 10 Premier League games against Bolton (W6 D3 L1) and won the last four in a row.
    • 14:30 Owen Coyle: "Who is to say we can't go to Manchester City and get a result?. We have to trust ourselves, believe in what we are doing, and we will look to get something from the game. We know we are capable of giving big performances and winning big games. That is how we have to treat every game now. As much as we are still in the FA Cup, every league game now is like a cup final."
    • 14:25 Roberto Mancini on Italy's decision to exclude Mario Balotelli: "I think it is correct. We know that Mario is a top player but he should improve his behaviour. For the national team it is important. When you go to play in the European Championship and you only play three or five games, you should have good behaviour."
    • 14:20 BOLTON TEAM NEWS: Midfielder Mark Davies has recovered from a hamstring injury and starts, but Kevin Davies misses out with a knee problem. Full-back Gretar Steinsson has passed a fitness test on a calf problem suffered on Iceland duty. On-loan Dedryck Boyata is ineligible to play against his parent club while senior stars such as Ivan Klasnic, Jussi Jaaskelainen, Chris Eagles, Fabrice Muamba and Martin Petrov are all on the bench.
    • 14:20 CITY TEAM NEWS: No injury worries for City with a full squad to chose from, although Carlos Tevez is not match-fit and won't be for a few weeks. David Pizarro gets a start with David Silva and James Milner on the bench. Balotelli leads the line, Aguero again a sub. Micah Richards is not even in the squad, oddly, with Pablo Zabaleta starting at right-back.
    • 14:15 Referee: Mark Clattenburg (Tyne & Wear)
    • 14:15 TEAMS - Man City: Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Lescott, Clichy, Toure Yaya, Barry, Johnson, Pizarro, Nasri, Balotelli; Subs: Pantilimon, Milner, Dzeko, Kolarov, Aguero, Silva, Toure /// Bolton: Bogdan, Steinsson, Knight, Wheater, Ricketts, Mark Davies, Reo-Coker, Ream, Pratley, Miyaichi, Ngog; Subs: Jaaskelainen, Robinson, Muamba, Eagles, Petrov, Klasnic, Sordell
