    • 90+4' The final whistle blows, and mercifully so for QPR, who could barely have envisioned a worse opening game on their return to the Premier League.
    • 90+3' CLINT HILL SENT OFF! The QPR defender is shown a straight red card after tussling with Petrov! That is very harsh, if anything Petrov was the instigator there. But referee Martin Atkinson loves a red card, he showed 13 last season, and now he has given his first marching orders of 2011/12!
    • 90+2' QPR just can't get a break at the moment as they have a pair of shots blocked in the area and Muamba coolly exits with the ball by doing a slick pirouette!
    • 90' Three minutes of added time are signalled. They can't end soon enough for Neil Warnock and co.
    • 89' Bolton's have only won a Premier League away match by a greater margin than four goals on one previous occasion, their 5-0 win at Leicester City on the opening day of the 2001/2002 season, almost exactly 10 years ago. (Infostrada)

    • 83' Bolton substitution: Darren Pratley, a summer signing from Swansea, replaces Reo-Coker.
    • 81' Bolton substitution: Mark Davies replaces Eagles.
    • 80' Muamba's first goal since December has made the final 10 minutes very scary for QPR. They will be thinking about first-day drubbings of the past, and this game is headed that way now.
    • 79' GOAL!! 4-0 Bolton!! Klasnic spies the run of Muamba, slips the ball into his path and the England U21 midfielder calmly sidefoots past Kenny to strip any respectability away from this scoreline for QPR!
    • 77' Buzsaky strikes and hits the wall. Helguson helps keep the pressure on for QPR but Bolton get away with winning a throw.

    • 72' QPR substitutions: Heidar Helguson replaces Taarabt and Akos Buzsaky replaces Smith.
    • 71' That goal has surely condemned QPR to an opening day defeat. Time to look ahead to Everton next Saturday, guys.
    • 70' GOAL!! 3-0 Bolton!! All over at Loftus Road as Klasnic's shot on the turn inside the area takes a massive deflection off Orr!
    • 69' After lsoing their last five games of last season, Bolton look well on course to getting this campaign off to a winning start. For QPR, this looks like their fourth straight home defeat.
    • 68' Hard lines on Gabbidon and QPr there. Bolton had ben the side on top, but the Premier League new boys don't deserve to be two goals down.
    • 67' GOAL!! 2-0 Bolton!! So harsh on QPR. Eagles fires in a low free-kick and Danny Gabbidon slides in and beats his own keeper! That was just after he made that great block too!
    • 66' Petrov comes forward, he's in the QPR area and unleashes a strike... blocked by Gabbidon! The Wales defender did well to charge across the area and make the parry there!
    • 65' Petrov finds Davies and scampers forward. The Bolton captain makes the return pass but it is anticipated well by Orr.
    • 63' Derry makes a clearance down the line for Taarabt to chase, but he is fouled by Fabrice Muamba and play is called back.
    • 62' Eagles strikes and hits the wall. Petrov collects the loose ball and gets to the byline, but concedes a goal kick.
    • 61' Bolton have a free-kick within shooting range. Eagles, Klasnic and Petrov all fancy this...
    • 60' QPR counter well, thanks in no small part to a lovely bit of control from Taarabt. Smith plays a one-two on the edge of the box before firing over the bar. Encouraging signs for QPR. They are not out of this game yet.
    • 59' Bolton have got themselves another corner. Knight reaches Petrov's delivery but guides his header away from goal.
    • 58' Born to Run writes in with a fair assessment of QPR's performance: "Thats a shame to give up that goal right on half time. QPR played well despite the nerves they must be feeling so hopefully they can score early and then pull it out although a home draw would not be a total disaster"
    • 57' Taarabt with another effort from ragne, and he's getting closer. This time he surges in from the left and bends an effort just wide of the far upright!
    • 56' Taarabt puts a first blot on his copybook by overhitting his corner to a woeful degree. He has looked great today though.
    • 55' The ball sits up nicely for Taarabt to strike from the edge of the box, and the shot is defelcted wide for a corner.
    • 53' Swift move forward from QPr and Taarabt fires in a good cross but it's over Campbell's head.
    • 52' First booking of the match goes to Hill for a foul on Reo-Coker.
    • 51' Great play from Campbell with his back to goal. He finds Taarabt on the right and the captain plays it back in to Faurlin, but the Argentine can't catch his half-volley well enough to trouble Jaaskelainen.
    • 49' Eagles is back ont he field and play continues. Smith surges forward down the left but his attempted reverse pass is easily read.
    • 48' Eagles is receiving treatment now for a knock to the ankle after a clash with veteran hard man Shaun Derry.
    • 47' Klasnic works the space on the edge of the box and his shot forces a decent stop from Kenny! Good shot, good save.
    • 46' QPR get the second half underway!
    • 45+8' Half-time is called at Loftus ORoad, and so far Gary Cahill's beauty of a strike is the difference between the two sides.
    • 45+7' More pressure from Bolton, and Davies wins them a throw near the corner flag.
    • 45+6' After a minute or two, as dazed Bothroyd gets to his feet. Hopefully half-time will give him time to recover fully.
    • 45+4' QPR respond well and they have a corner, but Bothroyd looks to have hurt himself. Knight landed on the back of the striekr's head as they both wnet of the ball at the near post!
    • 45+3' That's Cahill's first goal since he scored twice against former club Aston Villa back in March.
    • 45+2' GOAL! 1-0 BOLTON! Gary Cahill scores an absolute pearler! Steinsson goes short with his throw this time, and Eagles plays it square to the centre-back from the edge of the box, and he curls a wonderful strike right into the top corner! Kenny had no chance!
    • 45+1' Bolton taking their turn to put the pressure on as the half draws to a close. Steinsson hurls in a succession of long throws, all defended.
    • 45' Five minutes of added time are signalled at the end of the first half, mainly due to Dyer's early injury.
    • 44' Davies hares after a ball down the right channel and Kenny is out of his area to shield it for a goal kick. Davies isn't having that and hacks the keeper down! He somehow escapes without a booking.
    • 43' QPR, Norwich, Swansea... Are these the three most 'footballing' sides ever to come up to the Premier League in the same year? Quite possibly.
    • 42' Some nice one-touch football from both sides in midfield, but neither are able to earn a chance from it.
    • 41' A long throw into the Bolton box again causes some problems, but eventually the Trotters scramble it clear.
    • 39' Bolton come forward and Petrov has options but goes for the strike from range... it canons off a QPR defender and a follow-up effort from a Bolton player flies into the crowd.
    • 38' Bolton send their big men forward for Petrov's free-kick deep in midfield. The delivery is a teasing floater but it ends up in Kenny's arms.
    • 37' By way of compensation, referee Martin Atkinson gives Bolton a free-kick when it looked as though Taarabt was the one being impeded, not Steinsson.
    • 36' Eagles is unfortuante to be called up for a foul on Faurlin in midfield. The former Burnley man appeared to have won the ball.
    • 35' Some Route One from QPR as Kenny's long punt forward is nodded down for Taarabt, whose low half-volley from 20 yards is a regualtion stop for Jaaskelainen.
    • 34' Ivan Klasnic tries to pick out the run of Davies, but the Bolton striker had strayed just offside.
    • 33' QPR have never won on the opening day of a Premier League season. They have lost their last three opening day matches in the division, failing to score in the last two. Their only ever point came in a 1-1 draw at Manchester City in August 1992. (Infostrada)
    • 32' Smith limps off for treatment, but he too will rejoin play shortly.
    • 31' DYER FACT: He has now completed 90 minutes only once in his last 29 Premier League matches stretching back over the last three seasons. (Infostrada)
    • 30' Taarabt starts off a QPR move by wrestling the ball from a Bolton player. He drifts into space and waits for the ball to come back to him before trying an audacious chipped effort that floats high and wide of Jaaskelainen's goal! It wasn't that close, but another flash of the QPR captain's ability and vision.
    • 28' Nigel Reo-Coker fouls Campbell in midfield. Good effort in tracking back from the striker, who hails from just down the road in Hammersmith.
    • 27' Zat Knight is receiving some attention after an aerial collision. The 6'6" centre-back will be fine to rejoin play, though.
    • 26' Taarabt's low cross to the near post rebounds off a Bolton player and the visitors can clear.
    • 25' Steinsson fouls Bothroyd to the left of the area and QPR have a free-kick in a useful position. Can Taarabt deliver the right ball?
    • 24' The home side lose it in midfield and Bolton can break via Petrov down the left, but the Bulgarian's cross is not what was required.
    • 23' QPR beginning to exert more influence now. This is their best spell of possession.
    • 22' QPR kept 25 clean sheets in the Championship last season, a divisional high. (Opta)
    • 21' A great reverse pass from Taarabt picks out Campbell. Jaaskelainen sends him wide so the striker lays it off to Smith, whose low shot is easily stopped by the keeper. Taarabt is looking very effective, but he has so far been largely restricted to staying out wide on the left.
    • 20' Lucifer Wingz writes: "Injuries never allowed us to see the best of K Dyer." - One of football's many 'What Ifs'...
    • 19' Bolton have lost seven of their 12 league visits to QPR. Their last victory was 1-0 in the second tier in January 2000. (Infostrada)
    • 18' Latest word on Dyer is that he may have broken his right metatarsal. Dear oh dear...
    • 17' Alejandro Faurlin plays Tommy Smith into space and the attacker pushes forward before firing a low strike wide of the near post.
    • 16' Davies is penalised for barging into CLint Hill as the pair jump for a header. Bolton committed more fouls (513) than any other team in the 2010-11 Premier League, and Davies accounted for many of those.
    • 15' Possession after 15 minutes: QPR 33% - 67% Bolton.
    • 14' This match has shown promising signs that it could really open up soon. Plenty of gnashing of teeth from both managers in the dugout.
    • 13' QPR's corner is easily gathered by Jaaskelainen and Bolton can breathe again. The Trotters have looked very shaky at the back thus far.
    • 12' Gretar Steinsson miscues his clearance in the area and it falls to Bothroyd... Steinsson deflects the strike over the bar with his head! Bothroyd fired for the top corner but Steinsson was able to make up for his poor clearance.
    • 11' Bolton's starting line-up also averages over 30 years old per man, the first time in six years that they have started a Premier League match with such an old team. (Infostrada)
    • 10' Bolton look to have got their act together after an uncertain start, and there is plenty of pressure in the QPR half at the moment.
    • 9' QPR conceded just two headed goals last season, fewer than any other team in the Championship. (Opta)
    • 8' We are back underway at Loftus Road. Great industry from Kevin Daives to chase and win a lost cause. He squares to Chris Eagles and the ball is worked to the left flank. Martin Petrov's cross is headed back across goal by the Botlon skipper, but Paddy Kenny dives down to gather it.
    • 7' QPR substitution: Bradley Orr replaces Dyer.
    • 6' Dyer really looks in some agony. His head is in his hands. Bradley Orr is warming up and ready to come on.
    • 4' Would you believe it? Kieron Dyer is injured! Just four minutes into his QPR career, the makeshift right-back is being stretchered off after would appears an innocuous incident. Terrible for the player, and for QPR. Any hopes of putting his injury-plagued career behind have been cruelly shot down.
    • 3' What a start that would have been for QPR. The last Premier League goal at Loftus Road was scored by Kevin Gallen in a 3-0 win over West Ham in 1996.
    • 2' QPR have the ball in the back of the net, but it's disallowed! Bolton make a hash of clearing an early QPR free-kick, and Adel Taarabt's cross is turned goalward by Jay BOthroyd, only for DJ Campbell to steer it past Jussi Jaaskelainen from a clearly offside position.
    • 1' Bolton kick off and we are underway at Loftus Road!
    • 14:57 Can you hear that rumbling in the distance? That's the Premier League stampeding its way back into your life! The players are out on the pitch, shaking hands now. The big kick-off is just a few moments away...
    • 14:55 Today's referee at Loftus Road is Martin Atkinson, who last season dished out 143 bookings and a whopping 13 red cards in 41 matches (all competitions). The Bradford official took charge of the FA Cup at the end of last season. That feels like a long time ago now...

Bolton lost all five of their final games last season. Their last win in the league was that 2-1 home win over Arsenal, courtesy of Tamir Cohen's 90th-minute winner. Match report: Arsenal title hopes in tatters after defeat
    • 14:40 Considering the billions of pounds worth of wealth shared between QPR's owners, they have not exactly been breaking the bank in the transfer window this summer. However, Neil Warnock has still managed to make a few canny additions, but will they be enough? Check out who he has brought in with our club-by-club breakdown. Premier League transfer table
    • 14:35 HEAD-TO-HEAD: This is the first meeting between these two sides in over 10 years, since a 1-1 draw at Loftus Road in 2001. Bolton are unbeaten in their last five league matches against QPR, since a 2-0 away defeat in the second tier in November 1998. (Infostrada)
    • 14:30 With Johan Elmander departed for Turkey in the summer, Ivan Klasnic lines up alongside Kevin Davies in attack for Bolton. Nigel Reo-Coker and Chris Eagles both make their debuts for the Trotters, while Korean midfielder Lee Chung-yong is out for six months with a broken leg. Bolton team page
    • 14:25 So, as Loftus Road preapares for its first Premier League fixture in 15 years, QPR line up with both of their new strikers, Jay Bothroyd and DJ Campbell. Midfield talisman Adel Taarabt starts, with the club having seemingly seen off interest from Paris-Saint Germain. Can the mercurial Moroccan make the step up to the top flight after dazzling in the Championship? More to the point, how will Kieron Dyer fare at right-back?! QPR team page
