    • - Don't forget you can watch highlights of this match, along with every Premier League game, from 00:01 on Monday morning (UK only).
    • 90+5' The final whistle goes, and Tottenham are releived to come away with a win which looked completely routine at half-time. Still, it's their third league victory in a row, and it moves them into the top half of the table!
    • 90+4' Adebayor is booked as he tussles with his marker.
    • 90+3' Clever free-kick from Moses, who sneaks it left for Van Aanholt to strike, but Giovani leaps in to block the strike.
    • 90+2' Bale takes a long ball from Kaboul on his chest as he runs into the box but it bounces kindly for Al-Habsi. Wigan counter and Moses wins a free-kick 25 yards from goal off Livermore.
    • 90+1' Four minutes of added time to be played at the DW. Wigan still only one goal behind. Can they nick a point?
    • 90' Tottenham substitution: Jake Livermore replaces Sandro, who looks in some discomfort.
    • 88' McArthur spies Friedel off his line and goes for an ambitious lob from 40 yards out, but in the end it's an easy catch for the Spurs keeper.
    • 87' Wigan are really giving it a go in these closing stages. They catch Spurs all out of position on the break, but Stam's cross to the far post is too high for Sammon.
    • 85' Kaboul once more rises to meet the corner but this time heads wide.
    • 84' Kaboul fires a fearsome shot on goal from the free-kick that deflects off the thigh of Figueroa and on to the bar! Spurs will have to make do with another corner.
    • 83' Spurs have a free-kick now, some 25 yards from goal. Kaboul looks like he fancies this...
    • 81' Figueroa blocks a Bale effort inside the box. The Wigan defender has been a different player this half, as indomitable now as he was inept before the break.
    • 80' Modric has a low shot well saved by the keeper. Another Tottenham goal now would kill this game.
    • 79' Bale almost releases Giovani one-on-one, but the ball is too far in front of the Mexican for even his pace to reach it before Al-Habsi.
    • 78' Tottenham substitution: Giovani dos Santos repalces Van der vaart.
    • 76' Modric has really grown in influence over the past few minutes as he starts to find more space in front of the back four. Sammon is booked soon after coming on for a late challenge on Parker.
    • 75' Modric flicks on a header for Van der Vaart to chase, but Caldwell had a headstart and gets to it first.
    • 74' Wigan substitutions: Connor Sammon and James McArthur replace Watson and Di Santo.
    • 73' Time seems to stand still for a moment as Kaboul rises unchallenged to meet the corner, but he puts his header over the bar!
    • 72' Great work from Bale to beat the offside trap and pick out Van der Vaart fromt he byline. Figueroa slides in with a vital tackle and concedes a corner.
    • 71' McCarthy is booked for a cynical foul on Parker, or perhaps for the choice words the young midfielder has for the referee upon hearing the whistle!
    • 70' Tottenham beginning to reassert their first-half dominance now. Modric almost threads Van der Vaart through but Wigan have enough numbers back to scramble it clear.
    • 68' Assou-Ekotto's low pass across the box is bound for Modric but the Croatian swings and misses the ball completely! The ball comes back to Assou-Ekotto who goes to ground under a challenge, but referee Moss waves play on!
    • 66' Watson's corner fizzes in towards the near post but Moses can only steer it wide for a goal kick.
    • 65' Di Santo puts enough pressure on Kaboul to force the error and win a corner.
    • 63' Just as with Martin Skrtel for Liverpool last weekend, Bale has simply been too much for his right-back to handle and gets him sent off.
    • 62' GOHOURI SENT OFF! The Wigan defender received a second yellow card for another foul on Bale. Referee Jonathan Moss gives him his marching orders.
    • 61' Wigan have certainly been a much better proposition this half. They are stroking the ball around with fluidity and confidence.
    • 59' Adebayor is going off for more treatment. He seems to have a problem with his eye. SPurs down to 10 men as the on-loan striker is administered some eye drops.
    • 57' Adebayor is back on his feet and will continue playing.
    • 56' Adebayor is receiving treatment on the pitch. He just looks a little dazed. With Defoe and Roman Pavlyuchenko both missing, Harry Redknapp only had Giovani dos Santos on the bench as another attacking option.
    • 55' Adebayor is down inside the Wigan box. The striker was felled by a fair challenge from Figueroa and he clattered into Caldwell as he went down.
    • 54' Diame's goal was only his third in the Premier League, and his first ever at the DW Stadium.
    • 53' Wigan break forward. The home crowd are really liftedby that goal. The counter-attack breaks down as Tottenham regroup.
    • 52' Van Aanholt slices his clearance over the bar for another corner. That could have gone anywhere. Modric sends in another corner and Wigan eventually clear after a bout of head tennis.
    • 51' Instant response from Spurs as Adebayor tests Al-Habsi from range and forces the save. Corner to Spurs.
    • 50' GOAL!! Wigan pull one back! Poor defending from Assou-Ekotto as he tries to play his way out of danger. The pass is blocked and the ball drops for Diame on the edge of the box. The midfielder holds off Kaboul, turns and drills a clinical finish past Friedel!
    • 49' Good run forward from Bale but his pass to Adebayor is too casual and the ball is cleared. Nice open start to the second half.
    • 47' Moses does well to get past Walker and into the Spurs box, but his pass for Dimae is cleared for a throw by Kaboul. Ben Watson tries to pick out a pass but Van der Vaart drops deep to steal the ball off him and win a foul.
    • 46' Wigan substitution: Ronnie Stam repalces Jordi Gomez at the start of the second alf.
    • 46' Wigan kick off and the second half is underway!
    • 45+2' Half-time is called and Wigan have been woeful. They are lucky to only be two goals down at the break.
    • 45+2' Franco di Santo is unlucky not to win a free-kick after Parker cannily fouls him.
    • 45+1' We're in the first of two added minutes at the end of the first half.
    • 45' Figueroa slides in to tackle Adebayor and the Tottenham striker catches the Wigan defender right in the face! Apologies are made, and Wigan eventually get a goal kick.
    • 44' Caldwell brings the ball out to the halfway line, sees no movement in front of him and has to pass all the way back to the keeper. The home fans do not like that!
    • 42' Figueroa makes a tackle to turn defence into attack, but his hopeful long ball rolls safely to Friedel.
    • 41' Modric's corner comes to Ledley King at the far post, but the Spurs defender jumped to early and can only head wide as he is on his way back down.
    • 40' Bale lifts a high ball up for Adebayor in the box, but Caldwell does enough to muscle him off the ball. Spurs come again and Adebayor's low strike from the edge of the box draws a decent save from Al-Habsi. Corner to Spurs.
    • 38' Modric skips into the Wigan box and picks out Van der Vaart, but the Dutchman is tackled before he can sneak the ball across to Sandro.
    • 37' Sammyg writes in to say: "Just wonder how many goals VDV can score this year - he scored plenty last year playing alongside a complete muppet, so playing with Adebeyor who actually does know what he's doing should improve things....."
    • 36' Gohouri outpaces Assou-Ekotto down the flank but Parker comes across to cover for the faltering full-back and tackle Gohouri.
    • 34' Van der Vaart is back on his feet, and will rejoin play shortly. No need for any treatment.
    • 33' Van der Vaart is down on the turf in some pain after clashing heads with Caldwell. The Wigan captain jumped with the Dutchman and made an honest attempt to head the ball, but instead nutted Van der Vaart!
    • 32' Younes Kaboul plays a pass down the channel for Walker to chase, but Van Aanholt is across to cover.
    • 31' Bale charges into the Wigan box from the left. He has Adebayor and Modric to aim for in the box but goes for the shot, and it's an easy near-post save for Al-Habsi.
    • 30' Only twice in Premier League history have Wigan come from 2-0 down to win a match – on both occasions it happened at home against London clubs – against Arsenal and West Ham.
    • 29' An identikit corner to the one which Bale scored for Spurs, only this time the Welshman heads over the bar. All too easy for the visitors at the moment.
    • 28' Van Aanholt chases Walker to the Wigan byline and concedes a corner.
    • 27' Good spell of possession for Tottenham. They are cruising, to be honest. Wigan offering little.
    • 26' Wigan fail to make the most of Ben Watson's quick free-kick. Bale leads to break and Steve Gohouri trips him up on the halfway line. That's a booking for the Wigan man.
    • 24' That's Bale's first Premier League goal since New Year's Day, and it gives Spurs a thoroughly deserved two-goal lead.
    • 23' GOAL!! Modric swings in the corner to the near post and Bale rises to glance his header past Al-Habsi into the far bottom corner!
    • 22' Caldwell does well to head an awkwardly bouncing cross over the bar for a corner.
    • 21' Van der Vaart wins a free-kick for Spurs. The Dutch winger has expressed his annoyance at not being included in the club's Europa League squad, but Harry Redknapp has understandable concerns about his fitness.
    • 19' Bale surges forward but is brought down by James McCarthy on the halfway line. Spurs want a foul but play is waved on. Mohamed Diame gets to the byline but Benoit Assou-Ekotto blocks the pulled-back pass.
    • 18' Patrick van Aanholt does well stop stop Luka Modric nipping past him on the wing and even wins a throw off the Croatian.
    • 16' Gareth Bale puts in a decent cross that Walker meets with a header, totally unmarked. The effort goes wide of the far post. In fairness, the cross came in slightly behind him.
    • 15' With a quarter of an hour gone, Spurs have had 71% of the possession.
    • 14' For those of you like Si BoroCot asking what has happened to Jermain Defoe, apparently he was struck down with a virus at the team hotel last night.
    • 13' Jordi Gomez puts in a dangerous delivery that brad Friedel manages to get a fist to before a Wigan player can get their head on it.
    • 12' Sandro should be booked. Not for that terrible hair, but for a cynical block on Victor Moses as the forward makes headway down the right wing.
    • 11' Parker is ruling the middle of the park. He is not letting Wigan settle into any kind of rhythm as they try to pass their way through midfield.
    • 10' Another low attendance at the DW Stadium. The travelling Spurs fans are making themselves heard.
    • 9' The Latics have won just two of the 12 Premier League games against Spurs (W2 D5 L5), but those have come in the last three meetings at the DW Stadium.
    • 8' More calamity in the Wigan defence as Al-Habsi's pass out from the area is intercepted bby Parker. The midfielder comes forward and picks out Van der Vaart, but Caldwell makes a vital challenge.
    • 6' Scott Parker sends Walker away down the right again. The right-back hits abnother low ball to the unmarked Adebayor who hits his first-time shot over the bar! A bad miss from the in-form forward.
    • 5' Spurs now dominating the possession. When they beat Wigan 9-1 in 2009, it took them nine minutes to open the scoring.
    • 4' That's Van der Vaart's first league goal of the season, and it all came from Fgueroa's dithering on the ball.
    • 3' GOAL!! Maynor Figueroa is caught in possession by Emmanuel Adebayor. The Togolese striker pounces and nips around Gary Caldwell and squares the ball to Rafael van der Vaart, and the Dutchman finishes left-footed past Ali Al-Habsi!
    • 2' Kyle Walker rampages down the right flank early doors and gets in a low cross that Wigan struggle to clear.
    • 1' Tottenham kick off and we are underway!

    • 14:55 Today's referee is Jonathan Moss. The West Yorkshire official is taking charge of his first Premier League game of the season, and and only his third ever in the top flight.
    • 14:50 Midfielder Sandro also returns to the Spurs starting line-up in the Premier League for the first time this season. He is currently sporting a mohawk hairdo with the shaven sides died blue. Awful, truly awful. Still, it seems to be popular with one Spurs fan, who has donned a wig made up to look like the Brazilian's unique hairstyle.
    • 14:45 Head-to-head: Wigan were unbeaten against Tottenham last season - winning 1-0 at White Hart Lane and drawing 0-0 at home. A marked improvement on the season before, when Spurs beat the Latics 3-0 in Wigan and 9-1 at White Hart Lane, when Jermain Defoe scored five times. Still not good enough for him to get in the team today, though, as the returning Rafal van der Vaart plays in behind Adebayor.
    • 14:40 Harry Redknapp has been delighted with the start that Emmanuel Adebayor has made to his Tottenham career and has backed the striker to fire the club back in to the Champions League: "If he has a great season he can take us to where we want to be. He is a really good player. There is no doubting his ability and Jermain Defoe has linked up well with him." More from 'Arry on Adebayor
    • 14:35 Rafael van der Vaart and Sandro both start for Spurs. William Gallas and Aaron Lennon are absent due to respective calf and groin injuries. Benoit Assou-Ekotto has recovered from a throat infection. Roman Pavlyuchenko and Niko Kranjcar have not travelled to the north west because of hamstring injuries. Tottenham Hotspur team page
    • 14:30 Wigan striker Hugo Rodallega misses out and could be sidelined for a month after injuring his knee last weekend. Defender Emmerson Boyce was absent for the defeat at Everton with a hamstring problem and remains out, while Antolin Alcaraz (thigh) are still not fully fit. Steven Gohouri has recovered from a calf injury though and starts. Wigan team page
    • 14:25 Wigan: Al Habsi, Gohouri, Caldwell, Figueroa, Van Aanholt, Diame, Watson, McCarthy, Moses, Di Santo, Gomez. Subs: Kirkland, Crusat, Maloney, McArthur, Sammon, Jones, Stam /// Tottenham: Friedel, Walker, Dawson, King, Assou-Ekotto, Modric, Parker, Sandro, Bale, Van der Vaart, Adebayor. Subs: Cudicini, Giovani, Bassong, Corluka, Livermore, Townsend, Carroll.
    • 14:20 The Latics go into this match with five points from as many games. They are unbeaten at home following a draw with Norwich and a win over QPR, but Tottenham should prove a much stiffer test. Spurs, on six points, can move into the top half of the table with vicotry here after back-to-back wins away to Wolves and at home to Liverpool. Premier League table
