    • 90+5' FULL TIME. Chelsea cling on for the win as they secure a much-needed home victory. Goals from Mata and a penalty from Lampard prove enough to beat Arsenal, who battled well in the second half, with Walcott scoring.
    • 90+5' Wilshere now with a cross into the box but Giroud's header spins up and onto the roof of the net. That could be it.
    • 90+4' Another corner for Arsenal as the pressure continues...
    • 90+4' Cech punches away under pressure and when Arsenal pump the ball back into the box, Cahill makes a crucial tackle with Walcott ready to pounce.
    • 90+3' Late corner for Arsenal... but Ramires heads away for another.
    • 90+2' Stat from Infostrada: "This season, Arsenal have scored nine goals in the final 10 minutes of PL matches – the most in division with Manchester United."
    • 90' We will have five minutes of added time.
    • 90' Up the other end, Walcott lays the ball off to Giroud and he tries to surprise Cech with a quick effort from 35 yards. However, it skids into his arms.
    • 89' A free-kick is cleared out to Bertrand and he fires in a fierce effort that is blocked by Sagna. It hit the top of his arm/torso.
    • 88' A change for Chelsea as Marko Marin replaces Hazard, who has faded alarmingly.
    • 87' Vermaelen takes charge of the set-piece but goes for the far corner and can't get the necessary bend on the balll.
    • 86' Cole trips Sagna right on the edge of the box and Arsenal have a free-kick in a good position. He goes into the book.
    • 85' Ba threatens to turn away from Gibbs and wreak havoc in the box but Gibbs puts in a superb challenge.
    • 84' Huge chance for Chelsea! Ba breaks free down the left and Szczesny makes the wrong decision to race off his line and leave himself stranded. Ba rounds the keeper, cuts inside but then sees his firm low effort cleared off the line by a superb block from Vermaelen.
    • 82' The Chelsea fans approved of that decision by Benitez at least. Meanwhile, Arshavin tries to find his way past his marker on the edge of the box but loses possession.
    • 81' Here comes the change as Ba replaces Torres, of course.
    • 80' Ba is now stripping off on the sidelines...
    • 79' Wilshere looks unimpressed and it should have been a foul - Ramires deliberately put his arm in his face after all.
    • 78' Ramires breaks away after catching Wilshere in the face and pulls out a succession of stepovers before finally being denied by a fine saving challenge from Vermaelen.
    • 76' Torres with another chance but he bends his shot into the chest of Szczesny when Chelsea are overloaded with players. A real waste.
    • 75' Andrei Arshavin comes on for Diaby for a rare appearance. That means Cazorla will drop back.
    • 74' Wilshere is in the thick of things, coming in late on Azpilicueta to chop the defender to the ground.
    • 73' Ramires with a shot from 25 yards after a corner is cleared into his path but Szczesny is on hand to palm it wide.
    • 72' Chelsea try to tighten things up by removing Oscar and bringing on Ryan Bertrand. Mata will come inside.
    • 71' Here comes Torres again and Sagna swings a boot at his cross to clear for Arsenal.
    • 71' Surely Benitez has to bring on Demba Ba now. Torres has done nothing, yet again.
    • 70' Oh, Fernando. Torres races clear on goal after escaping the clutches of Mertesacker but his touch is heavy, allowing Szczesny to rush off his line and grab the ball. Torres holds his head in his hands.
    • 69' More fine work from Gibbs -who has been very good in the second half - as he digs out a cross. But it doesn't find an Arsenal shirt.
    • 68' It looks for a second as though Oscar will run onto a ball over the top but Gibbs is alert to the danger and tidies up.
    • 68' Cazorla takes the free-kick and strikes the top of the wall. A corner for Arsenal.
    • 67' Mata goes into the book for protesting about a free-kick awarded to Walcott 20 yards from goal.
    • 66' The complexion of the game completely changed at half-time - incredible. Arsenal have been far superior in the second half.
    • 65' Stat from Infostrada: "Walcott scored his third PL goal against Chelsea. He has only scored more (4) against Newcastle and Tottenham."
    • 63' Wilshere tries to play in Diaby with a fine through-ball but Gary Cahill manages to stick in a boot and clear for Chelsea. Good defending.
    • 61' Walcott threatens again! The winger cuts in from the right and onto his left foot before dragging a shot wide. Arsenal well on top now.
    • 59' Coquelin has to be removed and Aaron Ramsey comes on in his place.
    • 58' GOAL! Chelsea 2-1 Arsenal! Walcott celebrates his new contract with a potentially crucial goal in Arsenal's season. Cazorla opens up the Chelsea defence with an outrageously good through-ball, and the finish from Walcott isn't bad either as he opens up his body to side-foot high into the net.
    • 57' Gibbs does well to cut in from the left and float a dangerous cross in for Giroud, but the striker can only produce a weak header under pressure. Still, better from Arsenal again.
    • 56' Stat from Opta: "Arsenal have fewer points this season after 21 games than in any previous Premier League campaign under Arsene Wenger. "
    • 55' Giroud is caught offside when running in behind to get on the end of a pass from Diaby.
    • 54' Nice quick feet from Cazorla but he then shows too much of the ball to Lampard, who dispossesses the Arsenal playmaker.
    • 53' Giroud is hobbling a bit but looks to be okay.
    • 52' Giroud is down in some pain after clattering into Ramires. He took a knock to the back by the looks of things.
    • 51' Stat from Infostrada: "Arsenal have scored in their last eight away PL London derbies since a 2-0 defeat at Chelsea in October 2010."
    • 50' Wilshere and Diaby both march forward but neither can get a shot away as Chelsea stand firm.
    • 49' Arsenal have shown much more purpose and spirit in the embryonic stages of this second half. Wenger must have ripped into them at the break.
    • 48' Wilshere picks out Walcott with a delicious reverse pass over the defence and the winger takes a couple of touches before seeing a firm low drive saved by Cech.
    • 47' Cazorla delivers the free-kick and the ball is headed down to Mertesacker, who steadies himself and caresses a decent shot at Cech. A much more promising start.
    • 47' Giroud and Cole exchange words after a challenge from the Chelsea man.
    • 46' KICK OFF! No changes from Arsenal - more punishment awaits?

    • 45+1' HALF TIME. Chelsea lead 2-0 thanks to a fine finish from Mata and a Lampard penalty. Arsenal have been dreadful.
    • 45+1' Walcott is offside again when racing onto a pass from Coquelin.
    • 45' A free-kick is headed out to Torres, who finds himself in space in the box. However, his attempt is woeful as he gets an awful contact with the ball.
    • 43' Azpilicueta with a dangerous cross from the right but Sagna is on hand to head away.
    • 42' Stat from Infostrada: "Arsenal have come from 2-0 down to earn points three times against Chelsea, winning one and drawing two. In October 1999 they won 3-2 at Stamford Bridge with Nwankwo Kanu scoring a hat-trick."
    • 40' Wilshere plays in Walcott with a first-time pass but the winger has strayed offside.
    • 39' A cross is pulled back for Lampard, who is winding up for a shot, but Mertesacker extends one of those long legs to flick the ball away.
    • 38' Wilshere takes over corner duties from Walcott and it pays off with a better delivery, but still Arsenal can't fashion a chance.
    • 37' Oscar gives Sagna a kick and the Arsenal defender is down on the turf in some pain.
    • 36' Ramires threatens! Mata plays him in to the right and the midfielder jinks past the outstretched leg of Gibbs to get clear in the box. However, his finish is awful as he blasts the ball over the bar.
    • 34' Nice build-up play from Arsenal but Walcott just strays offside as he gets in behind Cole.
    • 33' A dismal first half for Arsenal, but a triumphant one for Chelsea. It already feels as though this is finished as a going concern.
    • 32' Gorgeous pass over the top from Wilshere but Giroud can't quite pull the ball down and get a shot away as Ivanovic muscles him off the ball. Better from Arsenal though.
    • 31' Arsenal try to break but Sagna gets his pass wrong for Walcott down the line. He is having a terrible game.
    • 30' Arsenal getting done from all angles here. Mertesacker makes an important intervention though to prevent another cross from finding its target.
    • 29' Walcott slips in Sagna but under pressure from Cole he can't get a clean cross away.
    • 28' Ashley Cole loses Sagna at the back post and heads his header across goal, but can't find a Chelsea shirt. More poor defending from the right-back.
    • 27' Azpilicueta plays in Mata down the right but Arsenal manage to head clear from his cross. The visitors are being completely overrun.
    • 25' Fair to say this has been a rather humbling experience for Arsenal so far. They have been so poor in all departments.
    • 24' Stat from Infostrada: "Lampard scored his 41st PL penalty. Only Alan Shearer (56) has scored more. "
    • 23' Now it's Chelsea's turn to produce a terrible free-kick as Mata pumps one to the back post and above everyone's heads.
    • 22' Arsenal waste another corner as Walcott chips it in for Cech, and Chelsea break with purpose before Szczesny does just enough to prevent Mata from inflicting more punishment.
    • 21' Hazard fires in a low effort from inside the box but it's no problem for Szczesny.
    • 20' An 'honourable' mention for Bacary Sagna, too, who was caught out for both goals. His form has evaporated over the past few weeks, which must be a real concern.
    • 19' Either way, Arsenal are getting a right old hammering and it doesn't look like Chelsea will be letting up any time soon. The visitors have looked a shambles at the back and Diaby looks off the pace in midfield.
    • 17' The marking from Arsenal was horrendous again as they allowed Ramires metres of space in the box. It looked like the Brazilian stuck his leg in to invite contact - but given it was awarded Szczesny was arguably lucky not to be sent off. He had two covering defenders, but it's surely a goalscoring opportunity?
    • 16' GOAL! Chelsea 2-0 Arsenal! Lampard sticks it away to move to within seven goals of Bobby Tambling's club record of 202. Arsenal punished again.
    • 15' Szczesny goes into the book for bringing down the midfielder as he tried to round him.
    • 15' Penalty to Chelsea! Szczesny brings down Ramires!
    • 15' Chelsea are hitting their stride and after Hazard tees up Azpilicueta with a nice backheel, Oscar rifles a shot over the bar. The home side are well on top.
    • 14' Mertesacker can't direct a clearing header out of the box but Vermaelen does well to hold offTorres and chest the ball back to his goalkeeper.
    • 13' Thomas Vermaelen gives away possession with a sloppy pass but luckily for Arsenal, Torres produces an abject attempt at a cross after being played in in the left channel by Mata.
    • 11' Lampard catches the outside of the post with a firm volley but he was just offside when receiving the ball in acres of space in the Arsenal box.
    • 10' Sensational from Eden Hazard! He embarks on a brilliant run past two Arsenal shirts and his rifled effort from a right angle is palmed wide by Wojciech Szczesny.
    • 9' Santi Cazorla pings in a lovely effort from 30 yards, forcing Petr Cech to tip round the post on the stretch. Walcott's corner is horrendous though as he floats it up to the Chelsea keeper.
    • 8' Stat from Infostrada: "Juan Mata scored his eighth PL goal of the season. He scored six in total last season. "
    • 7' So Arsenal waste a glorious chance through Giroud and then concede inside 60 seconds. It should have been a free-kick for the tackle on Coquelin but Arsenal still should have defended that better. Sagna was horribly exposed.
    • 6' GOAL! Chelsea 1-0 Arsenal! Juan Mata - once a target for Arsenal - puts Chelsea in front. Arsenal are furious as Ramires clearly fouled Coquelin in the build-up, but the touch and finish from Mata were delightful after he exploited space in behind Sagna to latch onto a Cesar Azpiliceuta long pass.
    • 5' Huge chance for Arsenal! Walcott plays in Giroud with a delightful pass but the striker pulls his shot wide of the far post when through on goal. He absolutely had to hit the target there.
    • 4' Olivier Giroud tries to flick the ball into the path of Jack Wilshere but the pass is intercepted. Arsenal struggling to retain possession at the moment.
    • 3' Per Mertesacker comes across to the right to chop down Torres and concede a free-kick. Lampard swings the set-piece in but Branislav Ivanovic heads over. Mertesacker could have been booked really.
    • 2' Oscar causes problems early on when wriggling into the box and going to ground, before Frank Lampard reverts to type with a shot from range. It flies over the bar, but all the early pressure from Chelsea.
    • 1' KICK OFF! Chelsea kicking right to left in their blue kit.
    • 13:30 The two teams emerge from the tunnel as the snow tips down at Stamford Bridge. Fernando Torres has had a short back and sides - a serious haircut for a serious game.

    • 13:20 One key head-to-head battle will likely be Theo Walcott v Ashley Cole - a battle between one man who signed a new contract in the week and another who is reportedly close to getting a new one. They know each other well from England duty too. Cole set to sign Chelsea contract
    • 13:15 Arsenal's pressing concern is securing fourth place ahead of rivals Tottenham. They will move to within three points with a win today, before Spurs visit United at 4pm. If Arsenal lose and Spurs manage to beat United, then things will be looking rather bleak for the Gunners. Wenger has sympathy for Benitez
    • 13:10 Rafa Benitez is not a popular guy at Stamford Bridge of course, and Chelsea have not won at home in their past three games. The atmosphere has been decidedly tense - and being 13 points shy of Manchester United probably doesn't help. Neither does Benitez spelling out that his side can't win the title. Benitez accepts title hopes are over
    • 13:05 Chelsea drew 2-2 at home to Southampton in midweek and their key change is to bring in Torres - who was booed when coming on for Lampard against the Saints - for Ba, who scored. It's a curious move from Benitez and I suspect an unpopular one for Chelsea fans. Branislav Ivanovic is also in for David Luiz.
    • 13:00 With Lukas Podolski ill, Arsenal are unchanged from the side that defeated Swansea 1-0 in the FA Cup in midweek, with Santi Cazorla again playing off the left and Francis Coquelin holding in midfield.
    • 12:55 TEAMS: Chelsea: Cech, Azpilicueta, Ivanovic, Cahill, Cole, Ramires, Lampard, Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Torres. Subs: Turnbull, Ferreira, Terry, Bertrand, Ake, Marin, Ba. /// Arsenal: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Coquelin, Wilshere, Diaby, Cazorla, Giroud, Walcott. Subs: Mannone, Koscielny, Jenkinson, Santos, Frimpong, Ramsey, Arshavin.
    • 12:50 Team news arrives and it is a bit of a surprise as Demba Ba - scorer of three goals in four games for Chelsea - drops to the bench to be replaced by Fernando Torres.
    • 12:45 Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the Premier League match between Chelsea and Arsenal at Stamford Bridge. Can Chelsea address their poor home form in this London derby?
