    Time:90'
    • Everton
    • Stoke City
    • 90+3' Adam drives the ball in at pace, but Howard beats out the free-kick. And the final whistle sounds. A 1-0 win for Everton. Not the greatest of matches, but Everton get the job done.
    • 90+2' Osman is penalised for a late challenge on Adam. Final chance of the match for Stoke just out wide of the Everton box.
    • 89' We are into three minutes of time added on.
    • 88' Huth catches Jelavic with an accidental boot as we head for stoppage time.
    • 87' Distin goes to ground as Coleman races to the corner with the ball. Everton would like to keep it there.
    • 86' Shotton with another one of those long throw-ins. Plenty of pace on it, but Distin is there to make the clearing header.
    • 85' A booking here for Barkley after a challenge on Whelan that looked perfectly legitimate. Bad call by the referee as he won the ball.
    • 84' Everton almost over the line here. Not their best performance of the season, but has been energetic enough against the visiting side.
    • 83' Walter scurries down a flank, but Anichebe races back to make the challenge.
    • 82' A win for Everton will see them stay two points behind fifth-placed Arsenal and close to four behind Chelsea in the race for a Champions League spot.
    • 81' Adam combines with Walters. Wilson then collects, but Stoke not really going anywhere with the ball here.
    • 80' Everton searching for the second goal that could finally seal these points, but Stoke are dropping deep to close down space.
    • 79' Only Arsenal (12), Man City (14) and Man United (17) have conceded fewer second half goals than Everton’s 18 this season.
    • 78' Mirallas is limping heavily and he is going to make way for Ross Barkley in these closing 10 minutes or so.
    • 77' Crouch departs to be replaced by Jones with Charlie Adam taking over from Cameron.
    • 76' Changes coming for Stoke as they try to pull a point out of the fire.
    • 75' Plenty of venom on that effort. Don't think Howard was going to reach that hit by the Stoke forward.
    • 74' Jerome sends a shot inches over the bar. That must go down as a decent chance from Shotton's backheel.
    • 73' Whelan with the free-kick into the Everton box, but Huth narrowly fails to connect with that delivery. Goalkick to Everton.
    • 72' Looks like Stoke are going to turn here to Kenwyne Jones as Cruch is bundled over Distin.
    • 71' Not sure if Begovic had that one covered or not. Guess we'll never know. Stoke trying to test Everton out with another Shotton long throw-in, but the blue shirts deal with the danger.
    • 70' Stoke furious about that award, but they escape as Jelavic sends the free-kick spinning a couple of yards wide of goal. Into the final 20 minutes or so.
    • 69' Everton then earn another free-kick in the identical spot after Shotton is deemed to be guilty of a spot of grappling on Osman.
    • 68' Baines opts for power, but ends up smashing the ball straight into the Stoke wall.
    • 67' A booking for Shawcross as Everton prepare to take this free-kick that could give them a 2-0 lead.
    • 66' Jelavic brought down by Shawcross on the edge of the Stoke box. That will be a free-kick to the home side.
    • 65' Jelavic takes a tumble after being clattered late by Huth, but is quickly back to his feet.
    • 64' Not too sure Everton fans are overly content with this second half. Stoke have certainly steadied the ship. Everton getting ready to make a change.
    • 63' Crouch is penalised for pulling back Dutch defender Heitinga. Bit of frustration from the former England forward.
    • 62' Cameron doing well to halt the latest run of Mirallas as he tried to cut into the area. A goalkick to Stoke.
    • 61' An offside flag is raised against Jelavic after he got his positioning all wrong. And on we go with Everton leading 1-0.
    • 60' Shotton has to be disappointed not to see that hit the net. Everton a lot more subdued so far in this half.
    • 59' Glorious chance for Shotton as the ball breaks to him from Wilson's cross via Distin, but he can't keep the header down. Ball wide and chance is lost.
    • 58' Mirallas drives the ball at goal, but the shot ends up safely in the arms of Begovic. He is a man in the mood today.
    • 57' Walters comes up with a lovely back heel. Chance for Wilson to cross, but he makes a mess of the delivery as the ball ends up out of play.
    • 56' Wilson takes up a good position out wide, but the cross is fairly wretched as he slams the ball straight out of play.
    • 55' Only Norwich with 13 have scored fewer than Stoke’s 15 second half goals this season.
    • 54' Huth rises and heads wide from Whelan's free-kick. Golden chance. Should have been the equalising goal for Stoke City. Free header.
    • 53' Gibson heads behind his own goal from Whelan's corner before Everton scramble the loose ball clear seconds later. Stoke trying to mount a recovery.
    • 52' Everton winning all of the second balls as they earn another corner-kick, but Begovic does well to punch that out under pressure.
    • 51' Gibson with the delivery. Heitinga can't control the ball in the Stoke box. The visiting side can bring the ball out from the back.
    • 50' Everton trying to build up some momentum as Jelavic earns a throw-in out wide before Whelan concedes a free-kick. Gibson to take.
    • 49' Everton finished that first half with real intensity, but have slowed matters down so far in the second period. Howard with the goalkick.
    • 48' Stoke have not won a Premier League match this season when losing at half-time – drawing twice and losing six.
    • 47' Distin making a strong challenge early in this second half as Stoke earn themselves a corner. But Everton deal with the danger.
    • 46' Everton get the action off and running in this second half.
    • 45+1' There goes the whistle for the break. A 1-0 lead for Everton at half-time.
    • 45+1' Whelan has been booked for clearly tugging at the shirt of Anichebe as he tried to cut loose.
    • 44' We are into one minute of time added on to this first period.
    • 43' Plenty of pushing and shoving in that Stoke box. Not sure who the guilty party is, but Stoke survive the set-piece.
    • 42' Some more promising play by Mirallas. Manages to get the shot away, but a touch by Huth is enough to send the ball wide of goal.
    • 41' Huth is penalised for a spot of grappling with Baines. Clear foul in the Everton area.
    • 40' Heitinga backs into Walters and is penalised for that one. A free-kick to Stoke 30 yards from goal.
    • 39' Walters thumps a shot at goal from distance, but that is a fine diving stop by Howard. Had to at his best to deal with that effort.
    • 38' Jelavic manages to get his effort over the wall and on target, but comfortable enough take for Begovic in the Stoke goal.
    • 37' Whelan clips the heels of Coleman as Everton size up a free-kick from 25 yards out.
    • 36' Crouch almost in for the equaliser, but Shawcross is deemed to be offside.
    • 35' Mirallas did superbly well to beat N'Zonzi and then Cameron on his way to sinking that opening goal from Howard's punch. Can Stoke find a reply?
    • 34' Baines again up to support his forward, but this time his long-range effort flies wide of goal.
    • 33' Jerome clatters into the back of Osman, and that will be a free-kick to the home side.
    • 32' Kevin Mirallas scored his second goal in his last three Premier League apps. He only scored once in his first 16 league appearances for the club.
    • 31' Heitinga fancies his chances from distance. A shot from 30 yards is over the bar, but this is a fine period of pressure from the home team.
    • 30' Huth forced to be aware of his surroundings as his header does enough to dissuade the dangerous Jelavic.
    • 29' Mirallas slams a shot inches wide from Jelavic's pass. Almost a quickfire second for Everton. Stoke find themselves firmly on the backfoot.
    • 28' GOAL! Mirallas scores for Everton. Brilliant breakaway goal from Everton as the Belgian races from deep in his own half to convert with Stoke exposed from their own free-kick. No chance for Begovic as he came off his line.
    • 27' Baines with another lovely cross, but Jelavic can't get enough on the header to convert. Baines is coming up with some delightful deliveries.
    • 26' Gerry Francis, part of the Stoke City coaching staff, is watching this match high from the stands at Goodison Park.
    • 25' Shotton tries to find Jerome with a probing cross, but Heitinga rises to nod out of the danger area. Could easily have scored an own goal there.
    • 24' Coleman skips away from Walters, but his shot flies well over the bar. Slightly disappointing finish to that move.
    • 23' Another superb cross from Baines looking for Jelavic. Huth does just enough to win the ball ahead of Jelavic. Everton suddenly coming to life here.
    • 22' Baines picks out Jelavic with a lovely little cross, but the Croatian nods straight into the arms of Begovic.
    • 21' Crouch nips in ahead of Heitinga, but can't get a shot away as the ball lands in the arms of Howard.
    • 20' Superb run into the area by Baines from Anichebe's pass, but Huth does enough to come across and make a timely tackle.
    • 19' Coleman knocks a pass straight to N'Zonzi. Very slow start from Everton so far this evening.
    • 18' Jagielka makes a fine covering run to clear the danger with Crouch and Jerome sniffing around the home area.
    • 17' Osman guilty of a late tackle and Stoke have a free-kick. Whelan hoists it high into the area, but Crouch guilty of pulling Distin's shirt.
    • 16' This match yet to come to life. All a bit sedate inside Goodison so far with Stoke marginally the better side in these early exchanges.
    • 15' Jerome collects the loose ball. N'Zonzi doing a good job to retain possession of the ball before Howard grabs a cross seconds later.
    • 14' Ball breaks to Anichebe 30 yards from the visiting goal. Has a pop, but straight into the arms of Begovic in the Stoke goal.
    • 13' Anichebe winning the ball, but a poor pass by Baines allows Stoke to win it back.
    • 12' Well, that could easily have been given as hand to ball. Have seen them given before in the past. But Stoke are given the benefit of the doubt.
    • 11' Appeals for hands against Wilson after Osman unloaded a shot from distance. Not sure he knew much about that in his own box.
    • 10' Jelavic just fails to connet with a volley. Everton trying to inject some momentum into their play.
    • 9' Heitinga using all of his experience to make life difficult for Crouch in the air. Great ball in by Mirallas, but Jelavic can't connect in the Stoke area.
    • 8' Crouch wins the ball in the air. Tries to head on for Jerome, but Howard races off his line to clasp the loose ball.
    • 7' Neither team dominant at the moment. Stoke looking as lively as Everton. All a bit stop-start which suits the visiting team.
    • 6' Ryan Shawcross makes his 200th league appearance for Stoke today. They need a few more wins to be sure they are not sucked into any relegation trouble this term.
    • 5' Anichebe trying to send Jelavic racing clear, but Stoke have enough bodies back to deal with the danger.
    • 4' Chance for Walters but he hits the bar after Howard had made a fine stop from the Huth header. Superb long throw-in from Shotton. Almost the dream start for Stoke, but not quite.
    • 3' Jelavic tries to pick out Anichebe with a hopeful cross, but just overcooks the weight of delivery as the ball flies out for a goalkick to the visiting team.
    • 2' Jelavic just fails to control the ball as it races off his boot and winds up out of play before Shotton sees an effort blocked at the other end.
    • 1' Stoke get the action off and running at Goodison Park.
    • 17:25 Teams out on the pitch for this one. Ideal conditions for football as David Moyes and Tony Pulis share a hug near their respective technical areas.
    • 17:20 Phil Jagielka insists there will be no lingering resentment tonight. The previous clash between the clubs in December saw Marouane Fellaini head-butt Ryan Shawcross in the face after what the Toffees believed was considerable provocation throughout the match. Jagielka said: "We won't look back at the game though because now we need to concentrate on being positive and getting the right results."
    • 17:15 Moyes insists he will not destabilise the club despite wanting to make sure conditions are right before committing his future to Goodison Park. Moyes, who has been in charge for the past 11 years, is out of contract in the summer but does not intend to make a decision on a new deal until the end of the season. Chairman Bill Kenwright admitted this week that is not ideal for the club but he respects the Scot's wishes and hopes a new contract can be signed after the last game.
    • 17:10 Tony Pulis: "From the first game of the season, where we played at Reading (a 1-1 draw) and they scored a late penalty, to the last away game at Newcastle (a 2-1 defeat), where we should have been home and hosed (but conceded two goals towards the end), we have managed to shoot ourselves in the foot. We have done that continuously. Every time away from home, it is about concentration levels as much as anything."
    • 17:05 David Moyes: "The people who (generate the atmosphere) are the players and myself - we need to be the ones who make that happen. Hopefully we can give the supporters something to shout about. We have to respect Stoke - we haven't had the best record against them in the past - so we have to try and do well in this match. We have to be more interested in how we played against Manchester City and try to continue that form."
    • 17:00 Stoke have Robert Huth, who served a ban after accepting a violent conduct charge from the Football Association relating to an incident in the Potters' 1-0 defeat at Fulham last month, back alongside centre-half partner Ryan Shawcross. Stoke boss Tony Pulis has a full squad to choose from and Michael Owen is on the bench.
    • 16:55 Everton are without the suspended duo Marouane Fellaini and Steven Pienaar but welcome back goalkeeper Tim Howard and defender Phil Jagielka. Howard (back) and Jagielka (ankle) have both missed the Toffees' last three games.
    • 16:50 EVERTON: Howard, Baines, Coleman, Distin, Heitinga, Jagielka, Gibson, Mirallas, Osman, Anichebe, Jelavic. Subs: Mucha, Oviedo, Naismith, Hitzlsperger, Barkley, Stones, Duffy /// STOKE: Begovic, Cameron, Huth, Whelan, Wilson, Nzonzi, Shawcross, Walters, Crouch, Shotton, Jerome. Subs: Sorenson, Jones, Owen, Adam, Whitehead, Kightly, Wilkinson.
    • 16:45 Everton can move within four points of the Champions League places in with victory over Stoke City in the late kick-off in the Premier League.
