    • - Don't forget you can watch highlights of this match, along with every Premier League game, from 00:01 on Monday morning (UK only).
    • 90+5 That's it! A cracking finish to an ordinary match, Everton with two injury-time goals to come from behind and down a shocked Spurs. Everton now go fourth on goal difference.
    • 90+4 Lloris has to sweep up outside his box, and he lofts it forward but Dempsey can't control. Jelavic was booked for his celebration.
    • 90+3 EVERTON SUB: Jelavic has probably won this match and he is taken off to a round of applause as Heitinga comes on.
    • 90+2 Can Everton snatch it? YES THEY CAN! JELAVIC POACHES A LOW FINISH! In a flash they're ahead as a long ball into the box is bicycle-kicked by Vellios, a mis-kick but it lands for Jelavic who strokes it home!
    • - Fair enough that - Everton would have been harshly done-by to lose. Lloris couldn't see it through the crowded box. Four minutes added on, by the way.
    • 90+1 GOAL EVERTON! At the death Pienaar flies in with a bullet header into the bottom right after a superb cross from Coleman!
    • 90' Gallas with a towering defensive header, not bad given he's under six foot.
    • 89' Cute through ball from Huddlestone is slightly overhit for Sigurdsson and Howard gathers.
    • 88' Spurs play it out of defence and the break is on - but Everton get back and Adebayor opts to stand it up.
    • 87' Everton have laid camp on the edge of the Spurs box - but Spurs even have Adebayor back and it's all very congested.
    • 86' Falque does come on, with Defoe coming off. So a 4-5-1 now with Falque on the left.
    • 85' SIGURDSSON HITS THE BAR! Fantastic dipping effort from the Icelander that leaves Howard a bystander as it lands on the crossbar.
    • 84' The ball is ricocheting around at the moment as long balls and blocks interfere with one another.
    • 83' Spurs have had 51% possession. A narrow match looks set to be settled by the narrowest of margins. Falque, meanwhile, gets ready to come on for the visitors.
    • 82' Everton look out of ideas. Fellaini has been really disappointing. All a bit long ball now.
    • 81' Spurs have their midfield four operating on the edge of the final third - two banks of four, very Everton.
    • 80' EVERTON SUB: Vellios comes on for Osman as Everton go for broke.
    • 79' Walker with a long clearance as Spurs get everyone back behind the ball, only Adebayor giving chase.
    • 78' Coleman now on the right, he skips inside one challenge but can't beat Sandro.
    • 77' SPURS SUB: Dembele doesn't look overly enamoured to be replaced by Sigurdsson.
    • 76' Yes, initially I thought it was a lob but it took a big touch off Distin to leave Howard for dead,. 1-0.
    • 75' GOAL TOTTENHAM! DEMPSEY WITH A SCREAMER! Unless it took a deflection, will look to the replay for that...
    • 74' Good save by Lloris from Osman's low drive, the France keeper doing well to keep the parry away from poacher Jelavic!
    • 73' Good spell of pressure by Everton but Osman's ball wide for Naismith is poor.
    • 72' SPURS SUB: Lennon is replaced by Huddlestone. Hmmm. Dembele and Dempsey to play wide then.
    • 71' Dembele catches Naismith on the left as that free-kick comes to nothing. Free-kick to Everton now.
    • 70' Walker skips away from Osman and goes down after buying the touch. Free-kick Spurs on the right - and a harsh booking.
    • 69' Pretty scrappy now as Spurs have it in the Everton half without really doing much. Lots of bluster.
    • 68' Jelavic is holding his right knee but he's back on his feet again.
    • 67' Naismith lofts one into the box but Jelavic is crowded out by defenders. Jelavic stays down...
    • 66' Baines in acres of space on the left cuts it back for Osman on the edge of the box, but Gallas shuts him down and the England midfielder blasts well over.
    • 65' More Everton shouts for a handball as a Naismith cross is blocked by Sandro but nothing doing.
    • 64' The initial ball in is headed clear by Jagielka, now Vertonghen drives in a low ball but the England defender clears again.
    • 63' Dempsey is brought down by Naismith around 35 yards out, Dempsey was happy to carry on but the ref had already blown.
    • 62' Gibson to swing his free-kick in from the right, Fellaini finally escapes Gallas and Caulker but he heads weakly at Lloris.
    • 61' Foul on Coleman by Adebayor, who is defending more than one usually sees.
    • 60' Poor ball by Fellaini after good work from Naismith to rob Caulker, who let a ball bounce when he should have cleared.
    • 59' Fellaini is putting himself about now, but Caulker and Gallas are holding firm. Good spell again for Everton.
    • 58' Wasted ball from Pienaar on the left, straight to Lloris. Much like the first half, Everton start well but Spurs' possession game brings them back into it.
    • 57' Walker flicks on the corner, now Vertonghen attacks but Jagielka is close to him and Howard claims easily.
    • 56' Dembele, Adebayor and Lennon combine on the edge of the box, Lennon winning a corner from the right. Dembele pulling the strings.
    • 55' Vertonghen joins Lennon and Walker over this... Touched to him by Lennon and the Belgian drives a ferocious, swerving effort that Howard tips over!
    • 54' Dempsey is down with a bit of a knock after Gibson fouled him in that incident.
    • 53' Dempsey has a run and a shot from distance, which is blocked, but he was caught. Free-kick.
    • 52' Another Spurs corner as Gallas's effort takes a deflection off Naismith to go well wide.
    • 51' Spurs laying camp on the edge of the box now but they're probing calmly and patiently until a Sandro shot takes a huge deflection, going well wide with Howard stranded.
    • 50' Walker finds Lennon on the right but his cross is headed away by Jagielka.
    • 49' Fellaini with a ball wide to Pienaar, he feed JELAVIC but Gallas flies out to block his finish!
    • 48' BIG MISS NAISMITH! The wall blocked Baines's effort, it dropped back to the England left-back who took it on the chest and drilled a low shot through the bodies in the box, Naismith reacting but putting wide from close range!
    • 47' Gibson, Baines and Pienaar are over it. This would suit a right-footer but Baines is the better direct free-kick taker of the three...
    • 46' Osman with a good touch but Sandro tugs his shirt and trips him, free-kick 25 yards out, a touch to the left...
    • 46' The second half is underway. Shame that Mirallas is off - he was looking pretty exciting.
    • 46' EVERTON SUB: A half-time change as Naismith replaces Mirallas, who must be feeling the pain of a thigh injury that had ruled him out for four matches.
    • - @incakolanews: "I know Fellaini is playing as 1) you mentioned him on the txt & 2) the haircut in corner of eye. Apart from that...errr..." - true, he has had a quiet game but if he explodes into life later, don't say I didn't warn you... FOLLOW ON TWITTER!
    • - Half-time stats: Everton moved back into contention later in the half and were on just under 49% possession, 10 efforts on goal to Spurs' five although none of Everton's were on target. I would, however, count Lloris's save at Jelavic's feet as the best chance.
    • - What did you make of that half? Any revised predictions? Should Everton have had a penalty? Let me know on Twitter @Reda_Eurosport. FOLLOW ON TWITTER!
    • 45+1 Half-time and it's goalless - some home fans boo, aimed at the ref one assumes, but he was correct not to give a penalty there.
    • 45+1 Fellaini almost meets the corner but once more Caulker intervenes! That was not a penalty on Gallas, by the way - he had his arms by his side and back to goal when Pienaar struck. Good decision by the ref.
    • 45' Again Everton demand a penalty as the ball skips up into Gallas's midriff! Now Mirallas on a mazy run but his left-foot shot is blocked by Caulker! And now Caulker with a vital interception as Osman fired into the bottom right! That was goalbound!
    • 44' Shout for handball in the box as Dempsey clears following a Vertonghen defensive interception. Replay shows it hit his chest but an arm movement - to present the chest - made it look like a handball from some angles.
    • 43' Pienaar tries to take a free-kick quickly after a foul by Sandro, but Friend stops him in his tracks.
    • 42' Great tackle by Defoe tracking back on the left after Coleman raced through on to a crossfield pass.
    • 41' Baines is now booked for chopping down Lennon in full flight.
    • 39' JUST WIDE BY OSMAN! Left-foot drive flashing across goal and just past the far post after good hold-up play by Fellaini.
    • 38' Now Dembele and Dempsey are asking Friend if bodychecks are legal in his view. He's not going to change his mind... Gibson will finally take the free-kick, headed away by Caulker.
    • 37' Friend books Vertonghen for that foul on Coleman, or possibly dissent. Not a great minute for the ref to be honest.
    • 36' Fellaini surely fouls fellow Belgian Dembele, but no free-kick given. However another Belgian, Vertonghen, is penalised for a softer foul. Flemish anger follows.
    • 35' In the end Baines sends it in but Adebayor heads clear.
    • 34' A huge delay in this as Spurs' two-man wall of ickle fellas refuses to move back 10 yards. Defoe booked, Lennon warned.
    • 33' Everton have a free-kick on the left side, with Pienaar and Baines over it...
    • 32' Jeers as Adebayor miscontrols. Ever popular, the Togo striker. I actually find him amusing.
    • 31' Cracking touch from Mirallas to release Coleman, although he is challenged by Vertonghen.
    • 30' Overhit cross by Fellaini on the left, searching for Jelavic but over his head. Good play by Baines in the build-up.
    • 29' Pienaar's delivery is a good one but Fellaini - under pressure from Caulker - heads high and wide. He feels it was a corner but the touch was off the Fro.
    • 28' Coleman on the right wins a corner off Dempsey. Pienaar to take it...
    • 27' A lull in play, the first today, as both sides take a bit of a breather.
    • 26' Mirallas on the right, he cuts inside Vertonghen, finding Osman, now Pienaar with Baines on the overlap but he decides to shoot and sends it well wide.
    • 25' Coleman blasts a fierce drive into the advertising hoardings after it opened up for him on the right wing. Should have cut it back into the box.
    • 24' Friend is having a word with Sandro. Not sure what about.
    • 23' Dempsey just about fails to keep the ball from running out after a failed one-two with Adebayor.
    • 22' Nice feet from Sandro to work a ball wide to Defoe, but a good slide tackle from Baines blocks his centre.
    • 21' Distin with cool defending to clear to touch under pressure. Throw to Spurs.
    • 20' Dempsey flicks it on for Defoe but his volley is blocked; Spurs retain possession as Sandro fires in a low drive, blocked by Fellaini for a corner.
    • 19' The pendulum has swung back Everton's way as Gibson fires a shot a few yards wide.
    • 18' Gallas with a vital block as Jelavic almost connects with a fine cross from Mirallas, whose wingplay this season has been among the best I've seen in England.
    • 17' Jelavic could be in here after getting a run on Gallas, but the ball across to Osman is a touch too quick for the England midfielder, who fails to control it.
    • 16' Everton started brilliantly - but Spurs are now on 60% possession, as you'd expect from a team spearheaded by Dembele.
    • 15' Dempsey shoots from the free-kick, which was 30 yards out to the left, but too close to his USA buddy Howard, who parries and catches the second ball.
    • 14' Osman gives it away and then Dempsey is chopped down by Gibson. Free-kick Spurs and a chat from Friend.
    • 13' Mirallas argues that Vertonghen got the last touch but Spurs get the throw.
    • 12' Very strong challenge by Sandro on Fellaini, but a fair one says the ref. Expect some comeback for that.
    • 11' Fellaini holds it up for Coleman, who scuttles in down the left wing but it bounces off his arm and the defence clears anyway. Free-kick.
    • 10' Spurs have a goal kick after Everton fail to do anything with the corner. Bright start to the match.
    • 9' Dembele skips away from Osman and slips a cute pass to Defoe on the left edge of the box but he can't cut inside Distin. Everton break and Jelavic is played through but Lloris flies out to block at his feet! Brilliant one-handed stop as the Croat rounded him!
    • 8' Distin heads Walker's cross clear, it drops to Dembele who shoots but too close to Howard.
    • 7' Vertonghen gets forward from left back and pumps in a cross that is half-cleared to Lennon wide right...
    • 6' Gibson handballs and Spurs have a free-kick and a chance to slow things down.
    • 5' Mirallas almost flicks it through to Jelavic, but Lloris reads it and rushes out to claim.
    • 4' Spurs see a bit of the ball finally, having ridden that early spell of Toffees pressure.
    • 3' Lovely skills from Mirallas, who turns inside and out and finds Pienaar, he threads it through to Coleman on the overlap, but Spurs clear his cross. Good start Everton.
    • 2' Early pressure from Everton sees Pienaar release Osman, but his cross from the left wing is blocked.
    • 1' Seems Kevin Friend is the ref today - erroneous information from the Press Association.
    • 1' The first half is underway.
    • 14:55 This match will have an impact on the upper end of the standings - Spurs are fourth on 26 points, ahead of West Brom on goal difference, but if Everton (seventh on 23 points) win, they will go top as they already have a superior goal difference. Premier League table
    • 14:50 Lee Mason is the ref today. He likes yellow, but not red - 51 bookings in 13 matches this season, nine in the Premier League, and no sendings-off.
    • 14:45 William Hill have Everton as favourites at Everton (10/11), their odds shortening after Bale was ruled out. Tottenham are 16/5 and the draw 12/5. I can see a 2-2 draw - what's your prediction? Let me know on Twitter @Reda_Eurosport. FOLLOW ON TWITTER!
    • 14:40 FACTS: Tottenham have gone 12 games without a draw in the Premier League. If Premier League games had ended at 80 minutes this season, Spurs would be top. Jermain Defoe has scored three braces this season, only Demba Ba can match this.
    • 14:35 FACTS: Everton had only won two of their first 18 Premier League meetings with Tottenham at Goodison Park (W2 D9 L7) before winning in each of the last two seasons. Each of Everton’s last three league games have ended 1-1. Everton have hit the woodwork 13 times this season, more than any other side. Everton have fired in more shots on target than any other team in the Premier League this season (96).
    • 14:30 Andre Villas-Boas (Tottenham): "Panathinaikos put in a good performance, they were very well organised. They had a big chance at 1-1, but it would've been unfair if we had lost. It was a good solid performance during the 90 minutes. We managed to hold on and score which was important for us."
    • 14:30 David Moyes (Everton) on his plans in January: "We may well go into the loan market and see if we can find anything in that area. I think that would probably be the way we are looking - but that was the same as we were doing last year. But what happened is we got a sale of (Diniyar) Bilyaletdinov, who went back to Russia, and it freed us up a little bit of cash to go and make the signings. So you never can tell."
    • 14:25 Spurs are without talismanic winger Gareth Bale, who has a hamstring injury, as does Michael Dawson, who is replaced by William Gallas at centre-back. Bale's absence is covered by the decision to play two strikers, a rarity for Spurs this season, in a classic 'little and large' combination. Midfielder Scott Parker (achilles) and left-back Benoit Assou-Ekotto (knee) are a week away from full fitness and defender Younes Kaboul (knee) is also unavailable. Hugo Lloris returns in goal.
    • 14:25 Good news for Everton in that Seamus Coleman and Kevin Mirallas have both been declared fit, having been major doubts for this match. Both had been absent through injury in recent weeks. Victor Anichebe and Phil Neville remain on the casualty list. Darron Gibson replaces Neville, while Coleman plays right-back in the continued absence of Tony Hibbert, who is not match fit after suffering a calf problem. Sylvain Distin gets the nod ahead of John Heitinga in defence.
    • 14:20 TEAMS - Everton: Howard, Coleman, Baines, Jagielka, Distin, Osman, Pienaar, Gibson, Fellaini, Mirallas, Jelavic; Subs: Mucha, Heitinga, Oviedo, Naismith, Hitzlsperger, Barkley, Vellios /// Tottenham: Lloris, Walker, Gallas, Caulker, Vertonghen, Lennon, Sandro, Dembele, Dempsey, Adebayor, Defoe; Subs: Friedel, Naughton, Huddlestone, Townsend, Livermore, Falque, Sigurdsson

  9. Spurs consistently prove that they cannot defend at the end of games, so why even bother trying. Leave your offensive players on the pitch and go for the jugular. It would be nice to see a blowout once in a while, instead of tying (or losing) in the last minutes.
