    • 90+4 QPR have to clear away another decent ball by Kolarov.
    • 90+2 GOAL FOR CITY!! Tevez is taking the credit – he kept the attack alive a few times and redirected a miss-hit Edin Dzeko shot in the net after the Bosnian was found by Yaya Toure. Game over.
    • 90' There will be FIVE extra minutes – mainly due to that knock to Ferdinand.
    • 89' Nasri comes off and young Ivorian Razak comes on.
    • 88' Hard to believe this match is still on the line. City have faded badly but can QPR take advantage?
    • 86' Cisse on for Granero.
    • 85' Zamora booked for tugging at Carlos Tevez a couple of times. The referee actually played advantage but called back the former Fulham man to give him a yellow.
    • 84' Dyer has a shot blocked as City are forced to do more defending.
    • 83' Bosingwa gives the ball away cheaply but City cannot take full advantage when Milner makes a hash of a cross.
    • 82' David Silva coming off and James Milner coming on to try and add some energy to the City line-up.
    • 80' QPR are finally causing problems and City are starting to look tired. Fabio gives the ball away cheaply though.
    • 78' Now Lescott fails to deal with a Granero free-kick whipped in and again it is Nelsen who nearly gets on the end of it. City living dangerously.
    • 77' Granero's corner is headed back across the face of the goal by Onuoha at the back post and Nelsen has a chance to score but produces a centre-halves finish. That was a chance – woeful defending from city.
    • 76' Granero finds Johnson with a fine ball and Johnson's low cross is deflected behind by Kompany for a corner.
    • 75' Kolo Toure comes on for Zabaleta who seems to have tweaked his hamstring.
    • 74' Rodwell booked for sliding in on Granero. The City man thought he won the ball.
    • 73' Tevez with a low ball across the face of the goal which is just a little too far in front of Silva.
    • 72' Kieron Dyer – remember him? He is on for Faurlin.
    • 72' Kolarov and Onuoha go down after banging into each other. Again Kolarov jumped in a bit. He escapes again with that second yellow card.
    • 71' Nasri lines up a shot on the edge of the box but it is blocked by a nearby defender.
    • 70' David Silva is getting more and more into this match – he has just slipped a fine ball in behind the defence to put Dzeko clear but the Bosnian striker just strayed offside. He produced a terrible finish in any event.
    • 68' Decent QPR counter orchestrated by Granero but when Shaun Wright-Phillips finally got a shot away it was blocked by a City defender.
    • 67' Anton Ferdinand is finally making way after never quite shaking off that Kolarov knock and ex-City man Nedum Onuoha comes on.
    • 65' Bosingwa with a left foot shot from distance - straight at Hart.
    • 64' And again Green comes across well to gather a long ball. QPR behind but you can't blame the keeper this week.
    • 63' Green has to come out quickly and gather a ball intended for Tevez.
    • 62' Surely City will push hard for another to avoid any more scares?
    • 61' GOAL CITY!!! We are back on script….Great stuff from Tevez as he reacts quickly to being fed by Kolarov in the box…he pushes the ball forward and quickly puts across a half-volley cross and Dzeko is there to nod it home from close range.
    • 60' Johnson and Zamora nearly link-up again. The ex-Fulham team-mates starting to enjoy themselves.
    • 59' QPR ARE LEVEL!!!!!! Who would have thought it? Brilliant from Andy Johnson who catches David Silva in possession – he then runs into the edge of the box and fires at goal. His shot gets a deflection and Hart makes a superb save but Zamora reacts quickest to nod home the rebound.
    • 57' QPR's first attack of the half – Fabio gets free down the left and puts in a cross. Zamora heads over the bar. Not really enough power on the header though even if it did find the target.
    • 56' Dzeko gets in behind the QPR defence – but there was a reason – he was offside. Anton Ferdinand not looking comfortable – he may have to go off.
    • 55' QPR again just staying deep – letting City play in front of them – a one sided match.
    • 54' Dzeko having a bit of a 'Bambi on ice' performance – as he loses possession again up front.
    • 52' OFF THE BAR FROM ZABALETA – Just the cutest little ball from Silva to slip him in at the edge of the box – then the Argentine full-back opened up his body and curled an effort towards the goal but it cannoned off the bar.
    • 51' Back underway after a three minute delay. Ferdinand looks okay.
    • 49' Kolarov did jump in a bit there and has already been booked - a little lucky the referee gave him the benefit of the doubt. Ferdinand very groggy.
    • 48' Kolarov bangs into Anton Ferdinand and he will need some treatment.
    • 47' Dzeko feeds the onrushing Tevez who fires a decent low shot on target but Green is well positioned and makes a good save at the near post.
    • 46' QPR to get us underway – let's hope it is a bit more entertaining in this second 45 minutes.
    • HT And there is the half-time whistle. City lead 1-0 and look comfortable but it has been poor to watch for the neutral. QPR have offered very little.
    • 45+1 Granero with a shot from edge of the box but it goes well over. Still the former Real Madrid man has been one of the better QPR players.
    • 45' Kolarov booked for his second cynical foul of the match.
    • 44' Some more decent passing from City on the edge of the box but Nasri and Tevez just can't quite link up at the end.
    • 43' Good goalkeeping from Hart as he punches away a Granero corner despite Zamora standing in front of him.
    • 42' Good defending from Zabaleta as he twice nicks the ball from the attacking Fabio but despite all his efforts he still ends up giving away a corner.
    • 40' Dzeko is fouled by Nelsen but the referee plays the advantage. About a minute later he talks to the New Zealand centre-back but he keeps his cards in his pocket.
    • 38' Still very comfortable for City but you feel they still need the second before they can relax.
    • 36' Rodwell wins possession and then plays a one-two with Tevez. He storms into the box but tries to chip it on to Dzeko when perhaps he could have shot himself.
    • 35' Superb cross field ball from Kolarov finds Silva and it looks like the little Spaniard is going to run clear on goal but as he shoots, Fabio slides in to make a fine block.
    • 33' QPR have a little spell of pressure and even earn a free-kick in an attacking position on the left – Hart though comes out well to punch away the resulting free.
    • 32' City will be up to fourth if things stay as they are but still behind West Brom and Swansea on goal difference.
    • 30' Half-an-hour gone and with QPR offering very little there isn't much to excite.
    • 29' Good passing move from City ends when Dzeko miscontrols a pass.
    • 28' Poor defending from QPR makes City's close passing look better than it actually is, Silva wriggles his way free of defenders and Green has to make a close range save to deny him.
    • 26' City with 70 per cent of the possession so far.
    • 25' QPR defending in numbers at the edge of the area as City look to squeeze the ball through tight holes for an opening.
    • 24' First shot on target from QPR as Granero fires a left shot on target. Not the worst effort but Hart has it watched all the way and easily saves.
    • 23' QPR just can't seem to string any passes together – just too easy for City so far.
    • 21' Great build up play for City as Kolarov, Silva and Tevez all combine but then Kolarov looks to give the ball back to Tevez when he should have squared it to Dzeko.
    • 20' Manchester City failed to drop any points at home last season after taking the lead. They last failed to win there after leading in February 2011 – a 1-1 draw with Fulham. (Infostrada)
    • 19' Seven summer signings playing for QPR but they have offered little to no resistance so far. A procession for City thus far.
    • 18' City win a free-kick down the right. Chance for Silva to put a ball into the box but he overhits it and it goes wide.
    • 16' GOAL FOR CITY!!!! The corner is curled to the back post and Tevez fires a shot off Bobby Zamora. It lands to Yaya Toure near the penalty box and he fires the ball into the net to give City a deserved lead.
    • 15' Make that seven corners for City.
    • 14' City have just won their sixth corner already. QPR not happy about the decision.
    • 13' Jack Rodwell nearly scores an own goal for the ages – he wins a tackle in midfield but he does it by blazing a looping ball back towards his goal. Joe Hart is alert but the ball actually goes just over for a QPR corner.
    • 12' OFF THE LINE FROM QPR!!! Another corner is whipped in and Park and Fabio have to combine to clear away Dzeko's header. All City so far.
    • 11' Ryan Nelsen has to do well to tackle ahead of Tevez after a low ball from Nasri.
    • 10' Jose Mourinho is in the crowd watching City. Real Madrid in the same Champions League group as City of course.
    • 8' Yet another corner for Manchester City – they play it short and then Yaya Toure is found at the back post. He tries to loop a header across the face of the goal but Green gathers.
    • 7' Half hearted appeals from the City players for a handball against Faurlín but there was no way he could get his arm out of the way.
    • 6' Roberto Mancini is taking charge of his 100th Premier League match today.
    • 5' City dominating the possession early as you might expect.
    • 4' Another corner and a great delivery from Nasri – Dzeko gets a head on it under pressure but it goes just a few yards wide.
    • 3' Rather tame atmosphere at the start of this match – certainly a little less crazy than when the sides met in May.
    • 2' Early corner from Man City is pushed away from Robert Green – he needs to impress today with Julio Cesar on his way.
    • 1' And City get us underway.
    • 17:27 New signings Javi Garcia and Scott Sinclair are being introduced to the home fans.
    • 17:25 The teams coming out now - QPR wearing red.
    • 17:20 Today's referee is Chris Foy. After winning another cycling gold medal at the Olympics this summer he is back refereeing. This is his second match of the season - he did Arsenal's 0-0 draw with Sunderland.
    • 17:15 Queens Park Rangers signed defender Stephane Mbia from Olympique Marseille, just minutes before the transfer window closed, but he is not eligible. José Bosingwa and Ryan Nelsen make their first start as Hughes looks to tighten things after shipping five goals to Swansea on opening day.
    • 17:10 QPR boss Mark Hughes will consider allowing goalkeeper Robert Green to leave in January if he is unhappy about his lack of first-team football. Hughes surprised many when he pulled off the signing of Brazil goalkeeper Julio Cesar from Inter Milan this week. The 32-year-old will now become first choice at Loftus Road, relegating Green after unconvincing displays in his first two games for the club. But he gets a chance to impress today.
    • 17:05 New signing Esteban Granero makes his QPR debut after his arrival from Real Madrid on Thursday. Samba Diake is out due to personal reasons so Ale Faurlin makes his first appearance of the season.
    • 17:00 City are still without striker Sergio Aguero and midfielder Gareth Barry. Aguero (knee) is likely to be out until mid-September while Barry (abdominal) might still be three or four weeks away from a return despite a recent reserves outing. England right-back Micah Richards (ankle) also remains on the sidelines.
    • 16:55 Manchester City had a busy transfer deadline day as Javi Garcia, Maicon, Scott Sinclair, Richard Wright and Matija Nastasic joined the Barclays Premier League champions. Only Sinclair is involved, he is on the bench.
    • 16:50 TEAMS - Manchester City: Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Lescott, Kolarov, Yaya, Rodwell, Silva, Nasri, Tevez, Dzeko. Subs: Pantilimon, Clichy, Kolo, Milner, Sinclair, Razak, Balotelli /// QPR: Green; Bosingwa, Nelsen, Ferdinand, Fabio; Wright-Phillips, Granero, Faurlin, Park; Zamora, Johnson.
