    • 88' James McArthur comes on for Wigan as Gomez departs.
    • 87' Incidentally, that was Tevez's eighth goal in nine games!
    • 86' Wigan are boxed into their half right now, and Martinez is waving them forward.
    • 85' It's suddenly all City, with just that moment of magic from Tevez separating the sides.
    • 84' What a strike from Tevez, whose shot arrowed into the top corner superbly, leaving Joel with no chance.
    • 83' GOAL! It's a cracking goal as Carlos Tevez jinks inside two challenges and slams an emphatic shot into the top corner of the Wigan goal, and he gives City the lead seven minutes from time! Wigan have to respond and quickly.
    • 82' City are beginning to come back into their own, and Wigan are suddenly defending very deep.
    • 81' Scott Sinclair comes on now for City, and that's Mancini's final change. Richards makes way on his return to action.
    • 79' Toure drills a wild shot well wide, and a sigh goes up around the ground.
    • 77' Hart releases Milner down the right as City look to launch a quick break, but Nasri sees a shot blocked away by Gomez.
    • 76' Boyce makes a sturdy challenge on the edge of the visitors' box to stop Dzeko in his tracks, and the pace of the game is much quicker in the second half.
    • 75' Tevez is furious with the referee as he feels he is illegally crowded out inside the Wigan box, but the referee sees nothing wrong with Wigan's defending.
    • 74' McManaman jinks inside from the right and gets a shot away, but it's a tame one and Hart can gather comfortably.
    • 73' Kompany again has to cover as Milner loses the ball to Kone, and he's furious with some of his team-mates.
    • 72' Nasri skips away from his marker, but he cannot get a decent delivery into the box with Dzeko frustrated watching on.
    • 71' Figueroa heads clear from inside the Wigan box, and City are beginning to put more pressure on their visitors.
    • 69' Dzeko is twice denied a shot on goal by Boyce, who marks the forward very closely and to good effect.
    • 68' Martinez makes a change now as Callum McManaman is introduced, accompanied by a round of boos. Di Santo makes way.
    • 67' Beausejour fails to control a long ball as he charges down the left, and Joel nearly picked him out perfectly.
    • 66' Richards brings the ball down the right at pace, but another move breaks down as he tries to find Tevez.
    • 65' Hart is furious with himself as he slices a clearance out of play, and the home fans roar on their side once more.
    • 64' Kompany is superb once more as Toure sloppily gives away possession in the City half, but the captain races in to make a brilliant interception.
    • 63' Wigan break at the other end, and McCarthy goes down under a challenge from Barry as he wins a free kick.
    • 62' Dzeko takes a tumble on the edge of the Wigan box, but the referee looks on disdainfully.
    • 61' Milner is making an immediate impact as he again gets down the right and cuts the ball back from the byline, but no blue shirt is on hand to meet the delivery.
    • 60' Wigan have enjoyed 61 per cent of the possession in this second half, and they are definitely going for the win.
    • 59' Manchester City have allowed their opponents fewer shots on target against them than any other Premier League side (81), but they have been fortunate not to concede so far this evening.
    • 58' Nasri is caught offside now as Wigan continue to catch their opponents out with a high line. Mancini is very frustrated on the touchline.
    • 57' Mancini makes his second change as Milner replaces Garcia in the midfield.
    • 56' Di Santo is improving as he gets more and more into the game, and City need to be aware of his movement.
    • 55' What a challenge from Kompany! Maloney is again the man to cause havoc around the hosts' box as he gets down the right and squares the ball to Kone, but the City captain is on hand to make an impeccable challenge inside the penalty area.
    • 54' The atmosphere has picked up a bit in the second half too, and both sides have more urgency.
    • 53' Kone lashes a fierce shot narrowly wide of the far post as he is afforded ample time and space to get the effort away.
    • 52' STAT: 68% of the goals Wigan have scored have been netted in the second half this season, the highest percentage in the top flight.
    • 51' Tevez is booked for a late challenge on Figueroa, and it's a scrappy start to the second half.
    • 50' Off the line! Maloney twists and turns on the edge of the City box before driving a low shot beyond Hart and towards the far corner of the net, with Joleon Lescott on hand to make a crucial clearance off the line!
    • 49' City have started well in the second half, with Wigan slower to get out of the blocks after the break.
    • 48' Richards charges down the right once more, and he continues to make a positive impact with his runs down the flank.
    • 47' Dzeko will give City a bit more presence in attack, but the home fans did not seem to entirely welcome the decision to remove Aguero.
    • 46' The second half gets under way, and City immediately grab possession and keep the ball around halfway.
    • - Mancini has made a change ahead of the second half with Edin Dzeko introduced at the expense of Sergio Aguero. What do you make of that? What's your prediction for the full-time scoreline? Get in touch with your thoughts via Twitter @Dan_Eurosport
    • 45+3' The whistle goes, and it's goalless at half-time between Manchester City and Wigan at the Etihad. It's been a largely sluggish match so far, but Wigan should have scored twice in two minutes through Kone and Di Santo, both of whom lacked conviction with just Hart to beat.
    • 45+2' Maloney tries his luck as we near the half-time whistle as he fires a wild shot high and wide from range.
    • 45+1' City are ending the half with some good possession, but Tevez is ruled offside as he races in behind Figueroa.
    • 45' There will be three added minutes at the end of this first half, with City about to have a corner with Kolarov trotting over to take it.
    • 44' Di Santo draws a fine challenge from Kompany as he skips down the left this time, and Wigan continue to look bright.
    • 43' Wigan have enjoyed 55 per cent of the possession in this first half, and Mancini cannot be at all happy with his side's display so far.
    • 42' Kone takes the ball down the left for Wigan, but he runs out of ideas as Richards comes across and clears upfield.
    • 41' Richards is booked for a late challenge on Di Santo, and he cannot have any real complaints.
    • 40' The home fans are restless now with their side hanging on at the back very unconvincingly.
    • 39' Maloney hits the target with a swerving effort, but it does not trouble Hart, who gathers the ball fairly comfortably.
    • 38' Suddenly the match has come to life, and now Maloney stands over a free kick 25 yards out as Di Santo is fouled by Tevez.
    • 37' What a glorious opportunity for Di Santo to score as he races through on goal with just Hart to beat, and he slides a tame shot straight at the keeper from close range - he had to break the deadlock there!
    • 36' Chance for Kone! A through ball from Maloney picks out the forward, who miscontrols the ball with just Hart to beat - he should have done much better there!
    • 35' City have kept eight clean sheets in their last nine matches in all competitions at the Etihad Stadium, but they have not looked particularly secure at the back so far this evening.
    • 34' Kolarov does very well to scamper back and clear as Beausejour whips over a cracking delivery from the left with Kone lurking.
    • 33' The hosts have been very lacklustre so far, and the crowd give them a loud rendition of "come on City, come on City!"
    • 32' Kone has been pretty anonymous so far, but he drops deep to collect the ball before losing it to Garcia.
    • 31' Joel is roundly booed as he takes an age to take a goal kick, and that sums up the opening period of play.
    • 30' Aguero is ruled just offside as he again looks to slip in behind Boyce, and Wigan's defensive line has been successful so far.
    • 29' There really is very little to report from this match so far, with both sides playing in a very lethargic manner.
    • 28' STAT: Wigan have failed to score in eight of the 15 Premier League matches against City, but they are unbeaten in the seven where they have netted (five wins & two draws).
    • 27' Nasri is attended to on the pitch, and helped off the field as he hobbles away. The challenge was tough, but not malicious or particularly ugly.
    • 26' Nasri goes down clutching his ankle with a firm challenge coming in from Gomez in midfield, and James Milner warms up as a result.
    • 25' Scharner does very well to hastily backtrack and head the ball clear as Garcia looks to pick out the onrushing Aguero.
    • 24' Toure brings the ball forward from deep once more, and City are finally beginning to press a bit higher up the field.
    • 23' Richards fouls Beausejour as the defender gets down the left and looks to beat his man.
    • 22' Martinez is urging his players to increase the tempo of their passing as they keep the ball in their own half.
    • 21' Chance! Aguero jinks inside Boyce and opens up his body in an attempt to curl a precise shot into the far corner of the net, but it drifts agonisingly wide!
    • 20' Richards again bursts down the right, but the offside flag goes up immediately.
    • 19' City keep the ball very effectively around halfway, but again it comes to nothing with Wigan defending very deep.
    • 18' Richards produces his first barnstorming run of the evening as he skips past Gomez, but he eventually loses the ball to Beausejour.
    • 17' It's been a very mundane opening to the match, and I don't recall Samir Nasri having a touch so far.
    • 16' Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero have netted hat-tricks for Man City in two of the last three home games for City against Wigan, and both look bright early on.
    • 15' Wigan manage to stop City playing with a fine interception from McCarthy before some good possession in their own half.
    • 14' Both managers are suddenly very animated on the touchline with the match being played at a poor pace.
    • 13' Tevez is dropping deep and linking up the play in the final third, with Aguero surging in behind the Wigan defence.
    • 12' Toure very nearly sets Aguero through on goal with a delightful chipped delivery over the Wigan back line, but a late offside flag halts him abruptly.
    • 11' Both sides are very much in form: Manchester City have won seven and lost one of their last eight matches in all competitions, while Wigan have won six and lost just one of their last eight.
    • 10' Toure drops deeper and deeper to pick up possession for the hosts, and City look to be set up very defensively this evening.
    • 9' It's a sluggish start to the match with neither side really threatening early on, and Wigan keep the ball at the back with the pace of the game pretty slow.
    • 8' City keep the ball patiently in their own half, with Mancini imploring his side to hold possession.
    • 7' Kolarov whips a decent effort over the Wigan wall, but the ball flashes just wide with Joel not overly concerned.
    • 6' Beausejour is penalised - quite rightly - for a high boot at Richards's face, and fortunately the City defender laughs it off as he walks away with City preparing to take the free kick.
    • 5' STAT: Manchester City have conceded the joint-fewest goals in the second half of Premier League matches this season (15).
    • 4' City have yet to get the ball down in earnest, and Toure is forced to clear on the edge of the hosts' box as Kone surges forward.
    • 3' Wigan have failed to score in their last five visits to face City, but they have started very brightly this evening.
    • 2' Wigan, in their all-black away strip this evening, win a corner as Gomez makes a strong run down the left, but City are able to clear through Lescott.
    • 1' The first half is under way at a less-than-packed Etihad Stadium, and Wigan keep the ball well early on.
    • 19:40 The referee for this evening's encounter is Anthony Taylor, and we're all set for kick-off...
    • 19:35 City trail United by 15 points, albeit with a game in hand on their Manchester rivals. United take on West Ham this evening, and they can potentially move to within a point of the title. As for the top four places, City have a seven point gap from fifth-placed Tottenham. Premier League table
    • 19:30 Wigan are priced at 10/1 to claim what would be a huge victory in their pursuit of top-tier survival, while Manchester City are 1/4 to win. The draw is at 5/1. What is your prediction for this evening's match? I'm going for a pulsating 2-2 draw, personally. Get in touch and I'll publish a few comments...
    • 19:25 As for City's line-up, Mancini restores goalkeeper Joe Hart and makes four other defensive changes. Joleon Lescott, Aleksandar Kolarov and deep-lying midfielder Javi Garcia all join Richards in coming in for the clash.
    • 19:20 Wigan go into this game three points from safety but with two games in hand over all their rivals with only seven games of the campaign remaining. "Everyone is aware the achievement as a team is more important than individuals. We have players who are fully aware of what they need to bring to the team and everyone is expecting to be used from now until the end of the season," Martinez said before tonight's match.
    • 19:15 This match has, of course, been rather poorly billed as the 'dress rehearsal' with both sides to appear in the FA Cup final on Saturday 11 May. That match is not going to dominate Roberto Martinez's thoughts, however, and he has spoken of his determination to make sure his side do not 'take their eye off the ball', so to speak.
    • 19:10 Micah Richards makes his first appearance since October 27 when City beat Swansea 1-0. He had to be stretchered off the field with five minutes remaining in that match. What do you make of the two line-ups? You can get in touch throughout the evening via Twitter - @Dan_Eurosport
    • 19:05 Both teams are now in - Manchester City: Hart, Richards, Kolarov, Lescott, Kompany, Barry, Garcia, Yaya Toure, Nasri, Aguero, Tevez. Subs: Pantilimon, Milner, Dzeko, Sinclair, Rodwell, Clichy, K Toure. /// Wigan: Robles, Kone, Alcaraz, McCarthy, Di Santo, Maloney, Gomez, Boyce, Beausejour, Figueroa, Scharner.
