    • - Don't forget you can watch highlights of this match, along with every Premier League game, from 00:01 on Monday morning (UK only).
    • 90+5' Full-time! Records fall all over the place as Swansea finally take three points at Loftus Road with their best-ever Premier League result in the process. Two for debutant Michu, two for Dyer and one for Sinclair, which could be his last for the club.
    • 90+4' The corner is cut back to Park, who drives over from 20 yards.
    • 90+3' QPR surge forward one more time in search of some slight token of pride and win a corner.
    • 90+2' Offside against Sinclair as we totter towards the end here.
    • 90+1' Taarabt trips Britton in the middle of the park.
    • 90' Four minutes added on at the end of the match. Fulham has ended 5-0, so Swansea need another goal for that little piece of bragging rights tonight.
    • 89' Johnson is unable to get the better of Williams and Rangel as he looks to chase a raking ball forward.
    • 88' Diakite is replaced by Shaun Derry for the closing stages.
    • 86' Massive turnaround on the possession, with Swansea now 51% in control after being second best in the first half by a big margin.
    • 85' Swansea fans, you may have to share the spotlight today. Fulham go 5-0 up as well courtesy of Sidwell's spot kick.
    • 84' Graham chooses to head for the byline instead of cutting inside and it costs him a golden chance for six.
    • 83' Standing ovation #2 from the away end as their other two-goal hero Michu is the final change of the afternoon for the Swans. Mark Gower is on for seven minutes.
    • 82' As it stands, Swansea are heading to the top of the league table. It means very little on match day one but always adds extra gleam to a big win.
    • 81' SINCLAIR! FIVE! Awful clearance attempt by Onuoha allows Swansea to leisurely advance before the sub picks out the bottom corner from 20 yards. Who has this scoreline in their predictor?
    • 80' Some big scores elsewhere across the board: Fulham also lead Norwich by four to nil while West Brom now have a 3-0 advantage over 10-man Liverpool. West Ham and Stoke remain a goal up while Arsenal-Sunderland is the surprise only goalless 3pm Premier League kick-off.
    • 79' Diakite tries his luck from 25 yards. It's miles off target.
    • 78' Hughes follows up with his own second change, like for like up top as Cisse makes way for Andy Johnson, another debutant.
    • 77' Two-goal Nathan Dyer is replaced by Scott Sinclair, who is expected to leave the club within the next week. Am I wrong in detecting some subtle psychology to that sub by Laudrup?
    • 76' Taarabt again shining the sole Rangers light on this dark afternoon, as a mazy run into the box is blessed by a fortunate deflection and allows him to force a corner before he can shoot from six yards.
    • 75' Taarabt almost picks out Diakite with a decent driven ball in from the left.
    • 74' Home fans are filing out of Loftus Road. The jubilant followers in the away stand chant "You're getting sacked in the morning".
    • 73' Routledge is unable to put Graham through as they look for a fifth.
    • 72' Great lofted ball straight down the middle to meet the run of Dyer, who taps it beyond the luckless Green. Both of these teams lost 4-0 on opening day last season and as it stands, they're a part of one again this time around.
    • 71' Agustien makes an instant impact - he sets up Dyer for his second and Swansea's fourth!
    • 70' It's De Guzman coming off, who has had a decent debut and looks handy with a set play, Kemy Agustien replaces the ex-Villarreal now.
    • 69' Looks like the away side's first change could be upon us...
    • 68' Williams lunges to block a Taarabt low drive moments after Onuoha had to be equally brave to cut out another Swans break.
    • 67' Now Hoilett skies one over the bar from just outside the 'D'.
    • 66' Better from Rangers. Mackie drives one into side netting from the right after a good move down that flank.
    • 65' Swansea are dancing now. Absolutely dancing. Michu and Graham casually move into the Rs danger zone before the latter has a shot well stopped and held by Green.
    • 64' Drastic reaction from Hughes, bringing off Hill for Shaun Wright-Phillips. Could be too late already.
    • 63' Another Swansea break! ANOTHER SWANSEA GOAL! Dyer put clean through to sweep number three past Green!
    • 62' Probert deems the handball a deliberate one and books Rangel. Regardless, the free-kick is cleared.
    • 61' Handball against Rangel as he blocks a Fabio cross.
    • 60' This is the first time that two players have netted twice in their PL debuts on the opening day of the season since 2000 – Alen Boksic (Middlesbrough) and Mario Stanic (Chelsea).
    • 58' Ill-advised slide in by Dyer on Diakite in the centre circle. Game getting scrappy now.
    • 57' Now it's Fabio's turn to enter the book as he upends Britton. The home side cutting a very frustrated figure now.
    • 55' De Guzman's cross is too deep and Green catches. Michu's brace was almost replicated to the minute by Petric's second for Fulham. They lead 3-0 now.
    • 54' Diakite is booked for bringing down Dyer near the right-hand corner of the box.
    • 53' GOAL! Michu has another chance soon after as Swansea break away from a home flag kick and the Spaniard curls a first-time effort majestically beyond Green to cap a slick through pass by Routledge. What a debut!
    • 51' Michu header from a De Guzman cross goes tamely wide.
    • 50' Rangel twice scuppers Hoilett's trickery with solid stand-up defending.
    • 49' Taarabt's delivery again fails to get past the first upright, with fellow number 10 Graham back to head it away.
    • 48' Britton concedes an early QPR corner as the home side keep the pressure on.
    • 47' Penalty shout inside the first minute or so! Great work by Hoilett out on the left before he goes to ground inside the box after a give-and-go with Taarabt. Looked like he was after the penalty decision against Rangel, however, and the referee is not impressed.
    • 46' Second half up and running at Loftus Road.
    • 16:00 QPR had six shots on target to Swansea's two in that first 45. Four of them came from the boot of Taarabt. Can the hosts turn this around or will the Jack Army celebrate their first ever Loftus Road win? Let me know what you think on Twitter @liamhappe
    • 45+2' Best move from Swansea so far comes at the very end of the first period and ends with Dyer's cross from the right being overcooked. There's the whistle and Michael Laudrup's men take a 1-0 lead into the break courtesy of debutant Michu.
    • 45+1' Two minutes added on at the end of the half here. QPR have had 56% of the possession. Petric has doubled Fulham's lead while WBA are ahead at home to Liverpool and West Ham are one up against Aston Villa.
    • 45' Second Swansea corner and a second crossbar rattler! This time goalscorer Michu toe-pokes a chance onto the underside of the woodwork.
    • 44' De Guzman again with the delivery into a crowded box and it goes behind for another corner.
    • 43' Mackie finds himself in a role reversal as he tracks Taylor's overlap. And as the Welshman collects a cross-field pass, he is tripped by the winger. Free-kick just outside the area on the left-hand side.
    • 42' Rangers break and De Guzman takes the yellow in order to put a stop to it.
    • 41' It's the Swan's first corner of the game. Chico header! Off the bar!
    • 40' De Guzman will go for goal with this set piece... excellent looping strike parried superbly around the far post by Green!
    • 39' Routledge is brought down by Diakite. Central free-kick from 30 yards out coming up.
    • 38' Taarabt may have been looking for a team-mate. He may have been shooting at goal. But whatever his tame forward ball was supposed to be from 25 yards, it's easy for Vorm.
    • 37' Despite being a goal down, this is an encouraging start to Mark Hughes' first full season in charge at QPR. Confident possession and some decent creativity.
    • 36' Another near-post delivery, again well protected and hacked away by the visitors.
    • 35' Taylor and Routledge struggle to contend with Mackie, even two-on-one, and concede a free-kick near the right-hand corner flag. The left-back has some choice words for his team-mate in the aftermath, feeling his attempt at covering the flank wasn't up to scratch.
    • 33' Stoke lead at Reading courtesy of new recruit Michael Kightly.
    • 32' Rangers are turning the screw here with Park pulling the strings from the middle, but as of yet no equaliser.
    • 31' Swansea break but Michu fouls as he puts Diakite under pressure as the enforcer gets back to defend.
    • 30' Taarabt enters individual genius mode, skipping past a pair of red shirts before unleashing a wicked drive which Worm does well to block.
    • 28' In all 21 PL seasons we have seen a goal scored within the first 15 minutes of matches on the opening day of the season.
    • 27' Routledge continues to be frustrated as Onuoha muscles him out of possession inside the Rs half.
    • 26' Poor ball from Routledge, harmlessly out for a goal kick. We finally have another goal in the top flight - Duff has put Fulham ahead at home to Norwich.
    • 25' Another fine Fabio cross is this time headed across goal by Cisse. Too fine a glancing cut otherwise it would have troubled Swansea there.
    • 24' Another ball into the Swans danger zone is this time seen and caught by Vorm.
    • 23' The hosts retain possession and a deep delivery from the left by Fabio picks out Hoilett - who lobs the outrushing Vorm with his header only for it to bounce wide!
    • 22' Shouts of handball against Taylor as he puts Mackie's cross from the right behind for our first corner of the game. It's played short before Taarabt's eventual ball in is headed away at the near post.
    • 21' Swansea only lost once last season after taking the lead – a 3-2 home defeat to Norwich on February 11.
    • 20' Hoilett waits just a moment too long to feed Cisse into the area and it's snuffed out as a result.
    • 18' De Guzman's through pass out to the right channel is telegraphed and Diakite intervenes.
    • 17' Swansea are pressing well for possession so far but are unable to keep it for too long. The hosts continue to boss the longer spells.
    • 16' Taarabt and Diakite have successive shots from just outside the box stopped by Rangel and Britton respectively.
    • 15' Another appeal from the away side for the game's first corner. Again, Probert awards the goal kick.
    • 14' First real taste of what Hoilett can offer QPR. He cuts inside from the left and unleashes a 15-yarder which flashes across the far post.
    • 13' Ferdinand volleys clear a ball over the top in search of Graham.
    • 12' Mackie should have done better in fairness but goal notwithstanding, the home side have been on top for the most part thus far.
    • 10' Big chance for a leveller! Williams' sliding clearance smacks off Mackie and falls for the winger with six yards from goal and only Vorm to beat - but it's a fantastic point blank stop from the Dutchman.
    • 9' That was the very first goal of the PL campaign - all other 3pm kick-offs are currently goalless.
    • 8' GOAL! Michu marks his debut with the opener! Hammers the loose ball low into the corner after a good run towards the box by Routledge is stopped by some strong defending. 0-1.
    • 7' Lee Probert is the man in charge today, by the way.
    • 6' Team GB member Neil Taylor is unable to win a corner for his side after embarking on a good overlapping run down the left.
    • 5' Britton does well to cut out a Hoilett cut-back attempt from the right-hand side of the box.
    • 4' Fabio checks Dyer and the visitors take the free-kick short near the half-way line.
    • 3' Taarabt is unable to tee up Cisse. The two exchange a hilariously frustrated shrug-off afterward.
    • 2' Rangers go immediately on the attack and a neat one-touch passage ends with a Fabio cross which is dealt with by the Swans back line.
    • 1' The home side get the first half underway. The new Premier League season is upon us!
    • 15:00 The teams are on the pitch at Loftus Road. QPR in their usual hooped kits, Swansea in their red away strip. We have a minute's applause in memory of Rs legend Alan McDonald prior to kick-off.
    • 14:55 Swansea have never won away at QPR in any competition, losing 10 and drawing nine visits to west London. They have failed to score in five of their last six visits to QPR.
    • 14:50 Still looking for your predictions and comments to splice into today's action. Hit me up on Twitter @liamhappe with your say and I will be publishing throughout.
    • 14:45 Michael Laudrup: “I have read the so-called experts’ opinions ahead of the new season and most of them have tipped us to go down. We all know that the second season in the Premier League is difficult, but we’ll have to show them that they are wrong. We have good players here and a good squad and I think we can do well.”
    • 14:40 Mark Hughes: “Swansea have got some good players. I’m sure the new manager will come in and tweak a few things. They’re a difficult side to come up against, but we played exceptionally well towards the end of last season and beat them 3-0. We’ve set ourselves targets in terms of points and what we want to achieve. Last season was too close for comfort for everybody. We feel that the quality we’ve been able to bring in will make sure we’re not in that position again.”
    • 14:35 Only Hill and Taarabt also featured for the hosts a year ago in their opening day defeat to Bolton. Park confirmed as club captain. Bosingwa's arrival came too late for the right-back to feature today. Scott Sinclair is benched by Laudrup, who brings Michu, Chico and De Guzman into the side on match day one.
    • 14:30 TEAMS - Queens Park Rangers: Green, Fabio, Hill, Ferdinand, Onuoha, Hoilett, Park, Diakite, Mackie, Taarabt, Cisse. Subs: Murphy, Nelsen, Derry, Dyer, Wright-Phillips, Johnson, Zamora. /// Swansea: Vorm, Taylor, Chico, Williams, Britton, Michu, Graham, Dyer, Routledge, de Guzman, Rangel. Subs: Tremmel, Tate, Sinclair, Moore, Agustien, Gower, Richards.
    • 14:25 QPR manager Mark Hughes will not name his new captain until he announces the team for the game. Hughes has a number of candidates to take over from Joey Barton - who is serving a 12-match ban for his dismissal in the final match of last season against Manchester City. They too have an array of newcomers at their disposal: Ji-Sung Park, Samba Diakite, Fabio, Rob Green, Andy Johnson, Ryan Nelsen and recent recruit Jose Bosingwa.
    • 14:20 Plenty of fresh faces could be on display in West London this afternoon: Swans boss Michael Laudrup makes his competitive debut in charge and new signings Michu, Chico Flores, Jonathan de Guzman, Kyle Bartley and Itay Shechter are expected to feature. Scott Sinclair, on the other hand, is doubtful after refusing to sign a new contract.
    • 14:15 Good afternoon and welcome to our LIVE coverage of the 2012-13 Premier League opening day. QPR and Swansea do battle at Loftus Road as two sides who survived their first season up last term look to continue their momentum and consolidate themselves as a top flight entity. I will be publishing YOUR predictions and comments throughout, to have your say follow me on Twitter @liamhappe and tweet over your thoughts.

  15. I was pretty optimistic before the match, considering the recent signings, but after watching the match it looks like we have made little progress. Its not that fact that we lost 5 nil, it was the way that QPR capitulated after the 2nd goal. After the 2nd goal you could almost see it in the players eyes that they had given up. I feel sorry for Fernades and Hughes, you can see they are really trying their best, its the players that are continually letting them down. I hope Hughes gave them a right rollicking afterwards. (no doubt Barton is laughing his #$%$ off !)
