    • - Don't forget you can watch highlights of this match, along with every Premier League game, from 00:01 on Monday morning (UK only).
    • 90' Full-time! it ends goalless at Loftus Road and QPR secure a valuable point against a Spurs side who will lose third place if Chelsea beat Stoke in their 15:00 kick-off. Thanks for joining me.
    • 90+2' Harry points at the corner flag. Who said he wasn't a tactical genius?
    • 90+1' Not too many leaving early here... a minute left for QPR to hold out as Spurs lump it in again...
    • 90' Just two minutes of added time will be played - QPR closing in on a hard-earned point.
    • 89' Taarabt looks for Mackie inside the box, but passer and passee were not on the same wavelength and the ball goes through to Lloris.
    • 88' Now SWP is down after taking on Dawson in a physical challenge and, unsurprisingly, losing. He'll be alright.
    • 87' Mbia is OK and will play on. Honestly, the way he reacted to that collision you'd think he's lost a limb...
    • 86' There's an offside against Mbia who races through and gets taken out by Lloris. The QPR man stays down and appears to be in some pain.
    • 85' Great build-up from QPR as Taarabt plays SWP through... but he kicks the ground when attempting to shoot! Horrible from Wright-Phillips.
    • 84' Bale hits a dipping free-kick that bounces a yard wide of Julio Cesar's goal.
    • 83' Spurs win a free-kick 30 yards out and Bale will have a shot here...
    • 81' Bale gets booed again as he picks up the ball on the right and cheers ring out as his cross is blocked. Still Spurs labour.
    • 80' Tottenham: Gylfi Sigurdsson on for Aaron Lennon.
    • 79' Bale is on the floor after a tangle.... that was neither a foul nor a dive (such a thing is possible) though the QPR fans predictably boo him.
    • 78' Alert from Lloris, who has had almost nothing to do today - the Frenchman races out of his box to intercept a Taarabt pass intended for Wright-Phillips.
    • 77' Bale exchanges passes with Dempsey then tries an ambitous flick that doesn't quite come off.
    • 76' Into the last 15 minutes, and still QPR hold firm. It hasn't made for a great game, but they have defended with great endeavour.
    • 74' Better from Taarabt, who sets Fabio away down the left... he plays the ball in front of goal but there's nobody to aim for in the box.
    • 73' Park tries a nifty Redondo/Berg-style backheel but doesn't achieve the same result.
    • 72' Taarabt wasteful again, aiming a free-kick straight at the one-man wall. This is dreadful.
    • 71' Defoe to Dempsey, to Lennon who runs into the box on the left side... he takes a heavy touch and Julio Cesar claims it.
    • 70' Mbia handballs then reacts angrily to Lee Probert's decision. The ref books him - presumably for dissent. That's his fifth booking of the season, but as we're in a new year that means no suspension.
    • 69' On comes Dempsey, and unsurprisingly he replaces Adebayor.
    • 68' Clint Dempsey is getting ready to come on for Spurs.
    • 67' JUST HAVE A SHOT!!! Now it's Adebayor's time to gild the lilly, preferring to attempt a Zidane-style 'roulette' when he just needs to whack it.
    • 65' Oh Taarabt, you frustrating man. He beats Naughton brilliantly and comes inside from the right, but overelaborates to a factor of about 50 and dribbles back to the point where he first got the ball.
    • 64' Mackie has been all over Naughton all afternoon but the pair seem to be getting on OK - they share a joke with the ball out of play.
    • 63' Walker rises high to head a raking crossfield ball back to Lloris. Tottenham in total control. Or at least they would be if they had scored. It remains goalless.
    • 62' Dembele delivers a corner from the Tottenham left but it's a poor delivery and QPR clear easily.
    • 61' Scott Parker is enegetic and shows great awareness, but his passing is not great - an attempt to find Bale goes awry.
    • 59' Steve Cotterill has been ejected from the QPR dugout because he wasn't on their official list submitted this morning!
    • 58' Dembele loses his footing and wipes out Mbia in the process, which gives QPR some respite.
    • 56' Mbia's cross is blocked and QPR have a throw deep inside Spurs territory. This is a bit more like it.
    • 55' QPR are pinned back inside their own half here - it could be a real struggle for them if this keeps up.
    • 54' More from Infostrada: 'Tottenham have scored in each of their last 12 PL away matches. If they score today they it will set a new PL club record for netting in successive away matches and be their longest since a 16-match streak in 1984-85.'
    • 53' Defoe!! He gets half a yard and hits a shot from the edge of the box that Julio Cesar saves with his feet! Good tstart to the second half for the visitors. Not sure if that shot took a deflection because it was an odd save.
    • 52' Walker!! He hits a wickedly bending free-kick that flashes just over!
    • 51' Lennon goes down just inside the box - there's a penalty shout but in fact the winger appeared to trip himself up.
    • 50' Bale chases a through ball but cannot keep it in.
    • 49' Bale tries a through ball to Adebayor but cannot find the striker.
    • 48' Bale does indeed hit it, but straight at Julio Cesar who makes a mess of the save, spilling the ball and claiming the rebound before Parker got to it.
    • 47' Defoe is fouled 22 yards from goal to the right of centre. Surely ripe for a Gareth Bale effort.
    • 46' Second hald under way. No more personnel changes, though Spurs brought on Scott Parker for the injured Sandro in the first half.
    • 46' That's half-time, and it's been pretty turgid stuff apart from that brilliant Julio Cesar save early on.
    • 45+3' Taarabt loses possession for the umpteenth time and beats the turf with his fist.
    • 45+2' I need a cuppa. Come on ref, blow up.
    • 45+1' Three minutes of stoppage time being played, mainly due to the Sandro injury.
    • 45' Wright-Phillips beats Walker and races towards the edge of the box from the left... but he drags his shot badly wide. A real chance goes begging.
    • 44' Says Rory Smith of The Times: "This really isn't a very good football match." Yep.
    • 43' Mackie loses possession in a dangerous position and Lennon darts into the box - looks like he may have been tripped just outside the area, but referee Probert waves play on.
    • 42' From Infostrada: 'QPR have scored six first half PL goals this season – less than any other club. Only two of these have come at Loftus Road.'
    • 41' Defoe gathers in the QPR box then tries to turn back towards his support but he stumbles and the home side get it away.
    • 40' Poor delivery from Taarabt, who hits the free-kick too low and makes it easy for Spurs to clear.
    • 39' Dembele trips Mackie as he runs inside from the right - it's the game's first yellow card and an interesting free-kick for QPR.
    • 38' Parker in towards Defoe at the edge of the box... there's a foot in but the ball nearly spins to Adebayor. He cannot make anything of it, either.
    • 37' Nothing to see here - just watch this instead: Vinnie Jones on US TV show 'Elementary'
    • 35' Dawson tries his luck from long range, but his shot is exactly as close to going in as you'd imagine.
    • 34' Panic stations for QPR as Bale surges down the left with defenders out of position... but he biffs a poor corss out for a throw on the opposite flank.
    • 33' Spurs have a free-kick maybe 45 yards out and Bale looks like the might shoot before clipping it into the box towards Dawson, who falls as the ball comes in... no penalty appeal from the Tottenham captain.
    • 32' A big chorus of 'Come on you Rs' rings out as Spurs continue to fizz the ball among themselves.
    • 31' Mbia exhanges passes with Taarabt before finding Mackie on the right... but he is a little isolated and the best he can do is win a throw off the defender.
    • 29' Fabio neutralises the threat of Lennon then receives the ball back off Julio Cesar and tries to start an attack... but the ball is soon back with Spurs.
    • 28' After a lively start, this game has lost its way a little. Come on somebody, do something...
    • 27' Taarabt overelaborates as he tries to take on a defender close to the left byline, and the ball goes out for a goal kick.
    • 26' Walker dispossesses SWP then cannons his clearance into the mini-winger and the ball goes out for a throw.
    • 25' Scott Parker replaces the injured Sandro.
    • 23' It looks like Sandro is going to have to go off - the physio and Adebayor are helping him off the pitch. Scott Parker getting ready to come on.
    • 22' Sandro needs treatment after blazing a long shot over. Did he twist something in the follow-through?
    • 21' Taarabt feels he is being fouled by Naughton and appeals to referee Probert, but his pleas fall on deaf ears.
    • 20' Mbia sprints in prusuit of a through ball and nearly catches Dawson on his heels, but the Spurs defender manages just to get there first.
    • 19' Spurs have enjoyed 63 per cent possession so far, and that's not a surprising stat.
    • 18' Taarabt runs at Spurs but loses out again. In fairness he didn't have too many options and Spurs were back in decent numbers.
    • 17' A stat from Infostrada: "Jermain Defoe has 27 career London derby goals – the fifth-most of all-time and only one behind Ian Wright (28) and Frank Lampard (28). The record is 43 goals by Thierry Henry."
    • 16' Adebayor gives the ball away to Taarabt, who works an opening for himself and hits an ultra-ambitious shot from 35 yards. Lloris saves easily. Not exactly searching his team-mates out there, was Taarabt.
    • 14' Another decent move from QPR as Mackie works it to Taarabt, but the Moroccan lingers on the ball and loses possession.
    • 13' The corner is cleared to the edge of the box where Park plays it square to an off-balance SWP who slashes his shot high and wide.
    • 12' Taarabt's cross goes out for a corner and the crowd are starting to find their voice.
    • 11' Wright-Phillips! Taarabt slides him in with a lovely ball, SWP manages to get the ball out from under his feet and his shot goes behind for a corner via a deflection off Dawson.
    • 10' Mbia coems forward on the break and Spurs are rattled here - but Mbia plays a crossfield ball to nobody at all. Not a hooped shirt within 40 yards of that and Lloris comes out of his box to collect it.
    • 9' Mackie chases another ball down the right. He's a real handful, but this time Vertonghen shepherds the ball out for a Tottenham throw.
    • 8' Mackie leaves a trail of destruction in his wake as he flies into two challenges and Naughton and Dembele end up on the deck.
    • 7' Spurs really dominating the early stages. All QPR can do it try to soak up the pressure. But they've got a job on their hands.
    • 6' Wow, Spurs were inches from going in front there. Cesar did superbly to recover after diving to push the first shot onto the post and denied Adebayor who struck his sidefoot effort from 10 yards. Amazing double stop.
    • 5' So close Tottenham! Defoe cuts inside from the left and hits a powerful dipping shot that clangs back off the post and falls to Adebayor, who brings a sensational save from Julio Cesar!
    • 4' Today's ref, incidentally, is Lee Probert.
    • 4' A chorus of boos greets Gareth Bale's first touches. He finds Sandro who has a shot, but the whistle has gone for a QPR free-kick.
    • 3' The free-kick comes to nothing and Spurs stroke the ball around in the middle third.
    • 2' Dembele is penalised for the first foul of the game, and Taarabt will deliver the free-kick into the box from the right...
    • 1' And away we go! QPR are playing from right to left as we see it in their blue and white hoops. Spurs in their away strip, which comprises black and grey halves.
    • 12:45 This just in from OptaJoe: 14/5 - "Spurs have scored first in 14 PL games this season (PL-high), while QPR have netted the opener in just five games (PL-low). Gamble."
    • 12:43 Zac Micallef @zac_mic chips in with a prediction: "Spurs team has just too much quality - tho 'arry's teams are always unpredictable. I say 3-2 to spurs!" I wouldn't be at all surprised if QPR took something from this. It's just got that sort of feel about it. Although of course you're right - Spurs are the far better side.
    • 12:42 Simon Crowther @dinghy911 asks: "Why is Adebayor starting ahead of Dempsey, Any particular reason?" AVB has been surprisingly fond of 4-4-2 this season, and it's far from the first time Defoe and Adebayor have started today. I guess he wants to put QPR's doughty but aged centre-backs under as much pressure as possible. Also - and I say this more through gut feeling than anything - I'm not convinced Dempsey is actually that good.
    • 12:40 Ryan Nelsen starts for QPR today despite the fact he was appointed head coach of MLS side Toronto FC this week. Nelsen takes Toronto job
    • 12:35 Time to say a quick hello - my name's Alex Chick, and I'll be live commenting this game. You can get in touch with me on Twitter and I'll try to be as reactive as possible and post the best comments here. But, you know, I'm also doing this. - @alexchick81 Alex Chick on Twitter
    • 12:30 Spurs find themselves third in the table after a belting December. They're 13 points off the top of the table, but a top-four finish would represent a fine first campaign for AVB.
    • 12:25 Meanwhile at Loftus Road, former Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cotterill has joined the coaching staff. Wild times. Ex-Forest boss Cotterill joins QPR staff
    • 12:20 Speak of managers that nobody has a problem with, QPR's Stephane Mbia has blamed the players for Mark Hughes's sacking: "I think if the players had the same mentality under Mark Hughes they have now, we would not be in this position ... But the players didn't want to give their best for Mark Hughes. I don't know why it's like that. We should have done the same when the previous manager was here. Maybe they are more afraid of Harry." Erm, isn't that Hughes's fault, then? Mbia: Blame players for Hughes demise
    • 12:15 Sounds a lot like he's got a problem with him, doesn't it?
    • 12:15 Harry Redknapp on AVB: "I don't have a relationship with Villas-Boas, but then I don't have a relationship with any other manager in the Premier League. I don't socialise with him, he's gone to Tottenham and done a great job. What's the problem? I've got no problem with him at all. Good luck to him, he's doing a fantastic job there. Long may it continue for him. I'll shake his hand after the game and invite him in for a drink, whatever the result. I don't have any problems with him."
    • 12:10 And it's seven changes for Spurs following their FA Cup win against Coventry City. The only players to keep their places are Dawson, Naughton, Bale and Adebayor.
    • 12:05 QPR make four changes from the side that drew 1-1 with West Brom in the FA Cup last weekend - in come Onuoha, Fabio, Derry and Wright-Phillips, out go Ben Haim, Granero, Campbell and Kieron Dyer. who has also been released this week.
    • 12:00 QPR: Cesar, Hill, Onuoha, Nelsen, Fabio, Mbia, Park, Derry, Taarabt, Wright-Phillips, Mackie... Subs: Green, Ferdinand, Cisse, Ben Haim, Faurlin, Bothroyd, Campbell. // TOTTENHAM: Lloris, Walker, Vertonghen, Dawson, Naughton, Sandro, Dembele, Lennon, Bale, Adebayor, Defoe... Subs: Friedel, Caulker, Assou-Ekotto, Parker, Huddlestone, Sigurdsson, Dempsey.
    • 11:55 Welcome to LIVE coverage of the weekend's opening Premier League fixture as QPR take on Tottenham Hotspur at Loftus Road.
  • Summary

    • 85' Great build-up from QPR as Taarabt plays SWP through... but he kicks the ground when attempting to shoot! Horrible from Wright-Phillips.
    • 67' JUST HAVE A SHOT!!! Now it's Adebayor's time to gild the lilly, preferring to attempt a Zidane-style 'roulette' when he just needs to whack it.
