    • 90+6' It's over! Southampton have defeated Chelsea 2-1 at St Mary's. Great result but an excellent performance against a Chelsea side perhaps with too much focus on Monday.
    • 90+5' Cork tries to bear down on goal from an angle but is too slow controlling it and Chelsea get it back. We're getting extra stoppage time here...
    • 90+4' Now Ward-Prowse gets into a bit of handbags with Ramires after Saints win a free-kick just inside the Chelsea half. He's been an inspired sub, nipping at the Blues' heels in every sense.
    • 90+3' Ward-Prowse tries a one-man surge forward but hangs onto the ball for too long.
    • 90+2' It bobbles dangerously close to the far post but goes out for a goal kick.
    • 90+1' Free-kick Chelsea on the right wing. Everyone congregates inside the Saints box barring Cech and Hazard, who will take it.
    • 90' FOUR minutes of added time.
    • 89' Good defending by Ivanovic prevents Shaw from taking the ball to the corner and potentially trying to create a third.
    • 88' Final Southampton change sees Danny Fox on for Steven Davis. Two more minutes.
    • 87' Schneiderlin booked for a foul on Hazard and Lampard has a free-kick just outside the 'D'.... but it's inches over.
    • 86' @AustinGrizzem isn't content with a one-goal win: " 3-1 saints, with Lambert to get the third! #COYR" - follow me @liamhappe and tweet over your comments for publishing!
    • 85' Final five minutes. All the 3pm Premier League climaxes at once, here: Live Premier League Scores | Results Yahoo! Eurosport UK
    • 84' Shaw wins a tight battle on the byline with Moses, which with the Nigerian being Chelsea's best attacking threat so far today, gets a big pop from the home stands. They can see the finish line in the distance.
    • 83' Lambert booked for kicking the ball away. Is it really wise for a side who have played the better football to start the cynical tactics so late on?
    • 82' Goalmouth scramble in the Saints area.... but they get it away!
    • 80' The hosts give away possession cheaply in the centre circle but when Lampard goes cross field to send Moses through, Clyne recovers magnificently to end the threat.
    • 78' @thankgodtanwa says "i think chelsea will try to gut out with Saints, Southampton 3-2 Chelsea" - get your late predictions in via @liamhappe
    • 77' First climpse of what Hazard can do as he skips into space on the right only to get carried away with the low ball which whizzes past the goalmouth.
    • 76' Now for Rafa's final move. Chelsea replace the wasteful Oscar with Yossi Benayoun.
    • 75' It's Official Torres-Has-Had-Enough-Of-This-One time, as he needlessly goes right into Yoshida on an aerial challenge. Didn't even look for the ball and he's booked.
    • 74' Clyne, the man of the match so far, races to the right-hand byline once more but his cut-back is unable to pick out a red shirt.
    • 73' Ramires comes on for Mikel in Chelsea's second change.
    • 72' Chelsea come forward but give the ball away easily. The Saints counter and Schneiderlin puts Ward-Prowse through. Rather than go for a low finish, he selflessly squares for the run of Lambert but it's intercepted.
    • 71' The home side enjoyed 60% of second half possession. They're not clinging on for dear life at all.
    • 70' This one is nodded off-target by Hooiveld.
    • 69' Shaw, who has been relatively quiet today but only relatively so, wins his side a corner.
    • 68' Moses dazzles his way into the box but Yoshida powers him, legally, off the ball. Penalty shouts go nowhere.
    • 66' Terry has yet to stop staring through his Brazilian colleague after that...
    • 65' Chelsea zip upfield and win another corner of their own but the short routine leads to Oscar wasting the attack with a poor delivery.
    • 64' Davis's delivery finds Rodriguez at the near post but his header is well over.
    • 63' Terry messes up a back-header to Cech and it's another Saints corner.
    • 62' Saints follow up with their first tactical change with James Ward-Prowse on for Puncheon. Looks like they will try to tighten the flow of the game up to see this result out. They only have one more switch left thanks to the enforced keeper swap at the break.
    • 60' First Chelsea change sees Marin, who has made minimal impact on the game outside of his corner for Terry's goal, make way for Eden Hazard.
    • 59' More JT hiliarity: he slips while standing up the approaching Puncheon and takes the winger's knee to the head. He then scrambles up and slips again, this time catching the leg of Cork who takes the ball and fires over from 25.
    • 58' Ball into the box finds Moses, whose scuffed effort almost loops perfectly over Davis but the keeper gets a hand to push it onto the crossbar and over for a corner!
    • 57' Bit of a funny moment as Terry clings onto Lambert as the two lie on the floor after a decision against the defender.
    • 55' Remember, you can keep an eye on all of the other scores in the top flight with our LIVE multiplex: Live Premier League Scores | Results Yahoo! Eurosport UK
    • 54' Clyne-Rodriguez one-two catches out the lack of pace from Terry and Ivanovic, but Clyne puts a little too much on the cross.
    • 53' Lampard picks out Marin on the left in plenty of space but the German's low cross lacks penetration.
    • 52' They clear the corner but Chelsea pump the ball in again where it falls to Lampard at point blank range... Davis saves with his legs! The offside flag was up anyway but a great way to warm into the game for the keeper.
    • 51' Moses wins another corner for the away side. Southampton will not want lightning to strike twice here.
    • 50' Marin feeds Bertrand on the overlap but the full-back's cross is terrible and cleared with ease.
    • 49' Some optimism from Chelsea followers on Twitter: Ankit Rathi has a great stat: "#Chelsea have only lost 5 out of 51 games when John Terry has scored. #Hope #CFC" while @sesai64 says "Chelsea gunna come back" - any Southampton fans want to get involved? Hit me up @liamhappe
    • 48' Already a bright start from Saints as another short-passing advance leads to a six-yard-box Chelsea clearance before Clyne wins a corner with a cross-cum-shot pushed around the post by Cech after great hold-up play in the corner from Lambert.
    • 47' Artur Boruc has an unspecified injury and on comes Kelvin Davis to try and keep Chelsea out and retain this lead.
    • 46' Southampton kick off the second half. There has been a change at half-time but it's not from Chelsea...
    • - Will Chelsea step it up in the second half or is a big result on the cards? What do you make of Southampton's performance so far? How about Chelsea's? Let me know via Twitter @liamhappe
    • 45+2' And there is half-time. Southampton deservedly lead 2-1 thanks to classy goals from Rodriguez and Lambert. Terry heading Chelsea level for little over a minute between them.
    • 45+1' Chelsea's subs are putting in a particularly-thorough warm-up for the end of the first period. Expect a change or two at the break.
    • 45' Two minutes added on to the first half.
    • 44' Terry heads away the corner as well as Davis's second delivery in.
    • 43' No wonder Clyne is on Chelsea's shopping list. He once again dances past Bertrand and wins his side another corner.
    • 42' This has been a great first half performance from the home side. If they can keep this up and tighten up on set pieces, they won't even have to cling on to this result.
    • 41' Now Cech parries another Rodriguez effort, though Lambert was offside beforehand anyway.
    • 40' Clyne sends a decent ball in looking for Lambert but it ends up being too deep and within Cech's range to make the catch.
    • 38' Saints fans now busting out the Ole! chants for each successful pass. Followed by boos when the offside flag ends the passage.
    • 37' Bertrand is then able to keep out a possible corner. Just.
    • 36' Rodriguez has a speculative effort closed down as the hosts hunt for 3-1 straight away. They have risen to the occasion so far, defending for Terry's goal notwithstanding.
    • 35' GOAL SOUTHAMPTON! That's how you make up for bad set piece defending - you score an even better set play! Lambert curls home a wonderful free-kick to restore Saints' lead after just 80 seconds of parity. 2-1!
    • 34' Saints move forward from kick-off and win a 30-yard free-kick.
    • 33' GOAL CHELSEA! After playing so well for half an hour Southampton concede a very cheap equaliser as Terry has acres of space to nod Marin's corner into the ground and beyond Boruc into the corner. 1-1!
    • 32' Moses is able to win his side a corner soon after, though.
    • 30' Moses is the brightest of those three forwards thus far but a move down the right ends up in retreat due to two red shirts granting him zero time or space.
    • 28' The visitors are sorely lacking the authority of Ramires in the middle and Luiz's ability to bound forward in possession rather than just hoof a bunch of diagonals. And there's been little from Moses, Oscar or Marin thus far to justify starting ahead of Hazard on a regular basis.
    • 27' Bertrand caught offside by a country mile as Chelsea begin to rely more and more on dinked balls over the top to get attacks revving.
    • 26' Replays show it wasn't so much the arm making contact with Jos as it was the ball. Handball by Torres preventing a possible leveller.
    • 25' Torres has the ball in the Saints net two minutes after going behind but is adjudged to have pushed away the challenge of Hooiveld before netting. The whistle went almost immediately.
    • 24' So all results going against Chelsea now.
    • 23' GOAL SOUTHAMPTON! Spoke too soon on the game hushing down as said Saints possession sees them walk the ball into the box where Rodriguez gives-and-goes with Davis before slotting the opener across Cech. 1-0!
    • 21' Just starting to quiet down now, especially from the Southampton standpoint though possession remains simple and effective.
    • 20' Arsenal are 1-0 up at present and Tottenham have just doubled their lead against Swansea. Not the sort of tidbits you want filtering through to the fans/players if you're Rafa Benitez.
    • 18' Again it's cleared. Not much danger created from five early corners at both ends, let alone an actual shot on target.
    • 17' Again it's hacked away but this time Saints sustain possession inside the Chelsea half and win a third corner kick.
    • 16' Bertrand slides in on Puncheon on the right, and red Martin Atkinson rules it came off the left-back last. Another corner coming up.
    • 15' @JordanTeong thinks the Saints' bright early start will fade: "Chelsea will win 3-0.Torres will score.Lampard too" - want to have your opinions heard? Follow @liamhappe and tweet them over!
    • 14' Puncheon to send it in. Terry heads clear.
    • 12' Now Clyne surges to the right-hand byline only to see his cut-back blocked. Had it not been, it would have been 1-0 for sure. Lambert on the follow-up wins a corner.
    • 11' Puncheon almost breaks through a crowd of three Blues defenders but ends up knocking it ahead of himself as he reaches the danger zone, allowing Cech to snatch the ball.
    • 10' This one's away as well, this time Marin with the delivery which fails to beat the first man at near post.
    • 9' Torres, wearing a Zorro-like protective mask thanks to a broken nose sustained in the Europa League, wins Chelsea a second flag kick.
    • 8' Puncheon gets loose at the opposite end but his low cross from the left is just a little too fierce for Lambert to control.
    • 7' It's a poor delivery, however, and the follow-up ball in is even worse. Boruc claims without fuss.
    • 6' Oscar wins the away side a corner after good work from Moses to create space on the wing and feed the Brazilian with a short pass.
    • 5' Moses overhits a cross from the right after a good stride forward from Azpilicueta.
    • 4' Saints having some early fun putting pressure on their guests, but Chelsea look perfectly happy to play out the opening stages this way.

    • 14:40 Chelsea are unbeaten in their last seven Premier League games against Southampton (W4 D3), and Frank Lampard has scored four goals in his last four Premier League appearances against Southampton.
    • 14:35 Rafael Benitez: "The most difficult one will be these two games (coming up) because they are so close. It is better to have this problem than be at home watching it on the telly because it means you are still competing. We have to ensure we have a competitive team against Southampton and a competitive team against United. We have to manage the squad carefully."
    • 14:30 Mauricio Pochettino: “I have played against Torres many times and he scored some goals against me. I remember him being a quality player, full of strength and a player who knew which spaces to run into to create chances. Sometimes it happens where a player is comfortable and feels happy at a certain club as he was at Atletico and at Liverpool. But when you leave that club and join a new team maybe you do not feel as comfortable and as happy and that can affect your performances."
