    • - Remember, you can watch highlights of this match and all the weekend's Premier League games live on site from Monday (00:01).
    • 90+6' FULL TIME. Stoke almost certainly safe as they move onto 40 points thanks to Adam's goal just a minute after the restart. Not a classic, but it's all about the result for Stoke.
    • 90+4' Walters gets a late booking for time-wasting.
    • 90+3' A long throw for Norwich and Kamara gets his head to the ball, but Begovic sees it over the bar.
    • 90+2' Just a minute or so for Stoke to hold out now. Looks like they will manage it.
    • 90+1' We will have four added minutes.
    • 90' Johnson goes into the book.
    • 89' Pulis is still swearing his head off and trouble erupts on the pitch - not sure why at first glance.
    • 88' A hard-fought win would put Stoke in 12th place and open up a six-point gap between the Potters and the relegation zone - an advantage that would surely be sufficient to keep them in the top flight.
    • 86' Anthony Pilkington comes on for Norwich defender Bassong, who has sustained a knock.
    • 85' CHANCE FOR STOKE! Nzonzi rifles one in from 20 yards and Crouch makes a horrid mess of the loose ball as he shoots wide. The offside flag is raised though.
    • 83' Stat from Opta: "Six of Stoke’s last eight Premier League games have gone under 2.5 goals."
    • 81' The ref has a word with both Huth and Holt after they get involved in a silly altercation. Holt has hold of the German's jersey for some reason.
    • 80' Adam blasts a shot well off target from 25 yards out as Stoke look for a killer second.
    • 79' Jerome comes off after a good performance to be replaced by Matthew Etherington.
    • 78' Excellent defending from Shawcross as he extends one of his long legs to intercept a cross.
    • 77' Rubbish from Elliott Bennett as Norwich take a free-kick short, he cuts in from the right and dribbles a shot well wide.
    • 76' Jerome ruins a nice bit of skill when following up with a bit of a dive.
    • 75' Norwich make a change as Elliott Bennett comes on for Snodgrass, who hasn't been his usual dangerous self.
    • 74' More fine goalkeeping from Begovic as he plucks another cross out of the air. His command of the box is very impressive.
    • 72' Sat from Infostrada: "Norwich have only won one of the previous 15 PL matches this season when they’ve conceded the opening goal."
    • 71' Tony Pulis is doing his nut on the touchline after Snodgrass throws himself to floor under minimal contact from Huth.
    • 69' CHANCE FOR STOKE! Nzonzi gets in to the right of the box but he has to deliver a low cross and instead tries to shoot, punching his shot well wide.
    • 68' Change for Norwich as Tettey is replaced by Wes Hoolahan, who at least should add some guile in forward areas for Norwich.
    • 67' Begovic does well to pluck a dangerous cross out of the air with men arriving at the back post.
    • 66' Whelan succumbs to that earlier injury and Dean Whitehead is on in his place.
    • 65' Tettey holds off a charge from Jerome to put the ball out for a throw. Good defending.
    • 64' Stoke mount another attack and Jerome shanks one high into the upper tier. Not the best effort you will see.
    • 63' WHAT A MISS! Stoke hit on the counter and Jerome hits the byline before delivering a bouncing cross to the back post, where Crouch only has to tap home. Incredibly he misses it.
    • 63' Looks like Wilkinson has pulled a muscle and he hobbles down the tunnel for treatment.
    • 62' Stoke make a change as right-back Andy Wilkinson has sustained a knock and Geoff Cameron is on in his place.
    • 60' Norwich continue to struggle to create chances - they really have had little joy in the final third.
    • 58' Jerome is the target for Adam's delivery but Bunn claims the ball confidently in the air.
    • 57' Rather a pointless foul from Johnson on Adam there and Stoke have a free-kick in a decent area on the right.
    • 56' Whelan hobbles back onto the pitch but he doesn't look right.
    • 55' Glenn Whelan appears to have sustained a knock for Stoke. No change just yet though.
    • 54' Stoke flash a cross into the box and it fizzes past the far post with no one on hand to knock it in.
    • 53' A decent start to the second half from Stoke here. They have looked far more lively.
    • 51' Stat from Opta: "Jonathan Walters has featured in each of Stoke’s last 88 Premier League games, the longest current run by an outfielder."
    • 50' If Wigan win today then the loser of this game will be feeling ever less secure in their league position. And, would you believe, Wigan have just gone 2-1 up at home to Spurs. Follow every game live
    • 48' Here come Norwich again and now Adam turns in midfield, exchange passes with Crouch and fires a scuffed effort wide of the far post. He wants a corner for a deflection off the defender but doesn't get it.
    • 46' GOAL! Stoke 1-0 Norwich! Charlie Adam nets within 60 seconds of the restart! Crouch heads on a long ball from the back and as Jerome holds off Bassong, Adam steals in to rifle a low shot home.
    • 46' KICK OFF!
    • 45+2' HALF TIME. Few chances but plenty of dodgy challenges. Exactly what you would have expected.
    • 45+1' Another foul as Holt pushes Andy Wilkinson to the ground.
    • 45' We will have two added minutes.
    • 44' Not the greatest game here in truth. A smattering of chances at best.
    • 43' A corner for Stoke but Norwich manage to clear their lines.
    • 41' Tettey requires treatment but should be okay to continue.
    • 40' Now it's Crouch's turn to get a silly booking as he raises his studs to the sliding Alexander Tettey.
    • 39' That truly was inexplicable.
    • 38' An idiotic booking for Holt. The striker clatters into Huth from behind right by the byline. What on earth was he up to?
    • 36' Adam supplies a dangerous cross from the right but Ryan Bennett is alert to the danger and heads away for Norwich.
    • 35' Walters appears to be caught in two minds and a cross-shot becomes neither.
    • 33' Stat from Opta: "This game pits together the two teams to have won the fewest Premier League games in 2013 (two apiece)."
    • 32' Snodgrass whips in a cross from the left and it deflects off Ryan Shotton before forcing Begovic into snatching the ball before it sneaks over the line.
    • 31' Jerome rightly goes into the book for a high boot.
    • 30' Jerome races through to challenge Bunn for the ball and clatters into the keeper. The forward raises his boot high just as the keeper gets both hands to it.
    • 29' Just before Kamara's shot, Shawcross appeared to catch the ball with his arm when leaping into the air. It wouldn't have been the most outrageous penalty appeal.
    • 28' Corner after corner after corner in this game. More hockey than football. Norwich have two cleared by Stoke, though the second is cleared only to Kamara who lashes the loose ball over the bar.
    • 27' The midfielder launched himself through the air and wrapped himself around Kamara's trailing leg. Not very smart.
    • 26' Nzonzi goes into the book for scything down Kamara with a brutal tackle. Could have been a red too.
    • 25' And here's another corner. Robert Huth rises above Kamara but can't keep his header down.
    • 24' Stat from Opta: "No ground has seen more goals from corners than the Britannia Stadium this season (10)."
    • 23' That was rather bizarre as Nzonzi appeared to block the ball with his arm. He had his head in his hands after doing so, and no surprise.
    • 22' CHANCE FOR STOKE! Jerome peels off his man at the back post to meet a corner from the right flank but his cushioned instep volley comes off his own man, Steven Nzonzi, to prevent it going over the line.
    • 21' Cameron Jerome puts Ryan Bennett under pressure but Whittaker comes across to join in and helps Norwich take the ball away.
    • 19' Walters appears to be struggling with a foot problem and Tony Pulis will have to monitor him carefully.
    • 18' Well, few would have picked this game out as a potential classic, and it's been a bit grim so far.
    • 17' Jonny Howson produces a neat backheel in midfield but in fact the ball fails to roll to a team-mate as Stoke regain possession.
    • 15' Another high ball into the box attempts to find Crouch but he can't trouble Mark Bunn when attempting to flick the ball on.
    • 14' Stat from Opta: "Stoke have not won consecutive Premier League games since December 1st."
    • 12' Stoke pump the free-kick long into their box - as they love to do - but can't pick out a friendly shirt.
    • 11' Steven Whittaker catches Adam late in midfield - two former Rangers colleagues of course. No booking though.
    • 10' An encouraging start this from Norwich. Chris Hughton's men are playing with impressive energy.
    • 9' CHANCE FOR NORWICH! More pressure from the visitors as Grant Holt heads down a cross from the left, Kei Kamara lays it off neatly and Bradley Johnson puts it over.
    • 7' CHANCE FOR NORWICH! Russell Martin whips a dangerous cross into the box and Snodgrass is well placed to meet it with a header. However, under pressure, he only succeeds in nodding it over the bar.
    • 6' The ball is floated into the box but Jon Walters can't get a clean shot away when it bounces up for him in the box.
    • 5' Bradley Johnson with a clumsy challenge on Adam to give away a free-kick at the near touchline.
    • 4' Charlie Adam is the man tasked with taking the set-piece but his curling effort flies over the bar.
    • 3' Sebastien Bassong brings Peter Crouch to ground 30 yards from goal and Stoke line up the set-piece for a shot.
    • 2' We go up the other end and it's Norwich's turn for a corner when Asmir Begovic fails to prevent a dodgy header back from going out. Robert Snodgrass's delivery is poor though.
    • 1' An early corner for Stoke - that's their MO - but Ryan Shawcross can't hit the target with a header.
    • 1' KICK OFF!
    • 14:55 Here come the players, and we are almost good to go.
    • 14:50 Stoke have 37 points and Norwich 38 - one more win should make these teams safe after both won last weekend. Premier League table
    • 14:45 A dreadful Joe Hart error marred Manchester City's 2-1 win over West Ham in the early kick-off. Manchester City v West Ham United
    • 14:40 If you're expecting thrills from this one... here's a stat from Opta for you: 'Four of the last six matches between Stoke and Norwich have ended with a 1-0 scoreline with the others being a 1-1 draw and a 2-1 win for Stoke.'
    • 14:35 Norwich's Ryan Bennett got in trouble this week for some ill-advised comments on Twitter. Here's his manager Chris Hughton's view: "It is an issue which is being dealt with by the FA but it's a reminder to those who decide to go on Twitter that when somebody like Ryan Bennett, who is a smashing lad, can have a charge pending then it can happen to anybody. If there needs to be a warning to anybody then it's there."
    • 14:30 Tony Pulis on rumours he will leave Stoke: "If I was going to walk away then I would have told the chairman by now, and I certainly didn't mention anything about walking away. This football club has been absolutely fantastic to me. The Coates family are wonderful, wonderful people to work for."
    • 14:25 Peter Crouch gets a start for Stoke, coming in at the expense of Kenwyne Jones. There's no Michael Turner for Norwich - he has a groin injury.
    • 14:20 TEAMS - STOKE: Begovic, Shotton, Shawcross, Huth, Wilkinson, Jerome, Whelan, Nzonzi, Adam, Walters, Crouch... Subs: Sorensen, Cameron, Jones, Owen, Whitehead, Kightly, Etherington. // NORWICH: Bunn, Martin, Whittaker, Johnson, Bassong, Snodgrass, Howson, Holt, Kamara, R. Bennett, Tettey... Subs: Camp, Pilkington, Hoolahan, E Bennett, Garrido, Becchio, Barnett.

  1. Why did Hughton bring Barnett back from Cardiff just to put him on the bench and not play him? We are fragile at the back and needed a bit more beef on the pitch against a hard working Stoke side. Barnett also likes to get up and have a pop at goal now and again. He had a fantastic effect on Cardiff and was solid in defence for them. To not play such an assett is not just odd, it is peverse. Can another Canary answer please?

  2. Thank God for Charlie Adam !! , looks like were going to be safe now thanks to him , hopefully Stoke can rebuild over the summer and bring back some pride and passion that has been badly lacking .. teams have us "sussed" now and its time to bring some quality in ... we should build a team around Adam in my opinion get him playing something like his Blackpool best then we may have a chance next season , oh and i hope that dim-wit in charge (Tony Clueless) finally decides to put the " Managing a Premier League Club for Dummy`s" book back on the shelf and retire upstairs or something , thanks for what you have done Tone etc but its time to move on now .. i hear Roberto Di Matteo is out of work ? ...just a thought :-)
