    • 90+4 West Ham are wasting the time pretty well.
    • 90+3 Five added minutes.
    • 90+2 Late claim for a penalty from Stoke - the ball comes off the hand of Demel but the referee waves play on.
    • 90' West Ham manage to push the hosts back and O'Neil wins an important challenge down the left. The hosts work the ball in field and Adam finds himself in space but his volley beats Jaaskelainen only to come back off the crossbar.
    • 89' Wilson strides forward but his shot is always rising.
    • 88' Stoke pumping the ball long here but West Ham remain stout. Collins has been superb and he heads clear.
    • 86' Stoke really amping up the pressure here.
    • 84' Stoke break with Wilkinson and Adam but the latter’s attempted cross is wayward as it drops over the crossbar.
    • 82' Pogatetz for Jarvis – which is probably a decision born out of Pulis’s substitutions.
    • 81' Reid is down following a stray hand from Jones but there doesn't look to be much wrong with him as the crowd show their displeasure at the referee's decision to stop play.
    • 80' Instead of shooting, he lofts it into the box but West Ham scramble it clear.
    • 79' Reid fouls Crouch some thirty yards out from goal. Adam over it.
    • 78' Lightening break from West Ham. Vaz Te finds Collison whose shot is blocked but the goalscorer manages to stab the rebound to Vaz Te but he comes back inside Begovic and into to trouble allowing Nzonzi to clear.
    • 76' That’s a pretty menacing front four from Stoke – Jones, Crouch, Jerome and Shea. Adam now comes on to supply the ball as he replaces Whelan.
    • 75' Jones on for Walters.
    • 74' Walters gets to a ball before Jaaskelainen down the left-hand side of the West Ham box as the keeper does well to put the breaks on. The hosts can’t get the ball back out of the corner though and the move comes to an end.
    • 73' Big Kenwyne Jones limbering up on the sidelines.
    • 72' Walters has gone up front with Jerome on the right and Shea left as Pulis looks to get something from this.
    • 70' Wilkinson with a rather late challenge on Carroll but the big forward is reprimanded for his reaction – yellow card.
    • 68' The former Dallas man is straight into the thick of things and clears for a throw.
    • 67' Kightly is off with Shea on in his stead – he is a big lad for a winger, will be interesting to see how mobile he is.
    • 66' Collison lets a cross run to Carroll but his shot is blocked. Collison follows up but is offside.
    • 65' Expect Pulis to make a change as Stoke are faltering again after a bright start to the half.
    • 64' Diame picks up a loose clearance on the edge of the box and skips past a first challenge into the box but Whelan gets back at him to clear.
    • 62' Vaz Te works the ball well again in midfield but the move breaks down.
    • 61' If West Ham get another unanswered goal then they will go above their hosts by virtue of goals scored.
    • 60' Diame tries to be a little too clever down the right and ends up just falling over and giving away a throw.
    • 58' The game is a little more stretched this half and Stoke are looking a little more threatening.
    • 57' Walters wins a free-kick down the left from Demel. Good opportunity to get a decent ball in but the delivery from Whelan is not up to the required standard.
    • 56' Jerome leads a break as O’Brien slips. Whelan is in acres in the middle but the former Birmingham man can’t get the ball into the box and West Ham half-clear. Crouch follows up on the edge but his shot is saved.
    • 55' Carroll heads a long ball down to Vaz Te who feeds Jarvis but Begovic gets down to it to push it wide for a corner.
    • 53' A shockingly high challenge on Jerome from Collins is quite rightly yellow carded.
    • 52' Vaz Te evades a Stoke challenge before striding toward goal but his shot from distance is always rising.
    • 51' Begovic comes to challenge Carroll quite far out and doesn’t get to the ball. Carroll attempts an over-head kick but it never threatens the goal.
    • 50' Strong start to the half by Stoke who are making decent inroads down the wings – Jaaskelainen comes to claim this time though.
    • 49' Penalty? Not according to the referee. Crouch flicks to Jerome who turns Collins inside the box but O'Brien gets back to clear. Very good challenge but Jerome is raging.
    • 47' No changes thus far.
    • 46' West Ham get the second half underway.
    • 45+3 Deserved lead and that's the last action of the first-half.
    • 45+3' GOOOOAL!! Carroll works the channel well. It is worked back out to Vaz Te, who looks for Carroll but the big forward is fouled. Referee Moss plays the advantage and Vaz Te reverses a pass to Collison. The Welshman steadies himself before firing across Begovic to give West Ham a lead at half-time.
    • 45+1 Three minutes of added time.
    • 45' Carroll is edged off the ball on the edge of a crowded Stoke box.
    • 44' Diame finds Jarvis down the left in a one-on-one situation but Shotton again gets the better of him and ushers the former Wolves man off the ball.
    • 43' Kightly has a sighter from distance but it is tame.
    • 43' Jarvis looks to get beyond Shotton but a decent recovery challenge prevents the cross.
    • 42' West Ham have certainly had the better of this one but have not a lot to show for it.
    • 40' Demel has offered a great outlet, but, once the ball is worked to O’Brien, his cross brings West Ham’s move to an end. Poor, poor cross.
    • 38' Jerome appears to slap O'Neil in the face and he is a lucky lad there. If O’Neil had gone down then that was a red.
    • 37' Demel works a yard just as Carroll evades the attentions of Shawcross but he plants the header well wide of the goal. And that was the chance of the game thus far.
    • 35' Jerome goes down in the box under the challenge of Collins but the front man had gone a fraction too soon.
    • 34'[ Carroll exchanges passes with Diame but the midfielder can’t just get around Walters and the ball is out for a throw.
    • 33' Crouch’s heavy touch results in him launching into a late challenge on Diame. Free-kick that will go long to Carroll.
    • 32' Despite the loss of two influential players West Ham are having the better of this one now.
    • 31' Jerome and Reid are having what is often described as a ‘ding-dong’ of a battle. The defender is getting the better of the forward at the moment but Jerome is relishing being part of a front two.
    • 29' A corner is half-cleared by the hosts and, while Collison’s shot is on target, it is a rudimentary save for Begovic.
    • 28' Stoke go long but Reid comes across to deal with the danger and concede a throw.
    • 26' Those changes seem to have galvanised the Hammers. Collison finds Carroll and his cross is a beauty but, with no colleague even attempting to make the run, the ball flashes across the box. Diame picks it up near the sideline and skips past his man but his cross is cut out.
    • 24' The corner is worked short and Jarvis whips it to the far post from the edge and Collins gets to it first and his flicked header clips the bar. Best chance thus far.
    • 23' Vaz Te has been pretty bright thus far and his shot is blocked for a corner.
    • 22' The corner is half-cleared before it is then lashed forward to Vaz Te, who runs at the home defence but his attempt at a square pass doesn’t have the required pace and Nzonzi steps in to clear.
    • 21' Jerome stretches his legs down the right to get to a ball in the channel, the forward then skips past Reid before crossing for Crouch but West Ham clear.
    • 20' With two up front, Stoke are operating with an even more direct threat than usual – this time Jerome flicks on for Crouch but the ball carries through to Jaaskelainen.
    • 19' Carroll leads with his arm and catches Nzonzi square on the chin.
    • 17' Carroll sees a first sight of goal but his effort is blocked. He reacts by hacking Wilson down and their first period of pressure is brought to an abrupt end.
    • 16' Diame needs to step up here – as with Taylor and Cole both off injured, he is the most senior West Ham midfielder but he sets a terrible example by pulling out of a 50-50 with Nzonzi.
    • 15' The early injuries though have had a serious impact on the flow of the game. Walters forces O’Brien into an error down the right though as Stoke build some more territorial advantage.
    • 13' Stoke look to take advantage of indecision in the ranks of West Ham with both full-backs pushed on – this time though Wilkinson can’t get the return ball back to Whelan.
    • 12' Already without Nolan and Noble in the middle coming into this fixture, this is a double blow as they look to arrest a poor run of form.
    • 11' Joe Cole is making his way to the sidelines too – and Vaz Te is on for what is apparently a hamstring injury.
    • 10' Collison enters the fray.
    • 9' Collison is the likely replacement, but the Hammers are a man short at the moment.
    • 8' Looks like Taylor will not be able to continue.
    • 7' Long hiatus for Taylor to regain his bearings.
    • 5' The resulting corner is half-cleared. Crouch goes for the speculative over-head but he catches Taylor square on the chin.
    • 4' Ferocious start here. O'Brien puts in an abject challenge on Walters and Jon Moss looks to be fiddling around in his pocket but then thinks better of it to the howls of the home crowd. The free-kick is slung long but the Hammers clear.
    • 3' Both sides are currently bottom of the Premier League form table. Having struggled for goals, Stoke are shaping up in a 4-4-2.
    • 2' Jaaskelainen makes a hash of a back-pass and the hosts have an early corner. The Potters go short to Kightly, who, in time and space, on the edge fires wildly wide.
    • 1' And we're underway in Staffordshire. The hosts gets the game underway to the usual din from the home faithful.
    • 14:55 Today’s referee is Jon Moss of West Yorkshire
    • 14:50 Assistant manager Neil McDonald: "It's a stern test. I think they're very well organised. They're quite direct with the way they play, into the forwards, then knocking it down and getting it wide. We have to deal with crosses, we have to deal with knock downs as well. Hopefully with our game and our game plan we can give them a little bit of a test as well. We're looking forward to the game and we're trying to put right what we haven't done over the last four or five away games."
    • 14:45 Tony Pulis: "We have Marc Wilson, who has played centre-half before, and Geoff Cameron, who has played for the United States at that position, so we have got cover (for the suspended Huth). We have got Shawcross there as well, and I don't think it will be determined by that single battle (with Carroll), whichever way you look at it."
    • 14:40 The omens for West Ham are not good: Sam Allardyce’s team have lost their last five Premier League matches on the road - the club haven’t lost six in a row since December 2006. Furthermore, the injured Kevin Nolan has scored four winning goals for West Ham in the Premier League this season - only Gareth Bale (6) and Robin van Persie (5) have netted more.
    • 14:35 The significance of this fixture has been intensified by virtue of an identical record coming into the match that has seen strong starts tempered by a record of four points from their last seven games. In 14th, and just six points above the relegation zone, West Ham appear in more immediate danger but this game could have a large bearing on the trajectory of both side's seasons.
    • 14:30 A broken toe rules out West Ham captain Kevin Nolan, but Guy Demel has overcome an injury sustained in the game against Spurs on Monday. Mark Noble, who missed the Monday night match, fails to recover in time meaning Gary O’Neil retains his place in midfield.
    • 14:25 Robert Huth starts his three-game ban. The perennially injured Michael Owen failed a late fitness test on a thigh problem while Matthew Etherington is out with a back problem.
    • 14:20 Teams: Stoke City: Begovic; Shotton, Shawcross (c), Wilson, Wilkinson; Walters, Whelan, Nzonzi, Kightly; Jerome, Crouch. Subs: Sorensen, Cameron, Palacios, Jones, Adam, Whitehead, Shea. /// West Ham United: Jaaskelainen; Demel, Collins, Reid (c), O'Brien; J Cole, O'Neil, Diame, Taylor, Jarvis; Carroll.
