    • FT And that’s it from the Lane – stay here for the report. Spurs bring a run of three successive defeats to an end in pretty impressive fashion with a 3-1 drubbing of West Ham United. They will be disappointed to have conceded late on, though.
    • 90+4 Sigurdsson for Defoe for the hosts – that wastes some time but will also protects Defoe from a red card.
    • 90+3 Spurs deal with the corner comfortably.
    • 90+1 O'Brien megs Defoe, who then hauls the defender back on the edge of the box. Defoe is lucky not to get a second yellow there. The free-kick is blocked by Defoe in the wall, Taylor then thrashes it across the box. Dawson has to turn it over the bar from literally a yard out.
    • 90' Jaaskelainen then pushes a Bale effort wide as Spurs look to out further gloss on an already polished performance.
    • 88' Dembele slips past a West Ham challenge before finding Defoe who cuts inside and draws a save from Jaaskelainen.
    • 86' Livermore for Sandro - AVB will be hoping that the injury isn't as bad as it looks.
    • 84' Sandro has gone down injured after a challenge with Diame and we have a slight hiatus as the stretcher comes out.
    • 82' GOAL!! Lloris comes to claim a cross but Caulker gets to it first and hacks clear. O'Brien returns the ball into the box and Carroll heads past Lloris from around the penalty spot. 3-1.
    • 81' Bale finds Walker in the channel on the right but the right-back, who has had a superb game, elects to try to beat Jaaskelainen at the near post. Defoe was well-placed in the box and throws a withering eye to his England teammate as his effort hits the side netting.
    • 79' Lennon makes way for Dembele.
    • 77' Dempsey, reinvigorated this half, receives the ball on the wrong side of Diame before firing across goal. Bale was lurking but the shot had too much on it and skids across the turf for a throw.
    • 75' AVB has his detractors but his selection has been spot on here. Dawson has handled the physical presence of Carroll and now Cole very well with Lloris also putting in a dominant display.
    • 73' Lennon leads another quick break but, with a man either side, his pass finds neither and the chance has gone. Spurs had a lot of men forward there. Tomkins goes long with a free-kick but Lloris claims.
    • 71' Cole immediately gives away a free-kick for backing into Caulker – inauspicious start for the big man.
    • 69' Nolan is replaced by Cole for the Hammers.
    • 67' Defoe gets across the front post to flick a cross from Walker goalwards but Jaaskelainen claims.
    • 66' Spurs in total control now as the visiting fans set off a flare.
    • 64' GOOOAL! This is turning into a rout. Dempsey slips the ball to Lennon, who evades a sliding challenge to break clear of the West Ham defence before drawing Jaaskelainen and squaring for Defoe to make it three. 3-0.
    • 62' Defoe gives away a free-kick just inside his own half. Nolan lofts it in but Lloris comes to claim.
    • 60' Much more open affair now as the visitors have to come out and attack.
    • 58' GOOAL!! Bale makes it two. Dempsey, who has been quiet, comes to life and lifts a wonderful ball over the top into the path of Bale, whose first touch isn’t ideal but he adapts his body shape to prod past Jaaskelainen and in off the post.
    • 57' Dempsey with a beautiful take before thudding the crossbar from just outside the box.
    • 55' Great, great goalkeeping from Lloris. Nolan breaks down the right and looks to pick out Taylor at the far post. The ball is inch perfect but Lloris reads it brilliantly to claim at the substitute’s feet.
    • 54' O’Neil off for Taylor for the Hammers.
    • 53' All Spurs this half. Bale drops his shoulder on the edge, beats his man and stings the palms of Jaaskelainen from just outside the box.
    • 51' Sandro slips the ball in behind the West Ham defence but Defoe just can’t get the required connection and it is blocked for a corner. He may have caught the turf there Defoe as he ambles away gingerly. Spurs play the corner short to Sandro but he can’t get his foot around the ball and it is out for a goal kick.
    • 49' Jarvis latches on to a long ball to Carroll but his tame effort is pushed wide by Lloris.
    • 48' Early free-kick opportunity as Noble is late again. Bale over it from 30 yards and strikes across the ball. It swerves and dips before dropping wide.
    • 46' Spurs get the second half underway.
    • 45+1 And that’s it from the first half.
    • 45' Diame has a shot from distance as he looks to muster an instant riposte. High and wide.
    • 44' GOOOAL!! Great, great goal from Defoe. Starved of service, he collects the ball in midfield, shows great upper body strength to hold off two West Ham players and drive at goal. He comes back on himself past Noble before firing past Jaaskelainen from outside the box. Great goal.
    • 43' Dempsey is not on his toes and West Ham break down the right with Jarvis. He cuts it back and a Spurs clearance falls to Nolan. His shot is blocked by three or four flailing bodies.
    • 42' Bale runs into a cul-de-sac and is crowded out by a gaggle of West Ham defenders. He hustles back though and wins a throw. Spurs work the ball cross midfield rather than through it and Huddlestone elects to shoot from distance. It is high and wide though.
    • 40' Huddlestone waves a foot at the ball to flick it into Dempsey but the American is wrong side of Tomkins and pushes him in the back. Quality needs to be better from the hosts.
    • 39' Lennon wins another free-kick down the right. Huddlestone clips it in but it doesn’t even beat Carroll at the near post. Poor.
    • 38' Although in control of the game, Spurs look a little pedestrian in the middle of midfield with Huddlestone and, to a lesser extent, Sandro not mobile enough for Spurs to break at the required pace when in possession.
    • 36' Bale, starting out on the right, comes inside McCartney with ease but his shot from 30 yards is sliced well wide. He is looking to get the tempo up but can’t do it on his own.
    • 34' Defoe having just been called offside is very late on Reid and he picks up the yellow. Possible bit of frustration there from the forward.
    • 32' It is a very quiet White Hart Lane as West Ham have throttled the life out of the game.
    • 31' Jarvis for Maiga, who doesn’t go straight down the tunnel so that looks a tactical one and not an injury.
    • 29' Allardyce looks to be preparing a change. Jarvis is getting ready to come on it appears.
    • 28' Yellow card for Noble but Spurs waste the free-kick with Vertonghen’s cross far too deep to cause any problems.
    • 27' The Hammers have their first decent spell of possession with Carroll linking things well. Nolan finds Maiga but his cross is blocked. Spurs break with Lennon but Noble slides through the side of the little man.
    • 25' West Ham are so deep and Spurs look bereft of ideas.
    • 24' Diame hauls back Sandro – that’s his third foul and he needs to be careful. Over the kick, Huddlestone looks to lift it behind O'Brien for Vertonghen but it goes out on the full.
    • 22' Bale delivers the corner and Dawson rises to meet it but a West Ham head clears. O’Neil looks to lead a break but Walker, who has been superb thus far, steals the ball and Spurs come again.
    • 20' Spurs retain the ball well before Bale ups the tempo, beats two men and looks to dig out a cross. McCartney blocks but has picked up an injury in the process.
    • 18' West Ham have some respite in the shape of a free-kick just inside the Tottenham half – it is lofted into the box and Carroll rises well but his header loops wide. Incredibly, the big frontman has yet to score or assist since his summer move.
    • 16' West Ham are giving the ball away very cheaply thus far.
    • 15' Bale slips the ball to Dempsey but the American takes a fraction too long to steady himself and under pressure his shot never threatens the goal of Jaaskelainen.
    • 14' Nolan breaks the offside trap but his deep cross is cleared by Walker.
    • 13' Bale leads another break but his cross is cut out for a throw.
    • 12' What an effort. Bale receives the ball with his back to goal in midfield, turns his man and, just as it looks like he has overrun it, he unleashes a hellish shot from 25 yards that clatters the underside of the bar with Jaaskelainen beaten.
    • 11' West Ham happy to sit deep here and hit the home side on the break – you wonder how that Europa League excursion will impact on the hosts intensity as the game progresses.
    • 10' A very good start from Spurs here. Defoe looking particularly bright.
    • 9' Bale whips the free-kick in from 30 yards out on the left but West Ham clear. Huddlestone volleys the clearance handsomely wide from 25 yards.
    • 7' O'Brien scythes down Bale on the turn and he is in the book – will be interesting to see how he deals with the threat of Bale now. Yellow card inside ten minutes.
    • 6' Vertonghen combines with Bale before whipping a ball in at Defoe. Reid is there and hacks away. Sandro intercepts as West Ham attempt to break before slipping a ball in behind for Defoe at a tightish angle. Defoe looks to lift it over Jaaskelainen but can’t get enough on it.
    • 4' Dempsey finds Defoe on the shoulder of Tomkins. Defoe cuts back inside and lashes a wild effort high and wide from a good 30 yards. Bale had made great ground on his outside and is not shy in venting his frustrations at his colleague.
    • 3' Defoe has an early sight of goal but his touch is a little heavy and Tomkins gets across the diminutive front man and clears for a throw. A better touch there and he was in.
    • 2' West Ham get us underway bidding to win at the Lane for the first time since 1999. They immediately go long but Spurs mop that up easily.
    • 1' Referee Andre Marriner gets this one underway to a near deafening din in North London.
    • 15:55 MATCH ODDS: Spurs 7/10, West Ham 9/2, Draw 12/5.
    • 15:50 Sam Allardyce: "We know we are in a very good position but this run of fixtures could cause us a few problems. I think we will play well and I do not think we will let ourselves down but we could play our best in the next four games and lose all four. If Tottenham, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool are all at their best then it is going to be very difficult for us."
    • 15:45 Managers quotes: Villas Boas on West Ham’s loan signing, Andy Carroll’s lack of goals: ”He fits their style of play which is so effective, very direct but with great results. Obviously he's not scoring as much as he wants to but he's creating chances for others.”
    • 15:40 SOME MATCH FACTS: Tottenham have won seven and lost one of their last 10 Premier League games against West Ham with former Hammer, Jermain Defoe, scoring in four of his last seven Premier League games for Tottenham against West Ham. Spurs have not lost three Premier League games in a row at White Hart Lane since September 2008, but If Premier League games lasted 80 minutes this season, Spurs would be second, behind West Brom.
    • 15:35 Today marks the start of a relatively difficult run of games for the Hammers with a midweek clash at Manchester United followed by another London derby with Chelsea next weekend.
    • 15:30 As events of the last week have shown, football is a results driven business. And Sam Allardyce – often derided by critics as a long ball, “anti-football” merchant – has steered the Hammers into seventh place on their return to the Premier League with his approach having the universal backing of Upton Park. That approach, to be fair, has involved some good, expansive football.
    • 15:25 A pretty abject display in the Italian capital against Lazio in the Europa League was overshadowed by that shocking stabbing and controversial anti-Semitic chanting but Spurs are in need of a win following damaging domestic defeats to Wigan, Manchester City and Arsenal.
    • 15:20 Four defeats in their last five Premier League games does not read well for Andre Villas Boas. Spurs started the day a place and two points behind their London neighbours West Ham in eighth but victory would put them within touching distance of the Champions League spots such is the open nature of the 2012-13 Premier League.
    • 15:15 TEAMS: Tottenham: Lloris, Walker, Caulker, Dawson, Vertonghen, Huddlestone, Sandro, Lennon, Bale, Dempsey, Defoe. Subs: Friedel, Gallas, Naughton, Dembele, Sigurdsson, Livermore, Carroll. /// West Ham: Jaaskelainen, O'Brien, Reid, Tomkins, McCartney, Noble, Nolan, Diame, O'Neil, Maiga, Carroll. Subs: Spiegel, Demel, Collins, Moncur, Taylor, Jarvis, Cole.
    • 15:10 Jack Collison and Ricardo Vaz Te have failed to recover from knee and shoulder injuries respectively and are out, as is Yossi Benayoun but winger Matt Jarvis returns to the squad after overcoming a shin injury.
    • 15:05 TEAM NEWS: Mousa Dembele felt some stiffness in his hip following his substitute appearance against Lazio on Thursday, and is only fit enough for the bench. Emmanuel Adebayor serves the first of his three game ban following his sending off against former club Arsenal. Scott Parker, Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Younes Kaboul remain unavailable. Lloris continues in goal.
