    • - Don't forget you can watch highlights of this match, along with every Premier League game, from 00:01 on Monday morning (UK only).
    • 90+5' What a win for West Brom! They have toppled Chelsea and go fourth in the Premier League! Jubilant scenes at The Hawthorns, fantastic stuff! Roberto Di Matteo left to rue fielding a weakened team.
    • 90+4' Free-kick West Brom as they look to bleed more time off the clock... nearly there.
    • 90+3' Corner Chelsea, Sturridge plays it short from the left to Mata to curls it in for.. CECH!!! He sticks out a long leg but cannot make contact!
    • 90+2' Rosenberg goes on an epic solo run down the right before cutting inside and hitting a shot at Cech. I suspect Steve Clarke would rather he had headed for the corner flag.
    • 90+1' Mulumbu is back on, and moving gingerly. He is on the left with Brunt now in the middle. FOUR MINUTES of stoppage time to be played.
    • 90' West Brom pinned back in their own box, making clearance after clearance. This is heroic stuff from them.
    • 89' Mulumbu comes off the field. Not sure if he's abandoned hope of getting back on, but for now West Brom have 10 men.
    • 88' Mulumbu goes down again after a midfield challenge, and this time it really could be curtains. Steve Clarke is instructing Chris Brunt, who will presumably be required to play a holding midfield role.
    • 87' Sturridge again! How man chances does he need? This time he drills a low left-foot shot wide from a great position. Had to score!
    • 86' A headed clearance drops to Hazard, whose volley takes a big deflection and skids into Myhill's hands.
    • 85' Oscar is muscled off it in the box - he eventually goes down but only after the ball is cleared.
    • 84' Having confidently said Rosenberg is more of a target man than Shane Long, I now note that he is all of 2cm taller than the Irishman. 1.82m plays 1.80m.
    • 83' Mulumbu is still limping very badly, and he is almost in tears. But he will play on. West Brom effectively down to 10 here.
    • 82' Mulumbu tries a long shot with Cech out of position but fires wide. He appears to have hurt himself and signals for a change, but West Brom have none left. Oh dear. He will soldier on for now.
    • 82' And the final Chelsea change sees Ramires come on for Mikel.
    • 81' Wow, what an ovation for Shane Long as he leaves the pitch. Rosenberg comes on. More of a target man, he will be looking to hold play up, presumably.
    • 81' Olsson knocks it long for, er, Long, who races Cahill and the Chelsea man just gets there first.
    • 80' Chelsea lead the corner count 10-0.
    • 79' It's all happening now as West Brom break, and a heavy touch from Long costs him a great chance.
    • 78' Sturridge denied again!! The striker races through on goal and yet again Myhill stays big to make a vital save! Great through ball from Mata, incidentally.
    • 77' Markus Rosenberg is about to come on for West Brom - that will be their final change. Long or maybe Odemwingie to come off...
    • 76' Mata curls a diangonal ball for the marauding Luiz, but Jones gets his head on it first.
    • 75' West Brom launch another attack as Mulumbu finds Long who attempts an outrageous backheel assist that is cut out.
    • 73' Amazing how bringing a pair of world class players off the bench changes the game, eh? And as I type that, Mata hits an aimless ball out for a throw. Clogger.
    • 72' West Brom come away on the counter-attack, but Long lacks support and he gets crowded out.
    • 71' That second half possession stat has now swung completely Chelsea's way - 54 per cent for them!
    • 70' West Brom changes: Brunt and Dorrans on for Gera and Morrison.
    • 69' As things stand, West Brom will go fourth and move within a point of Chelsea. But a long 20 minutes ahead of them.
    • 68' Chelsea, obviously, look much better after those changes but there is still no way through. Mata so inventive with his passing in and around the box, though.
    • 67' Oscar is playing as one of the central midfield duo, Sturridge is up top, and the attacking midfield reads Hazard (left), Mata (centre), Moses (right).
    • 66' Chelsea have a penalty shout turned down for a shoulder-to-shoulder challenge on Moses. Looked OK to me.
    • 65' Myhill saves from Sturridge! It's fingertip stuff as Mata lofts the ball over the top, Sturridge sticks out a boot and Myhill claws it away.
    • 64' Mata curls the ball into the box for Sturridge, who is offside. Sturridge now playing as the main striker after Torres's withdrawal.
    • 63' And another change - Fernando Torres comes off after another ineffective display and Juan Mata takes the field.
    • 62' Here's the change - Romeu comes off and Oscar replaces him.
    • 61' Olsson slices the ball behind for another Chelsea corner... headed well clear at the near post.
    • 61' Oscar is about to come on for Chelsea - he's just sorting his gloves out.
    • 60' Gera does indeed shoot from the free-kick but it hits a defender in the chest.
    • 60' The free-kick is delayed by some medical treatment to James Morrison. And there's movement on the Chelsea bench...
    • 59' West Brom win a free-kick right at the edge of the Chelsea box. Zoltan Gera looks favourite to take it.
    • 58' More from West Indies batsman Chris Gayle: "West Brom in the building!!!" Chris Gayle on Twitter
    • 56' Blimey - West Brom have had over 75 percent possession since half-time. Doesn't feel like it...
    • 55' In comes the corner, and Myhill dives bravely on the ball as Moses steams in. The keeper stays down for a few seconds but he is fine...
    • 54' Sturridge backheels and Tamas intercepts, but at the cost of a corner.
    • 54' Goals going in all over the place in the Premier League - visit our score centre for all the latest. Premier League: LIVE
    • 53' Chance for West Brom to relieve the pressure as they are awarded a free-kick 25 yards from their own goal - Myhill whacks it long downfield.
    • 52' Danger at the other end as Olsson sprawls on the ground to make a clearance. Hazard now wins a corner.
    • 51' That header actually went through Cech's legs, though the keeper was not at fault. Lovely movement from West Brom, with Long and Odemwingie switching positions there.
    • 50' GOAL!! Peter Odemwingie meets Shane Long's right-sided cross with a glancing header that beats Cech and finds the net! West brom back in front!
    • 49' Chelsea starting the second half strongly - as they finished the first, in fact.
    • 48' Sturridge! He strikes a left-foot shot from inside the box and Myhill reacts well to parry it away!
    • 47' West Brom clear the corner and James Morrison comes away holding his arm as though he has taken a bash of some sort.
    • 46' Second half under way with no personnel changes from either manager - and immediately Ridgewell heads behind for a corner.
    • 45+2' That's half-time, and the scores are level in an entertaining clash here at the Hawthorns.
    • 45+2' David Luiz gets his head on the corner but cannot direct it towards goal.
    • 45+1' Seconds remain in the first half as a Moses cross hits Olsson and goes behind. Chelsea well on top now.
    • 45' Holy Moses! Victor skies his shot from the right after Cahill tees him up. A great chance goes begging.
    • 44' David Luiz strikes the free-kick - it squeaks through a hole in the wall but the ball gets enough of a deflection to go wide for a corner.
    • 43' Sturridge goes down with an exaggerated fall at the edge of the box - though it was a foul by Yacob. Dangerous free-kick here.
    • 42' Another replay shows that Hazard header actually went in off Jones. No idea whether it will go down as an own goal but let's stick with Hazard for now.
    • 41' Honestly, West Brom can count themselves a little unlucky only to be level. Arguably Billy Jones should have done better with that cross Hazard scored from. Eadin' Hazard...
    • 40' Sturridge has another long shot and is off target again.
    • 39' GOAL!! Chelsea are level! Hazard switches the ball for Azpilicueta on the right and continues his run into the box - and he arrives at the far post to head in the full-back's cross from close range!
    • 38' Chelsea look to play some neat triangles on the left but there is precious little penetration. None, in fact.
    • 37' Remember Chelsea have a formidable bench of players. The attacking options are Ramires, Mata, Oscar and Marin.
    • 36' Shane Long is giving Chelsea the runaround here! He darts inside from the left, beats Azpilicueta and shoots just wide - Di Matteo has seen enough and springs off his bench to dispense some wisdom.
    • 35' Romeu tries a long shot but takes too long to set himself and the effort is blocked.
    • 34' Sturridge is off the field receiving treatment on a leg injury of some sort. He will continue. as soon as he can get back on the pitch.
    • 33' Penalty appeal! Long goes down under the challenge of Cahill as the ball arrives in from the right - looked like there was contact but Michael Oliver says play on!
    • 32' First shot on target for Chelsea, but in truth it is never likely to go in - Sturridge hits ait with the outside of his boot from the edge of the box but it's straight at Myhill.
    • 31' Claudio Yacob is having another fine game in central midfield. He wins a free-kick then gestures to his team-mates to calm down before restarting play.
    • 30' The lack of match detail here can be explained by the measure of control West Brom are exerting over the game. The ball spending a lot of time in the middle third.
    • 29' Bertrand crosses for Sturridge who gets muscled off the ball... Moses takes over but a heavy touch sees him dispossessed.
    • 28' This has been a great opening from West Brom - on this form it's not hard to see why they are fifth in the table.
    • 27' There's been a goal in 'El Sackico' between QPR and Southampton. Check out the matchcast to see which way it has gone. QPR v Southampton: LIVE
    • 26' More patient build-up from West Brom but they cannot deliver a meaningful ball into the box.
    • 24' Jones attempts a cross from the West Brom right... it is blocked and the home team proceed to work the ball patiently around.
    • 23' On the international feed, apparently Trevor Francis reckons Petr Cech "hasn't adapted to the passback rule". Cech was 10 years old when it was introduced. HT @FootballCliches
    • 22' Boaz Myhill whacks a long clearance out for a throw. The Welshman is in for the injured Ben Foster who is still recovering from a groin strain.
    • 21' Only one goal elsewhere in the Premier League's 3pm kick-offs. Consider yourselves lucky to be following this one. Premier League scores
    • 19' Nice stat, this time from Infostrada: Another clean sheet chance wasted for Petr Cech who remains on 132 and has been made to wait 7 matches to equal Van der Sar's 133 in the Premier League.
    • 18' The visitors dominating possession now... Torres attempts to backheel a through ball which is cut out.
    • 17' Wasteful from Moses who seizes possession 40 yards out but slices his shot well wide.
    • 16' Mikel hits a low shot from 25 yards - it skips just wide of the left-hand post.
    • 15' West Indies opener Chris Gayle is in Dhaka, Bangladesh at the moment - but he is still tweeting about this game: "West Brom looking good.... Chelsea in for a rough battle!!! That's only 1 luv courtesy of Bob Marley so far!!" Chris Gayle on Twitter
    • 14' Moses looking to make inroads down the left, where most of Chelsea's good moments have come... the ball goes out for a goal kick.
    • 13' Bertrand has three men around him as he attempts to cross. The ball ricochets to Hazard however but he is dispossessed by Mulumbu. Great start from West Brom.
    • 12' Corner from the Chelsea left... headed clear by Olsson, I think.
    • 11' After scoring, Shane Long lifted his shirt to reveal a vest with the message 'Rest in Peace Nan'.
    • 10' GOAL!! Shane Long gives West Brom the lead! Morrison crosses deftly from the left side of the box and finds Long whose downward header bounces up and into the roof of the net!
    • 8' Hazard's follow-up from that Bertand chance bounced up and hit Olsson on the arm, but Michael Oliver dismissed the lukewarm penalty appeal.
    • 7' Cleared off the line! Sturridge plays a nice little flick for Moses (yes, really) whose cross finds its way to Bertrand, and Ridgewell is back on the line to clear the full-back's bobbling effort.
    • 6' Chelsea dominating possession in the early stages. No real chances for either side.
    • 5' Morrison drives into the box on the right side but is met by a strong challenge from David Luiz.
    • 4' Sturridge really did look like a player about 18 months ago, but he now looks so selfish it's almost like he's parodying himself.
    • 3' And that derisive cheer marks the first optimistic Daniel Sturridge shot of the the day, which he drags well wide. Had options, too.
    • 2' Cesar Azpilicueta crosses from the right... it hits a West Brom boot in the box and the ball pings out towards halfway.
    • 1' Game on! Chelsea kick off, playing from right to left in their black change strip with yellow trim. West Brom in white and navy stripes.
    • 14:57 Out come the teams at a boisterous Hawthorns. And well the Baggies fans might be in good spirits - they lie fifth in the table after two straight wins. Chelsea, meanwhile, have not won in three.
    • 14:55 If you're wondering why Roberto Di Matteo has made so many changes, the answer is Tuesday's Champions League trip to Juventus. It's a huge game with qualification for the knockout rounds very much in the balance. Champions League: Group E details
    • 14:50 West Brom manager Steve Clarke made 421 appearances for Chelsea as a player and was an assistant manager at Stamford Bridge during Jose Mourinho and Avram Grant’s reigns.
    • 14:45 Now, in the interest of balance, some West Brom stats - again, from Opta. West Brom ended a run of 13 consecutive defeats (11 of them in the Premier League) in all competitions at the hands of Chelsea when they beat the Blues 1-0 in March 2012. West Brom have only netted five goals in 12 Premier League games against Chelsea.
    • 14:40 It's all over at the Emirates Stadium, where Arsenal have spanked Tottenham 5-2 again - the key moment there was Emmanuel Adebayor's red card in the first half. Matchcast: Arsenal 5-2 Tottenham
    • 14:35 A couple of stats from Opta that interested me: Three of the top six scoring defenders in the Premier League since August 2009 currently play for Chelsea – Gary Cahill (13 goals), John Terry (12) and Branislav Ivanovic (11). Seven of Chelsea’s goals this season have come from defenders; a league-high tally.
    • 14:30 West Brom boss Steve Clarke brings in Gabriel Tamas for Gareth McAuley - Romelu Lukaku is on loan from Chelsea and ineligible to face his parent club.
    • 14:25 An interesting piece of squad rotation from Roberto Di Matteo as Chelsea field possibly the strongest bench in Premier League history. Rare starts for Romeu and Sturridge among others.
    • 14:20 WEST BROM: Myhill, Jones, Tamas, Olsson, Ridgewell, Yacob, Mulumbu, Odemwingie, Morrison, Gera, Long... Subs: Daniels, Popov, Reid, Dorrans, Brunt, Rosenberg, Fortune. /// CHELSEA: Cech, Azpilicueta, Cahill, Luiz, Bertrand, Mikel, Romeu, Sturridge, Moses, Hazard, Torres... Subs: Turnbull, Ivanovic, Cole, Ramires, Mata, Oscar, Marin.

  1. Wisely remarked Amir, to be realist, Blues are lagging behind United and City game after game. With such a leaky defense and middle line and useless Torres how is championship possible. Yet however January transfers can be a helpful opportunity to make up. De Mattoe must give more field to Marin, Moses and Mata.

  15. Di Matteo has shown us that he is no real coach. Did he really think that WBA were a weak team? Doesn't he know where they stand in the Premier table? Fielding a weak team shows his lack of perspective. And how long is he going to put up with worthless players? At this rate Chelsea will not qualify for even the fourth place.
