    • 90+6 Negredo almost meets a Zabaleta cross but it's over for a goal kick. Can Cardiff hold on? YES THEY CAN! THEY HAVE BEATEN MANCHESTER CITY!
    • 90+6 Cardiff's fans can barely look. This would be a massive result for any side - for them, it's worth so so much.
    • 90+5 Almost a terrible slip by Lescott but he recovers to clear - now Aguero skips away and hammers in a shot but it's wide!
    • 90+4 Aguero has the ball in the net but he was offside after clever defending from Turner.
    • 90+3 CARDIFF SUB: Campbell, the man of the match, is replaced by debutant Cornelius.
    • 90+2 GOAL MAN CITY! Negredo with a looping header into the top left after a fine cross from Silva! 3-2!!
    • 90' SIX minutes added time! What's Spanish for Fergie time?!
    • 89' CARDIFF SUB: Mutch replaces Kim, who has been excellent.
    • 88' The home fans are delirious. We have stopped taking bets on a pitch invasion.
    • 87' Pellegrini's 'holistic' approach appears to be reaping dividends - for Cardiff. This is a monster result for them.
    • 86' GOAL CARDIFF!!! 3-1! Cowie takes it AND CAMPBELL HAS SCORED AGAIN! At the far post once more and this time it's a clean header! City fall apart!
    • 85' Cardiff have a corner on the left and boy they will take their time...
    • 84' Zabaleta with a strong run and cross but hoofed out for a throw. And now Kim is fouled by Zabaleta and Cardiff have a breather.
    • 83' Milner with the corner but the header from the edge of the box is easy for Marshall.
    • 82' Whittingham does well to head behind after a fine cross from Negredo causes problems. Cardiff make a change as Cowie replaces Bellamy, who hands the armband to a team-mate.
    • 82' Garcia meets the corner with his head but too close to Marshall.
    • 81' Silva with a drive that takes a touch off a defender to spin wide for a corner.
    • 81' Cardiff's fans, with some sense of irony, are doing the Poznan. #banter
    • 80' The replay shows it actually went in off Campbell's shoulder. He doesn't care - Cardiff don't care. They lead Man City 2-1. Hart flapped a bit at the corner. He won't be happy with the tapes later.
    • 79' GOAL CARDIFF! Fraizer Campbell with a brilliant, towering header at the far post! The stadium erupts!
    • 79' Now Cardiff have a corner, which they will take their time to deliver as Caulker and co stroll up...
    • 78' MAN CITY SUB: Milner makes his entrance. Fernandinho makes way.
    • 77' Silva fires high and wide after being sent away by an excellent Aguero pass. Aguero has suddenly burst into life.
    • 76' Aguero scuttles into the box before laying it off to Nasri, but several red shirts fly out to block.
    • 75' Much better delivery from Zabaleta this time but Nasri misses the cross! Now Turner scrambles it clear as Silva puts it in! Then the ball drops to Toure, who hits it into the sea.
    • 74' Good defending by Connolly under pressure from Aguero. I have a sneaky feeling about Manchester City here...
    • 73' Malky Mackay is animated on the touchline as he urges his side on.
    • 72' STAT: Aron Gunnarsson is the second Icelandic player to score in the PL for a Welsh club. Gylfi Sigurdsson was the first, scoring seven for Swansea.
    • 71' Whittingham almost releases Campbell, who fouls Lescott as he tries to turn into the box.
    • 70' Toure launches a high ball into the box, well gathered by Marshall though.
    • 69' Cardiff's Taylor, who picked up a knock earlier, is back on the turf. Looks like he'll need replacing.
    • 68' MAN CITY SUB: Negredo replaces Dzeko, who is bleeding from his chin or nose I think...
    • 67' Gunnarsson launches a clearance upfield but here come City again... I thought Cardiff would start to apply the pressure but it seems they're happy to sit back...
    • 66' Negredo is being warmed up. Surely he'll come on for Aguero who, backheel aside, has been ineffectual?
    • 65' Medel finds Bellamy but Clichy gets a vital touch on his flick. Still with Cardiff but that could have been Bellers running clear.
    • 64' Cardiff with all hands on deck as City launch into wave after wave of attack...
    • 62' Cardiff are really up for this. City need to concentrate and regroup or they could be in for a tough half hour...
    • 61' STAT (Infostrada): Cardiff have lost the last two league games Aron Gunnarsson has scored in, losing both 2-1, to Peterborough United and Middlesbrough (in The Championship).
    • 60' That was Cardiff's first top-flight goal in 51 years. Can they get another?
    • 59' GOAL CARDIFF! Gunnarsson pounces after a superb initial save from Hart! Kim was the star with a superb run down the right then a low, near-post cross that Campbell flicked on goal, great save Hart but Gunrarsson was there to finish!
    • 58' Kim on the ball now but he almost sells Medel a hospital ball. The midfielder hears the crowd's roar though and gets in to nick it away.
    • 57' Not a good day for the Welsh - Spurs have gone 1-0 up against Swansea.
    • 56' Taylor has gone down injured but Man City play on. Zabelata crosses and Marshall claims before tossing it out for a throw.
    • 55' MAN CITY SUB: Nasri does come on, with Navas making way.
    • 54' Cardiff's fans were initially stunned but have responded in song. Can they get back into it?
    • 53' Nasri is warming up now. Expect him to replace Navas or Silva.
    • 52' That was some strike from the Bosnian. Fine backheel from Aguero in the build-up.
    • 51' WHAT A GOAL BY DZEKO! Hammers it into the top right from some way out! Something out of nothing!
    • 50' Campbell is chasing and hustling for every ball. He's really endearing himself to the home fans - wonder if Cornelius will make his debut?
    • 49' Free-kick to Cardiff on the left, and an excellent low whipped ball from Whittingham but no-one commits enough and it spins out for a goal kick.
    • 48' Dzeko wide to Zabaleta, he pings it to Fernandinho, who crosses low for Aguero... cleared to touch for a corner. Taken short, now Navas crosses but Zabaleta and Lescott shoot poorly and Cardiff survive.
    • 47' STAT (infostrada): This PL round of matches has only 11 goals so far. The last time a full PL match round had a maximum of 11 goals was round 14 in 2001/02 (10 goals).
    • 46' No changes at the break as the second half gets underway.
    • 45+2 Whittingham's corner is swung into the six-yard box, with Hart sensibily electing to double-fist clear. Throw to Cardiff on the left wing, and the whistle goes - goalless, and I have Cardiff shading it despite City's good possession.
    • 45+2 Gunnarsson squeezes the ball out to Kim, who races away down the right but can't get the cross in for an arriving Campbell. Still, Cardiff have a corner, which Whittingham will swing in from the right....
    • 45+1 Two minutes of added time being played.
    • 45' Zabaleta with a cross aimed for the head of Dzeko, but Turner and Caulker close him out and stunt his leap, with the ball flying behind for a goal kick.
    • 44' WHAT A SAVE BY HART! Campbell seems to have sussed Garcia, beating him to a high ball again, but out flies Hart to save at his feet a la Schmeichel!
    • 44' Garcia was a lucky boy - he appeared to get a handful of Campbell after being beaten by the route one ball. Could easily have been a red card.
    • 43' JUST WIDE BY CAMPBELL!! Gunnarsson with a long ball that left Garcia for dead, Campbell raced in but couldn't get it on target as he came together with Garcia, Hart and Lescott!
    • 42' Navas with a fine ball to send Fernandinho in on the turn, but his touch lets him down. Just seeing a replay of Bellamy squirting water at the ref during that break in play.
    • 41' Clichy with a raking cross that a flying Silva rises to meet, but it spins off his bouffant hairdo and up in the air. Probably the wrong man for that sort of connection.
    • 40' Play restarts and Cardiff return the ball to Joe Hart, sporting enough but greeted with boos by those placid home supporters.
    • 39' Capbell receives treatment as the play is stopped. Sporting from Manchester City to knock the ball out.
    • 38' Campbell is struggling after making that block. He collided with Turner as they flew in together to stop Toure scoring.
    • 37' Fantastic block from Campbell and Turner as Toure smashed in a low drive! That came off the back of an extended spell of pressure. City still have it...
    • 36' A long spell of Manchester City pressure comes to a close as Silva rather hurriedly shoots from range but straight at Marshall.
    • 35' Campbell so nearly turns Lescott, with Kim racing through, but the England defender shows great strength to shrug off the Cardiff striker and Manchester City clear.
    • 34' Silva's touch lets him down as he tries to combine with Aguero down the left. Jeers ring out from the home fans.
    • 33' Kim on the run now, he finds Bellamy as Cardiff show they can knock it about as well as the big guns.
    • 32' A few crunching tackles from both sides but all fair stuff.
    • 31' Aguero with a hanging cross that Dzeko almost meets but Connolly gets a nick on it and Marshall gathers.
    • 30' Fernandinho with a fine pass to Navas, who touches it to Silva - but the Spain man loses control of the ball. Cardiff break with Bellamy on the right, now Kim finds Connolly, back to Kim, back to Connolly and the chance has gone as Connolly crosses deep and easy for Hart.
    • 29' Toure strides forward but for a third time in the first half-hour his through-ball goes beyond his team-mate. This time it's Dzeko's fault though, he let the ball slide under his boot.
    • 28' STAT (Infostrada): Cardiff have not scored a home league goal in the first 25 minutes of a match in 2013. Rudy Gestede was the last player to do so after eight minutes of a 1-0 win against Millwall on 29th December 2012 (The Championship).
    • 27' Campbell strays offside after a fine run and low pass from Connolly - well, he looked onside to me! Very harsh.
    • 26' Sam Hammam is in the crowd today. Blast from the past! Toure limps off for a drink after his exertions earlier.
    • 25' Dzeko is dispossessed by Gunarsson, he releases Campbell but Toure with an inch-perfect, thunderous tackle to send the ball back to Hart. Dzeko is unhappy with the earlier challenge, which did look a bit rough...
    • 24' Throw to City on the left wing which Silva will take. No he won't, Clichy trots up and rather pointlessly chucks it back to Lescott.
    • 23'
    • 22' Fernandinho is closed down super quickly by Cardiff players as he rushes a pass out of play. He likes time on the ball, and they won't give it to him!
    • 21' Almost a chance for Manchester City there as Silva drags a fine low cross into the six-yard box, with Marshall caught in two minds and Turner hacking clear.
    • 20' A long Connolly ball releases Campbell but he is half a yard offside.
    • 19' A break in play, much needed, as Cardiff have a free-kick in their own half.
    • 18' The corner just misses Dzeko but Cardiff can't get it out of their half. Now Silva swings over a floated cross but it skims the head of Dzeko to skew wide for a goal kick.
    • 17' Toure strides forward, finding Clichy to slips in Silva, who wins a corner. The Spaniard will take it himself...
    • 16' Now Cardiff are having a go at City as their high-pressing game sees Medel win the ball and Whittingham ping a low drive straight at Hart.
    • 15' Aguero almost completes a fantastic give-and-go with Silva, but a sliding Caulker gets it away.
    • 14' Clichy on the left as the visitors start to dominate the ball. Now Silva to Navas as Man City switch flanks... probing short passes for now, and Toure with a wasteful high ball that lands for a goal kick. Second time he's done that early on.
    • 13' Navas stays onside, taking the ball on his chest before winning the corner. Better from City. Send on to the head of Aguero, but Caulker knocks it to touch for a throw on the other side.
    • 12' So far Cardiff have had 55% possession. Cracking start for them.
    • 11' GREAT SAVE HART! Whittingham's free-kick was quite superb, flashing over the wall and touched towards goal by Caulker, but somehow Hart managed to parry it! The flag is up as several players were offside, becoming active after Hart's save.
    • 10' Super ball from Bellamy to Campbell, but the latter's attempted through-ball to Whittingham does not come off. Still, Cardiff have a free-kick as Gunnarson is fouled by Toure.
    • 9' Navas on the right, he could send Zabeleta away but elects to cross himself - but overhits it to touch. Poor ball from the Spain winger.
    • 8' A long clearance from Marshall releases Campbell, with Garcia sliding in to hoof to touch just in the nick of time.
    • 7' That is some bench City have: Pantilimon, Nastasic, Milner, Nasri, Kolarov, Negredo and Rodwell all major internationals.
    • 6' Bellamy has joined Whittingham over the free-kick, but the former Villa winger takes it and curls a low effort over the wall and a yard wide, Hart had it well covered, though you wouldn't no that from the noise the home fans are making.
    • 5' Lescott leaves Kim in a heap after the Korean gives him the runaround. Whittingham will take this, about five yards short of the box, centre-right...
    • 4' Better from Manchester City as they build up some possession, but Toure ruins it all with a raking Hollywood ball that is nowhere near the overlapping Zabaleta.
    • 3' But the visitors have a throw deep in Cardiff's half as Turner slides in. The hosts are launching into City though, pressing them hard all over the pitch.
    • 2' Cardiff really having a go early on - City barely getting a look in!
    • 1' SHOUT FOR A PENALTY! Cardiff immediately on the attack as Bellamy skins Clichy, fine cut-back to Whittingham who lays it off for Campbell. The former United striker hits the deck but that looked like a dive as Fernandinho kept his feet in.
    • 1' The first half is underway! Can Cardiff get something out of this?
    • 15:55 STAT (infostrada): Craig Bellamy plays his 274th PL match today. The rest of Cardiff's starting 11 have played a combined total of 277 PL matches between them.
    • 15:50 Some think Garcia is the right option for centre-back in City's injury crisis. What do you think? Let me know on Twitter @Reda_Eurosport...
    • 15:45 Manuel Pellegrini: "I prefer the doctor has the final word on this but I think (Kompany) will be out for at least one month. If we do strengthen (at centre back) it will not just be because of Vincent Kompany’s injury. We have a very good squad and we see what happens."
    • 15:40 Malky Mackay: "We have got to try and make our stadium a fortress. We have to make sure that it is a tough ask for any team that comes down to our stadium. I have no doubt the way our fans will be this season in terms of their ferocity, support and passion for our club and the way our stadium is, it will lend itself to noise, like we had last season. We will have tough teams coming, top teams coming here and it will be a test for us. But we are relishing that."
    • 15:35 Cardiff fans having a laugh trying to check out there fave players (I think they mean 'peek' not 'peak' in the embedded Tweet)
    • 15:30 Can Cardiff use home advantage to get an unlikely result against City? Will Bellamy haunt his own club? Is Garcia the right man to play in defence or should Toure be pushed back? Have your say on Twitter @Reda_Eurosport.

    • 15:25 So the big team news is that Manuel Pellegrini has replaced the injured Vincent Company with midfielder Javi Garcia, who can also play as a centre-back. Nastasic is not deemed fit enough to start after returning to training following injury, but he is on the bench. Micah Richards is also out with a hamstring injury, which leaves them with one senior centre-half.
    • 15:20 Samir Nasri has been stopping to chat with Cardiff fans, which is nice...
    • 15:15 TEAMS - Cardiff: Marshall, Connolly, Taylor, Caulker, Turner, Whittingham, Medel, Campbell, Kim, Gunnarsson, Bellamy; Subs: Lewis, Hudson, Cornelius, Noone, Mutch, Cowie, Maynard /// Manchester City: Hart, Zabaleta, Garcia, Lescott, Clichy, Navas, Fernandinho, Toure, Silva, Dzeko, Aguero; Subs: Pantilimon, Nastasic, Kolarov, Rodwell, Milner, Nasri, Negredo

  1. Just like to let Crag Bellamy know that we at Stoke city will find it difficult to create a good atmosphere when small clubs like Cardiff come to the Brit. This responce to his comment on sky sports.
