WBA
90+5'
That's it! Howard Webb blows his whistle and Cardiff win 1-0!
90+3
Sessegnon's cross is blocked by Taylor and spins into Marshall's grasp. Then Myhill races out of goal at the other end, and has to boot out of play.
90+2
Kim makes great inroads for Cardiff on the counter and heads for the corner flag, before Mulumbu hunts him down and sets West Brom going again. The ball ends up with Sessegnon, who shoots well wide.
90+1'
Four minutes of stoppage time to be played, which commence with Ridgewell overhitting a cross for a throw-in.
90'
Noone is alert again to clear Brunt's ball in, and Marshall gathers the second ball.
Cardiff City Substitution
89'

First of all, Odemwingie is replaced by Kim....
89'
It's a siege here now - Cardiff cannot get it out. Mutch fouls Mulumbu, and WBA have another free kick in a good area.
West Bromwich Albion Substitution
88'

Final change for West Brom. Long is replaced by Matej Vydra.
88'
Berahino takes a bit of a slash from an angle, and it's harmlessly into the side netting.
87'

Medel is replaced by Aron Gunnarson for Cardiff.
Cardiff City Substitution
86'
What a save! Marshall seems to be going the other way as Long heads Berahino's cross back across him - but somehow arches back and tips wide. Crucial moment.
85'
Some patient passing again by West Brom, before Noone goes in bravely again to clear Jones' cross.
83'
The hosts have two men down - Noone and Theophile-Catherine - after both slid in to ensure Sinclair couldn't meet a low Long cross. Both seem ok now.
Cardiff City Substitution
82'

First Cardiff change - a like for like one as Nicky Maynard replaces the tireless Fraizer Campbell.
81'
Long, who is still having to drop deep to be involved, is fouled by Turner. Brunt's ball is much better - McAuley heads it across at the back post, and somehow it evades everyone before dribbling out.
80'
Brunt's corner - not his first poor delivery of the day - is easy for Marshall.
80'
Cardiff dropping deeper now, and the pattern for this game's end stages may have been set. West Brom work the ball well down the right, and Medel has to head a Jones cross behind.
77'
First sighting of Berahino, but his shot - just deflected off Caulker, although this isn't spotted - floats over.
77'
Just seen a replay of that Olsson/Odemwingie penalty shout from earlier. The Swede certainly pulled the striker's shirt - both sides should have had a pen within a minute or so of each other.
76'
Berahino and Sinclair will, presumably, adopt wide attacking roles in support of Long. West Brom desperate to avoid a fourth consecutive defeat here, but aren't showing much.
West Bromwich Albion Substitution
74'
Chance for Mutch - does very well to cut inside Brunt and manoeuvre onto his left foot, but fires just over from 18 yards.
74'
Former Swansea player Sinclair isn't allowed to forget the fact as he jogs on.
74'

West Brom double substitution - and, despite that penalty shout, it's really needed. Scott Sinclair and Saido Berahino replace Amalfitano and Yacob.
West Bromwich Albion Substitution
71'
Noone crosses into the stand, but his effort and application really can't be criticised today.
70'
Penalty appeal for West Brom, and they're hard done by - Turner seems to clumsily bundle into Long as the two contest a ball into the box, and the hosts seem to have struck it a little lucky.
69'
Mulumbu takes aim again and it's deflected not far wide. Theophile-Catherine heads the corner clear.
68'
Two good chances for Cardiff. Caulker's header from a Whittingham corner hits Odemwingiwe, who seems to be pulled back by Olsson as he tries to convert, and then Mutch - who might not realise he is onside - heads the second ball tamely at Myhill.
68'
Noone has been Cardiff's biggest threat and deserves big credit there. Just 30 seconds earlier, he'd put in another ball that Amalfitano had huge trouble in clearing. This one was even better, and found Whittingham leaping high to convert.
67'
Peter Whittingham appears at the back post to glance home a superb header from yet another Noone cross. It's a superb - and quite unlikely - finish from the winger, and a vital goal for the home side. 1-0.
65'

GOAL! 1-0 CARDIFF!
64'
Odemwingie loses out to Olsson on the edge of the box. Barely any space in central areas here.
63'

Mutch goes in the book for a nasty tap on the back of Amalfitanio's leg. Feels as if the Frenchman is being targetted slightly at the moment.
62'
The brollies are up in the crowd, but what we've seen on the pitch is rather more arid.
61'
Long heads a throw-in cleverly to the onrushing Sessegnon. It sits up nicely but his half-volley, 25 yards out, is well over.
59'
Mutch fouls Amalfitano, who is far livelier this half. Brunt's attempt at a clever free kick fails, and Olsson is offside.
57'
Straight down the other end, and Whittingham's corner is headed away. Theophile-Catherine continues the aerial assault and, with Myhill having gone walkabout, Olsson clears the danger. Bit more tempo about this now.
56'
Real chance for West Brom. Amalfitano cuts back to Yacob, who scuffs his shot. It falls to McAuley just six yards out, and his shot is blocked on the line by a combination of Marshall and Medel.
56'
Corner to West Brom - Amalfitano winning it off Taylor.
55'
Long gamely gives chase to a long ball and, with Marshall on his line, Turner has to hook away.
54'
There's a swirling wind as well as pouring rain - might as well keep those crosses hanging in....
53'
The corner ends up being cleared to Medel, who crosses deep, and Myhill has to briefly flirt with carrying the ball over his own line.
52'
And at the other end, a dangrous Noone cross is glanced wide of his own goal by McAuley.
52'
Long gets his first sight of goal, but Caulker deflects it away.
51'

Bad tackle by Jones on Medel, who is as 'involved' as ever. Yellow card.
50'
A promising build up from the home side ends with Mutch crossing out of play. This game really needs a touch of quality.
49'
Odemwingie lashes over from the edge of the box after West Brom, not for the first time, don't really deal with a deep ball in.
47'
Whittingham goes for goal, but there's no power and it's a comfortable claim for Myhill.
47'
Another early Cardiff free kick, in a good, central area, as Yacob fouls Campbell clumsily.
46'
We're underway for the second half - West Brom kick us off. Let's hope for slightly better fare. The rain is driving down in Cardiff, which could add a bit of a curveball.
45+1
And that's half time, 0-0 here. Barely a chance to speak of really, though the real intent has come from Cardiff - who have rained in cross after cross without really causing too many problems. This one can - will, surely - get better...
45+1'
One minute of added time to be played, which is honestly no bad thing.
45'
Noone cajoles the ball forwards again and scoops a cross to the far post, which Myhill stretches well to take under pressure.
44'
Just the one shot on target so far - Odemwingie's early free kick.
43'
Odemwingie gets on a run for the first time, really, and puts a great ball in that only just evades Campbell. It bounces awkwardly off Olsson but the visitors survive.
42'
A long throw by Theophile-Catherine rears up and bounces straight over Campbell, who hasn't really had a sniff yet.
40'
That's really been the sum of the game so far. Crosses and set pieces that have been well - but fairly comfortably in most instances - defended. Might be one moment of quality that wins this.
39'
The set piece is headed high up min the air, but Odemwingie has his arm across Myhill and a foul is given.
39'
Poor touch from McAuley under absolutely no pressure - cheap corner given away...
38'
The corner, from Amalfitano, was even better - but nobody could get on the end of it. Jones' delivery, moments later, is straight at Marshall.
37'
It's a really good delivery, and Caulker heads out for a corner at the back stick.
36'

Yellow card for Medel after a foul on Amalfitano. Another set-piece chance for Brunt here.
36'
Good cross from Brunt after a short free kick, and it finds Amalfitano at the back post - but his effort hits his own man, Claudio Yacob.
35'
Mutch finds an offside Odemwingie. Cardiff are playing what football there is, though. Long very isolated for West Brom - we've barely seen Sessegnon or Amalfitano.
33'
Jones takes a pass from Amalfitano and drives into the area, but Medel gets a vital foot in.
32'
Really poor from Whittingham though - high and wide from a decent position on the left.
31'
Theophile-Catherine, who does look a good player, impressively outmuscles Mulumbu. Then McAuley bundles Campbell over - another dangerous free kick...
30'
Cardiff starting to rain the crosses in now, and Theophile-Catherine's ball is smuggled away by Olsson.
29'
From Whittingham's second flag kick, Turner gets a flick and Caulker, with the ball just behind him, can't quite wrap around it enough to put it inside the post. A half-chance though.
28'
Not so cagey from Noone, though, who dribbles down the right to float in a superb ball that Jones nods away for a corner. It's headed out for another by McAuley.
27'
A Whittingham cross from the left has a faint whiff of danger about it, but goes over Campbell. This is tentative fare.
26'
Long does well to win a throw in from Noone, who is really putting the miles in on his first top-flight start.
25'
Noone cuts in again, but Brunt blocks well. Cardiff stay on the front foot until Odemwingie is flagged offside.
24'
Couple of nifty stepovers from Mutch, whose effort is blocked, before Theophile-Catherine crosses into Myhill's arms.
22'
Caulker sweeps up very nicely from Ridgewell's ball down the line, backheeling to Theophile-Catherine.
21'
But Noone, who is very busy, cuts in from the right and puts a left-footed cross in that isn't a million miles away from Campbell.
21'
Cardiff have lost their vim, really. West Brom look that bit quicker to the ball, without committing enough men forward to look a major threat.
19'
Keystone cops stuff from Cardiff as Marshall and Turner suffer a communication lapse, the goalkeeper having to half-clear. It comes back in and Taylor has to intervene, Marshall pouncing upon the ball.
18'
Mulumbu finds Long in space, but an optimistic 25-yarder smacks against Turner.
17'
Scrappy stuff at the moment. Balls are being won back well, but just as easily lost again. Mulumbu, in particular, doing both.
15'
Better from West Brom, this, but Mulumbu overhits a through ball to Sessegnon and Turner mops up.
15'
Deep cross by Brunt and McAuley loops a header over, but he's marginally offside.
14'
Jones seems to have a problem with a contact lens, and a small delay results. You wouldn't miss much if you blinked here, though.
13'
You suspect that success today might hinge on which side gets the best support to its striker. Campbell and Long are both hardworking, but neither is the most physically imposing. They need team-mates to get forward, and around them, quickly.
12'
It's headed away by Mutch and Cardiff clear. It's worked to Campbell on the left, and he forces Jones to concede a throw-in.
11'
West Brom win their first corner, as Turner deflects Jones' clipped ball out.
10'
Cardiff have certainly bossed the first ten minutes, but after their opening flurry we've settled into a pattern of offsides and niggly fouls. Might be more where that came from today.
9'
Noone, having worked into a decent position, is forced back and loses the ball. He subsequently fouls Sessegnon, probably from frustration.
8'
David Marshall overhits the resulting deep free kick, and it glides out for a goal kick.
7'
Amalfitano is late on Gary Medel. West Brom yet to show anything here.
6'
Noone puts a low ball in, but Odemwingie is penalised for handball. Cardiff have started at full throttle.
5'
Odemwingie - currently operating on the right - is being jeered by the visiting fans with every touch.
4'
Great start by Cardiff, this. Theophile-Catherine's shot is blocked from the flag kick, and then Gary Medel fires not too far over.
3'
Odemwingie whips it in - Boaz Myhill shovels away well for a corner.
2'
An early Cardiff corner is cleared, but West Brom can't get out properly - and Brunt fouls Jordon Mutch 20 yards out.
1'
But it's quickly taken and Brunt is alert to clear.
1'
Early free kick for the hosts as McAuley bundles Campbell over in a dangerous area...
17:51
What a big win for the Bluebirds. Huge for them and Malky Mackay - but there'll be concern for West Brom, who didn't really get going today and have now lost four on the trot. Thanks for joining me and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
0'
Huddles and fist pumps done, we're underway! Cardiff kick us off.
14:58
You'd expect Odemwingie to start in a wide left position for the hosts, Craig Noone patrolling the other flank. Fraizer Campbell will plough a lone furrow down the middle - but with, you suspect - more support than he received last week.
14:56
And here they are. Howard Webb is your referee today, and he leads the teams out into the Cardiff City Stadium...
14:53
Kick off is just minutes away. If you'd like to interact during this afternoon's dogfight, by all means tweet me on @NickAmes82
14:50
Head to head, this fixture certainly comes down on West Brom's side. The Baggies have won 22 of 52 meetings, Cardiff having taken the spoils on 16 occasions. They've drawn 14 times.
14:49
These two haven't faced each other in the league since February 16, 2010, when they drew 1-1 here in the Championship. Four players in today's lineups were playing that day: David Marshall and Peter Whittingham for Cardiff; Jonas Olsson and Chris Brunt for West Brom.
14:42
Only positive vibes from Baggies boss Steve Clarke, though. “It’s too early to say it’s a relegation dogfight," he opines. “We’re down there and stuck down there – but it’s too early in the season to say that."
14:37
West Brom, though....it's something of a surprise to see them flirting with the drop zone. Whenever these eyes have watched them this term, they've looked inventive and lively with a fair amount of steel. That defeat to Norwich was pretty costly though, coming after more forgivable setbacks at Newcastle and against Manchester City - while their performance of two halves in the 2-2 draw with Aston Villa on November 25 perhaps summed up their season best of all.
14:33
Mackay does, at least, have Peter Odemwingie to call upon this afternoon, and he's been full of praise for the WBA old boy. "The boy I have met and I have here is articulate, he speaks four or five different languages, he is intelligent, he has smiled since the day he arrived here and he is very polite too," says Malky. "He has been a joy to work with and he wants to do the best he can for the club, so it has been a really good one for us."
14:29
I said this last week after 'enjoying' Cardiff's performance at Palace, and will sing a similar song today: Malky Mackay is under a fair bit of pressure now. It's imperative that the Bluebirds start winning their home games, because...well....check this for their next seven away fixtures: Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City, Man Utd, Swansea, Spurs, Everton. Ouch.
14:25
The visitors, meanwhile, make a couple of tweaks. Jonas Olsson is back at the heart of the defence, replacing Diego Lugano, while Shane Long is back in the starting 11 in place of the injured Victor Anichebe. Anyone wanting to see old stagers Nicolas Anelka (WBA) and Craig Bellamy (Cardiff) will be disappointed, by the way - neither is quite back from injury yet.
14:22
So what are we dealing with here? Three changes for Cardiff, and none of them especially surprising. Fit-again Andrew Taylor replaces the inexperienced Declan John at left back, for starters. Winger Craig Noone and forward Peter Odemwingie - facing his old club, of course - also come in for Kim Bo-Kyung and Don Cowie. Certainly a more expansive look about this selection than we saw in their two recent away games.
14:20
TEAMS: Cardiff City: Marshall; Theophile-Catherine, Turner, Caulker, Taylor; Whittingham, Medel, Mutch, Noone, Odemwingie; Campbell... Subs: Lewis, Hudson, Cornelius, Kim, Gunnarsson, Cowie, Maynard. /// West Bromwich Albion: Myhill; Jones, McAuley, Olsson, Ridgewell; Mulumbu, Yacob; Amalfitano, Sessegnon, Brunt; Long... Subs: Daniels, Gera, Vydra, Morrison, Berahino, Lugano, Sinclair.
14:15
Good afternoon everyone. You're joining me for a clash of the moveable objects this afternoon, and a big one it is too. Hosts Cardiff have won just once in their last nine, and come into this one on the back of a grim 2-0 defeat at Crystal Palace. West Brom had their own horror show last week, going down at home to Norwich by the same score, and have lost their last three. 16th plays 15th, and if either team loses it could find itself plunged into the relegation zone.
