90+6'
The referee takes mercy on our hearts and whistles for full-time. What a ridiculous game.
90+5'
Drogba wins a free kick in the centre circle. That's pretty much it, you'd think, in any other game.
90+3'
Cahill and Terry are both down injured. Cahill's injured his left ankle, and Terry has taken a blow to the head.
90+2'
Eto'o's shot is blocked by Terry. It's over for a corner. Nothing comes from it.
90'

GOAL! Everton 3-6 Chelsea. Mikel robs a loose pass from Besic, strides forward and sends a back heel left for Costa. His stepover puts Distin on the floor, and he then fires into the corner.

89'

Fabregas is subbed off in place of Drogba.
Chelsea Substitution
88'
Barry finds Baines on the left. And he's tackled.
87'
Ramires is down, clutching his knee. Naismith went straight through him, standing on his foot.
86'
Mirallas has a cross cleared, and Chelsea start to attack, bt Ramires plays one of the world's worst passes and Distin intercepts.
85'
There haven't been any goals for a few minutes.
Chelsea Substitution
82'

Luis is being replaced by Luis as Mourinho tries to improve his side's defence.
81'
Mirallas hits the bar! He volleys a shot towards goal and there's a great save from Courtois. Fabregas is booked for hacking Eto'o by the bar.

Terry gets to a cross just ahead of Lukaku to concede a corner. There's a cross on the left but it's headed away by Ramires.

GOAL! Everton 3-5 Chelsea. Ramires scores. Hazard lingers outside the box, gives the ball to Ramires. He plays a one-two with Matic towards the six yard box and he pokes a shot past Howard.

GOAL! Everton 3-4 Chelsea. Eto'o scores on his debut. Baines curls a free kick into the box to Eto'o, just inside the box, and he sends in a brilliant header into the corner.

Howard is booked for reacting angrily to Costa's celebration. He grabs him by the scruff of the neck. I wonder what happened there. Costa seems like a provocative man.

GOAL! Everton 1-3 Chelsea. Coleman scores an own goal. Hazard kills the ball on the left, and Chelsea play keep ball in Everton's half. He drives towards the byline, skips past a couple of challenges brilliantly and his cross is turned past the 'keeper by Seamus Coleman.
65'
The free kick hits the wall from Mirallas' effort.

Ramires clips Naismith as he starts a run towards goal, and is booked for the challenge. Everton have a free kick to the left, 25 yards out.
63'
Naismith flicks up a long ball towards Lukaku to chase, and Cahill gets in with a desperate lunge just in time.
62'
Everton are keeping the ball well, Chelsea are dropping deep, which might well be enough.
60'
Distin, still up from a corner, chases a long ball but can't keep it in. They look slightly more likely to equalise than Chelsea do to extend their lead.
59'
Coleman wins a free kick from Azpilicueta after he drove inside towards goal. Baines takes, curling the ball in and headed behind for a corner.
58'
Costa slides in Ivanovic down the right, but he can't get his shot on target from a tight angle. It's well wide.
56'

Coleman has riled Costa into another reaction, and Costa is booked. Seconds later Costa wins a free kick from Coleman.

55'
Another argument now, this time it's Diego Costa's turn. He and Coleman tangled and had some pathetic exchanges of pushes.
54'
Costa has another shot, stealing in on the corner of the six yard box, but he can only aim at the near post.
53'
Diego Costa is slipped through down the left, Distin playing him onside, and Costa tries to slip the ball around Howard, who sticks out a leg for a great save.
51'
Mirallas wins a foul from Matic on the left of the pitch, about 50 yards from goal. Baines will send in the cross, with that haircut. He finds Distin, but he heads wide.
49'
Everton take a short corner, Mirallas chips in a cross but Ivanovic clears, and is then clumped by Jagielka's high foot.
48'
Everton have seen most of the ball so far. The pressure is growing.

The same guy that hacked Garry Cook and Ian Botham just got Falcao.

46'
The second half gets underway. No goals conceded by Everton so far, but after an Everton break Lukaku blasts a shot miles over.
45+2'
That's half-time. See you in 15 minutes.
45'

GOAL! Everton 1-2 Chelsea. Mirallas scores. Coleman is left free on the right, he clips a cross inside, and Mirallas gets ahead of his marker, glancing the ball into the far side of the goal.
Everton Goal

Header - Bottom Left

43'
Costa thinks he's onside - and is - after Phil Jagielka is dispossessed by Fabregas who sets him up for the run on goal. He rounds the keeper, but the whistle blows, and sends a shot onto the post.
42'
McCarthy hits a deep ball for Lukaku, but he can't bring it down. Chelsea have a goal kick.
40'
Lukaku thinks he's got a run on goal from Naismith's through ball, but he's a couple of yards offside.
39
Coleman heads away Ramires' cross. If Everton hadn't conceded two goals in th first three minutes they could be pleased with this.
38'
Coleman's cross is underhit and Chelsea win possession. They're looking to start another attack.
36'
McGeady's cross is deflected into the air, which allows Courtois to claim it easily.
35'
Mirallas tries to curl a shot into the top corner, but he doesn't catch it quite right, and it's too close to Courtois.
33'
Mirallas and Fabregas come together again, but they both keep their cool this time.
30'
Willian curls in a cross that Baines clears, Matic finds Fabregas, who strides across the box and has a shot deflected behind by Distin. It had wrong-footed Howard, but was just a couple of yards wide.
29'
Fabregas and Mirallas are having a discussion of their opinions after a few rash tackles go in, but they're both friends now. Mirallas stepped on his hand when he was down, but it's probably an accident.
27'
McGeady has room for a shot on the edge of the box. It's low, and going well wide, but Ivanovic sticks out a leg to concede a corner.
25'
Howard claims a deep, curling cross at the back post from Fabregas.
23'
Gareth Barry lunges straight through Willian, and Chelsea have a free kick 30 yards out. He escapes a booking.
21'
Everton are pressing Chelsea on the right wing now, and Hazard is struggling to offer enough defensive assistance.
20'
Mirallas makes up ground on the left, Everton then shift the ball to the right win for Coleman, he drags the ball back to Naismith from the byline, but his shot is blocked. A good chance for Everton.
18'
Howard's claim for the ball earlier in the game was actually, it seems, outside the box. So the start could have been even worse for Everton.
17'
Naismith receives the ball 25 yards out, he swivels onto his left and sends a shot just wide of the goal.
16'

GOAL! NOT A GOAL! McGeady crosses for Lukaku, who thunders a header against the post, it bounces onto Distin who then slides the ball into the net. But he was a fraction offside.
15'
Jagielka scuffs a backpass to Howard under pressure from Costa, but Everton clear. Coleman wins a corner on the right wing with a cross.
14'
How do you break Chelsea down now? It's not possible, is it?

Last week Everton forgot how to see out a game. This time they've forgotten how to start one. Chelsea not the team to give an inch to.

12'
Ramires strides forward but Everton win the ball back and break, and now Chelsea win it back and break. Costa finds Fabregas, who has his shot from distance blocked on the edge of the box.
11'
Everton are seeing plenty of the ball now. You'd imagine Mourinho doesn't give a solitary one.
10'
Azpilicueta heads a deflected pass back to the 'keeper, and now Fabregas is down injured. Chelsea have a free kick in their own half.
8'
Fabregas curls a brilliant bal over the top for Costa to chase, and Howard gets to the very edge of his box to claim.
6'
The offside decision was incorrect, though. It was Fabregas who sent the ball behind.
5'
Lukaku's offside, bringing the first Everton attack to a close.
3'

GOAL! Everton 0-2 Chelsea. Ivanovic scores. Chelsea are champions. Ramires scoops the ball to Costa, he sends the ball back inside to Ramires, he slips the ball a couple of yards forward to Ivanovic, marginally offside, and he drags the ball past Howard.
Chelsea Goal

Right Footed - Bottom Left

1'
GOAL! Everton 0-1 Chelsea. Costa scores. The game gets underway with Chelsea keeping the ball in defence and midfield. They come forward, Jagielka steps up to play offside, but Fabregas sends a pass forward for Costa to angle his run towards, played on by Baines, and he sends a low shot past Howard.

Kick off is in five minutes. I'm going to predict a 2-1 victory for Everton. You can get in touch with me on Twitter to let me know your thoughts on the game at @lxndrnthrtn.

This is what Mourinho had to say about Costa's fitness earlier in the week, so there's a chance he might not make the full 90 minutes: "He is a big doubt, let's see. Everyone else is fit. We are trying everything for him to play [on Saturday]. He didn't train for the last two days. Today is the last day. We have to try and see if the reaction is positive. If the reaction is positive, we take him and select him on the bench."

@lxndrnthrtn I am very curious whether Mourinho can keep Lukaku quiet, would go some way to silencing his critics for selling him. #CFCvEVE

17:15
Roberto Martinez had this to say on getting Samuel Eto'o into the side today: "It is difficult, I tried to have that conversation and, realistically, I would have liked him to have 10 or 11 sessions before we put him in a competitive environment but I quite quickly learned that I was wasting my time; he wants to be helpful to the team straight away and he wants to be involved. He is working [on Thursday] and everything will go down to what condition he has over the next two or three days to make that decision. He arrives at a good time with the international break and that will speed up his adaptation period."

The big news in this match is that Diego Costa is fit, having recovered from a hamstring injury. The other striker news for Chelsea is that they have apparently activated the clause in Loic Remy's contract to sign the forward. You can read more about that in the link.

Manchester United endured a grim result earlier, drawing 0-0 away to Burnley. However, I don't think that's reason to panic yet. You can read my blog before kick off (or after) on the link below.
