90+3'
There goes the final whistle! A 3-0 win for Manchester City. All too easy in the end for the visiting side.
Manchester City Goal

Right Footed - Bottom Left

89'
We are into three minutes of time added on.
88'
Yaya Toure scores his eighth Premier League goal of 2014. Only Daniel Sturridge (10) and Luis Suarez (9) have scored more PL goals in this calendar year.
87'

GOAL! Toure drives the ball low and hard into the corner of the net. Ball breaks to him off Jones from the Milner cross. A 3-0 lead for City. Game over.
86'
The City fans not going on anywhere. A professional job by City all night long. Three points fastened down.
85'
Alvaro Negredo coms on for Man City. He has failed to score in five Premier League matches. He has not gone six league matches without a goal since January to March 2012 during his time at Sevilla in La Liga.
84'
Zabaleta seemed to be pushed to the deck by Valencia. But would have been soft to give that one.
83'
A few of the United fans begin to head for the exit door. This match surely all over unless City stage a massive collapse here.
82'
Zabaleta hammers the ball off Rooney. That is a goalkick to City that Hart will launch long.
81'
Mata with a free-kick from the other side, but City collect and look to break. Ferdinand doing well to block the shot at goal by Negredo.
80'
Hart has been a competent figure tonight for City. Hasn't been over worked, but has dealt with all of United's attacks.
79'
Plenty of pace on the delivery by Rooney, but Hart equal to the task in punching out. Evra almost in, but solid from the England goalkeeper.
Manchester City Substitution
78'
Evra bundled to the deck out wide by Zabaleta. Rooney will throw this into the area.
77'
Manchester United have lost all four north west derbies in the Premier League this season. Heading for a fifth defeat tonight.
Manchester United Substitution
76'

And another change coming for the visiting team as Dzeko departs the action to be replaced by Alvaro Negredo.
75'
Rooney seems to be playing deeper and deeper in this match. City set to close the gap on Chelsea to three points with two games in hand.
74'
City with plenty of bodies back. United going to have to break down this visiting defence if they are going to take anything from the night.
Manchester City Substitution
73'

Welbeck departs to be replaced by Javier Hernandez for United.
72'
Hart knocks the ball long from his own box. United continue to keep it in midfield.
71'

Off goes Nasri for City, and on comes James Milner for the visiting side.
70'
Hart is going to hammer this clearance long. David Moyes can only look on, and study another defeat against one of the league's top four sides.
69'
Rafael with the cross towards Welbeck. Fine backheel, but superb stop by Hart to stand tall. United almost handed a lifeline.
68'
Half-chance for Welbeck. Turns in the City box before drilling a shot at the Joe Hart. Easy save in the end for him.
Manchester City Substitution
67'
Fernandinho arrives to slam a shot miles over the bar from 22 yards. Plenty of power, but no direction.
66'

Javi Garcia arrives to replace Jesus Navas. And on we go. City holding this 2-0 lead.
Manchester United Substitution
65'
Rafael sends Silva crashing to the deck out wide. There is going to be a change coming here for the visitors.
64'

Fellaini rises to head wide of goal before he departs the action to be replaced by Antonio Valencia.
63'
Valencia finally getting ready to come in on here from the United technical area.
62'
Fellaini with a late challenge. City can thrown a free-kick into the home side's area with Nasri standing over it.
61'
Doesn't look like United are going to find a way. Not sure they have the belief to grab a goal. City utterly dominant, and United devoid of pace.
60'
Ferdinand knocks the ball behind the United goal from the Navas ball. City continue to attack the home goal with real purpose.
59'
Edin Dzeko is only the second visiting player to score two goals in a Premier League match at Old Trafford more than once, after Steven Gerrard. Dzeko is the first player to do it without scoring a penalty.
58'
Rafael races down a flank before throwing a cross straight out of play. Poor delivery.
57'
Steven Gerrard (5) is the only visiting player to score more Premier League goals at Old Trafford than Edin Dzeko (4). Darren Bent has also scored four PL goals away at Man United.
56'
United trail 2-0, and this match is officially over. Old Trafford pretty quiet. City surely on their way to three points.
Manchester City Goal

Right Footed - Top Right

55'

GOAL! Dzeko nudges the ball into the net from the Nasri corner. Fine volley. Ferdinand well off the pace in trying to mark the forward.
54'
Hart scoops up the ball seconds later. Jones then with a tremendous tackle on Dzeko as he careered into the United area.
53'
Demichelis with the clearance from the Rooney cross. Solid piece of defending by the big Argentina central defender.
52'
Kompany rises above Fellaini from the corner. Ball comes to Fernandinho, but he can't direct the ball on goal with his reaction header. How did that not go in?
51'
Navas can't get away from Evra, but he has earned City a corner that is going to be swung in by Nasri.
50'
Zabaleta with the cross into the middle. Headed clear by Rafael for the home side. Decent spot of defending in the end by United.
49'
Man City have kept four consecutive Premier League clean sheets. They have never gone five Premier League matches in a row without conceding a goal. It is nearly 99 years since they kept five consecutive top flight clean sheets (March to April 1915).
48'
Nasri with the corner for City, but nodded wide by Dzeko. Rose well, but couldn't direct the ball towards goal.
47'

Shinji Kagawa arrives for United to replace Cleverley. City on the attack here again at the outset of the second period.
46'
United get the second half off and running.
Manchester United Substitution
45+3'
There goes the whistle for the break. A 1-0 lead for Manchester City against United.

45+1'

Fernandinho has been booked for going in late on Rooney. Can't complain about that one.
44'
We are into three minutes of time added on in the first period.
43'
Rafael can't keep the ball in play as he scampers down a flank. He has been one of the better players for United in this first half.
42'
Hart comes to punch clear the Rooney corner before Evra is penalised for a late challenge on Zabaleta.
41'
The United supporters get behind their side as Demichelis tackles Welbeck for the concession of a corner here.
40'
Rooney with the ball to the back post looking for Fellaini. Clichy does well to win it, but you have to wonder why Fellaini isn't attacking that cross?
39'
Yaya Toure with the ball across the face of goal, but no takers on hand to finish.
38'
All three of Edin Dzeko's Premier League goals against Man United have been scored at Old Trafford. Steven Gerrard (5) and Darren Bent (4) are the only visiting players to score more than three PL goals at Old Trafford.
37'
Mata lifts the ball over the bar from 15 yards after Rooney had failed to connect with the Rafael cross. Great chance. Not taken. And on we go here.
36'
Evra with a floated cross looking for Welbeck, but Hart quickly off his line to collect the high ball.
35'
The United supporters making themselves heard. Not sure there is going to be any quick recovery, but they will hope to get to half-time in touch.
34'
Mata with a cross after a period of passing football, but the ball a bit of a waste as he again can only find Hart with his intentions.
33'
A bit better by United to get on the ball. Not going anywhere with it before they surrender possession in the middle of the park.
32'
Welbeck picks up out wide. United then go backwards to retain possession. Rafael sees a cross blocked, but United pick up seconds later.
31'
Mata clips the ball straight out of play from out wide. Just lacked the direction from the United midfielder.
30'
Wayne Rooney has scored five goals in his last five games in all competitions against City. Looks like he might the man for United to turn to this evening.
Manchester United Yellow card

Man Utd

Man City

29'

Fellaini goes into the book for a late elbow on Zabaleta challenging for a loose ball. Again, fortunate to avoid a red for that. Looked pretty dismal.
28'
Only Gus Poyet has scored a quicker Premier League goal against Man United than Edin Dzeko this evening. Poyet's goal came for Chelsea in a 5-0 home win in October 1999.
27'
Rooney looking the most likely man for United, but he clips a ball straight into the arms of Hart under a spot of pressure by Fernandinho.
26'
Evra drives a ball over from out wide. Plenty of pace on the delivery, but Hart off his line to make a comfortable enough take.
25'
City with 67 percent possession. But United are playing on the break with limited success so far. Probably be happy to be only one goal behind.
24'
Fellaini almost opens up the City defence with Welbeck on the move, but Kompany well positioned to clear. Just some more joy for United here.
23'
Rooney sees his cross cut out after Mata had fed him. Chance for Fellaini, but his volley is straight into the arms of Hart. Real chance for United. Not snapped up.
22'
Rio Ferdinand not having his best evening against these City forwards. A lack of pace the main issue for him this evening.
21'
Hart punches rather than catch the Rooney cross before diving to stop a deflected Rooney effort seconds later.
20'
Breathless stuff. United getting a bit more joy against the slick-moving City lot. On we go with Evra seeing a cross blocked by Zabaleta. Corner to the home team.
19'
Rooney with a lovely ball to pick out Rooney. Welbeck cuts inside, but his shot at goal is blocked by Kompany who stands tall to make sure the shot doesn't do any damage.
18'
A timely clearance by Kompany after Welbeck had sent Mata scampering clear in the penalty area. United trying to come to their senses here.
17'
De Gea forced to come up with a timely stop to deny Dzeko the second goal. He is wondering what is happening here. Super stop by De Gea.
16'
Edin Dzeko (00:44) scores the quickest Premier League goal by a visiting team at Old Trafford. A Jonny Evans own goal (1:54) for Spurs was the previous fastest in Man United's 3-2 defeat in September 2012.
15'
A clash of shins between the pair before they get back on their feet. Welbeck a lucky boy not to be ordered off for that one.
14'

Welbeck is going to be booked here for a late sliding challenge on Zabaleta. A poor challenge by Welbeck, who is lucky not to be sent off here. Poor and rash.
13'
Only Jesus Navas (00:13) in the 6-0 home win against Spurs in November has scored a quicker PL goal for Man City this season than Edin Dzeko (00:44) this evening.
Manchester City Yellow card

Man City

12'

Kompany penalised for a late challenge on Welbeck. Clear foul, and that is going to be a booking for the City skipper.
11'
Dzeko with a ball across goal. Rafael with the tackle, but Silva almost in again. Then Navas threatening to race through. All City.
10'
Antonio Valencia getting ready to come on here for the home side. Changes need to be made otherwise United could be buried here early on.
9'
Rafeal then sees an attempted clearance blocked by Dzeko. City defending from the front. Such a hard-working performance from City. A change coming here for United.
8'
City almost in for another goal, but a fine block by Jones to deny Silva a shot at goal. This game threatening to run away from the home side.
7'
Rooney coming back to win the ball from Fernandinho. Ball eventually goes back to De Gea. United being pressed very, very deep here.
6'
Jesus Navas to Zabaleta. City just keeping the ball. Going backwards and forwards. Almost at will. All too easy against this home team.
5'
City just dominating this game so far from midfield. Edin Dzeko (00:44) scores the quickest Premier League Manchester derby goal, beating Wayne Rooney (01:55) in Man United's 4-3 home win in September 2009.
4'
Toure goes for goal from distance, but shot well wide in the end. United barely having time to clear their heads here. Dzeko up to 19 goals for the season in all competitions.
3'
Only 45 seconds, and United have the lead. Rafael was forced to make a brilliant tackle to win the ball from Silva as he prepared to pull the trigger. City well up for this one here.
2'

GOAL! Dzeko slams the ball into empty net after Nasri saw a shot come back off a post. A brilliant start from City. What a dream start to the evening. United all over the place in defence.
1'
Manchester City get the action off and running looking for a third straight victory over Manchester United. Plenty of rain around.

Patrice Evra is back in the side tonight and will make his 19th start against @MCFC. #mufc http://t.co/asYxUWPqzH

8 - Manchester City have lost none of their last eight Premier League away games, winning six and drawing two. Acclimatised.

Manchester City Goal

Right Footed - Top Center

19:40
Teams on their way out here. United in red, City in light blue. The noisy neighbours are at Old Trafford bidding to keep their title bid on song.
19:35
Yaya Toure starts for Man City. He has 16 Premier League goals this season. Man United's matchday squad of 18 tonight have 32 Premier League goals between them in this campaign. Man United have scored 18 goals in 14 Premier League home matches this season. Only four times have they scored fewer goals after 14 top flight home matches of a campaign (14 in 1972/73, 16 in 1970/71 and 1973/74, 17 in 1919/20).
19:30
Rio Ferdinand makes his 500th English league appearance (490 PL, 10 third tier). He made his English league debut in the Premier League for West Ham United in a 1-1 home draw against Sheffield Wednesday on 5 May 1996. Jamie Carragher (198) is the only defender to keep more Premier League clean sheets than Rio Ferdinand (189). John Terry has also kept 189 PL clean sheets.
19:25
Manuel Pellegrini: "I don't think we are favourites in any game. We are in a good moment but we are playing against a big team in their own stadium, so I don't think we are the favourites. Of course we always expect to go and win every game but, I repeat, just because Manchester United have had a difficult season it does not mean we are going to win. We have to go there and play a very good game."
19:20
David Moyes: "We want to try and perform better in the bigger games than what we have done. It will be important for us to show the level of what we have got. I think we have got the level and we are not as far away as many people would have us and I have no doubt it will improve. We want to show we are still in there fighting. We will do everything we can to win. We go out to win every game, not just the derby game. Obviously it means a lot more to the supporters and the city."
19:15
Vincent Kompany return from suspension to bolster Manchester City's back-line. Kompany sat out City's 5-0 thumping of Fulham at the Etihad Stadium after his sending-off in the previous week's Premier League win at Hull. City boss Manuel Pellegrini is still without hamstring injury victim Sergio Aguero while centre-back Matija Nastasic is also unavailable due to a knee complaint.
19:10
Chris Smalling (hamstring), Jonny Evans (calf) and Rio Ferdinand (back) sat out the 2-0 win at West Ham on Saturday, but Ferdinand starts. Winger Antonio Valencia (eye) is out but defender Nemanja Vidic (suspension) and striker Robin van Persie (knee) are definitely unavailable. There is no Ryan Giggs in the United squad despite his exceptional performance in the 3-0 win over Olympiacos last week in the Champions League.
