  • Live Commentary

    Time:90'
    • AC Milan
    • Juventus
    • 90+4 And that is indeed full time - stay here for the match report.
    • 90+2' And that could very well be that.
    • 90' Pepe in now in the book for a very poor challenge on Robinho. A silly, silly foul that has offered the hosts a free-kick from a dangerous looking area, but Thiago Silva fires straight at the wall.
    • 89' Both sides really going for this one now as the game draws to a close. Vidal's over exuberant attempts to track back on Van Bommel sees the midfielder shown a straight red card for a tackle from behind.
    • 87' Milan will be wondering how they have not won this considering how dominant they were for the first sixty or so minutes.
    • 85' Milan look for an immediate response but Robinho overplays and the chance has gone.
    • 83' But he doesn't have to wait long to find the back of the net. Pepe takes his time before digging out a teasing cross that Matri keeps his eye on before volleying past Abbiati from close range. 1-1.
    • 82' Matri gets another sight of the Milan goal but his stabbed effort from just inside the box is blocked.
    • 81' Milan are getting a little cynical here. First Mexes and then Muntari is in the referee's note book for late challenges.
    • 79' Juve have the ball in the back of the net through Matri but his celebrations are cut short by the flag of the assistant referee. The replay looks to show him as onside - maybe that evens out the ghost goal from the first forty five.
    • 77' Juve begin to utilise the wings to greater effect now and they are having the run of the game now with Pirlo pushing and probing, looking for gaps but whether it is through luck or judgement the home defence remains stout in the face of what is becoming an onslaught.
    • 75' Just about quarter of an hour to go here and this one is finely balanced.
    • 73' Juve begin to turn the screw, Arturo Vidal's right footed effort though is high and wide but the tide appears to be turning.
    • 72' Massimo Ambrosini replaces Urby Emanuelson for the home side.
    • 70' And that's Quagliarella last action of the game as he is replaced by Matri.
    • 70' But out of nowhere, Abbiati saves from point blank range. Juve work the ball left to Chiellini, who strokes the ball across the face of the goal but Quagliarella can't squeeze it past Abbiati from inside the six yard box.
    • 68' Juve, really struggling for any type of form now, are restricted to shots from distance - and they are wayward. This time it is Vucinic with the effort.
    • 67' There has been little in the shape of clear cut chances this half but Milan are still having the better of it. In fact, they look at their most potent when they close down on Juve, win the ball and break - this time, though, Robinho picks the wrong pass, electing to go for El Shaarawy to his left with Nocerino in the better position to his right.
    • 65' There is very little pressure on Milan ball and Mark Van Bommel is having the run of the midfield. Whenever the visitors do get close they invariably foul and Nocerino is hauled down this time.
    • 63' Juve continue to look dis-jointed and their unbeaten record is in real danger here. Substitute Vucinic looks to lead a charge forward but yet another loose pass costs the visitors possession.
    • 61' Milan come again and Muntari, one of the game's stand out players, is inches away from latching on to Robinho's through ball.
    • 59' Juve put together their first decent bit of passing this half but Lichtsteiner comes inside into a very congested midfield and although he gets his pass off it is all too tight in there and Milan clear. The Rossoneri, in contrast, utilise the space out wide to good effect and Abate wins a corner. Juve make a bit of a meal of it but they eventually clear their lines.
    • 57' Borriello makes way for Vucinic.
    • 55' Milan have a strong case for at the very least a free-kick and at best a penalty as he goes down under an outstretched leg. The referee, no more than a yard away, waves play on.
    • 53' Mark van Bommel puts the visitors under pressure again and forces a corner - Borriello with the loose pass and Buffon can't stop the corner. Poor delivery though.
    • 51' Robinho has been imperious and he breaks the offside trap before Chiellini just about recovers to make the clearance.
    • 50' Very, very close there from Milan. Robinho's ball splits the visitors defence but they step up just in time to catch the intended recipient offside.
    • 48' Stephan El Shaarawy replaces Alexandre Pato for Milan while Pepe is on for Estigarribia for the visitors.
    • 47' Both managers make a change-a-piece.
    • 46' We're back for the second half.
    • 45+2 And that's it for the first forty-five.
    • 45' The home side do well to slow the pace of the game down as the game moves to half time.
    • 43' Juve look again to go to half time at parity but the effort from distance just goes past the post.
    • 41' But Robinho alleviates some pressure having drawn a free-kick down the left. Thiago Silva is over it, left of the goal as he looks at it but he drags it straight into the wall. The ricochet lands right at the feet of Mark van Bommel, whose effort just skids past the post.
    • 39' If Milan, who have been dominant, don't go on to win from here all the talk will be of Muntari's ghost goal, and they're beginning to lose impetus.
    • 37' Juve settling again now and beginning to stretch their hosts.
    • 35' There continues to be very little pressure on Milan when in possession and Mexes strolls into midfield before looking to find Pato over the top. The ball is easily intercepted but it is a worrying precedent for Juve.
    • 33' Juve win a free-kick in dangerous territory down the right. Pirlo clips it over and Chiellini rises highest but his header is always rising.
    • 31' Pato and Robinho are linking up quite superbly as they again cause problems to the visitors' back line.
    • 29' Milan take the sting out of this one with a concerted period of keep ball before quickening the pace - Pato breaks the offside trap before getting the ball caught under his feet.
    • 27' Replays show that the Muntari effort crossed the line - and by some distance. Shocking decision.
    • 25' From the corner, Buffon makes three miraculous saves - the finest of which from a point blank Muntari header. Great stops. Juve break before Marchisio draws the save from Abbiati.
    • 23' We have a slight hiatus for an injury to Thiago Silva, who caught one in the unmentionables as he blocked for the home side. That block afforded Milan another break with Robinho showing some great feet before being winning a corner.
    • 21' Lichtsteiner continues to offer great width for the visitors as he earns the bianconeri a corner. Pirlo puts a little too much on it though and the hosts break.
    • 19' It is getting a little heated out there as either side exchanges a foul, which suits the home side. Muntari leads a break but is caught on the ball by a gaggle of Juve midfielders. Pirlo looks for Borriello but the margin for error is too small as the ball drifts out for a goal kick.
    • 17' Juve look for an immediate riposte but their early composure has deserted them as the hosts pick off aimless balls forward with ease.
    • 15' Milan take the lead!! And it is a double error from Bonucci, whose poor ball out of defence is intercepted by Robinho, who finds Nocerino. The midfielder takes aim but Buffon looks to have the measure of it before Bonucci intervenes again to deflect past the veteran. 1-0.
    • 13' Milan work the corner short but Buffon punches clear.
    • 12' Muntari steals the ball in midfield before feeding Robinho, whose left-footed effort from about 25 yards out has enough on it to concern Buffon but it catches the out stretched leg of a Juve player for a corner.
    • 11' This is a very open affair thus far and considering that Juve have the meanest defence in the league, Milan have caught a sight of their goal once or twice already.
    • 9' Muntari wraps his foot around the ball to find Pato at the back post but the ball arrives at the Brazilian slightly behind him, which hampers his volley - he catches it wrong and the ball scuttles across the box before a bianconeri defender hacks clear.
    • 8' Robinho brings a little fluidity to the Rossoneri's play with some quick feet and a cleverly disguised pass to Antonini, but he gets his technique all wrong and the chance - from just outside the box - has gone.
    • 6' Lichtsteiner is caught in possession by Abate following a superb switch of play from Quagliarella but Milan waste the opportunity of the break with an over-hit pass from Nocerino. The hosts are a little ragged thus far.
    • 5' Abbiati has to be alert again as he comes to punch a searching Lichtsteiner cross - another lovely find from Pirlo.
    • 3' AC Milan shape up in a familiar 4-3-1-2 with their visitors - who have started in the ascendancy - in their also usual 3-5-2. Pirlo has already taken a couple of lovely touches.
    • 1' Juve get us underway, and they look to get the ball forward straight from the off but there is too much on it and Abbiati collects.

    • 19:40 With only Luca Marrone sidelined for the bianconeri, Juventus – with a game in hand and only a point behind their hosts - go into this clash with more or less a full squad. Full team news to follow.
    • 19:35 Antonio Cassano remains out indefinitely following successful heart surgery, but Alexandre Pato and Matthieu Flamini resumed training this week. However, Alberto Aquilani, Phillip Mexes, Clarence Seedorf, Massimo Ambrosini and Allesandro Nesta all remain doubts.
    • 19:30 TEAM NEWS: Milan will be without top scorer and former Juventus forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic as his appeal to have his three-match suspension reduced to two - thus making him eligible to play against his former employers - was turned down.
    • 19:25 It is apt that this top-of-the-table clash pits the league's meanest defence - Juventus with a paltry 14 goals conceded - against the its most potent attack, Milan - foragers of 48 goals already this season, so we should be ripe for an enthralling evening's football.
    • 19:20 HEAD-TO-HEAD: This will be the 154th meeting between AC Milan and Juventus in Serie A: the bianconeri lead by 53 wins to 47 but AC Milan lead by three wins to two over the last three seasons – although the Old Lady won the last meeting at the San Siro in October 2010 (2-1).
    • 19:15 Milan have struggled in some of the big matches this season, though - having lost to rivals Inter and Napoli in Serie A and Barcelona in Europe. In contrast, Juve's problems have come against lesser opposition with draws against Cagliari, Parma and Siena costing them points already this season.
    • 19:10 Having subjected Milan to two of their six defeats in all competitions this season – the second of which a 2-1 win in the first leg of the Italian Cup semi-final at the San Siro earlier this month – the bianconeri are billed as slight favourites coming into this one, but will be wary of a Rossoneri side that have comfortably beaten third-placed Udinese and Arsenal since that defeat.
