    Time:90'
    • Catania
    • AS Roma
    • 90+5' Catania break for one last time, but there is no conviction in it and the referee blows for full time. No goals, Borini could have won it for Roma, but a fair result in the end.
    • 90+4' Another corner for Roma and this should be pretty much the last chance. In from Pjanic, Spolli partly clears and it's a poor effort from Gago.
    • 90+3' Rosi with a great first touch as he gets to the byline. He pulls the ball back and it's desperately cleared for a corner.
    • 90+2' Could Capello be coming to Roma? He's just resigned as England manager...not much to report here, looks like both teams have settled for the draw.
    • 90+1' There will be five minutes of stoppage time, and it's Catania looking most likely.
    • 90' Gomez sends the ball past Taddei and goes the other way, but is blocked off by the Brazilian and it's another yellow card.
    • 89' Roma fail to clear properly, but the ball out wide to Llama has slightly too much on it and he just about fails to get there.
    • 88' Barrientos curls in a beauty of a cross from Bergessio, but the Argentine just can't quite leap high enough to get on the end of it from five yards.
    • 87' Kosicky makes a fantastic save from Borini as Catania are cut open, he does well to claim the rebound as well!
    • 86' Llama out to Gomez who decides to go for goal from quite a tight angle and it's well wide.
    • 85' Lodi whips it in, the ball breaks to Llama outside the area and Llama with the outside of his foot curls one and Stekelenburg pulls off a decent save.
    • 84' Llama loses the ball in a promising position, but get it back . Gomez gets to the byline, but can only get the corner.
    • 83' Yellow card for Lodi for a little kickon Lamela...Roma get it quickly under way, but Gago commits the foul.
    • 82' It was possibly a foul, though he was very much looking for it, but it was also just outside the box.
    • 81' Juan goes up but is beaten to it. The cross is cleared, Spolli goes down in the box claiming he's fouled, but the ref doesn't agree.
    • 80' Spolli makes his way off the pitch hurt. He's back on though and immediately sets up a counter with a nice pass to Almiron...
    • 79' Gomez now commits the foul and Roma put it in the box. Cleared by Almiron, but he's hurt in the process. Pjanic is yellow carded for dissent in the ensuing little tiff.
    • 78' Barrientos hits a wall of Roma defenders, and tries to keep hold of the ball, commiting the foul in the process.
    • 77' Llama with an outswinger, but it's poorly underhit and Roma clear with ease.
    • 76' Catania have the throw in , but Juan is patrolling his area well and clears. Almiron turns in the box and wins the corner...
    • 74' Rosi flights the ball in and it's attacked by Juan who hits it back across goal. Borini flings himself at it, but he's marginally offside.
    • 73' Roma have the corner and it looks as if Heinze is caught, but nothing given.
    • 72' Not a lot of threat from Roma so far, you get the sense they'd be happy with a draw here. Juan plays a poor ball over the top that nearly causes trouble only because the keeper waits to pick it up as it creeps into the area.
    • 71' Good play by Rosi down the right as he cleverly pulls the ball back. Nothing comes of it though, but Roma still have tha ball.
    • 70' Llama crosses low into the box, gets it back then makes a complete hash of the next one as he slices it straight out for a goal kick.
    • 68' The ball breaks to Almiron in the box and he slides in, hitting to the near post...it almost creeps in but just wide!
    • 67' Surprisingly the turf looks perfect. Gomez commits the foul, but Roma make a mess of it...
    • 66' The match is restarted with a throw in for Catania - just as it was ended by the referee.
    • - So it's currently 1-1 with just 24 minutes left to play. It was called off in what were ludicrously bad conditions, the ball barely moving along the rain sodden turf. Just five minutes to go until KO...
    • - Kick-off is set for 7pm UK time - we'll see you then.
    • - Hello, everybody - we sincerely hope you've not been sat there for the last three and a half weeks waiting for this match to finish. The good news is that the game will be played to a conclusion today, and we'll have live comments of the final stages.
    • - REMAINDER OF MATCH TO BE PLAYED ON FEBRUARY 8TH
    • - Twitter updates by Italians, no less, suggest that the game has been suspended for today and will be replayed at a later date... and now we have official confirmation. THE GAME IS OFF.
    • - Taddei has swapped shirts in the tunnel with a double kiss - he's clearly given up on the match.
    • - Another inspection is imminent, but the rain is still coming down.
    • - Taddei is still hanging around in the tunnel, as are other players. Some fans have stayed.
    • - No official word as yet, but the fans are leaving and I can't see this match restarting.
    • 66' The ref does the bouncing thing again - and this time he will take the players off. It was just getting ridiculous.
    • 65' Alvarez tries to take a throw-in and the ball slips out of his hands backwards....
    • 64' And he decides to continue! Bully for him - I'm enjoying the action. But I personally think the game should be stopped... Follow me on Twitter @jonathansymcox
    • 63' The ref is testing the pitch to see if it is still playable, bouncing the ball in different areas.
    • 62' Bergessio with quick feet considering the mire of the penalty area and shooting for goal - blocked by an away defender. Good try.
    • 61' The set-piece is whipped in and headed away.
    • 60' Free-kick won on the left by Barrientos, who needs treatment after he is struck in the face by Pjanic.
    • 58' Roma change: Fabio Borini on for Totti.
    • 57' More direct from Roma with a long ball which almost gets Bojan in behind. They need to stop trying to play it short!
    • 56' Roma now in the final third after a Catania attack is just snuffed out. The danger should be cleared, but with the ball sticking in the water again Catania struggle to deal with it.
    • 55' Roma change: Fernando Gago on for De Rossi.
    • 54' Barrientos does brilliantly to get away from Kjaer on the left and bear down the byline... his cross is ahead of an arriving team-mate though.
    • 53' The whole pitch is basically a massive puddle. It is now detracting from the spectacle somewhat.
    • 52' Pablo Alvarez gets the ball out of his feet and strikes for goal from distance, just over. It had Stekelenburg worried.
    • 51' Juan, backtracking, tries to clear low across his own box for some reason - and the ball sticks in a big puddle! He manages to hack it away just in time.
    • 50' It is wasted in the end, fired into the wall.
    • 50' And he tells them again, issuing a yellow card to Almiron.
    • 49' He complains about the wall to the ref. For some time. And he tells them to get back.
    • 48' Miralem Pjanic draws a foul on the edge of the box from Barrientos. Great position for Totti to strike.
    • 47' There is so much surface water now, it is getting a bit ridiculous. There may be a chance of the game being abandoned if this rain keeps hammering down.
    • 46' The second half under way, with Roma now attacking the goal to our right.
    • 45+2' One apiece at the break. Follow me on Twitter @jonathansymcox
    • 45+1' One minute to be added on. Home keeper Campagnolo hacks clear under pressure.
    • 45' Gomez teasing with the Roma defenders on the left before going down the outside and shooting high across the face of goal. Very close again for Catania.
    • 43' The weather is actually adding to the game rather than ruining it - what seems straightforward is often very difficult for the players to pull off.
    • 42' Another chance! Bergessio receives the ball into feet on the left inside the box and just when he seems set to finish for 2-1, a Roma defender on the slide blocks for a corner! Great challenge.
    • 41' Superb chance for the home side! Barrientos through on the right and should shoot, but looks to square for Bergessio - who slides in the wet and cannot get to the ball.
    • 39' The match remains niggly. The home fans livid that Bergessio is penalised for a foul on Juan in midfield when the big Brazilian seemed to just fall over.
    • 38' By scoring a brace against Chievo, Totti is just one goal away from equalling Nordhal (210 goals for AC Milan) as the most prolific goal scorer for a single team in Serie A.
    • 36' The kick is short to Bojan, who wastes the opportunity. It should have been crossed there.
    • 35' Taddei taken out near the corner of the box, and Alessandro Potenza will be booked. Excellent position for Roma.
    • 34' Gomez tricky outside the box for Catania. He shoots for goal, blocked by Roma.
    • 33' Roma win a corner. Totti plays it short, receives the ball back and looks to chip into the box. In the end, Simplicio's poor pass gives possession away in a good position.
    • 32' High and wide from a Catania player inside the corner of the box.
    • 31' Rosi attacking inside the home box. He knocks the ball through the defenders in front of him and hits the deck - no penalty again, and this time it was a blatant dive.
    • 29' He takes his shirt off and swings it about in celebration - but thankfully he won't catch a chill as he has an undershirt on. He will get a yellow card, though.
    • 28' GOAL FOR ROMA! 1-1! Totti swings in a corner and there is Daniele De Rossi to head home from inside the six-yard box.
    • 26' Catania almost with a second, a cross from the left just too far ahead of anyone.
    • 25' There were a couple of players offside at the time of Barrientos's left-footed set-piece from the right, but the big defender was not one of them. Good goal.
    • 24' OPENING GOAL FOR CATANIA! Nicola Legrottaglie rises to head home inside the box following a Francesco Lodi free-kick!
    • 23' Great chance for Catania! An attack down the left leads to Bergessio picking up the ball free in the box - he beats Stekelenburg with his shot but Kjaer is on the line to block. He actually misses the kick, but the ball comes off his standing leg! Lucky.
    • 23' Sloppy pass out to a defender from home keeper Campagnolo, but he gets away with it. Two away attackers were bearing down.
    • 22' Catania rejected an offer for star striker Lopez from Fulham after it was deemed unacceptable. Catania reject Fulham bid for Lopez
    • 21' Roma calm it down at the back with Simon Kjaer keeping the ball.
    • 20' Simone Perrotta, who has already scored four goals against Catania in the top flight - more than against any other side - is on the bench tonight. He has also netted his only two braces in Serie A against the Sicilians.
    • 19' He will continue after a short spell off the pitch. Nicolas Spolli booked for the second tackle.
    • 18' Down goes Rosi again, this time in midfield, and he is hurt and needs treatment. Replays suggest that it should have been a penalty.
    • 17' Aleandro Rosi goes down under a challenge in the box and Roma want a penalty - but referee Paolo Tagliavento waves away their claims.
    • 16' Catania definitely the better team so far, with precise running forward on the counter.
    • 15' ... Gonzalo Bergessio is played in down the left and out comes away keeper Maarten Stekelenburg. He rounds him but runs out of room and slips over on the greasy surface as the ball runs out of play.
    • 14' Bojan probing from the left and tackled here. Here come the home side on the counter...
    • 13' Barrientos gets a head on the ball following a Catania cross from the left, but the Argentine's effort is just off target. There are a whole host of players from Argentina at the Sicilian club.
    • 12' Roma want to control the play, but are having to settle for keeping it tight at the back for now.
    • 11' Wasted cross from Roma. There is no let-up in the rain, which is causing problems for the players.
    • 9' Alejandro Gomez, again on the right, crosses this time for Catania. Again the danger is headed away by Roma.
    • 8' Away defender Juan slips and Sergio Almiron is free on the right byline. His cross is dangerous and just defended for a corner.
    • 7' Fábio Simplicio booked for hauling down Pablo Barrientos as Catania counter.
    • 6' Rodrigo Taddei cuts in from the right and threads a pass towards Francesco Totti in the middle, but it is cut out.
    • 5' Excellent football started by former Barcelona star Bojan - crisp, short passing. The ball goes through to Campagnolo in the end though.
    • 4' Lamela penalised for a foul as he turns with the ball. The conditions are making things very difficult.
    • 3' Roma are the only Serie A side to have lost all of the games in which they have been trailing (six).
    • 2' Roma wearing all white with Catania in traditional light blue and maroon.
    • 1' Early chance for Roma as Erik Lamela strikes first time, well held by Andrea Campagnolo in the Catania goal.
    • 1' Off we go, with Catania kicking from left to right in the first half.
    • 19:47 The delay is nothing to do with the weather, apparently. The two keepers had similar shirts on and so one of them has had to change it. And here come the players now.
    • 19:44 There is a delay, with the players remaining in the tunnel as kick-off time approaches.
    • 19:43 Vincenzo Montella: "There is no desire for revenge. If we are talking about a hunger to win, then that is certainly here in spades." /// Luis Enrique: "Is this [Erik] Lamela's week? In my opinion this is the team's week. I don't like talking about individual players. Erik is only 19 years old even if he has his head screwed on. We go to Sicily more confident, thanks to our victories. Catania are a good team and it won't be easy facing them."
    • 19:42 It has been absolutely hammering it down in Sicily - there is plenty of surface water on the pitch and it is still raining hard.
    • 19:40 By defeating Chievo last Sunday, Roma have recorded three consecutive wins in the league for the first time under Luis Enrique. They have not shared the points in their last eight league games on the road (four wins and as many defeats). Roma results and fixtures
    • 19:35 Catania have won just one of their last five games; 2-0 at home in the derby against Palermo. Prior to that win, Catania had lost two consecutive games at home against Chievo and Cagliari. Catania results and fixtures
    • 19:30 Roma’s five goals against Catania last season were scored all by players who have left the Giallorossi (Marco Borriello and Mirko Vucinic two apiece, Simone Loria one).
    • 19:29 Roma are without Pablo Osvaldo, Marco Cassetti and Nicolas Burdisso for the clash in Sicily, with Luis Enrique opting for Erik Lamela, Francesco Totti and Bojan Krkic in a three-pronged attack.
    • 19:29 Catania must cope without Giovanni Marchese and Marco Biagianti because of suspension, while Maxi Lopez is on the bench after transfer interest from several clubs in Serie A and Premier League side Fulham.
    • 19:25 Catania: Campagnolo; Potenza, Legrottaglie, Spolli, Alvarez; Izco, Lodi, Almiron; Barrientos, Bergessio, Gomez; subs: Kosicky, Bellusci, Ricchiuti, Delvecchio, Llama, Lopez, Catellani /// Roma: Stekelenburg; Rosi, Kjaer, Juan, Taddei; Simplicio, De Rossi, Pjanic; Lamela, Totti, Bojan; subs: Lobont, Heinze, José Ángel, Gago, Greco, Perrotta, Caprari, Borini
    • 19:20 Roma have scored in all of these last 14 games against the Sicilians (35 goals in total) but have picked up just two points from their last four visits to the Massimino in Serie A.
    • 19:15 Catania have won just two of their last 14 meetings against Roma in Serie A, with nine wins for the Giallorossi.
    • 19:10 Welcome to coverage of Catania versus Roma in Serie A. The sides are eighth and seventh respectively, but there is five points between them. Table
