    • - Juve were celebrating the title long before the whistle - Maicon's screamer was the cue for them. Wild scenes in Trieste.
    • 90+4 And that's it! Inter win 4-2 and Milan have to be content with second, Juventus are Serie A champions!
    • 90+3 Cambiasso just wide after a superb headed take and run clear!
    • 90+2 Taken short as Inter waste time.
    • 90+1 Inter have a free-kick a long way out but Lucio's effort is deflected wide for a corner.
    • 89' Three minutes added on.
    • 88' Cassano is caught offside - just.
    • 87' Zanetti with the tackle and pass to free Maicon, but what a hit from the Brazilian, who gives Stramaccioni a hug. And why not - what a goal.
    • 86' WHAT A GOAL BY MAICON! A glorious dipping shot from the right, about 30 yards out, into the top left! Amelia just watches it fly in!
    • 84' INTER SUB: Sneijder (correct spelling) is replaced by the retiring Cordoba.
    • 83' Amazing run from Zanetti, who is about 40 but runs the full length of the pitch at pace to win a corner. Just saw a replay - definite penalty for Milan there, the ref missed it.
    • 82' Cassano almost sends Ibra in but Maicon gets there first, catching Ibra and apologising.
    • 81' Ibra's cross appears to hit Cambiasso on the arm and - if it did - that was as much a pen as the last one!
    • 80' The roar from the Inter fans is echoed in Trieste as Juve's fans go wild.
    • 79' I'm not sure that should have been a penalty. Anyway, it was a handball and Milito for the hat-trick... roof of the net!
    • 78' PENALTY INTER! Handball by Nesta! He was very close to him when Pazzini made the header - his arms were up though. Harsh.
    • 77' MILAN SUB: Muntari goes off, pointing to the Milan badge, and Cassano replaces him.
    • 76' Muntari is down, off the ball, cramp maybe...
    • 75' Yellow card for Nocerino I think, the ref brandished it quite eagerly but not entirely sure who made the challenge.
    • 74' Bad news for Milan fans - Marco Borriello has scored a second for Juve. So Milan HAVE to score again. Well, I thought he scored but am told Canini scored a hilarious own-goal. Follow here!
    • 73' A good run forward from the left-back Nagatomo but his low cross is blocked and Amelia claims.
    • 72' Obi, who came on for the injured Guarin amidst the earlier forest fires, lays it off for SNEIJDER but straight at Amelia, he'll take those all day.
    • 71' The smoke has cleared up now as Robinho fails to turn Nagatomo after a cute through-ball from Ibra.
    • 70' Good save by Cesar after Abate cuts in from the right to power a rising drive, Samuel caught out by Nocerino's movement. Corner.
    • 69' Robinho gives it away but Inter can't break quickly enough.
    • 68' Boateng gets goal-side of Lucio but the Brazilian gets back to ease him off the ball. Goal kick.
    • 67' Robinho springs the offside trap but he blasts well over! Should have done better but good covering by Cambiasso.
    • 65' Muntari volleys wide after more good build-up play by Milan.
    • 64' Another corner for Inter but Boateng heads clear, out for a throw a good 35 yards from goal.
    • 63' Inter win a corner on the left, Sneijder curls it in but Amelia punches.
    • 62' It's all kicking off at Cagliari (or rather Trieste, where it's being played for stadium ownership reasons) after Chiellini escapes a red card for a two-footed tackle, then gets away with a foul in the box. More on that here!
    • 61' Corner Inter as Maicon heads Robinho's cross behind, Guarin is hurt though so he needs treating first.
    • 60' Robinho runs at Nagatomo, he gets past him and fires it in but batted away by Cesar!
    • 59' The corner is half-cleared but Maicon outside the box sends it well wide.
    • 58' Guarin tries a volley from range but Boateng blocks with his head, out for a corner.
    • 57' Nice interplay between Milan's forwards and midfield but Ibra bounces the shot well wide.
    • 56' It's all kicking off as Zanetti squares up to Van Bommel, losing his rag the veteran Argentine...
    • 55' WHAT A MISS BY MUNTARI! The corner was pounded towards goal by Ibra and it cannoned off Muntari towards an empty goal but somehow bounced wide! He knew little of it but still.
    • 54' Milan swarm forward, Boateng on the right and he sends Abate in but his cut-back is hacked away for a corner! End to end!
    • 53' Milito steps up, less delay this time... TOP LEFT! 2-2! Level again!
    • 52' PENALTY INTER! The same place where Milan won their penalty, but it's clear-cut this time as Abate hauls back Milito!
    • 51' Sneijder with the corner, Amelia tries to palm it away and a few bodies hit the deck, Inter want a penalty but I can barely see what's going on with all the smoke!
    • 50' INCREDIBLE EFFORT FROM SNEIJDER! Just kept out by a backtracking Amelia after the Dutchman saw him off his line, on the volley too!
    • 49' Smoke billowing on to the pitch as the Inter fans get the hump and set some flares off.
    • 48' Cambiasso catches Robinho. He's already been booked.
    • 47' Golly. 34 seconds into the second half , Nocerino with the pass, Boateng the stepover and Ibra clips it past Lucio, spinning clear and he chips the ball over the onrushing Cear, what a goal!
    • 46' GOAL MILAN! From kick-off Ibra scores!
    • 46' The second half is underway!
    • - Remember, keep talking to me on Twitter if you like. No changes at the break but Milan have already made two. FOLLOW ON TWITTER!
    • - Cesar is arguing with the ref in the tunnel, and with good reason. It was a dreadful decision to award the penalty, the ref had a clear view and the movement of the ball - and the fact Cesar got there so far before Boateng the Ghana midfielder didn't even appeal - made it clear to all.
    • - So as it stands Juve would be champions on the head-to-head. Milan HAVE to come out all-guns blazing in the second half!
    • 45+5 A drop ball is kicked back to Cesar by Ibra and the whistle goes for half-time. All smiles between Cesar and Ibra, who touch fists and share a joke after their gamesmanship earlier.
    • 45+4 Milito is having a go at Nocerino after a challenge on Robinho from Alvarez. Now Van Bommel is involved.
    • 45+3 Nocerino and Zanetti are booked for some nonsense in the middle of the park.
    • 45+2 Milan on the move now but Maicon flicks it away from Ibra and Lucio clears.
    • 45+1 Cambiasso leaves Ibra in a heap with a nice late tackle to punish him for scoring against his ex. No card.
    • 45' Well how about that for controversy - not even close to being a penalty, but Milan are level!
    • 44' GOAL MILAN! He doesn't celebrate but has a chat to his old made Cesar after slipping it bottom left.
    • 43' Cesar is off the pitch as Ibra prepares to take it, he goes over to Ibra to have a word and sticks his tongue out too - he needs to be careful, he's been booked!
    • 42' But hang on, the ref gives a penalty! What for? Handball when the Ibra shot was blocked? NO! He's booked Cesar! He says it was a foul - nowhere near, he knocked the ball away at 90 degrees!!
    • 41' Great save by Cesar to deny Boateng after he raced in, and it falls to Ibra but he shoots wide!
    • 40' Inter manage to clear and have the throw. But Sneijder gives it away, Boateng on the right but he overruns the ball to touch.
    • 39' Samuel knocks it behind for a corner to Milan on the right. Sorry about the Sneijder brain-freeze earlier, brain-melt after writing Scholes all day.
    • 38' Samuel puts in a good block on Muntari as Milan push forward...
    • 37' MILAN SUB: Abbiati has actually come off it turns out, his knee strapped and Amelia on in his place.
    • 36' A high ball drops for Ibra, he takes it on the chest and can finish but Cesar flies out to parry and he holds on!
    • 35' Abbiati is okay to carry on - however, Juventus right-back Lichtsteiner has been stretchered off in that game. Follow here!
    • 34' After that passage of play Abbiati has hurt his knee and is in need of treatment.
    • 33' SNEIJDER INTO THE SIDE NETTING! Inter failed to clear following that save, Cambiasso had another chance but it was hooked away by Nesta, Sneijder picking it up on the left swing but - Abbiati flying at him - he could only fire wide!
    • 32' Sneijder swings it in AND CAMBIASSO WITH THE HEADER BUT CLAWED OFF THE LINE! Inter think it was in but it looked a superb save by Abbiati!
    • 31' Abate has to nod behind for a corner after Maicon swung a cross over for Alarez, helped by a clever inside run from Zanetti.
    • 30' Now Milan break and a promising move ends when Van Bommel hits a low shot from the edge of the box but Cesar claims easily.
    • 29' Wonderful slide tackle by Abate on Nagotomo after he surged forward on the left wing.
    • 28' Good sliding interception from Nesta on the edge of his box.
    • 27' Ibra runs with it but is alone; he then finds Robinho on the left, Muntari takes over but his cross catches Ibra offside.
    • 26' Inter corner on the left, taken short and Alvarez crosss, Boateng able to clear.
    • 25' Sneijder gets some pace on, exchanging passes with Milito; now Nagatomo is on it but Abate challenges. Corner.
    • 24' Poor defending by Maicon when he lets the ball run under pressure from Ibra, should have cleared, but Cesar manages to hack away.
    • 22' Abbiati claims the corner with ease. Bonera can't continue so De Sciglio, 19, comes on in his place.
    • 21' Inter are all over Milan here as Sneijder robs Nocerino, but his shot is blocked. Corner. Maicon is annoyed as he was clear.
    • 20' Lucio was clearly offside, as were several of his team-mates - a better line this time! Bonera, meanwhile, is down hurt.
    • 19' 2-0 INTER! Poor keeping from Abbiati as he fails to hold a Schneijder free-kick from range, thrashed home by Lucio but no! The flag is up! Lucio was offside when the shot was taken!
    • 18' Robinho loses it with the Inter coaches after they refuse to give him the ball quickly for a throw! His Brazilian mates Lucio and Maicon cool the matter. Childish from grown men.
    • 17' Alvarez finds Milito on the edge of the box but Yepes blocks his shot.
    • 16' Zanetti finds Maicon, decent cross by Abate heads clear. Inter come again, Milan really struggling!
    • 15' Deary me. Terrible defending from Milan, not close to holding a line or stepping up in unison - Nesta horribly at fault - and a few minutes after Ibra missed a sitter, Inter are in front. Now Guarin has a chance from the edge of the box and he smashes it just wide!!
    • 14' Free-kick Inter around 35 yards out, Schneijder to send it in... Brilliant ball to the far post, Milan all at sea and Samuel knocks it across goal for MILITO WITH AN EASY FINISH! GOAL INTER!
    • 13' That was a poor finish from Ibrahimovic. Robinho's pass was inch-perfect, rising over the defender and dipping for a volleyed tap-in. Meanwhile, Schneijder goes down theatrically after minimal contact from Bonera.
    • 12' WHAT A MISS FROM IBRA! He pokes it over from five yards after a floated cross-pass from Robinho!
    • 11' Nagatomo puts a long-range shot straight at Abbiati. Milan counter with Abate on the right. Now Boateng finds Robinho, in and out of Maicon, now Boateng again but his shot is blocked by Samuel.
    • 10' A wild effort high and wide from Muntari. Milan will be aware that Juve have scored and must push for a win; Inter also have to win this, if their faint hopes of a Champions League place are to stay alive, and also to qualify for the Europa League.
    • 9' Van Bommel wins a free-kick and Milan can try to build an attack. Been mostly Inter so far.
    • 8' Meanwhile, Maicon surges forward but can't get past Bonera.
    • 7' Mirko Vucinic has scored for Juventus - if they win at Cagliari, and Milan lose, the title is Juve's.
    • 6' A poor defensive header from Nesta but the flag is up for offside as Guarin shoots well wide.
    • 5' ... Just a stern word from the ref. He seemed to get the ball, possibly catching him but Sneijder definitely made the most of that. He's not remotely injured either.
    • 4' Guarin almost wriggles away but Van Bommel challenges and Abate clears. Now Muntari goes in late on Sneijder...
    • 3' A long pass aimed at Robinho is too long and Cesar gets hold of it.
    • 2' Sneijder lofts one in but Nesta guides it back to Abbiati with his head.
    • - A hilarious Opta stat: Allegri has coached five Milan derbies, each against a different Inter coach. Ha ha.
    • - This will be the 156th Milan derby in Serie A: Inter lead by 57 wins to 49, with 49 games drawn.
    • - MATCH ODDS: Inter 13/5, Milan evens, draw 5/2
    • 1' A couple of minutes behind schedule, the first half of this Milan derby is underway!
    • 19:44 The teams are out, there will be the customary delay to kick-off.
    • 19:41 So how about that - Forlan out of the squad altogether, probably looking into flights back to Spain or even England as we speak. Cordoba starts for what will be his last game at the San Siro, and what a way to go out - he's retiring this summer, unless Inter can convince him otherwise. What say about Forlan's snub?
    • 19:40 Both sides missing some attackers - Diego Forlan is not in the Inter squad, while youngster Stephan El Shaarawy misses out for Milan. The 'home' side are without the injured Cristian Chivu and Dejan Stankovic, while Milan have defender Thiago Silva, full-back Luca Antonini and midfielders Clarence Seedorf and Urby Emanuelson not match fit after injuries.
    • 19:40 TEAMS - Inter: Cesar, Maicon, Nagatomo, Lucio, Samuel, Cambiasso, Zanetti, Guarin, Alvarez, Sneijder, Milito; Subs: Castellazzi, Cordoba, Ranocchia, Obi, Palombo, Pazzini, Zarate /// Milan: Abbiati, Abate, Bonera, Nesta, Yepes, Van Bommel, Nocerino, Muntari, Boateng, Ibrahimovic, Robinho; Subs: Amelia, Mexes, De Sciglio, Gattuso, Aquilani, Cassano, Lopez
    • 19:35 Andrea Stramaccioni on his chances of being handed the Inter post full-time: "President Massimo Moratti is free to choose what he thinks is best and I think he's already made a decision. I believe he knows what he wants to do. I won't go back to the youth team. I could have spent a second season with them had all of this not happened this term. In terms of my own personal development, it would not be right for me to go back there."
    • 19:35 Massimilano Allegri on the title race: "With five minutes to go, the Scudetto was practically signed, sealed and delivered. Sunday will be a wonderful evening anyway and we are really fired up for the derby. This fixture gets the players going anyway and perhaps we could not have asked for a better game, as we are highly motivated, certainly more than we were tonight."
    • 19:30 Some of your predictions of Twitter: @samer21: "Milan 1-0 Inter...Ibra with the winning penalty(of course)"; @Rajput__: "4:3 for Milan with some Ibra Magic involved in the game (the good or the bad one)"; ‏ @SamShamwari: "inter 2-1 milito and sneijder & ibrahimovic!" 1. Arsenal have not drawn 12 games this season! I meant when they were "invincible" back in the 2003-2004 season. They drew 12 games then. You said Juventus park the bus? They don't though 65 goals scored this season to Arsenals 73 goals in the 2003-2004 season. So if we are going on your basis that Juventus park the bus then Arsenal must have done the same in the 2003-2004 season because from what I see there records are almost identical. Goals scored, goals against, points etc. You need to give them more credit than what your giving them that is all I am saying. To go a whole season undefeated is some feat particulary in a competitive league such as the serie A. Of course they aren't unbeaten yet 1 game left.

From Gareth, on Mon 7 May 17:49
  2. Gareth , I'm glad you enjoy watching Serie A . I don't . Although I am NOT an Arsenal fan , I don't think the Gunners have intentionally drawn 12 games for the simple reason that they can't play defense . Watching Serie A would give you the impression that some teams play not to lose . I agree with you about Chelsea parking the bus against Barçelona . It is not only Chelsea but EVERY PL club, with the exception of Arsenal and EVERY club coached by Jose Mourinho does the same thing when they face Barçelona : they park the bus !!

From Fat Tony, on Mon 7 May 16:17
  3. LeRoy, serious bus parking, really? Serious bus parking is what happened when Chelsea played Barcelona. So they have drawn 15 games big deal. Arsenal drew 12 games back in there "invincible season". So does that mean they parked the bus? No, it doesn't what it means is they turned losses into draws. They found something when they were playing badly to draw the game.

From Gareth, on Mon 7 May 14:50
  4. When is Serie A going to enforce the OFFSIDE rule ? Every time , I watch highlights from that league , I'm shocked at the high number of goals scored from blatant offside positions . Don't take my word , just watch some Serie A highlights . BTW , Juventus won the league without losing a single game however , the new champions drew 15 of their matches : serious bus parking if you ask me !!

  6. Who says Italian football is boring? This is what you call a derby game not like that boring Manchester derby game the other night. Used to love it back in the 90s when it was by far the best league in the World. Infact take any league from any period of time and put it against Italian football from the 90s and it would be no match up. Zidane, Batitstuta, Nedved, Baresi, Gullit, Van Basten, Rui Costa, Veron, Ronaldo, Cannavaro, Maldini, Buffon, Thuram, Zola, Mancini etc etc. The list goes on and on. It would wipe the floor with any league, end of story.

  8. It was a WAR between INTER vs AC MILAN,MILITO vs IBRAHIMOVIC,CHAMPIONS vs CHEATERS, and we all knows who win it all in case of defending and attacking,Just like I said before INTER will win this because of nothing more but US and I will always say FROZA INTER...............

  9. What a game.Wonderful derby. Its been a horrible season for us but still managed a double over Milan.Suck it mobsters. Also i hope Stramala stays unless Guardiola arrives. But since thats unlikley i think Stramala deserves to stay.Forza Inter!

    From Mr.EvoLuTioN, on Sun 6 May 21:49
  10. Juve should still be trying to get back to Serie A, let alone winning it. Relegation to the absolute lowest division in Italian regional football should have been their punishment. A disgrace!

  11. to the match tracker definetly not a penalty to milan, the replay was a little unclear, but you can see that he pulls his hand behind his back. hits his shoulder. Just to make things clear for the ones on here who can't see the match.

  17. Nothing really surprises me anymore when it comes to decisions on the pitch going the way of Berlusconi's team. You want to always give the benefit of the doubt but he's been implicated so many times in football and in politics that you can't help but wonder when you realize that Inter should be up 3-1 at this point.
