  • Live Commentary

    • 90+4 Juve have a corner and Buffon comes all the way up into the box but the referee blows his final whistle to the cheers of the Roma players but the league leaders are incandescent and remonstrate with the official as they leave the field. Great win for the hosts.
    • 90+3 Pirlo brings down Lamela – he is booked and that could be that it.
    • 90+1 Torosidis’s deflected cross is claimed by Buffon.
    • 90' Four minutes of added time.
    • 89' The hosts doing well here to play the clock down.
    • 87' Torosidis goes down under a Anelka challenge to win a free-kick by the edge of the box – Totti takes it short but he is ushered off the ball for a goal-kick. And that’s his last contribution – Florenzi on.
    • 85' Totti runs hard into the corner to get on to an Osvaldo flick – he tries to win a throw with a back heel but the ball ricochets back off him and out for a throw for the visitors.
    • 84' Osvaldo puts Bonucci under pressure from a long punt forward from Stekelenburg to win a throw deep in the Juve half.
    • 82' Balzaretti on for Marquinho.
    • 81' Stekelenburg does well to claim a Lichtsteiner cross inside the six-yard box. He has been very good this evening.
    • 80' Pirlo, who has been frustrated throughout, takes an elbow in the face from Lamela. Free-kick but no card.
    • 79' Roma could do with being a bit more compact here – they continue to commit men forward in search of a second and are offering an out-of-sorts Juve the chance of a quick breakaway.
    • 78' Definitely a handball on refelction.
    • 77' Roma again break. Buffon is full stretch to push a Totti cross back out into the penalty area. Marquinho is first to it but it is blocked by Lichtsteiner who appears to handle but the referee is not interested.
    • 76' With Juve committing more men forward in search of a leveller, Roma are making strides on the break. This time though Totti delays the through-ball fractionally and Osvaldo is offside.
    • 74' That is all three changes made from Conte but Roma continue to look comfortable.
    • 72' Anelka enters the fray for the league leaders. He is on for Vidal.
    • 70' Osvaldo has led the line admirably here and he links with Bradley before finding Lamela inside the box – the attacking midfielder skips past the first challenge but then takes a touch too much before Bonucci clears.
    • 68' Bradley on for Pjanic.
    • 67' Aurelio Andreazzoli looks to be lining up a substitute as Lamela reacts sluggishly to a flick from a corner to prod wide.
    • 66' Roma pressurise Juve well meaning that the league leaders are trying to play out from the edge of their box but with little success.
    • 64' Totti does well under pressure on the edge of the box to work the ball forward. Roma are lightening quick on the break but De Rossi just can’t take Osvaldo’s lay-off in stride and he rather scuffs a shot and Juve clear. That could have been two.
    • 62' Roma have probably deserved this – they have definitely had more of the play even if the Osvaldo chance preceding the goal was probably the first chance of note they had created.
    • 61' Roma work the ball through midfield but Lamela’s touch lets him down.
    • 60' What a strike that was. Pure instinct.
    • 58' GOOOOAL!! What a hit. Juve half-clear a free-kick to Totti, who lets go of an unstoppable effort from twenty yards out that rises into the top corner with Buffon left with no chance.
    • 57' Pjanic clips the a ball to the back post but Buffon makes a point blank save from ten yards from an Osvaldo header.
    • 57' Vucinic and Asamoah off for Padoin and Giovinco.
    • 57' Lamela is late and the referee is right there to intervene as it looks like it might boil over.
    • 56' Stekelenburg does well to get down to a Matri effort from a tight angle. The resulting corner is headed clear.
    • 54' Juve break and then Roma counter-break following a heavy Vucinic touch but Totti’s clipped through-ball has too much on it.
    • 52' Totti’s powerful drive from the edge of the box has Buffon scrambling but he manages to push it wide.
    • 50' Pogba battles well to win the ball in the host box – he finds Vucinic on the edge but he rather snatches at the volley that has Stekelenburg worried enough to make a cursory dive to his left but in truth it was always going wide.
    • 48' Osvaldo times his run well to get in behind the Juve defence but he has to stretch to get his effort away and he pulls it wide.
    • 47' Juventus appear to have started the half twenty yards further forward.
    • 46' Juventus get the second half underway.
    • 45+2 And that's it from the first-half.
    • 45+1 Two minutes of added time.
    • 45' Osvaldo runs between Bonucci and Caceres but the chipped through-ball is cut out by the head of Bonucci.
    • 44' De Rossi looks for that switch in behind Lichtsteiner but it is over-hit.
    • 43' Totti is coming deeper and deeper to affect the game but while he works some neat passing through midfield the eventual attempt at a through-ball is horribly over-hit and Buffon has the easiest of claims.
    • 42' Bonucci reads an attempted through-ball forward to clear with Osvaldo lurking.
    • 41' This game is Juve’s third in seven days and they are looking lethargic at times. A lazy ball forward from Vidal is easily cut out.
    • 40' Osvaldo is offside by some distance but the assistant referee’s reluctance to raise his flag until he touched the ball gave the forward false hope.
    • 39' Osvaldo, who has looked bright, is over-zealous in his attempts to challenge Barzagli and he gives away a free-kick.
    • 37' The game is becoming more stretched as the game draws toward half time and it is suiting the visitors with Matri likely to time one of his runs correctly soon.
    • 35' Pirlo, who has not had his usual influence on the game, is straight into the thick of things now but his attempted lofted ball out wide is somewhere between Pogba and Asamoah and drifts out of play.
    • 33' Totti switches to Osvaldo – this time down the Juve left – he comes inside but his effort is always rising. Pirlo re-enters the fray with a pretty nasty gash on his knee bandaged up.
    • 32' Pirlo is in some discomfort and he’ll probably have to leave the field of play.
    • 31' Totti leaves his leg in on Pirlo and is duly booked.
    • 30' Pogba cuts in from the left and lets go of a well-struck effort from 25 yards but Stekelenburg is behind it all the way.
    • 29' Osvaldo again runs the space behind Lichtsteiner, he finds Totti on the edge but his clipped cross to the far post is just out of the reach of Lamela.
    • 28' Matri again is offside.
    • 27' Marquinho looks to run at Juve when he would have been better served finding a colleague – outnumbered in midfield he decides to take a pretty theatrical tumble but the referee is having little of it.
    • 25' Roma break with Totti and Osvaldo but the square ball from Totti is fractionally behind his colleague and Juve clear.
    • 24' Juve go long but Burdisso ushers the ball out of play with Vucinic lurking.
    • 23' Lamela looks to lead another charge forward but a timely tackle denies him.
    • 22' But Vucinic times his run well to get in behind. His efforts to work some space are thwarted by a gaggle of defenders but he finds Pirlo on the edge. His shot is blocked. Pogba picks up the loose ball but his attempted through-ball is cleared for a corner that Stekelenburg punches clear.
    • 20' The hosts are happy to allow the Bianconeri the ball and are stifling them with a deep defensive line..
    • 19' Pirlo over the kick – which is 25 yards out and right of centre. He gets it around the wall and almost inside the post but Stekelenburg gets a strong hand to it to turn it around the post. Corner - which the hosts deal with pretty comfortably.
    • 18' De Rossi remains composed in the box to clip a ball forward whilst under considerable pressure but Lamela’s heavy touch allows Juve to stream forward again. De Rossi takes his frustration out on the ankle of Lichtsteiner. Free-kick, and a yellow card.
    • 17' Matri goes a fraction too soon again.
    • 16' An advanced Lichtsteiner has two decent crossing opportunities. The first of which is a testing ball but the second of which fails to beat the first man – neither come to much.
    • 15' De Rossi links the play well in midfield before looking for a switch of play behind Lichtsteiner – they have clearly earmarked him as a defensive weak spot but this time he manages to clear. The ball is worked back out wide before an over-hit pass denies Marquinho a crossing opportunity as the ball fizzes past his run and out of play.
    • 13' Pogba tracks Marquinho through midfield to win the ball back, but Matri wastes his toil with a under-hit return ball as Roma come again.
    • 12' Roma are getting great joy down the Juve right. This time Lamela slips the ball to Osvaldo who rounds Buffon but with no support his cross is easily cleared.
    • 10' Matri strays offside – it is an old adage but looking across the line that shouldn’t have happened.
    • 8' The hosts are definitely having the better of the early exchanges. Osvaldo manages to find space in Roma’s left channel behind Lichtsteiner. He slows the play down before attempting to come inside but his intentions are read by the Juve defender who forces the forward off balance. The resultant shot is straight at Buffon.
    • 6' Pjanic receives a corner short on the edge of the box with a decent first touch but the ball sits up and the strike is wild and always curling away.
    • 5' Asamoah wastes two opportunities in succession to get the ball into the box. First his ball is too close to Stekelenburg before over-hitting the second.
    • 4' Lamela shuffles through the Juve midfield before finding Osvaldo on the cusp of the Juve box, the forward takes a rather heavy touch and has his shot blocked. Decent start from the hosts.
    • 2' Osvaldo looks to get in behind the Juventus back line and only an outstretched Barzagli leg manages to get the ball away. The throw is worked to Osvaldo who drags an effort wide from the edge of the box.
    • 1' And we're underway in the Eternal City. Roma get the 160th meeting between these two sides started and are straight on the attack.
    • 19:40 Roma have not defeated Juve in front of their own fans since 2003-04 - a 4-0 win.
    • 19:35 Aurelio Andreazzoli’s caretaker reign began with a 3-1 defeat at Sampdoria, which extended the Giallorossi’s winless streak to six matches. In contrast, Juventus won back-to-back matches for the first time since December with a 2-0 victory over Fiorentina last time out that opened up a five point advantage in the race for the Scudetto.
