    • 90+4' FULL TIME. A brilliant performance from Malaga, Portillo, Saviola, Santa Cruz and Isco on target.
    • 90+2' GOAL! Malaga 4-0 Valencia! Isco gets a deserved goal with a low curling effort from 20 yards out. Alves couldn't reach it and the margin of victory is deserved, there's no doubt about that.
    • 90' Malaga make a late change as Toulalan comes off for Diego Buonanotte.
    • 89' A late corner for Valencia but yet again they fail to create a genuine chance. They haven't had more than a handful in a dreadful performance.
    • 87' Malaga will see this out with ease now. It has been a fantastic performance from the home side tonight.
    • 85' A change for Malaga as Saviola is off to be replaced by Seba Fernandez.
    • 84' RED CARD! Rami goes for a second yellow to leave Valencia down to 10 men.
    • 83' Malaga press forward once more before Cissokho makes a key intervention.
    • 81' GOAL! Malaga 3-0 Valencia! Substitute Santa Cruz ends this game as a contest. Isco plays in Gamez and the defender has a shot blocked. However, the loose ball finds Santa Cruz and he tucks his shot past Alves.
    • 79' Gamez fires a shot across goal and wide as Malaga go in search of a third.
    • 78' Joaquin is done for the night as he is replaced by Roque Santa Cruz.
    • 76' Valencia need a quick response and Piatti sees a low shot bobble wide. At least it's a shot.
    • 75' GOAL! Malaga 2-0 Valencia! Saviola finally gets his goal! Portillo knocks a square pass to the striker and his shot takes a deflection off Costa to wrong-foot Alves.
    • 74' Adil Rami makes it eight bookings for a clumsy tackle on Saviola.
    • 73' Isco takes the set-piece but his curling effort hits the wall and deflects away.
    • 72' The seventh booking of the game is shown to Costa for a terrible tackle on Joaquin 20 yards from goal. Truly awful.
    • 71' Another chance for Joaquin. He breaks clear down the right and hammers in a shot from a tight angle that smacks the outside of the post.
    • 69' A second change for Valencia as Guardado goes off to be replaced by Pablo Piatti.
    • 68' Guardado is robbed of possession and goes down clutching his knee. Joaquin then gets possession on the right but his touch is heavy as Alves comes to collect.
    • 67' So can Valencia build on that chance and actually put Malaga under any pressure? Let's see...
    • 65' A chance for Valencia! An actual chance! Costa curls in a corner and Valdez heads over from eight yards out. That's their best moment of the game, which tells its own story.
    • 63' Weligton has been booked for Malaga, not sure why, and Manuel Pellegrini was not happy with the decision as he made his feelings clear to the ref.
    • 62' Feghouli chops down Toulalan in rather brutish fashion and unsurprisingly goes into the book.
    • 61' Still Valencia are yet to create anything of note. This has been a seriously poor performance.
    • 59' Plenty of debate from Joaquin after that decision but he clearly threw himself to the floor. Shocking simulation.
    • 58' Joaquin suffers a bit of embarrassment as he is booked for a shameless dive. Malaga also wanted a handball when Toulalan had a shot blocked.
    • 56' Another huge chance for Saviola! Joaquin is nudged off the ball 20 yards from goal but it runs into the path of Saviola, who takes a touch before steering a shot inches wide. Alves wouldn't have reached it.
    • 55' Valencia have had enough and make a change as Banega is replaced by Jonas. He was on a yellow card.
    • 53' Eliseu and Feghouli are involved in a little coming together after competing for the ball. It's nothing really though, just a bit of pushing.
    • 52' Joaquin with a free kick on the right but his delivery is poor as Valencia head the ball clear. Still, the winger has been lively against his former employers.
    • 50' Weligton clears behind for a Valencia corner but the visitors see the set-piece cleared by Malaga.
    • 49' The corner comes out to Isco but he can't get his shot on target.
    • 48' Huge chance! Eliseu plays in Joaquin with an outrageous 40-yard pass to the right. He touches the ball down to Isco but instead it rolls into the path of Saviola, who is denied by a brilliant save from Alves.
    • 47' Joaquin plays in Isco to the left and the playmaker loses his marker with a neat trick. However, he fails to carve out a chance for Malaga.
    • 46' KICK OFF!
    • 45' HALF TIME. Dominant doesn't even begin to describe it. Malaga well on top but they only lead 1-0 thanks to Portillo's goal after eight minutes.
    • 44' The state of the pitch here at La Rosalega is a disgrace by the way. It's patchy and sandy and not the standard of surface you expect from one of Europe's best leagues.
    • 42' Superb save! Alves sticks out his left arm to palm away a stunning effort from Joaquin against his former side. Malaga should be out of sight. Great pass from Saviola too.
    • 40' Gago is the third Valencia player in the book, this time for handball. That seems remarkably harsh given he couldn't do much about moving his arm away.
    • 39' A corner for Malaga but Valdez clears at the near post. A second corner for the home side, and though a header back across goal causes problems, Valencia hoof the ball out.
    • 37' Malaga need to put some of these chances away or they could pay for it.
    • 35' Another big chance! Gamez plays in a brilliant cross into the centre of the box and Joaquin slides in, but he just fails to make contact and tap the ball home against his former side.
    • 34' Oh dear. Saviola bursts through on goal through the centre of the pitch but from the edge of the box fires a shot well over. That was shocking - he had to hit the target.
    • 33' Saviola does brilliantly to nutmeg Costa but is then penalised for pulling the defender back as he tries to get a shot away.
    • 32' Portillo has a low shot blocked by Tino Costa before Isco's shot deflects off the head of Joaquin and over. More and more pressure for Malaga.
    • 30' Malaga bossing possession with 54 per cent to Valencia's 46. They have been by far the better side.
    • 29' Banega is booked for a silly handball. What a pointless booking.
    • 28' Some superb build-up play from Malaga. Portillo does his man with a flick down the line and then Joaquin joins in.
    • 27' Oh dear. Now Isco produces an air kick as Gago slides in to put him off. Commentator's curse.
    • 26' Valencia are still to really create anything; Malaga, and Isco in particular, look very lively.
    • 25' Outrageous skill from Isco as he juggles the ball and flicks it over a defender's head to escape two markers. He then bounds away down the right before being stopped. Wonderful.
    • 23' Nice work from Isco as he tries to dart between two markers and get a cross in. Valencia halt his progress though.
    • 21' Barragan is played in by a fine ball into the right channel and his cross picks out Valdez. The striker tries to bend his neck to direct his header on target but can't quite manage it from such a tight angle.
    • 20' Jeremy Toulalan has a sneaky pull of Banega's shirt as the Argentinian midfielder advances. Free-kick to Valencia but it is wasted.
    • 19' Eliseu comes forward once again and after reaching the edge of the box fires in a low effort that Rami blocks. Some Malaga players appeal for a penalty but it never was.
    • 18' Malaga's dominance has tailed off a bit and Valencia are acquitting themselves well now.
    • 16' Guardado, already on a booking, just about gets the ball when making a risky tackle on Portillo on the edge of the box.
    • 15' Lovely stuff from Martin Demichelis - if a touch risky - as he lifts the ball over his own head 25 yards from his own goal to take the ball away from Valdez.
    • 14' Nelson Haedo Valdez is set free by a gorgeous pass from Costa but after getting the ball under control he is lacking a target in the box. Malaga clear.
    • 12' Valencia begin to apply some pressure of their own before Fernando Gago is guilty of a terrible pass when he plays the ball straight into the path of Isco.
    • 10' Andres Guardado goes into the book for blocking the run of Gamez with his arm. That was cynical.
    • 10' Sofiane Feghouli and Antonio Barragan combine to good effect down the Valencia right but Eliseu comes back to tidy up and takes the ball away for Malaga.
    • 9' Just reward for an excellent start to the game by Malaga. Valencia just haven't been able to cope with their movement and passing combinations.
    • 8' GOAL! Malaga 1-0 Valencia! Eliseu finds Portillo in acres of space in the box and he kills the ball dead before curling an unstoppable shot past Diego Alves. What a finish.
    • 7' Lovely work from Javier Saviola as he holds the ball up and spreads it wide to Jesus Gamez. The cross comes in but Valencia clear.
    • 6' Valencia win a free kick on the left wing but Tino Costa's delivery is pathetic and Malaga are able to clear. What a poor use of a set-piece.
    • 5' Eliseu gets forward for the first time and unleashes a ferocious effort from 30 yards. However, his connection is all wrong and the ball flies high into the air.
    • 4' Isco looks to open up the Valencia defence again and tries to play in Joaquin but Valencia clear.
    • 3' Now Adil Rami is forced to head clear for Valencia as a Joaquin free kick causes problems for the visitors. A good start for Malaga.
    • 2' Nice work from Francisco Portillo as he takes the ball on his chest and plays in Isco. The young playmaker then whips in a dangerous cross but there is no one on hand to tuck it away.
    • 1' KICK OFF! Valencia kicking right to left in their black change kit.
    • 19:00 From a personal point of view I love watching Isco play - he is one talented little player. Expect him to get on the ball as much as possible. Ever Banega performs a similar role for Valencia. It could be an entertaining match.
    • 18:55 Malaga are without a win in their past four Liga games, losing two home fixtures against Rayo Vallecano and Real Sociedad, while Valencia have fared better, recovering from a poor run of form with three wins in five.
    • 18:50 TEAMS: Malaga: Caballero, Gamez, Weligton, Demichelis, Eliseu, Camacho, Isco, Joaquin, Toulalan, Portillo, Saviola. Subs: Kameni, Onyewu, Iturra, Duda, Buonanotte, Fernandez, Santa Cruz. /// Valencia: Alves, Costa, Barragan, Rami, Cissokho, Gago, Banega, Feghouli, Guardado, Costa, Valdez. Subs: Guaita, Dalmau, Albelda, Viera, Parejo, Jonas, Piatti.
    • 18:45 Both sides are safely through to the last 16 of the Champions League - Valencia joining Malaga with a draw against Bayern Munich in midweek - but domestic form has proved more problematic. Valencia start eighth, Malaga fifth.
