    Time:90'
    • Osasuna
    • Atlético Madrid
    • 90+3' The final whistle goes and Atletico have closed the gap back to one point behind second placed Real Madrid in the table with a solid performance. Osasuna played well in the first half but ran out of steam after the break.
    • 90+1' Gabi slows an Osasuna counter attack with a cheap foul on Cejudo and gets a late yellow card.
    • 89' Rodriguez hesitates when he should shoot first time and Flaño blocks his shot for a corner to Atletico. Which they are in no rush to take. Obviously.
    • 88' Koke plays a short one-two corner and then drills in a cross straight into the arms of Andres Fernandez.
    • 86' A second change for the men from the capital. Off goes Arda Turan and on comes talented Uruguayan Cristian 'Cebolla' Rodriguez.
    • 85' Nine outfield players for Osasuna push forward as Cejudo takes a free kick on the right. He wastes it though and gets abuse from a number of tired colleagues.
    • 84' Cejudo tests Courtois with a rasping drive from the edge of the box and then Cata hurts himself tidying up the reboud. He's ok to carry on though.
    • 83' Falcao is still working hard in attack for Diego Simeone's side and is hungry for a goal in the final stages.
    • 82' Oier is either desperate or bored as he tries an aimless looping shot from 30 metres out. Easy save for Courtois.
    • 81' Osasuna bring on Llorente and Damia goes off, after a rather anonymous performance.
    • 80' Between Arda Turan and Falcao Atletico Madrid get the ball clear. The home side are about to make another change by the look of things.
    • 79' A Marc Bertran cross from the Osasuna right is cleared by Suarez at the expense of a corner.
    • 78' After the international break Atletico Madrid return to action on 31st March at home to Valencia.
    • 77' Masoud is still the liveliest Osasuna player but he is not being supporting enough as he attacks from midfield.
    • 76' Osasuna waste another corner as Atletico show their physical dominance again in defence, then Falcao is caught offside on the counter attack.
    • 75' That twisted ankle means Diego Costa has had to depart, with Adrian coming on.
    • 73' Another change for the Pamplona side as Puñal retires and Cejudo comes on.
    • 72' Diego Costa then has a hat-trick chance on the counter attack shooting from distance and then chasing a rebound and injuring himself in the process. A twisted ankle it seems.
    • 71' Masoud takes another corner from the left for Osasuna and Diego Costa is back defending to head clear.
    • 70' With 20 minutes to go the visitors look well in charge, playing calmly and defending this two goal lead.
    • 69' Diego Costa tries to reach a long through ball from Gabi, with Flaño defending legally this time and beating the Brazilian striker to the ball on the edge of the box.
    • 68' Corner after corner as the teams exchange blows, this latest set piece from Atletico being fruitless as Koke crosses from the right and is unable to pick anyone out.
    • 66' It's end to end play, with Lolo now forcing a shot on goal for Osasuna after a corner on the left which saw the ball bouncing around in front of Courtois' goal. Lolo is off target though.
    • 65' Diego Costa then wins a corner at the other end. Koke takes it and Mario Suarez fouls Lolo in the Osasuna box so the home side get a free kick.
    • 64' Substitute Nino forces a corner for the hosts and Masoud crosses the ball, with Courtois collecting safely for the visitors.
    • 63' Falcao breaks clear on the left and cuts inside before his shot is charged down, Gabi picks up the loose ball and fires over.
    • 62' Nino gets a couple of early touches, but it's scrappy play from the home side in midfield at present.
    • 61' De las Cuevas goes off for Nino to come on as Osasuna make a change.
    • 60' Atletico have a free kick on the right after Marc Bertran fouls Filipe. Diego Costa stings Andres Fernandez' right hand as the goalkeeper palms over. Eventually Osasuna clear the danger from the resulting corner.
    • 59' Koke 'takes one for the team', a cynical foul on Oier to prevent an Osasuna counter attack.
    • 58' Koke takes the corner and it's pinball stuff in the home side's area. The ball is cleared only to Juanfran who crosses back in from the right, then eventually Osasuna get it out.
    • 57' Atletico win a corner on the left with Diego Costa stretching the Osasuna defence.
    • 56' Diego Costa is played through on the left by Gabi, with Falcao also available, but the pair of them are offside.
    • 55' Osasuna must be asking themselves how they are two goals behind. They were marginally the better side in the first half but were wasteful in front of goal.
    • 54' After this weekend's fixtures the international break will bring a halt to La Liga next weekend.
    • 52' Diego Costa is back on the pitch and going in search of a hat-trick, but he unselfishly passes to Falcao who blasts at the goalkeeper from 20 yards out.
    • 51' De las Cuevas crosses from the left trying to find Masoud in the box, but the ball is cleared by Atletico.
    • 50' Diego Costa is still limping from that challange by Flaño and has had to go off for treatment after notching the second goal.
    • 49' GOAL!!! Diego Costa doubles his tally, finishing from close range thanks to an excellent cross by Koke from the Atletico left.
    • 48' A horrible foul by Flaño on the right arriving late on Diego Costa, no yellow card but I'm not sure why. Good chance for the visitors from the free kick.
    • 47' Osasuna play the ball around nicely after a loose pass from Gabi, with Filipe eventually intervening for the visitors.
    • 46' The second half starts, Atletico kicking off and giving the ball away straight from the start.
    • 45' As the first half ends the visitors go in for the break one goal to the good. Atletico worked hard in midfield after a slow start and managed to force themselves into the game. Osasuna will look to keep creating chances in the second half.
    • 44' Almost a chance for De las Cuevas to level as Marc Bertran provides a great cross but Miranda gets there first.
    • 43' The goal scorer Diego Costa is penalised for a hand ball on his own in attack for the visiting side.
    • 42' Atletico have left Pamplona with maximum points on their last two visits to Osasuna.
    • 41' That goal has taken the wind out of Osasuna's sails somewhat and Atletico are happy to play out the rest of this half protecting that lead.
    • 40' Diego Costa was the main man in this fixture two seasons back, firing a hat-trick in a 3-2 victory for Atletico Madrid and his goal separates the two teams thus far tonight.
    • 39' A deserved yellow card for Damia as he goes in late on Gabi.
    • 38' That was a brilliant save by Courtois after a great ball from Masoud who looks like Osasuna's best player so far.
    • 37' A superb save by Courtois who shows great reflexes to keep out Oier who heads towards goal from a Masoud cross.
    • 36' Atletico broke quickly there with Gabi down the right and he supplied Diego Costa who managed to finish somewhat fortunately the second time around.
    • 35' GOAL!!! Atletico take a surprise lead on the break, with Diego Costa heading home from close range at the second attempt after his first shot was blocked by goalkeeper Andres Fernandez.
    • 33' This is a special match for Atletico midfielder Raul Garcia as he was born in Pamplona and began his professional career with Osasuna, before moving to Madrid six years ago. Last season he also played for his home town club on loan, but tonight he is on the bench for Atletico. Will we see him after the break?
    • 31' Oier falls to the ground trying to win a free kick as Cata watches him closely. The Atletico defender and the referee tell the Osasuna striker to get up.
    • 30' A half chance for Masoud who swivels in the box and fires over with Juanfran just on his shoulder.
    • 29' There might have been some gamesmanship from the Osasuna defender there, he's back on his feet now and play continues.
    • 28' The home side and their fans complain as Arribas is down with a knock to the head and Atletico play on.
    • 27' Last week’s loss also cost Diego Simeone's men second place in the table with their city rivals Real Madrid leapfrogging them in the standings. Real won again this weekend (5-2 at home to Mallorca on Saturday) and are currently four points ahead of Atleti in the battle for second place.
    • 25' Excellent work from Koke in midfield for Atletico putting the brakes on another Osasuna attack by chasing down Masoud and winning the ball back for the visitors.
    • 24' Osasuna are getting the ball forward quicker and more effectively than their visitors and Diego Costa has been has been very quiet in attack with Falcao thus far.
    • 22' Atletico’s defeat to Real Sociedad last weekend saw them lose their 100 per cent home record this season and they are not the best travelers so a win tonight would be a big boost, but Osasuna look well up for this.
    • 21' Eventually Atletico get the ball clear as Puñal mishits his free kick and the visitors can push out.
    • 20' Then Miranda gives away another free kick outside the box as he floors Oier and the pressure is back on.
    • 19' Puñal drives a free kick into the Atletico box where Miranda is able to marshall his defence and head clear.
    • 18' In fact there was a minute's silence before kick-off to acknowledge the death of Mendilibar's mother. His side are doing him proud so far.
    • 17' Osasuna assistant trainer Alfredo Sanchez, took over certain duties from coach Jose Luis Mendilibar in the build up to this match as Mendilibar dealt with a death in his family. Mendilibar is back at the helm for the game this evening though.
    • 15' Falcao bursts forward and looks like he might just spring free, only for Arribas and Flaño to block him just as he reaches the Osasuna box. Good defending from both of them.
    • 14' Two weeks ago Atletico Madrid drew 0-0 with Malaga and last weekend they were beaten 1-0 at home by Real Sociedad, so they need a more positive result in this evening's game.
    • 13' Atletico's game plan is to build down the wings with full backs Juanfran and Luis Filipe looking to supply Diego Costa and Falcao in attack. Luis Filipe is seeing more of the ball so far, but there is no rhythm to the Madrid side's play thus far.
    • 12' Osasuna have started the brighter of the two teams but now Atletico's midfield are working hard to win back control in the centre of the park.
    • 11' Atletico's league form has not been ideal recently, they have failed to score in their last two matches and have taken just one point from those two games.
    • 9' So one early chance for the visitors and two decent effort thus far from Osasuna, meaning Courtois has to be on his toes in the Atletico goal.
    • 8' A good chance for Osasuna from a free kick just to the left of the Atletico box and the shot is just wide from Masoud. Juanfran was booked for a foul on De las Cuevas to give away that free kick.
    • 7' This evening’s hosts have fallen to defeat in their last two league fixtures, the most recent being a 2-1 setback at Real Betis.
    • 5' At the other end Oier dives low to head towards the Atletico goal, but the effort goes just wide!
    • 4' An early chance for Atletico as Falcao wriggles between two defenders on the right and crosses a low ball which Arda Turan just can't reach.
    • 3' Osasuna soon tidy up and get their shape back in defence with centre halves Arribas and Flaño enjoying a few early touches.
    • 2' Falcao pushes forward down the left for Atletico and Filipe Luis has a throw in for the visitors in an advanced position.
    • 1' The game commences in Pamplona with Osasuna kicking off in their traditional red and blue colours. Atletico are wearing their black away strip.
    • 17.55 Home team Osasuna are hoping to pull away from the relegation zone and third placed Atletico Madrid will be looking to rediscover their form and stay in touch with Real Madrid in the battle for second.
    • 17.50 This evening’s game sees two recently inconsistent sides from opposing ends of the table square up in Pamplona.
    • 17.45 Atletico have a suspension of their own to cope with, trusted defender Diego Godin serving a one match ban, whilst their only main injury is the continued absence of Tiago. They still field a strong side with Cata in for Godin at centre half and a strong looking midfield and attack.
    • 17.40 Osasuna have several injuries impeding their progress at present with the likes of Raoul Loe, Sisi and Ruben Gonzalez unavailable, whilst Francisco Silva is out suspended.
    • 17.35 Teams: OSASUNA: Andres Fernandez, Marc Bertran, Arribas, Miguel Flaño, Damia, Puñal, Lolo, Oier, De las Cuevas, Armenteros, Masoud… Subs: Ricardo, Nino, Llorente, Cejudo, Torres, Timor, Annan. /// ATLETICO: Courtois, Juanfran, Miranda, Cata, Filipe, Mario, Gabi, Koke, Arda, Diego Costa, Falcao… Subs: Asenjo, Pulido, Insua, Raul Garcia, Rodriguez, Oliver, Adrian.
